Vegas Dive Bar Legend Opens Triple Down Bar at the New Punk Rock Museum | Eater Vegas

"At 1422 Western Avenue in downtown Las Vegas, the Punk Rock Museum is a two‑story, 12,000‑square‑foot space that’s been years in the making: the stars who founded it donated old merch and instruments, now lead tours, and the exhibition is laid out mostly chronologically, beginning with the 1970s New York scene and ending with contemporary acts on the second floor. I meandered through displays (past a tattoo parlor and a chapel) and saw both glass‑safeguarded memorabilia and a lot meant to be touched, including a jam room where visitors can pick up guitars — even Fat Mike Burkett’s — or sit at a keyboard, two rows of chained leather vests you can handle or try on, and an upstairs faithful recreation of Pennywise’s garage complete with drum kit, amplifiers, posters, and a photo of Kurt Cobain above a black couch that Burkett invites visitors to sit on and photograph. About $40 per person on a friday afternoon and it was an absolutely amazing experience, I'm glad that I took the time to walk through. The museum itself is taken care of and clean. The atmosphere is everything that was expected. There's a merch store right when you walk in, a full bar/patio on the first floor, and a vinyl store on the second floor. The jam room was awesome, especially being able to hold/play the instruments. I look forward to seeing this museum develop and hopefully bring in some more authentic pieces/interactive exhibits.

This place is really interesting and very cool! It has a wealth of different displays and artifacts/memorabilia for you to see. It covers a wealth of punks history. The price of admission was very reasonable and you can take as long as you want to soak in every detail. It is a great spot for any punk enthusiast!

I took my friend for her birthday and she got free entry. It was a awesome experience so much to see. They even had a room you could play guitars in, and a great exhibition of punk concert worn outfits. Cool gift shop kick ass bar attached. We loved it highly recommended. The staff was really great made sure we saw all the cool stuff they had on display.

The Guided Tour upgrade is so worth it. Whoever is doing the tour gives personal stories. We did ours with Chris DeMakes from Less Than Jake and he told great stories and spent tons of time with us. He also Face Timed guys from Bayside while we were there next to their featured display. He took photos with everyone after and signed items. The bar staff was super friendly. You never know who you might see walking around. The museum itself has some great artifacts both on loan and donated. You could spend hours going through everything. You can also get tattoos, get married/renew vows, AND jam with real instruments donated from artists and using their real settings.

The museum itself is nice and packed with a bunch of cool things for the size of the building. My friend and I booked tattoo sessions with Alex and we both left with amazing tattoos. Alex was super sweet, funny and flexible about the work we were getting done. He really made sure we were happy with the pieces. I would definitely come back here.

We took a guided tour at the Punk Rock Museum with Karina from Dance Hall Crashers and it was awesome. The guided tour lasted about 2 hours and if you have the chance to do a guided tour with a punk rock celebrity it's totally worth it. We will definitely be going back for a self guided tour next time to have more time to explore on our own. The jam room was awesome, they had dozens of amps and guitars that belonged to and were used by punk bands, and they even had Wesley Willis's keyboard available to play. Rock N Roll McDonald's Karaoke has never been so much fun.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Punk Rock Museum. We did a guided tour with Dave Brownsound in October 2023, a solo tour in October 2024, and a guided tour with Smelly yesterday (Oct. 2025). We will absolutely make the time to come on every visit (we are from Alberta, Canada). The staff are excellent, and the guided tours are outstanding, you will have a completely different experience with the amazing punk rocker guides. Dave was super charismatic and personable, and my son loved playing guitar with him. Smelly was AMAZING! He was freaking hilarious, but he also told some of the more sobering stories (pun intended to make a point) behind some of our favourite music. He made the point to connect with everyone, and we freaking loved him. If you can’t make a guided tour, the museum itself is so worth the visit. It has such an incredible collection that tells the story of punk through different times and subgenres. 10/10

