Cuban coffee, small bites, paladar-inspired ambiance, local support

"Suite Habana makes a stellar dark roast espresso. The Cuban coffee shop in Wynwood brews exclusively with their house-blend Arabica beans that pull a perfect espresso to pair with their salty chocolate chip cookies or vegan banana bread. There aren’t a ton of seats here, but if you get one, it’s a nice spot to work. There’s a couch and a few tables, including one on a window display, where you can pretend you’re a mannequin. If you’re looking for a classic colada, you won’t find it here. They don’t load their Cuban espresso with tons of sugar. Get a bombon with sweetened condensed milk if you want something sweet. Though really, you should try their ridiculously smooth coffee in its purest form first: black." - Virginia Otazo

"This Wynwood spot serves Cuban coffee and small bites like empanadas, croquetas, and sweet items. The space is modeled after a paladar — aka a small restaurant that can be found inside someone’s private home in Cuba — complete with a welcome mat at its entrance, to the plush furniture seating located inside this coffee shop, Cuban tiles, and even its piece of the Wynwood Walls with a mural of Cuban queen, Celia Cruz outside its front door." - Alona Martinez

"If this place feels like home, it’s because it’s modeled after a paladar — aka a small restaurant that can be found inside someone’s private home in Cuba. Add to that plush furniture seating, a friendly staff, killer Cuban coffee (a house blend), croquetas and other small bites, and excellent WiFi, and it’ll quickly become a go-to spot to get work done." - Alona Martinez

"A bright, airy Wynwood café that evokes a paladar with velvet armchairs, hanging straw lamps, painted brick, patterned tile floors, and plants in the windows. Founded by Nayelis Delisle in 2018 to recreate nostalgic Cuban coffee moments with her grandmother, it serves a house blend of locally roasted Brazilian and Colombian beans and homemade breakfast items like mushroom-and-cheese empanadas, alfajores, and banana bread in a laid-back, intimate atmosphere." - ByMariette Williams

"Suite Habana Cafe is a classy, Cuban-inspired coffee shop with counter seating and a small-but-comfortable lounge area. Come for a quick caffeine stop or to catch up with a friend; the fast-casual breakfast consists of homemade croquettes (ask for the ham) and empanadas as well as locally sourced pastries and pastelitos (guava is a must). The cheerful owner is almost always here, and the staff shares her joyful love of Cuban coffee and her welcoming vibe." - Sara Liss
