This Chinese restaurant serves the best beef brisket and soup in Las Vegas—hands down. Once you’ve tried the beef brisket here, you won’t want to go back to 胜记. In comparison, the beef tendon at 胜记 is overly tough and rubbery, to the point where it feels like your teeth might crack biting into it. That said, the dim sum service at this restaurant is a downside. The dim sum sisters are overly aggressive in pushing their dim sum, which makes the dining experience uncomfortable. It honestly feels like they earn commission based on how much dim sum they sell. Overall, if you’re here for outstanding beef brisket and soup, this place is absolutely worth it—but be prepared for very pushy dim sum service.

This place used to be amazing I used to look forward to it every time I visited. They used to have the best chili oil the best service and the best dim sum in Las Vegas and now it’s soy sauce packets, chili sauce(terrible), and unprofessional wait staff. Luckily the food is ok but it used to be great! What happened???

We went for the dumplings however dumplings were only made in the morning. They sold us half-price dumplings leftover from lunch.. they weren't terrible. And we're okay for half price. The service was good the staff was really nice. Because we didn't understand the menu and what things were she brought out a tray to show us what we were ordering and explained each item.

Where my wife and I live in eastern Tennessee, there are no dim sum places anywhere nearby and it's something we really enjoyed when we lived in Denver, CO so when we went to LV, we searched it out and found this place at the Rio. If you like dim sum, service here is extremely fast where a cart is stopping by as soon as you are seated. The wait people don't really speak much English so you have to point to the things you want. Wish they would give you a picture menu when you come in. We found out later that you could pull one up on your phone. We only sort of knew which things to choose and missed a couple because we didn't know how to ask for it. What we did have (with the exception of one dish) was very good and like we remembered from years ago. You can generally tell if the type of restaurant you eat at is any good if the primary clientele is of the ethnic background of the type of food you are eating and this place had mostly Asian people eating there. At any rate, if you enjoy dim sum, this is a good place to go. The prices are very reasonable and just remember to pull up a menu on your phone that you can point to so you get what you want.

Service was bad. It wasn't even busy and there weres plenty of staff. I don't understand why my server never came back after someone else brought my food to check on me. There are NO condiments on the table (ex: soy sauce) or even salt and pepper. I ordered shrimp with cashew nuts and it was good, but needed salt (or a dash of soy sauce). When ordered it, I asked if rice came with it. He mentioned steamed rice. I was okay with that. When the bill came, they charged me $3 extra for the steamed rice. Be aware, the entrees don't come with any rice at all, you just get the meat/veggies. I'm a local and I won't be back due to the service alone.

Cart dim sum. Food was fresh. Some were tasty but not the best. Their crispy crab were good. Located at Rio casino. Service was not great.

A massive, bustling spot known for high-quality Cantonese dim sum and live seafood. The dim sum is wheeled around on carts, providing the classic experience. It’s loud, energetic, and perfect for large family gatherings, offering authentic flavors and fresh ingredients in huge portions.

Stopped in here for lunch. Seated right away and with a welcoming vibe! Service is non stop, as all of you know Dim Sum comes around on carts and various carts have various items. Food was hot and tasty. Items were not sitting long and were all fresh and well portioned. Prices were very reasonable considering you are at a casino! Staff were on point and tea was as served HOT and in a pot!!! Not via a darn tea bag! This was a very wonderful lunch and I hope to visit again!!! Two thumbs up!!!

This was a decent dim sum. Prices were fairly reasonable. I have to be honest that it was good, but I have had better. This place was convenient for us as it was located at our hotel at the Rio on Flamingo. I would eat here again if I'm staying at this hotel again.

