Wife and I stopped in to get her a slice of cake for her birthday and for me to check out their cookie selection. Boy am I glad we did, their overall choices are outstanding! My wife got a slice of the Pineapple Delight, which was super yummy and quite refreshing. We also got slices of the Guava Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie and my first ever slice of Banana Cream Pie, something I had never tasted before in my life. One bite of that Banana Cream Pie and I was instantly hooked, creamy good with added slices of bananas in the cream. I've discovered a new banana dessert for myself! The Guava Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie was also very delicious and the guava added a great flavor to it. I also took home some cookies (Peanut Butter, Ginger Molasses and the Paniolo), all were as advertized, crispy yet chewy in the middle. They also all tasted really well when I heated them up. This is one of my new favorite spots to get cookies, pies and cakes down in the south Seattle area.

Awesome bakery. Owners are from the island of Kauai. Great blend of baked goods with a touch of Hawaiian flavors like guava, passion fruit and mango. Rainbow cake and haupia (coconut cream) cake is to die for! Everything we tried was so good!

The cake was beautiful and very tasty. I served it to about 60 people and everyone loved it. I got the Rainbow 1/2 Sheet and it was more than enough for everyone. I came from North Seattle and I am definitely going to get more cakes from Cakes of Paradise.

People were right, it’s a moist cake. It’s nice soft, and fluffy. It’s just really, really sweet. The cream that they use is similar to Cool Whip, and not actual cream which makes the cake a lot heavier when consumed. I think it’s a nice treat if eaten in moderation. I’d say give it a try, but with expectations. Service was friendly, and cake shop is vibrant and island themed.

The chocolate chantilly cake with coconut is one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. They even wrote a birthday message on the cake for us, without a pre order. We are very grateful for your thoughtful creations and hope to come back every special occasion

Just as the name....it is Paradise. We bought guava cake and a slice if Chantilly cake. Both brings me back home to the islands. They are my Kilani Bakery of Washington State 🤙🏽🔥🙌🏽🥰

We got 3 different pieces of cake. Chocolate, coconut and guava pie. My husband got the chocolate, he said the frosting was good. That was it. The cake part not at all. I got the coconut, the cake part was not flavorful or tasty. The frosting had barely any coconut flavor, the bread wasn't moist. Very disappointing. The guava pie was just sweet but also no guava flavor. The guys are very nice though. Also the atmosphere was nice and price was fair. I would not go back though.

Ordered a 1/4 sheet of the guava cake for our wedding last weekend and everyone cannot stop raving about it. The flavor was amazing, not too sweet, and is a light, moist cake. All of my guests loved it!!!

Honestly I can't believe i didn't know about this place earlier cause it's literally my new obsession. Maybe it's always been my obsession. I'm from Hawaii (Oahu) and this tastes just like how it does at home. Not only that, the service and ambiance is also just like that of Hawaii, warn and friendly. My favorites are the chantilly cake and the custard pie. I also loved the macadamia pie, guava cake, rainbow cake..... honestly, everything on the menu is superb. Perfectly light and bouncy sponge cake with the rich chantilly and a dash of nuts on top for texture is the perfect combination. The pies are silky with a crispy crust that doesn't run soggy. They also have a sister restaurant next door called Kauai Family Restaurant that is also incredible. Same as the bakery -- just like home! Parking is ample and the space is clean and has large tables and wifi. Somehow I don't have photos because I think I ate them too quickly lol. I'll take photos when I visit again, which should be soon!

Still five stars! Got some cake slices for a birthday, and cookies for the drive home. Treat yoself to a slice of haupia cake, guava cake, and a butter dream cookie. You're welcome.

I have already left a review, but after visiting many times since, I wanted to share my thoughts again. I drive over 30 miles to come here, and it never disappoints. Everything I order is always delicious, and the customer service is consistently excellent. This place is a hidden gem, and I'm glad I discovered it. I've made it my go-to spot for my birthday treat to myself. See you all next month! This donut and the coconut pineapple cake are my favorites. My husband's favorite is still the guava cheesecake.

We celebrated the recent birthday of a loved one and Cakes of Paradise came through in the last minute. After getting a recommendation from a dear local friend, my group and I managed to score a custom black sesame strawberry cake, which was simply outstanding. The cake was simple, but pretty. The colors were perfect, but the taste was the real winner. Everyone in our group enjoyed it, and several people even asked where it was obtained. Hence this review is as necessary as our order. The trifecta of most popular cakes include their chantilly, rainbow, and guava cake. The Hawaiian theme is it's so apropos, and the demand is through the roof in the Pacific Northwest. I really would love to try their pineapple cake as I've heard legendary things. Phone orders are necessary because email may get lost in the shuffle of digital clog. A lot of times they can accommodate same-day ordering, and availability of certain is limited. The Hawaiian theme is so clutch so many of their cakes may include tropical flavors such as guava, but ideally find finding time to order ahead of time (2-3 weeks) as ideal since they're constantly in demand.