1st Sunday is free to locals. Great experience to see the history of punk rock. They have QR codes you can download and learn more about certain musicians. You will want to go back again a few more times because there is more you may have missed the first time. The staff if friendly. The Bartender, Holly, is so sweet. You can tell she loves what she does and is so so informative. Check the place out You will be glad you did

The Punk Rock Museum has been on my Vegas hit list since I saw it open last year. I was lucky enough to have the time to swing by a few weeks ago when I was in town. TLDR: this place kicks ass! Bought tickets online. Very easy process. Only thing worth noting is that the hours listed seemed inconsistent across platforms. Thought they opened at 12, but you could get tickets for as early as 10. No biggie, just an FYI. Vegas residents get a discount too, which is rad! Added bonus was the pop up market they had in the parking lot before entering the museum. Local vendors, a food truck, very loud music blaring through the speakers, and a beautiful lineup of tatted humans with mohawks and cutoff denim jackets selling their goods. Vibes were high from the get go, and made me even more excited to explore the museum. Misfits, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Dead Kennedys, Green Day, Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, My Chemical Romance, NOFX, Rancid, Fugazi, Bad Brains, The Clash, etc. You name it, they're represented! The museum has a natural flow to it. There's a plethora of memorabilia, instruments, lyric sheets, tour posters, outfits, zines, and a wide selection of photographs to gaze at. For me, I loved the Social Distortion room. I wasn't expecting to see such a large chunk dedicated to them. It was so damn cool. Additional fun elements of the museum include a tattoo parlour on the second floor (yes you heard that right!), a full bar downstairs, a gift shop, and a jam room with instruments taken from famous bands that you can actually play. Rumor has it they have a wedding chapel too! Hey if that floats your boat, what a memorable place to tie the knot. It's Vegas after all! My coworker and I had a blast. I easily could've spent another hour or so reading everything. For those who want an even more informative experience, you can book a group tour. I did want to add that all the staffers here were extremely friendly, too. Any music fan should come here at least once. Loved it!

I'd been to the Punk Rock Museum once before but last week was my second time attending and it's still just so damn cool. Probably too cool for me if i'm being honest. My coworker was in town helping me with an event and we decided to do some exploring. He's pretty big into this type of stuff, so definitely right up his alley. When we arrived, they had a little local farmers market type of thing going on outside with booths from some local makers. It was so damn cool that they did this. It was on a Friday late morning, so I thought that was a pretty cool activation to have right outside before heading in. Once inside, there is literally so much to see. You could do either a guided tour if you want or you can do a self tour. I believe sometimes the guided tours are by band members sometimes or people who have toured with some of the bands and have some real life stories, which is so freaking cool. We did a self tour though, and it was still so cool to see and experience. The museum itself is two stories and honestly, soooo much to see and do. They also have a tattoo spot upstairs so if you're feeling really punk rock, you can leave with a souvenier tattoo. And there's even a jam room up there, so if you plan guitar or anything, you can jam out in that room. It's awesome and so interactive. They also have a bar on the first floor, though you aren't allowed to take your drinks with you through the museum, which I get. I would totally recommend this place if you're a fan of punk rock music. And even if you aren't, it's honestly so interesting. It's so well curated and so interested. We definitely had a good time. I think it took us about 2 hours to go through, but you could spend even longer here if you wanted to, just depends on how much you are wanting to deep dive into everything. Highly recommend!

There is so much history and memorabilia stuffed in this place, and somehow it is organized in a way that is not at all overwhelming. There are sections divided by eras and genres. From the obscure to the pop, a vast amount of punk culture is represented here. The bar has good drinks and decent deals. Upstairs, there is an area where you can play instruments from various punk icons. You may even run into one or two while you are there, especially if you take a guided tour. You can even grab some punk flash at the tat shop upstairs. It has just about everything you need for a great walk down memory lane.