Please read this before eating here. There are a lot of health concerns to be addressed. Most of the dishes tasted off, not spoiled but didn't taste like your typical dim sum dishes. We had a 1 star experience about 6 years ago but thought we'd give it a try again after our fav mukbang YouTuber went there. She might have been a bit nicer on her reviews but as someone who frequents many dim sum restaurants, her review did not match our experience. There were some goods. The staff, in general, was very nice. We ordered tea, bottled water, mustard, and chili oil and they came right away. There were plenty of carts available with your favorite dim sum dishes. The infamous chicken feet were one of the best I've had. Now for the bad... MAJOR HEALTH CONCERN, POTENTIALLY VIOLATIONS!! We sat and watched 2 servers clean a large table with a glass lazy Susan. We couldn't believe what we witnessed. A younger server took the left over hot tea and poured it over the lazy Susan where it was wiped down with the dirty table cloth by the other server. We felt very disgusted and concerned for other people dining here. The restaurant MUST address this issue to ensure the safety of their diners. Most dishes needed salt. When we asked for the salt shaker, that same young server told us they didn't have salt in the entire restaurant!! O_o what?!?! He gave us to-go soy sauce packets!! Our main server came back and gave us a salt shaker he took from another table (with guests seated). Our chili oil didn't have any chili flakes. It looked like some tomato mush in oil. It was weird, not necessarily bad, but not good either. The dishes just didn't taste right. Our fav is the white tripe where it has a nice ginger and scallion taste but their tastes sweet. We noticed carrots in the dish. The meat in the pork bun didn't taste like BBQ pork which we're accustomed to. Instead it was very mushy and didn't taste right. This was basically the theme for the rest of the dishes we ate: congee, shumai, brown tripe, shrimp hargow, soup dumplings, beef balls, shrimp in noodle wrap. If you're daring with some liquid courage to get you thru health hazards and don't mind dim sum tasting different from the traditional, give this place a try.

This hidden gem of a restaurant is located inside the Rio Hotel and has been serving up delicious dishes for years. Despite its long history, the restaurant is often quiet, allowing for a peaceful dining experience. The decor features a vibrant red Far East theme that adds to the overall ambiance. While the prices may be on the high side, the quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. The flavors are bold and satisfying, making the cost worth it in the end. Personally, I enjoyed my meal, although I do wish it was a bit more budget-friendly. On the downside, the service was lacking and the language barrier made communication a bit challenging. Despite these minor issues, the overall dining experience was still enjoyable.

Most of their fried items were solid, not the steamed items though. Overall, it was decent but there are better dim sums around. And the biggest disappointment was their chili oil 4 stars Fried wonton Shrimp eggplant Footballs Spare ribs 3 stars Siu mai - really small and just decent in taste Shrimp & chive dumpling Fried chive dumpling - wish they were served crispy 2 stars Congee - super bland Shrimp noodle crepes - their sweet soy sauce was off Chili oil - it was like a mix between sambal and chili oil

My go to spot for Dim Sum is New Asian BBQ but they were packed on New Year's Day and even though we got thee before they opened w could not get first seating which usually means about 40 mins of waiting. I had bookmarked this place a long time ago and saw them featured in a No Passport required with Chef Samuelson but never had a chance to stop by so we rushed here after our fail at NAB. We arrived before the crowd and were pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty comparable to NAB and the prices were a bit better (probably because portions/size is slightly smaller). I still prefer Tim Ho Wan but it's a bit pricey and it's not much better than NAB which still remains my goto spot for Dim Sum in LV but our Dim Sum craving were still satisfied at KJ and we left happy. A friend suggested we try KJ dim sum so we stopped by for lunch at 1130am. At first there were only 3-4 tables but the crowd definitely showed up after 12pm. It was busy but there's only 2-3 employees with carts. I saw other tables waiting for carts to come around which takes a while. The staffs are nice. One thing I noticed is they don't have soy sauce bottles. Instead they gave us soy sauce packets. Food was fine. I never got my porridge. Seems like they are backed up and fresh food on the carts don't come out as fast. If the restaurant had more staffs and prepared more food for the crowd they have, it would be better.

