"Fine dining may seem an unlikely find in the shadow of the hulking Chase Center arena, but this stunning harborage from Chef Tyler Florence is worth a splurge. The elegant vintage-meets-modern design is an ideal setting to dress up and dine in comfort on a menu of steakhouse classics. Begin with a spot-on martini and superlatively fresh oysters (pulled from a saltwater "estuary" located in the kitchen). The Caesar salad and Dover sole meunière get an extra dose of charm, thanks to tableside service. Excellent dry-aged steaks (finished with barley, a healthier alternative for the animals and the planet), are seared to a deep mahogany and are the main event for good reason. Sides like creamed kale with crispy shallots also don't disappoint." - Michelin Inspector
"If you’re looking for a particularly luxurious steakhouse experience, then celebrity chef Tyler Florence’s offering could be a fit. It’sbullshe right there in the name, although technically the “Lux” refers to Charles Lux, half of the duo known as “the Cattle Kings of California.” The 7,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant at Thrive City is just outside of Chase Center, with a stunning leather and brass dining room designed by San Francisco design darling Ken Fulk. The pricey menu tempts with options like dry-aged tomahawk ribeye and filet mignon." - Dianne de Guzman

"Two Union Square outposts by celebrity chef Tyler Florence are now closed; The San Francisco Examiner reported the official closure and noted that fellow Bay Area star baker Belinda Leong’s B Patisserie is taking over the two tiny shops. A controversy has followed the rollout and execution of this revitalization program, with some locals confused over the $440,000 administered to the project." - Paolo Bicchieri
"Celebrity chef Tyler Florence’s luxe steakhouse that opened in September 2021, featuring midcentury-style tan leather booths and gold trim, roaming salad and dessert carts, and a menu focused on dry-aged Black Angus steaks." - Paolo Bicchieri
"Go ahead and be bougie about it with a meal at celebrity chef Tyler Florence’s Miller & Lux steakhouse, where you can start your meal with oysters and chilled Maine lobster before indulging in dry-aged Black Angus steaks dusted with black truffles. It’ll be a 15-minute walk over to the ballpark when you’re done at the bayfront destination." - Lauren Saria, Paolo Bicchieri
