The 20 Best Restaurants in Reykjavík, Iceland | Eater

"Icelandic baker Ágúst Einþórsson, who learned the art of sourdough while working in some of Copenhagen’s best bakeries, sold his stake in growing chain Brauð & Co. and opened this two-level bakery and restaurant in 2022. Icelandic stone-milled flours are used for pastries and sourdough breads that can be bought at the door and carried out, though the restaurant also serves full brunches and wood-fired pizzas, paired with natural wines in the evenings." - Nicholas Gill

Is The Edition Hotel in Iceland the Sleekest Hotel There?

"A nearby artisan Icelandic bakery just a short walk from the hotel, recommended for its pastries and baked goods and suggested as a quick neighborhood stop."

Wow! Such a delicious bakery! We started our trip in Reykjavik and found this bakery and had to return at the finish of our trip! Not pictured is the sourdough toast with butter- absolutely delicious! Might have to return for a third time this trip! The brownie and cookie were moist and rich!

Visited this location in October 2025. Great service and atmosphere from this location. They’re a lot busier during breakfast. We ate breakfast and dinner on different days. Breakfast was a pleasant shakshuka with some tea. Liked the spices for the shakshuka. Good options (pastries!) and service. Dinner was great service, but the pizza we got needed more oomph or a standout flavor profile with the potato pizza. The crust was great though!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for some pastries and coffee! The Swiss mochas were the best that we tried on the whole island! We also got a pain au chocolate and a cinnamon roll! The pain au chocolate was really good it had the same delicious darker chocolate that the mochas had! Very cozy place! Would definitely come back to try out their full breakfast menu!

Had expectations high due to the reviews. Ordered the cardamom bun. Chewy and cold. Nothing special. Had the homemade sausages, small portion, 2 sunny side eggs and salad served was a mishmash not to my liking. But the service staffs are awesome a d hardworking. Polite yet friendly to everyone. Hard to get such staffs. Kudos to the team.

That was the best French toast I’ve ever had in my life! The service from EIBA was exceptional — truly above and beyond. I asked for my French toast to be served with maple syrup and whipped cream, which isn’t a usual request in Reykjavík, but she made sure it was done perfectly. The French toast itself was soft, flavorful, and delicious; the berries were fresh, and the lemon curd struck the perfect balance — not too sour. The maple syrup was impressively close to authentic Canadian syrup. My flat white was hot and perfectly made.

We tried Cinnamon rolls at a few popular places and this one was our favorite! Just the right amount of sweetness with a texture I enjoyed. We liked them so much we went every day for breakfast while we were in Reykjavik.

We were here for breakfast, we had scrambled eggs with mushrooms and my husband had it with sausage. Also had the best cinnamon roll ever! I need to go back to get another one 🙂

Really good food! Pretty expensive for just two people however. We had the bacon and sausage breakfasts, a cinnamon roll, croissant, and the swiss mocha. Everything was really delicious