We are staying at the Rio and have eaten here twice. The food service is remarkably fast although there is a bit of a language barrier. They do try to help out the Caucasian customer. Everything was very tasty, very fresh and reasonably priced. If you're in the mood for some dim sum, this is the place to go

KJ Dim Sum has always been my favorite. I'm glad it stayed as a permanent fixture within The Rio. Due to the Chinese New Year I decided to see what magical treats would be available. There was a Smorgasbord of Dim Sum, it was an incredible display of the delectable dim sum offered. One thing for sure, this restaurant is always crowded and has outlasted the big conglomerate surrounding it.

If you're looking for dim sum in Las Vegas, steer clear of this establishment. Despite being brought here by well-meaning family members, the experience was a disaster from start to finish. Arriving at 10:45 am on a Saturday, we were greeted with poor service and even worse food. After an hour-long wait, we were served dry (meatball) chive dumplings, spoiled smelly shrimp dumplings, and other dishes that were simply inedible. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable, and the quality of the food was dangerous. One star is too generous for this place - unless you're seeking food poisoning, stay far away. Overall rating: 1 out of 5 stars.

Craving for dim sum and 1 of my friends suggested KJ, food is ok, service ok, nothing special, will try out other places next time

Delicious dim sum inside the Rio. Stopped by on a busy holiday weekend, and the place was packed. Despite this we were seated quickly and staff was attentive throughout the meal. All of the dim sum bites came out hot and fresh on push carts. They don't skimp on flavor or ingredients. Definitely get your dim sum staples here: shu mai, har gow, etc. Dan tats hit the table piping hot with nice, flaky crusts. The stand out for me was the order of snow pea leaves. Service was great. Staff was very friendly and took the time to describe all dim sum dishes in excruciating detail. Ambiance was warm, inviting, and what you would expect at a dim sum establishment. Pleasantly surprised to find some top notch dim sum in Vegas. 10/10 would recommend!

Food: It was a table of 7 and our total was $216. The food was okay - for dim sum, you can find other places that offer more variety. Service: This place has carts so they come around the table with food and you pick what you want. So the service was good. Ambiance: It's a typical asian restaurant. There's nothing fancy about the place but it's still nice.

We went for Christmas Eve Dim Sum. This is a tradition for my family and I always look forward to it. Got seated right away, but that was it. Then someone came over to take our drink orders - tea and water. That came out and then We just sat, and sat, and then sat some more. Someone came and asked if we needed anything and we said yeah the dim sum. We were told the carts were coming through. One person ordered Fried Bean curd which came out, and during that time not one cart came through. Finally after asking again, a cart came through; we got 4 items from that one; and then 15 minutes later another cart and we got 2 more items. I asked for spicy mustard and my mom asked for sweet and sour. Neither came. After another 30 minutes, the man came over and asked if we needed anything else and we again said yeah dim sum. He told us dim sum was over. What a disappointment.

As far as the food goes, it's hard to say this isn't the best dim sum place in town. So despite getting horrible service on my last visit, we came back and there was a significant improvement where the poor service seemed to stem from a significant lack of staffing. Staffing was adequate today. Carts filled with dim sum were making their rounds efficiently. Our water and tea were refilled quickly. Overall great experience to.

I came here a few years ago and recently on a summer weekend. I came here for both dim sum and dinner I recommend their dim sum, which is from 10am-3pm last I checked. I ordered 3 dishes, the shumai, sticky rice in lotus leaves, and the turnip cake. These three ended up around $17, which I thought was a steal As for the dinner plates, I got a fried rice and a mongolian beef. They were okay meals, but I expected better for ~$40 (both were around $20 each). So I'd choose a different restaurant. Personally, I thought my three dim sum small order tasted better and were more filling than 2 separate dinner plates here. The restaurant is beautiful, with the classic Chinese dim sum restaurant features (round tables, also smaller square tables, large TVs, aquarium, decor). The staff was polite and gracious, so I had a positive experience here. I recommend this spot for brunch/lunch and specifically for their dim sum!