What a great museum! If you are a punk rock fan, you will love this place! Even if you're not, it's super interesting! For me, it was fun to see so many artifacts that are connected to many of my friends from Los Angeles. I loved seeing band flyers (that I probably even had at one point) advertising gigs at venues that I am very familiar with. I even sent photos of a couple of the flyers to friends that were in those bands! It was cool to see instruments, clothing, and other items that belonged to well-known punk musicians. I was surprised to see a dress on display made by an old friend that made me a vest back in the day! There is some clean video footage of the Germs that you won't see anywhere else. It's wild to be reminded of how Pat Smear looked in those days! There are also areas dedicated to Joe Strummer, Johnny Thunders, and others, which I enjoyed seeing. Upstairs, there is a tattoo shop, an "in memoriam" video playing (I was told it is at least 2 hours long!), and more displays. But my favorite thing up there is the guitar room where you can "play the actual guitars and basses played through the amps the artists played them through." When we walked in there, a friendly guy was working on a guitar and told us it is the one room where they encourage you to touch things. We got to talking more and it turns out he is a musician, too, and we know some of the same people. He gave us the low-down on how some of the collections were acquired - super interesting guy! Other info - there is a bar downstairs, they sell merch, and they offer a locals discount!

We had been wanting to check this museum for awhile so finally got the chance. This definately is a one of a kind interesting museum overall especially if you a fan of punk rock or music in general. The museum itself is nice and had alot of room so you never feel crowded while looking at the displays. The museum staff is friendly and helpful. Interesting was that the downstairs has a gift shop and bar, and the upstairs had a tattoo parlor, open jam music room, and even an colaborative area patrons were sewing on patches to their clothing. Overall, the museum has tremendous amount of memorabilia and artifacts, but one thing we thought was missing was more of a chronological history of punk rock and culture in general.

A well curated overview for the genre. The museum provides an organized summary of the music, musicians and fans. The museum also has a bar area and tattoo parlor (which was closed when we visited). We weren't able to visit during a guided tour session - perhaps next time.

We had a great experience! We went during a weekday so there wasn't much of a crowd. The staff are all friendly and knowledgable! There is a tattoo shop upstairs, along with a jam room. The bar downstair is a perfect place to grab a drink after a walk through the museum. I grew up listening to a lot of the bands show cased and it was nostalgic for sure! I asked the staff if they are just temporary and I was told that they are here to stay! They have plenty of stickers, shirts and merch at the gift shop which is where the museum begins. This is a must visit!

The Punk Rock Museum is less than a year old, but all the cases are full. They are thoughtfully curated and mostly grouped chronologically, then by geography. We had the best tour guide ever. Bax knew what interested us and spent the most time there. He shared stories that were personal which made it so interesting. X, the band, seemed to be a little underrepresented but if you treat it like where's Waldo, there are photos of Exene and John Doe throughout the museum. As someone in many of Billy Zoom's crowd photos, I wish there was a wall of those on display. You can end the tour with a tattoo or in the bar, but both of those are optional and unfortunately not included in the price of admission.

Took a friend of mine to this awesome new punk rock museum, and it was way more than I expected it to be, especially because of where it is located. Thos huge black and neon green building holds a treasure trove of punk rock memorabilia, from the 70's till now. Packed with band fliers, band posters, show, and venu paraphernalia, this place literally and figuratively rocks! No matter what time you grew up in, this place has nearly all the top punk bands covered through each decade. There's even a super cool jam sesh area where you can play real band member's guitars and even jam with them sometimes. At 1100 the bar opens, and they have some pretty fun drinks, and even sport a Pringle's can drink (hint* you get to eat all the Pringle, and have your mixed drink out of the can) If you're looking for some cool ink? This place even has a tattoo parlor. Swing by, give it a try and maybe even hit the bar and chat either the awesome bartender.