I usually get their Guava and Chantilly slices at Kona Kitchen in Maple Leaf. However, I found myself in Georgetown, noticed there was no line, and one available parking spot at Cakes of Paradise (9/20/25). Score! Purchased two slices of the Guava Cake as takeout... holds up well in the fridge. Delicious, light, and not cloying. Recommended!

This place is fantastic. The rainbow cake is sooo good. The flavors are vibrant and so tropical and will certainly transport you to a warm beach. The cake flavors per their website are strawberry, lime & orange cake with jelly layers of guava, lime & passion fruit in between. It sounds like a lot of flavors but omg it works. The guava and passion fruit are the strongest flavors which is great because those are also the best flavors. Beautiful presentation as well. We bought two days early, kept it in the fridge, and it was still perfect. Anyway I will definitely be back to try all their other yummy desserts and would recommend giving them a try!!

This has been our go to spot FOR YEARS! The first taste was from our wedding cakes made here and let me just say that a drive from Graham all the way to Cakes of Paradise Bakery is ALWAYS WORTH THE DRIVE. The Staff is extremely friendly and I'm glad to recently find out a local Melody's Boba tea Spot is selling slices of their cake choices !!! This is bad news for my wallet ladies and gentlemen!!

Yoooooo THE BEST CAKES IN SEATTLE. My all-time favorite = chantilly, but I got guava cake this time for my unko's bday! It's kinda pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for!! I'm telling yall, the desserts are G-A-S, GAS STATION!! Certified broke da MOUTH. Kona kitchen in Seattle + lynnwood also sells slices of their cakes, but options/numbers are limited and they normally sell out

My girlfriend was having a 50th birthday party and had tried cakes from Bakery Nouveau but they were just too much. We were looking at an ice cream cake, a cheesecake and head exhausted almost all ideas until I remembered my friend had ordered a cake from here for her daughter's graduation 3 years ago. How that came to mind I don't know but I'm so glad it did. We went over a couple of days before her party and tried three slices of cake and ended up ordering the pineapple coconut and the passion fruit. They were excellent and even though we thought we ordered too much, by the end of the party there was not one piece left and so many people wanted to take a piece home after trying. There were only a couple of downsides. We had asked for no flowers on the cakes and they put flowers on and my girlfriend's name was spelled wrong which they fixed. For the most part the repairs looked great but you could still tell where they had swiped over where the flowers were.

Guava cake and Chantilly cake -- the best! So proud to see this small business thriving. It's always a must-stop for our Kauaʻi family visits! The bakery offers a great selection of treats for any occasion. I'm so grateful to have them here bringing local-style desserts to Washington, especially for those of us away from home. Pua, Mosley, and Umi are the best! Always feel the love & aloha when we come by. Service is amazing !

10/10! One of my favorite bakeries in town. The Hawaiian Chantilly cake is my favorite cake flavor ever and they truly do it the best! The team is so sweet and accommodating to all requests. We've ordered big sheet cakes for parties and they always take our order even with a little bit last minute notice. The guava cake is the next best thing and the dobash :)

This place was a pleasant surprise. We got the guava cream cheese cake and the guava cake. Guava cream cheesecake was very creamy and light. The cake was exactly moist and guava tasting. Almost as good as kings Hawaiian cake. I would order birthday cakes from here! One slice was 7.25.

Ordered slices to go- Amazing quality, successful cake business. I am so glad i found this business. My favorite slice was the strawberry guava cheesecake. My favorite part about a cheesecake is that it has a thick supportive buttery crust. Cakes of paradise slice did NOT disappoint.

If you grew up with islander friends, you probably had the good fortune of having a slice of Cakes of Paradise at someone's birhday party growing up. Everyone has their favorite but Rainbow, Haupia, and Chantilly were staples to me. They are a still our favorite bakery in Seattle after so many years. This little shop has awful parking but fantastic cakes! We come for the rainbow cake but stay for the cream cheese pies, friendly staff, and retro atmosphere. This place is a Seattle landmark! They also have donuts, cookies, cake slices and whole cakes, and various pies for sale every day. I think they might have drinks too. And if you've ever had a slice of cake from Kona Kitchen, the cake is from this bakery!