My husband and I came here for dim sum. We called before hand to see when they served it. They serve it daily from 10am to 3pm. We went in at 1:30pm on a Monday and were seated right away. Once we got seated, the staff with the carts started coming by, which was nice since we were starving. It was very overwhelming. We had a bunch of the dim sum that we wanted right away then ordered a few and they brought it out within a few minutes. The staff asked if we wanted water or tea and so we ordered both. However, I did not know that we would have to pay for the tea. All the dim sum places I've been to, it was complimentary. The tea itself was $10.98 which was a "chef's special" and on top of that they added a charge on the bill for "dim sum tea" for $1 per person. So be aware... it was a total of $12.98. Not making that mistake again. That was the only downfall. The ambience was nice and large. They had a variety of tables. They also set up for dinner time making nice napkins for customers. It was also easy to find. We parked right outside of the Rio and walked in and the restaurant was right there. The dim sum were all delicious and super fresh! We will be back here again when we are craving some dim sum!

Came here for a wedding and the food did not disappoint! Everything we were served was delicious. They had some of the best Peking duck I've ever had. Parking is convenient with lots of it. This place is located inside of the Rio. I haven't tried their dim sum yet, but I would come back for dinner!

This is definitely a great option for Cantonese Dim Sum tea time if you're up for it. New spot inside RIO. Good spacious vibes. Excellent service and fast Asian style operations. Besides Orchids Garden, this place is not bad at all with all those traditional dim sum fast carts. It's probably one of the cheapest places for good dim sum quality in Vegas. Dim Sum Cafe near Summerlin is not bad either. They have pretty much everything you want for dim sum feast. Brightly lit up in red, it's a good luck start. Passionate employees. Lots of tables and chairs available during weekday hours. Some of my favorites include tofu pudding, shrimp cheong fun rice noodles, siu lung bao Shanghai dumplings, wrapped chicken leaf, etc. Hot tea is boiling hot. Everything always tastes great. Good chef in the house. These new places always have potential to shine as long as they're fully operated and in service. No long lines, no wait time, and definitely no crowds here. Very peaceful and relaxing dim sum paradise. Dinner menu looks tempting too. Bright red colors got my attention. New and modern. Staffing is working at their best. Highly recommended. We will be trying them out again in future. Decent prices here. Public garage parking is just outside steps away. Easy to find at RIO.

Had a weekday lunch right after they opened, during a stay at the Rio. Excellent service and piping hot dim sum. Dumplings were good, shu mai was very fishy tasting, not like shrimp, not sure what was up with that. Beef ribs were tough. Hot tea was soothing and paired well with my lunch. I would go again, if in the vicinity. Restaurant was clean. Pricey lunch, $46 for just myself, but hey it's Vegas.

Life should be more like dim sum: We should all learn to get Oolong! Let's gaaaaaaaao! We came on Lunar New Year this year (January 22nd) and had the friendliest service and ate the cutest bunny-shaped shrimp dumplings! Located inside Rio, this dim sum spot is decent. It's not going to win the best dim sum spot in Las Vegas but I imagine anyone staying in the area or at Rio would not be disappointed here. Service is curt and friendly. The people here work hard and are speedy so major props to them for such fast service on a busy holiday. As for prices, I found them to be fair and comparable to other Las Vegas hotel eateries. You can feel good getting a few steamers of dim sum here!

They have a wide variety of dim sum; the ladies are constantly moving around with their carts. However, everything is really salty. I am very conscious of sodium content for health reasons and because i am used to good quality dim sum in the SGV back home. Also, nothing says Vegas like eating dim sum with Lord of the Rings and a Chinese soap opera playing on the screens at the same time.

KJ is one of my go-to dim sum spots and has all of my favorite cart items like har gaw, siu mai, bbq pork buns, shrimp noodle rolls, black bean spare ribs and those fried glutinous rice dumplings that you can't just have only one of! oh man, wish i was in vegas right now so i could fill my belly up with some KJ dim sum! don't forget to save room for dessert. their pineapple bun is my ultimate FAVORITE!!!! i dream of of this bun and the yummy custard inside all the time. see you soon KJ!