I'll keep this easy. If you're a fan of punk, alternative, or simply love musical history; this is a must visit while in Vegas. The Clash is my all time favorite and it was amazing seeing all of the photos of the band and getting up close and personal with their gear. The museum covers all genres of the Punk music movements; British bands of the 70's, LA Latin scene, gutter punks, SoCal, East coast bands, and even pop-punk of the 2000's. There's so much shit to see! I posted about 40+ photos. I was here for almost two hours and then got a drink at the Triple Rock Social Club. Funny enough it was about 3 o'clock, but I had no Paddy to listen to. Shout out to NOFX! Parking is tough, so just grab an UBER and spare yourself the pain of street parking.

A must for music fans. Punk is notorious for being Punk. Rebellious, loud, anti establishment. That was not the vibe, but in the best way possible. The staff was so helpful, friendly and fun. The museum is full of great memorabilia and pink artifacts. You wander through at your own pace and we got their early so we practically had the place to ourselves. Each display was thoughtful curated to tell the whole story and the photos add to the experience. Including a few drinks at the bar, we probably spent 2 1/2, 3 hours there. It was great way to take a break from the casinos and get away from "Vegas".

Everyone has an opinion on what punk is, or what it means to them. It's a culture, an ethos, a statement; an attitude, an aura that exists only to call everyone else a poser; whatever your preference is. But in the end, what punk boils down to at its core, at least to me, is that it's music, it's art, and it's a three letter word that too many people often forget when debating what punk is or isn't: "fun." That's what the Punk Rock Museum is. A dedication to what made and still makes punk fun. When I first heard about the museum becoming a reality a few years ago, I was beyond excited. To finally have that kind of home and a showcase for a genre I hold dear to my heart, and for it to be right here in Vegas was tremendous news. I know how much it has meant to the owners, the employees and all the musicians and collectors who made this possible. It's truly a labor of love. One of the things I love most about the museum is the constant visits and tours by so many icons of the scene, old and new. You never know who you will see or meet there. You can go sit down with one of the guitars from legends of the scene up in their jam room, and maybe one of the band members might just be there that day to kick it with you. Their Pennywise garage has already been the site of music videos for bands like Sum 41, to performances by Steve Ignorant from Crass. Maybe a band you love will show up to the little connected dive bar, the Triple Down, and play a set. I've seen the Vandals play a show in their parking lot of all places. It's not just the big names either - they show a ton of love to the local scene, up and down the west coast and here in Vegas itself. The owners clearly care about not only making this a national attraction, but also local icon for us weirdos out in the desert to drop in at. Whether we just want good tunes and some good vibes, or to throw back a beer, jam on a guitar and check out a piece or ten of history from so many classic bands that defined our childhood and our present. Hell, your favorite person from your favorite band might just show up to give you a guided tour themselves. You can bring the kids too, and show them something that they may want to become part of and pass on. Sounds pretty punk to me. I'm grateful the Punk Museum exists. It hasn't been here that long, but the effect it's had on musicians and fans alike has been undeniable.

What an amazing experience! Born and raised in Las Vegas, and a PRB attendee for several years before leaving, I now live many states away. Shortly after The Punk Rock Museum opened, I read an article on it and called my dad immediately! A lover of punk from the beginning (RAMONES!!) - he later introduced my mom to punk in the mid-80s, and eventually I learned what great music was when I was 18 and 2007 rolled around. I don't know what took me so long! I recently took a trip to visit my family, and while my time in Vegas is always way too short, it was an ultimate priority to take both of my parents to The PRM! On the first day, when I went with my mom, I could not BELIEVE the amount of work and love that went into bringing this to life! It was so incredible to see so much rich history, as well as to get the chance to meet Rob Ruckus! On the second day with my dad, it was as almost like going for the first time again. I saw so many things that I just had not on the first day! There is so much to absorb, so much to appreciate. I cannot wait for us all to visit again next time I'm in town!!

