NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"From a chef with experience at Crown Shy and Saga, this more than 2,000 square-foot restaurant in Chelsea will serve food that’s European and Caribbean all at once. With no disrespect to Nando's, Haymarket's peri peri chicken could be the prettiest we've ever seen: a deboned half-bird striped with orange and white sauces, presented with exactly one wing on the side." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

Where to Find Stand-Up Oyster Bars in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"I was reminded that historic oyster stands once operated in markets such as the Haymarket in Boston, where standing to eat oysters was a common practice in the 19th century." - Beth D’Addono

NuMarket Wants to Change How Restaurants Are Funded | Eater NY

"I see NuMarket as a crowdfunding platform built specifically for hospitality: launched in 2021, it frames pledges as contributions with rewards rather than donations, returning a 20% bonus in credits (pay $100 and receive $120 in credits distributed over six months) and taking a nine percent cut of campaigns. The company positions itself as an alternative to banks and traditional investors, offers workshops and other resources beyond funding, and has backed Boston names like Wild Child and Mei Mei; its founder, Ross Chanowski, recently relocated to New York to tap a bigger market and argues this model helps everyday people support local food businesses without onerous investor terms." - Emma Orlow

Centuries-old and still buzzing on Fridays and Saturdays, Haymarket’s independent pushcart vendors sell bargain produce and seafood. Chronicled by the Boston Globe and beloved by locals, it’s as much street theater as market.

It’s a Farmer’s Market offers fresh fruits and vegetables at very low prices. Everything looks colorful and natural, and the sellers are friendly. It’s much cheaper than any supermarket, and the quality is amazing — truly worth visiting every Friday-Sat

Very gorgeous area and going in haymarket gives you so many options for cafes, pastries, sandwiches, etc. whole area is nice with the train station right there. Very safe and clean and the employees are incredibly nice. Loved coming here i wish places would stay open longer though. Other than that it’s amazing coming.

Haymarket, Boston! Go early. Fresh fish , fresh produce. But the key is to go early. If you go later in the day most of the items are not as fresh. Fun place to people watch or of course grab some food for a meal later in the day. Convenient location. Gets hectic at times!

Such a cool atmosphere here and everything is as fresh as can be. Make sure you bring cash.

Very busy and crowded though rather calm. Commerce and transactions were going on though I do not know if people were "haggling" like the movie 🎥"Life of Brian" . An interesting aspect of city 🌆 life at a Summer 🌞 sunset 🌇.

Haymarket was my stop to get to Quincy Hall - a 5min walk. Free shuttle from airport blue line station on a Sunday. (Blue line was closed)

Great place to shop fruits and veggies! With good prices and good quality. Definitely much better than buying at any supermarket.

Haymarket is always worth a trip on the weekend to stock up on fruits and veggies for a week at a great price. Very quiet early in the morning, chaotic in the afternoon, and good deals around closing time. Lots of places to eat and sight see around as well.