In my opinion, this place is a bit overpriced. It takes too much time. I can't say anything about the dishes since this food is kinda special. Aware of ordering tea - it will cost you something like $12. I'll try to stay away from this place.

Happy 2023! KJ is a Dim Sum place in Las Vegas. It is the epitome of budget dim sum. The inside is vast and vibrant in colors. There are television sets on each side of this massive restaurant. As for the dim sum, it's similar to CBS in Los Angeles. The quality is about the same. The food is okay with the standard dishes you would normally find dine in at any other dim sum place. The food was alright. None of their dishes stood out to me as exciting or amazing, but the atmosphere inside and the tea they give is very soothing to my stomache. I was able to digest without any issues from eating the food after. The service is fast and the food is cheap. Dim sum is known for serving snack like portions of 2 or 3 items per order. Some are more expensive than others. We normally order the lotus leaf rice cake, shumai, vegetable dumplings and the rice roll with shrimp and sauce. The pork buns and custard balls are other great items. One of my favorites is the tofu wrapped roll with vegetables inside. The fried potato ball with minced pork was a pass. The highlight for me was the tea. It is very soothing and tastes pure. But with tea, increases the chance for kidney stones. So, be careful if you have crystals in your body. The price for about 12 dishes came to around 80$ feeding my parents and myself. We came here for new years celebration, but left a couple days earlier due to the high amount of people in Las Vegas. Overall, stick with Tom ho at the palms instead of this dim sum in Rio due to quality of taste and value if you are a fan of dim sum Chinese food. Some of the dished like chicken foot were available as well, but I don't like what it looks like so we ended up not having it. What I recommend is what we usually order with the custard balls as the highlight for dessert. The two hotels are off the strip but nearby. If you're hungry and are staying at one of the Las Vegas hotels and want a friendly budget dinner, both of the dim sum places mentioned are quite good on the wallet and the tummy.

So we went to try this rebranded restaurant based on a Korean YouTuber review. Some things never change, the dim sum is just as bad. Two items stood out as being terrible. The bean curd wrap with pork and mushroom roll, the mushroom must have been old, and it smelled. The shrimp roll also had a funny taste. Please skip, don't waste your money. What a waste of our time.

Good dim-sum food. I like how they have the carts being pushed around. I only wished that they had more carts since the service was a little slow. It was such a big place with only 4 carts going around. Fortunately, our server was very conscientious about the service. He had someone specifically call the pushcarts to go by our table since we have not had any food served to us. Most of the food was good. Not exceptional, but good. I liked the mushroom and ground meat in tofu skin. I am usually a big fan of black beans spareribs, but theirs was extra salty. Their goody ball and tarp balls were yummy. The dim sum was a bit pricey, but it was good quality food.

Pretty good dim sum with decent price. Located within the Rio Hotel. Don't park in the structure. The restaurant is completely on the other side. If you're looking at the main entrance of Rio, park to the left and walk in. Honestly, wished it was located outside of the Rio. Probably would get more business. Rio was so dreary to walk thru to get to the restaurant. The carts are slow to come by so when it does, grab it ALL. Everything we got were good. Remember to get the chrysanthemum tea. Much better than their usual they give. It'll cost. It was about $60 and all 3 of us were full. Worth it.