Very cool museum right here in Downtown Las Vegas! They have quite the collection as most of their displays are used and original pieces! They even have the very guitar that Dave Gregg would set on fire during performances! What I really liked was that they have each room divided into eras from the 70s to today! They even have a tattoo parlor, a full bar and even a jam session room! You could find something that'll stick out to you quite fast, for me it was the display of the nostalgic VHS tapes of The Clash and The Ramones! All in all would highly recommend you check this out at least once if you have the time! Thanks Yelp for the experience!!!

Calling all adventure seekers! We discovered something new and dove into the thrilling world of punk rock at the Punk Rock Museum! We had an unforgettable guided tour led by Ruckus, a fantastic storyteller and punk rocker with an infectious passion for punk history. We immersed ourselves in different decades and explored the legendary punk scenes of US cities. But that's not all! Upstairs, you can jam in a dedicated music room with the iconic Tim Armstrong's guitar or Wesley Willis's keyboard. Feeling extra rebellious? Get yourself a punk-inspired tattoo at the tattoo bar! And guess what? They even have a small chapel for wedding ceremonies. After our mind-blowing tour, we headed downstairs to the cozy bar and patio area for a cocktail and beer. We had an amazing time at the Punk Rock Museum, and we highly recommend taking a guided tour. Let the incredible assortment of punk rock memorabilia transport you back in time.

What an amazing place if you're a fan of music in general. The tour can be self-guided or you can pay extra to go on tour with someone. The place is loaded with amazing memorabilia and history of punk rock dating back to the 60s going all the way up to modern punk rock. There is so much effort and love put into this exhibit that also has a tattoo shop and a bar in it. One of my favorite parts was the jam room where you can pick up any of the guitars or instruments from a range of famous musicians and play them. Just an overall amazing experience and you definitely need to come here as a music fan if you're ever in Vegas.

I'm going start my review with a disclaimer- punk rock is not my scene...I'm a little bit country, my Hubbs is a little bit punk, metal, rock n roll. Celebrity tour guide: 5+ stars Exhibits : 4 stars Atmosphere: 5 stars Gift shop:2 stars Bar: crowded but looked cool 4 stars So today was a surprise for my Hubbs to have a guided tour of the museum by Angelo Moore from Fishbone, his all time favorite band. I wasn't sure what to expect but Angelo was fun and engaging! He talked about his experience as a black man in the punk scene starting in 1979, he talked about the people he met along the way and his influences. His creativity is amazing! Definitely worth the $100 to have a tour with someone who has lived this life. Some of the exhibits are pretty cool, so many fun photos, magazine covers and flyers from actual bands everywhere. Some pretty cool clothing items and instruments. Some of the exhibits have a sign printed from a Word document and taped up on the wall, kind of unprofessional for a museum. The gift shop... well ummm.. it's just a no. Some cool t shirts but overall nothing Hubbs couldn't live without. (C'mon a cheap little cotton bag for $27? Nah, I'm good) One last thing I'm not sure how ADA compliant the museum is, apparently they have a stair lift but it seemed a bit of a cluster for the lady in a wheelchair on our tour-we never saw her upstairs so I'm not sure what came of it. All in all it was a great 2 hours, money well spent and my Hubbs is floating on a cloud!

This museum is located a tad away from Downtown so I'd splurge and get an Uber. There's lots to see and the staff if very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking for a unique place to get married? Look no further, they have a chapel. Want to come home with a souvenir that will last a lifetime? They have a tattoo parlor. Want drink out of a Pringles can? They have a bar. This is definitely a must see if you have an appreciation for music.

After years of waiting, I finally got to visit the Punk Rock museum. Parking is a bit tight, so if you can ride share it would be best. The museum is rich in Punk history and they occasionally have drops in such as Fat Mike. Tonight, I was blessed to attend when Jonny Two Bags of Social Distortion was giving a tour. There's so much memorabilia that you can easily get lost in the exhibits. It's a small museum, but every room (including the bathrooms) had something to check out. There is a bar located on the first floor where you can purchase drinks in a tumbler and walk around. Upstairs has a tattoo parlor and a mini chapel paying homage to those icons we've lost. There's even a room where you can have a jam session with your favorite artist's guitar. Again, we were blessed to end the tour with Jonny playing "Story of my Life" with two other attendees.