After lunch, I suggested this spot as it was nearby and was one of our friend's recommendation down this area. Who doesn't have room for dessert? It's located in between Woks Teriyaki and Kauai Family Restaurant. Perfectly located next to a Hawaiian restaurant for the full Hawaiian meal and dessert afterwards. There's a small parking lot along the street in front of the shop. There were a huge selection of desserts, including cakes, cookies, and ice cream, and drinks. My friend and I shared a pie slice of Guava-Strawberry Cream Cheese (cheesecake, basically). The dessert was so so good! Very fragrant without any sourness and also not too sweet. There was a nice smooth consistency of the cheesecake with a thick crust which I LOVED. It definitely reminded me of home as these are the type of cakes I had growing up in Hawaii. Very nostalgic! Definitely a place to check out especially for delicious tropical flavors that won't be overwhelming in sweetness. I would come back to try their cakes to see if they'll also give me the same nostalgic home feeling.

My husband picked up some pineapple coconut cake and their paradise cake! Sooo good! The cake is light and fluffy while the paradise frosting/topping is very flavorful and fruity! Huge fan of their cakes and will be back to try more!

We just had the most Gorgeous Fluffy Light Flavorful Moist Passion fruit layer cake from this delicious bakery. Last year, we had an equally delicious marzipan raspberry cake.

I have had their guava cake twice at two different parties. The second time with gestational diabetes. I took a small bite, waited for 30 minutes and surprisingly did not see a sharp spike in my sugars. Then I ate a whole slice. In the middle of the night, my sugars started to climb but not to the extent I expected. The cake was delicious and I am very shocked to see how my sugars did not spike as I have had with other cakes

I have been wanting to come here for so long ever since trying their cake from one of our work functions. I just remembered the guava cake slice I had years ago and just kind of forgot about it until recently. So, here I am. Ordered myself a 6" Guava cake just because. No special occasion, just to share with my family of course! I pre ordered this couple days ago to pick up just in case they were going to be out. I'm not sure who helped me with my order but when speaking to him over the phone he provided great service and even when we came in to pick up the cake. Everyone there seems to be pretty cheerful! They have slices of cakes and pies for sale in the bakery, as well. That's really kind of them to do that for customers who do not want a whole cake. For the interior, it was cute and had a little island vibe going, with a wall where they sold some clothing. Okay, so the guava cake! It was so good! The cake is not too sweet and frosting is so lite!! Everything about this cake is 100% GOOD! You must try this cake!! I will be back and I will definitely try the coconut cream pie and the rainbow cake.

The cake was fantastic. I came from out of town to celebrate my sister's birthday. I was looking around for cakes and found this spot and noted the tropical flavors. I'm a huge fan of guava and mango flavored things. I ordered two small round cakes ($40) each and it served about 12 of us and then some. The decorations were so cute and the flavors were incredible. If I lived in the area I know this would be my go to cake spot. Thank you for the service and the tasty cakes.

Came across their instagram page and have wanted to try it. Very clean interior and friendly staff. We tried a couple of things. My kids each tried a donut and loved them. Then we tried pieces of the Guava, rainbow, passion fruit and mango cakes. They were all so light and delicious. The guava was a favorite at our house. Wow, after writing my first review of Cakes of Paradise 5+ years ago, I can still say that review stands the test of time. Cakes of Paradise is consistently delicious, the friendliest staff, and the bakery has such a welcoming environment. During this visit, I got a few slices of rainbow cake (one for me and two for my sister), a slice of Chantilly cake, and a guava filled powdered doughnut. The cakes are always on point! Even after all these years! The guava filled doughnut was pillowy soft, and the guava jelly abundant. Nestled in the industrial area, it's a nice little spot of aloha just exploding with beautiful bright colors and flavors of the islands. Here to many many more years and rainbow cake! Update: since my first review I finally got to Hawaii last year in May for my birthday. I visited Maui and I can't wait to go back there and explore the other islands too

It's a cute lil bakery with a tropical theme. We got the chantilly chocolate cake and a pog Italian soda. The other person loved the Chantilly cake and would give it a 5/5, and I just thought it was good. The POG Italian soda was just fine, what I thought it would taste like. Service people were really nice! POG - 6/10 Chantilly cake - 9.5/10 and me 7.5/10

Delish custard pie by Bev. They have a variety of beautiful and flavorful cakes, pies, and pastry. Pastries included pineapple and guava turnovers, fruit bars, and coconut bars. Friendly service.

This is a Seattle staple to the Asian community for as long as I have ever known. Their guava cake never misses! My son's birthday is 4th of July and really pleased we didn't have much time to order and they where open for pick up! Go inside sometime, they have great donuts.