Service was friendly, ambiance was nice, and the food was decent.We liked the orange chicken(no actual peels), crispy noodles were okay, potstickers were good, and some others.There were no drinks on the menu, so you have to ask what they have(they have Pepsi products by the way, no coke). The walnut shrimp was okay, but almost no flavor.It needed more honey or whatever they add to make it sweet.There is a lot of seating and they have high chairs.It's pretty quiet in there though, so if you have a loud child like mine, maybe reconsider lol

KJ Dim Sum & Seafood is quite honestly the only reason I have cause to walk into the Rio these days. Man, back in the day, the Rio was awesome. Today, it is a dump awaiting the new ownership that will hopefully rebrand this sinking ship and bring it back to life. But KJ is reason to park your car and go visit this restaurant inside this dump, because it is simply delicious. My husband and I have been going t KJ since it was formerly located over on Spring Mountain Road. I still remember when this location in the Rio opened. Large space, easy access from the parking garage, bright red walls and authentic Chinese cuisine (being married to a non-ABC gives me a little more street creed to say "authentic Chinese cuisine" - LOL!). Today I write my review though in light of going for dim sum with my husband. You would struggle to tell me other places in Las Vegas with the old school dim sum push carts steaming and wheeling around a lunch-time restaurant floor other than here. At most places, you order dim sum off the menu and it just arrives like a regular meal. I find the historic elements of this type of food presentation most endearing and an added element to the authenticity of KJ. On this day (Sunday), the place is not too busy but picking up. There are several of their large round tables accommodating large families of like 8-10 people. At one point I am the only non-Asian in the room, which is always a good sign. To the uninitiated, a dim sum experience from a cart might be a lot of trial and error of pointing and picking, but most of the staff speaks English well enough for you to understand what you are eating. This place is nothing fancy and just an easy Chinese restaurant with dim-sum served during the lunch hour. Not horribly expensive like many things close to the strip either. With Chinese TV often on and things like chop sticks and napkins shipping boxes awkwardly stacked up in view, it feels like a Chinese restaurant like they can feel. But it is authentic, welcoming and old school in a way that I enjoy with each dumpling I consume. Like me, just close your eyes and get over the horrible ambiance of the Rio itself and go try for yourself.

Went in around 8:30 pm for late dinner after a long day. The dining area was practically empty and the servers were very attentive. At that time of day, Dim Sum is not what one would look for. We ordered three dishes; a sweet and sour spareribs, a boiled Chinese broccoli, and a YinYang fried rice. The sweet & sour spareribs were quite good. The spareribs were fried to crisp and the tangy s&s sauce was just right. The broccoli was boiled in clear broth and topped with shredded dried scallops. This dish was flavorful and the broccoli was fresh. Unfortunately, the shredded dried scallops did not really add much flavor as the amount was just not enough. The YingYang fried rice was OK. Presentation was good, large portion, but not enough protein in proportion to the rice. Do not think that I would go back for late dinner there, but would consider trying their Dim Sum for brunch or lunch.

We were craving for a good dim sum place! Ever since we moved from Washington to Arizona, sadly we couldn't find a great dim sum place where we can call "home". Coming from Seattle where dim sum places are out of this world! And once you had dim sum in China Town in Seattle or Vancouver BC, well, you know you can't just have mediocre dim sum! So when we were in Vegas, we decided to see if we could fix our craving. We found this place on Google and the rest was history! We ordered all of our favorites including Shui Mai, sticky rice, shrimp dumpling, spareribs and a few more. If you are craving dim sums, when in Vegas, This is the place!

The food is good. The porridge is tasty. The sweet tofu taste sweet. The shrimp wrapped thing is very good. The sweet tofu is very good so we got another one. The surroundings are very nice, it feels like I am in China. Workers were also very nice and kept coming to our table, they kept trying to give us food. In all, very good stuff.

Very clean and organized place inside the Rio. Honestly it's what you'd come to expect from a Chinese family style restaurant of this type. The nice part is you don't have to order huge ol portions from the menu if you don't want to. If you're wanting some light bites, just wait for the cart to come by and offer you some small bites or buns to gnosh on. You won't be disappointed either way with whatever you choose. :)

This dim sum is located in Rio Casino on the street level so it's easy to get to. The dim sums were average in taste and very standard. We ate shrimp dumplings, pork spare ribs, shao long bao and the porridge. Nothing to brag about. It was filling .