This new museum did not disappoint one bit!!!! What a fun place!! We spent an hour to see everything. The place is way more extended than expected, they have so much material!!! If you were born in the 70s and 80s you'll definitely recognize a lot of things. There's a fun bar, a gift shop and upstairs a tattoo shop, wedding chapel and then more exhibits and even a jam room. Highly recommended!! We had a great time!

So did a tour for my birthday. It was my second tour at PRM. This time with Johnny Two bags from Social Distortion/ US Bombs. First was Spike from. Me first and the gimme gimmes. It was awesome. Here's my Punk Rock Museum tour tip. Do the first tour of the set. If they are doing tours Friday and Saturday, be there first on Friday. Get tickets early because they do sell out. Take notes, nothing better than artists that were at the scene telling you their favorite bands to follow up and listen to later. As always the staff at the museum is awesome, drinks are great and reasonably priced. Lots of good items in the store. I could totally see this growing larger then their current site. Larger store, concert venue, etc. I can't wait to see where this goes. Thanks for making a home for punk rock in Vegas.

Love this place and can't wait to come back for a guided tour. They have all sorts of memorabilia from punk legends, to include clothes, posters, set lists, and instruments, but my favorite thing was being able to touch one of Tim Armstrong's guitar. You can get married in their chapel, get ink from a guest tattoo artist (with flash pages from all your favorite bands), or grab a drink in their dive bar.

This will forever be a special place to me because not only does it have such a rich collection of history from a movement that changed my life, but I renewed my wedding vows to my best friend in the chapel upstairs. Everything was so easy to set up with Charlsey, and everyone that worked there was super nice and accommodating. The chapel is quaint and although semi-private, it was fun to have people watch and congratulate us. The exhibits are more extensive than I could have imagined. So many talented musicians are honored in the halls, and the museum only plans to expand with artists that may be missing. And if they read this, please add the Newtown Neurotics and Subversives!

We had such a fun night at the Punk Rock museum. All the staff was friendly and the display was a trip down memory lane. It is awesome how much they had. My husband got to jam in the music room and played some legendary guitars. They even have a chapel and tattoo shop upstairs! So fun! The best part of the museum was the bar. Matt was super awesome and friendly to just sit down and talk to. I had a Rum and Coke in a Pringles can. Definitely was a highlight of the trip. They made my husband's first Las Vegas trip very memorable.

I love music, as if it is just part of my being. I love listening to it, learning about it history, and trying (badly) to play it. I had a professor in my theatre degree program say, "Life is more interesting with a soundtrack." Truer words have never been spoken. When I heard that Fat Mike from NOFX was putting together a museum of not just music, but punk rock, I was immediately intrigued. I finally had the opportunity to visit, and it was even greater that I had imagined. My girlfriend and I were able to book a guided tour by Jonny "Two Bags" Wickersham of legendary Orange County punk bands the Cadillac Tramps and Social Distortion. For a first-time visit that is definitely the way to go. Wickersham was able to give so much context to what the exhibits meant through his stories, anecdotes, and personal thoughts on the various scenes and eras represented. It was utterly fascinating. The two floors boast artifacts and exhibits covering the beginnings of the movement in the 70's, all the way up to the modern age. My favorite part of the museum was the jam room, where guests can play actual instruments that legendary musicians have used. Just ask the attendant, and he or she will set you up. In addition to the actual museum, there is a bar onsite (the Triple Down), which features live performances, and a tattoo parlor that is definitely worth a stop (i might get my next tattoo done there). I have seen some amazing things come to Las Vegas in my time living here, and this is easily one of the best. I'm sure there a number of people represented in the Punk Rock Museum that would detest the idea of being in a museum, but the stores told here are essential to understanding our culture. Music, especially punk, connects generations and cultures. I can't wait to visit again!

