We were genuinely excited to finally try Sacha, especially after hearing so many wonderful things. The space itself is undeniably charming, small, intimate, and full of that cozy, old-world character that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem.
Unfortunately, our experience got off on the wrong foot. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, and we kindly asked if we could sit at a different table. The maître d’ responded in a way that felt unexpectedly cold and unaccommodating, telling us the tables were “taken” without any warmth or flexibility. It set a tone that caught us off guard, especially in a place known for its hospitality.
Even so, we were very eager to dive into the food we’d heard so much about. But, if I’m being completely honest, the dishes were just… okay. Not terrible by any means, but surprisingly underwhelming. Perhaps it was an off day in the kitchen—these things happen—but given the restaurant’s reputation, it was disappointing. We arrived with high hopes and left feeling a bit let down.
I really wanted to love Sacha, and maybe with a warmer welcome, and a better night in the kitchen, the experience could have been what we imagined. But this visit simply didn’t live up to the expectations.