Went to meet sister in law and niece for dinner, ordered sizzling shrimp, salt and pepper pork chops, string beans and fried rice. Everything had very good flavor except the fried rice(yang chow fried rice) the string beans good garlic flavor, shrimp very good and pork chops outstanding. Recommend.

This place was BUSY! that's a good sign!! We love staying at the Rio bc the rates are good and it's close to Chinatown. We didn't know this place existed until we walked past it on our way to our car and we thought instead of going to Chinatown again for dim sum we would eat here. Not disappointed. The food was great! Your usual dim sum offerings are good and well done. The service was good and fast. I highly recommend coming here. Free parking at the Rio, the prices were very fair for dim sum and tasty eats. Can't beat that.

This place is ALWAYS packed and don't try to be polite because they will just cut you in line to get their name down. I stood by the side to put my name in and watched 5 old ladies push passed me to the front desk. The lady finally noticed me and ignored everyone but still.... Just get in there or you'll wait longer. The food is worth it! I love dim sum and the servers are always willing to go find whatever the carts are missing. I just hate crowds in general. So if you ever go call me when you're finally seated lol. Don't sleep on the custard egg tarts.. Drool.

I had a delightful experience at this dim sum restaurant. The food was generally delicious, although a few items arrived cold. Despite this, the service was impressively quick. Note that not all staff members are fluent in English, but that didn't hinder the overall experience. A pro tip: don't miss out on their incredible chili paste--it elevates the flavors! Would recommend for a tasty dim sum experience.

So I used to come here for some good dim sum, and located inside the Rio hotel, last time I came here, the dim sum wasn't that great, so I stopped coming here for awhile, a long while. Today I decided giving them another chance. I walk in and standing at the front waiting for the host, couple servers saw me, the host saw me, they are way in the back, but none of them take action coming to me, is like they saw their boss or something, everyone like oh...boss is here, what should we do now? I sat down, the dim sum lady brought me something, and I waited for someone to get some some tea, I waited, I waited, I waited and after good 5 or more minutes, I see many people came in and sat down, the table behind me is ordering drinks. I'm like WTF? So I got angry and goes "Yo"! Can I get some service here??? One of the waiter came over, I'm like WTF? You didn't see me here? What type of service you providing? (I know, is not a big deal but is a big deal, I'm hungry) So I ordered 4 dishes total, it came out close to $30, which is super expensive in my opinion, is dim sum, in Chinese , meaning breakfast, $30 for breakfast is like OMG! Service not good, food so, so Won't be back, I actually know a better and good dim sum place

The food, the service and friendly staff! All amazing, I had the shrimp in black bean sauce and my son had the shrimp and chicken fried rice . I loved everything! I would highly recommend this restaurant at the Rio Suites . This restaurant did not disappoint! I will be going back!

KJ is an authentic dim sum restaurant located inside Rio--it is a welcoming environment for tourists and serves great food. My favorite item on the menu were the shrimp rice noodle rolls and the shrimp and chive dumplings. The noodle roll was soft and paired very well with KJ's light and sweet soy sauce. The chive dumpings were piping hot and beautifully shaped. I loved how chewy yet elastic the texture of the outside was. KJ's dim sum items were satisfactory and did not disappoint-- I enjoyed it!

The food was good but I can't say the same about the customer service. I didn't enjoy my meal because it took forever for them to come around with dim sum. Had to waive the waiter down constantly for a refill of my drink. Will not be going here when in Vegas.

