A good experience with a side order of Anthony Bourdain hype — Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Bouchon Comptoir Brunet. The atmosphere was super local and quaint, with the marionettes a nice touch. The quenelle was delicious and the salad lyonnaise tasty and the pork belly smoky good, but the service lost its luster when we refused intense pressure to order multiple dishes per person. Perhaps the Anthony Bourdain hype built this place up too much for me. Either way, we still enjoyed it …

Impressive meal with traditional Lyonnaise food. The decor and atmosphere helps you enjoy a relaxed, lengthy meal with great food and better wine. The service was a bit slow, but I guess it was quite busy when we arrived. The meal was a solid 10. All the classics, simple, hearty dishes with character at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a try for anyone visiting Lyon.

We were there during the Festival of Lights and a menu was proposed but there was still a wide choice. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent! We had the œuf en meurette and the terrine as starters, the veal as the main and the homemade apple tarte with praline as dessert, which were delicious!

Walk in Monday night as soon as it is open. Just managed to squeeze in with a 1.5 hours dine time. Reservations recommended. The vibe is sort of old stone house. Gives you a feeling of strong tradition. We ordered and the food promptly came. Lamb's tongue - It great overall, the tomato sauce its on were great for the bread too. The tongue itself delicious. Oeufs en meurette - Thick beefy sauce really meld the egg and bread together. A tad salty though. Andouillette sausage - very memorable dish, intestines immersed in lemon and herbs gives you a chewy and refreshing feeling. the skin outside is crispy. Tablier de sapeur - reminiscent of schnitzel. Hmmm good to try once but no repeat order for me. The flavour itself is nice, just not to my taste. There are some salty spots from uneven seasoning. Overall experience is good, i would recommend.

Amazing place with delicious food! Really enjoyed the pork belly (€21) and praline tart (€7). Friends also enjoyed their dishes, so the food is flavourful and well-cooked all around. Service is nice as well! May be wise to reserve as it was a full house initially, but we got lucky and there was an empty table.

Another wonderful meal in Lyon. Dishes are delicious! So simple, but with so much flavor and cooked perfectly. We noted that we would have a stroller and they were very accommodating. Easy to work around a dairy allergy. If you are looking for the bouchon experience, this was a great atmosphere.

The best meal I had in Lyon! Had the Lyonnaise salad and the Quenelle and both were delicious! The bacon lardons were incredible, the egg was cooked to perfection and the quenelle was so good. The sauce it came in was a dream! Great ambiance too.

Solid Bouchon lunch. Food was very good and the service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed my veal with morels and my wife enjoyed the Lyonnaise sausage and lentils. The gateau brunet was excellent!