Angelo Moore (Fishbone) was so personable as a guide. Told some great stories and really gave context to the displays in the way that only someone who was there can do. The museum is still in the growing phase and while I can see why some reviewers talked about the flow of the displays being off, having Angelo guide us was invaluable. He took the time to be engaging and talk to us after the tour. I told his assistant Angie that if the music thing didn't work out, he had a future in being a guide. My one thing to point out. Not sure if this was because it was crazy busy for Punk Rock Bowling weekend, but visitors, not on guided tours, would come through the exhibits and converse rather loudly, being unaware that an un-mic'ed guided tour was taking place. Not sure there is a fix for this as you are free to roam around the exhibits as a visitor. Free parking is available at Little Darlings next door. Parking lot at museum is limited but I scored a spot. Uber and Lyft are recommended. The museum is a visual labor of love by those in the scene. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I took my husband there as a surprise for his bday on Saturday. The place was AWESOME! It was so organized and there was SO MUCH memorabilia it was incredible! We took our time and went enough the place slowly, paying attention to all the detail. They put so much time and effort in this place, and it shows. Every single inch of the place is covered in something cool! We bought our lock to add to the gate and a bunch of souvenirs! There bartender Paige was so fun and bubbly! Everyone who worked there made the whole experience so much fun! We'll definitely be back!

My husband is a huge NOFX fan, so when we saw tickets for a guided tour by Fat Mike for the new Punk Rock Museum, it was a no-brainer! Our quick in-n-out to Vegas just for this tour was well worth it. The museum is beautifully curated and serves as an incredible homage to the punk genre. There were rooms dedicated to different decades' and countries' punk scenes, and they are planning to fill the rooms and walls with even more. The museum is owned only by people in the punk scene, and the passion and history were so apparent and interesting, even as someone who is a punk fan-adjacent because of my husband. Highly recommend getting a guided tour by an artist in the punk scene, and even seeing multiple if you're local or able to! Hearing Mike's stories as we went through each room was priceless and added an invaluable layer to the experience. Ryan was over the mooooooooon! The amazing assortment of memorabilia, the engaging exhibits, and the passionate staff all contribute to an unforgettable experience. They are opening a tattoo shop soon, and had a little chapel for ceremonies. If you're a punk rock fan or simply curious about its history, this museum is a must-visit in Las Vegas. My new favorite hall of fame/museum! It ranks up there with the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. I was there in August and spent the better part of a day there. The people were cool as was the gift shop. The bartender played "Shitlist" by L7 for me. I just wish they'd let you come in just to drink in the bar before 7 p.m.

Took a tour from Joe Escalate and had a blast learning his take on the punk scene over the years! So many items from the music scene in could go over and over and still find things I missed. Definitely will keeping an eye on the tour guides so I can go again and learn more, aka I can't wait to go back! Also got a tattoo upstairs from the amazing Shaun Kama while my wife waited down stairs and enjoyed happy hour and made new friends! Highly recommend and I can't wait to get back!

A work in progress... that's not a criticism, it's an encouragement to keep coming back. From pictures of the Sex Pistols to the actual mold that Devo used for their flower-pot hats... It's there. If you can, try to get a day with an authentic punk rock tour guide. I was lucky enough to be in a group with Fat Mike from No FX. The most famous to the most obscure: photos, clippings, zines, instruments, electronic equipment. It's there... and on the third floor is a jam room, were sometimes bands play. I was lucky enough (again!) to see the Dollheads, with the fantastic German Lucie sitting in for a version of 99 Red Balloons. If you're not a punk fan (in the broadest sense) you might not like this place... otherwise you'll be back and back.