Kids wanted some dim sum after we stayed overnight passing thru Vegas. It's locate inside the Rio casino, smokers everywhere. Very unhealthy air for kids. The food was just below ok. Do not recommend for family with little kids

Came to Rio to gamble and realized I was hungry. At 10 am on Easter Sunday there aren't a lot of options: Starbucks had a long line, maybe 30 people. I've eaten at Hash Hash a Go Go at The Linq. All American restaurant's reviews were bad. Thankfully Spotted KJ Dim Sum. Lots of people in the restaurant . I got here just in time because it was a full house by 11am. Dim sum is a challenge for me because I'm allergic to shrimp. Planned to order from the menu but the dim sum carts were quicker. Got two orders of XLB (Ciao Long Bao). Each order is 3 pieces. Size is good, wrapper is firm but soft, and they are filled with broth. But they're a bit sweet. I'm not a fan of sweet meats. Aside from that, they were good. Wanted red bean bun but none to be found. So hot Egg Yolk Bun. I've never had them before and had no idea what to expect. These were quite tasty. Light abs fluffy and filled with egg yolk. They come three to a plate and are quite large. Similar on size to a Costco muffin but not as tall. Would order again. Got an order of short ribs. Good size portion but hint of sweet. Plate of Chinese broccoli were hot and fresh. Large and shareable. Would definitely order again. Servers were quick, efficient , and friendly. All in all, will eat here again.

I've been craving about going to dim sum for a week and half for Christmas Day! Finally got to go, we arrived about 11:40am and the estimated wait for two was one hour. I had a little snack prior to arriving to hold through so we waited. My husband called Ping Pang Pong and was told for 2, it's over 2 hour wait!! KJ is my go to typically, however this time around. Just for the two of us we spent $75 (skipped tea service) ordered 2 har how, 1 lotus wrap, 1 siu mai, 3 types of baos, 2 shrimp flat noodles, 1 beef meatball, a bean curd item and a sweet tofu dessert. Usually we order more and only spend about $50 between 2 sometimes 3 people. I'm not only disappointed in the increased price but also because the food now taste mediocre. My har gow tasted a bit like soap. I have to add that my husband couldn't to be fair. The beef meatballs were bland and now that I think about it, the lady didn't provide the sauce for it. My lotus wrap was what I really craved and it was very small portion and very bland as well. It had maybe a teaspoon worth of ground meat. The shrimp flat noodles were the best out of everything, but the sweet soy sauce lacked its usual flavor as well. Tofu dessert was alright, I prefer brown sugar ginger over the white sugar they switched to.

KJ Dimsum & Seafood located inside RIO Hotel & Casino. It was the first door on the right when you enter the building, with the red sign that you could not miss. The restaurant was really spacious and could accomodate several parties of people, big or small. We were a party of 5 that came on a Friday morning, and we were seated quickly after a couple of minutes. They offered dimsum carts, which mean there would be people walking around with different food carts all the times, asking if we would like to eat something on their carts. We also got to order something that we would like on the menu to the server, and they would bring it out for us later. Their dimsums, chicken feets, tripes, short ribs, ... were delicious. They were kept hot and steamy on the carts. For the drinks, we got hot tea. They charge $1.5 per person for hot tea, so drink as much as you want. Overall, a pretty great experience for breakfast. We got in and out pretty quickly, just how we like it every time we eat dimsum. Service was nice and attentive. Most of them do not speak English fluently, so be patient when you try to communicate with them. They were very friendly.

This place is very unprofessional, my boyfriend and I wanted to have breakfast here since we got to Las Vegas. The hours of operation are from 10am to 10pm; when we got to the establishment at like 10:20 nobody came to great us at the front, they just waved their hands at us showing a table and we had to grab our own menus. I understand that for Asian culture good service is something they are very proud of, so as soon as we sat down they came to offer us tea and some appetizers which I thought was very nice. However; the lady started to push with getting those appetizers then we told her that we didnt want to eat a lot of appetizers because we were gonna look at the menu and order our food from there, she got annoyed telling us that the kitchen opens at 11 and that we had to wait for that. We told them very nicely that we couldnt wait until 11 because we had to leave around that time, the staff around us proceeded to call us "RUDE" in front of everyone and to go get pizza in the front. I felt very annoyed by this situation because NOWHERE says that the kitchen opens at 11 and if we had known we wouldnt have gone there at 10:20. So disappointing for a place that's advertised everywhere...sad we didnt even get to try the food.