The best! I hung out on Mike Ness's furniture and today was a good day. There is so much to see here and the laid back vibe makes the experience. I don't know if the Rock and Roll HOB would ever let you sit on Kurt Cobain's couch, play Pat Smear's guitar and hit a few keys from Wesley Willis's keyboard. It's worth going and you'd be an idiot to not.

This is a great place if your interested in Punk , especially if you like the music, first of all to enter the museum it's 30.00 per person there are 2 floors all proceeds that are paid to enter go back to the museum to keep it going for all of us to enjoy , there is also a bar on the first floor . There is definitely a lot Memorabilia that has been donated by the bands . Parking is a little rough since the parking lot isn't that big. I would definitely recommend this place it won't disappoint.. the staff that work here are extremely nice and knowledgeable..

I did the same review in google, but wanted to add it here as well, since Fat Mike and his people deserve the praise. The Punk Rock Museum is the real deal and damn good time. I did the guided tour and it was totally worth the cost. They could double the tour cost it and it would still worth it. I did my tour with Charlie Paulson the guitarist for Goldfinger and he was an amazing guide and just all around great dude. All the people that worked there were friendly and welcoming. Really, a don't miss activity if you're in Vegas. Thanks Charlie for all the stores and for just being you.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? I had high hopes for this place but maybe I expected too much from it calling itself a "museum." As a "collection of memorabilia", it's exceptional. And with, I was glad to see, some amount of organization around eras/styles/differences. But it was sadly lacking in explanation, context, and overall "usability". It felt like a bunch of really well-intentioned (and to their credit, passionate) people spent a good amount of time calling old friends to comb through their garage boxes for contributions, and maybe white-boarded how to lay it all out, but didn't really consult with any actual museum experts. Very few things are labeled or have explanatory text. I'm moderately knowledgeable about punk rock history, not even close to being an expert, and counted a number of glaring omissions that should have been explained somewhere even if memorabilia wasn't available. But hey, there's a cymbal or something from some crappy band that played the bathroom at the Warped Tour in like 1995. At least *that* was labeled. It doesn't seem designed with full visitor experience in mind. I mean, it kind of does... it's not just haphazardly organized and is clean and with a clear walking path... but the few bits of explanatory text are in really small font (do you understand the average age of your audience?), there are things that are unreadable because of distance (9 feet high behind glass), and there's a complete lack of really helpful things like "scan this QR code to learn more about what's in this display" or "scan here for a list of things to look for in this display" (which would make it like a fun treasure hunt). Sometimes one of the rare bits of apparently explanatory text turns out to just be a quote from someone that sounded cool. Having a tattoo shop, chapel, bar, and jam room is clever and that should hopefully give them stickiness and repeat visits. The guided tours are a great idea but IMO overpriced ($70 upcharge whether you get someone noteworthy or the guy who drummed in the bathroom at the Warped Tour in 1995.) I do think that given the lack of contextual and explanatory info overall, a tour is probably the best way to experience the place to get the most out of it. They've got a fair way to go and it feels like they're so busy congratulating themselves (not 100% undeservedly, it's a very valiant effort) that they aren't hugely interested in doing so and really taking it to where it needs to be. I really want this place to succeed, I would really love it to be the place I bring visiting friends and say "I gotta take you here!" but I can't see myself going back or recommending it unless it gets fully fleshed out as a "museum." Right now it's basically a super highly concentrated dose of Hard Rock Cafe. Sorry TPRM crew for the toughlove here, I'm really not trying to be a hater but I feel like punk rock fans should have a fuller picture of what your place's hits and misses are. Very valiant effort, but there's some work to be done and it's all within reach.

The Punk Rock Museum may seem like a contradiction in terms, but to write it off is to deny its historical and cultural relevance. The rooms are divided into sections that highlight different scenes and the upstairs has an interactive section which boasts musical gear that patrons can play. The staff is super cool and helpful. There is a room where people can get married, and an in house tattoo shop. I went through the museum a couple of times and still wasn't able to see and process everything. I am a music fan, and this satiated my appetite.