Cakes Of Paradise has delivered the community with such delicious cakes and treats for years. I love their fruity cakes, rainbow, guava, passionfruit are my favorites!! Rainbow is probably the most favorite, since it has a taste of them all and more. They're spongy, moist and so flavorful. I know some people love their dobash cake, which isn't my favorite but I also don't rave over chocolate cakes. If so it's gotta be rich for my liking. BUT the cakes I do like are rich in fruity-ness and check all my boxes. Whether it's for a birthday, baby shower, wedding, or even a Tuesday night their cakes and treats are so delicious. A little pricey but well worth the creativity and craftsmanship! I'll have to try more than their cakes and donuts one day. They also have pies and more goodies. I like that the place is bright, smells great and has a little seating area as well. It's welcomes you to eat your goodies while there, but away from the line to check out. More recently I've picked up slices to go, and service was professional and quick! If you haven't tried, it's worth the visit!

Amazing cakes for all occasions! We ordered a baby shower cake here for our family and couldn't be happier with the cake and the service. We ordered with only a few days notice and they were accommodating to get the cake to us on time and even personalized. The cake itself was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. We ordered the Chantilly cake with macadamia nuts on it. Everyone at the event was raving about how tasty the cake was. Check it out it won't disappoint.

Our new go to for delicious cakes since Borracchini's Bakery closed. Loving the taste of Hawaii! The guava cake is oh so yummy. Simple straightforward service, nice! We haven't tried the Kauai Family restaurant next door but that's our next stop.

I don't ever write reviews but the cakes here are phenomenal! I picked up three slices, the guava cake, chantilly, and guava strawberry cheesecake for my partners birthday. We loved all of them but the guava strawberry cheesecake was easily our favorite!

THIS CAKE WAS DIVINE! I am originally from Hawaii so I love that there's a cake place that sells cakes similar to the one I grew up eating! They have tons of delicious and classic flavors like chantilly, rainbow, guava, lilikoi and haupia cakes! The one I tried was the rainbow cake which was light and refreshing with their layers of lime, passion fruit and gauva and it was just overall a beautifully colorful cake! It was such a delight to eat with my eyes first and then with my mouth which was salivating looking at this yummy cake! The service was professional and quick and the overall ambiance of the shop was very homey and casual! It truly reminded me of my childhood growing up in Hawaii. There is a good amount of seating and parking in this area which made this a good fast stop! I am excited to come back and try the other flavors here especially the haupia cake because that's my absolute favorite!

Haupia cake, chantilly cake and the rainbow cake are my favorites! Their other cakes and goodies are delicious as well! Worth the trip for Hawaiian kine stuff!

Got my birthday cake from here after trying some cake from here since they catered an event at my work and couldn't be any happier! The cake is so moist and light (it was still moist even after a few days). I love that they use whipped cream instead of frosting and the guava filling had a nice tangy taste to help balance out the sweetness from the strawberry cake and whipped cream. I got a 9" cake and it was bigger than what I was expecting because it had a lot of height to it! I got it to serve 16 people but ended up with almost half a cake after (no complaints though!). I love all the tropical flavors here and can't wait to try more cake flavors. If you want a tropical fruity cake, Cakes of Paradise is the place to go!

Fantastic cakes! Top-notch quality. We ordered a variety of cakes for our daughter's wedding reception, using the Pineapple Coconut cake as the white "wedding" cake to slice. The other choices we gave our guests were Strawberry Guava cheesecake, Guava cake, Passion Fruit cake, Chantilly mini cupcakes, Guava mini cupcakes, and Pineapple Coconut mini cupcakes. Needless to say, there were no leftovers. This was a great way to have dessert, something for everyone, definitely colorful, and, most importantly, insanely delicious.

I finally fulfilled my craving, after searching the uwaji shelves and coming up empty handed, I knew I had to just come to the source. They had slices and slices of cakes and pies, and a few doughnuts- it all looked so good. My slice of rainbow cake was light, fluffy and the perfect balance between sweet and tart. Service was friendly and interior provides ample seating.

We still fantasize about our first taste of the Macadamia Chantilly chocolate pie. Enough said... We'll be back!

What a unique Hawaiian inspired bakery and I've already made it my mission to try everything on their menu. There was already a line outside before opening on Saturday, but it moved reasonably fast. Here's what I've tried so far: -- Macadamia Nut / Banana / Coconut Cream Pie - All of them are delicious and full of flavor without being overly sweet. You can't go wrong with any of these flavors. -- Rainbow Cake - Never had one in my life, but I imagine no one else may top how well it's done here. Completely caught off guard how good this was. -- Guava Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie - Good flavor and can definitely taste all the ingredients and how it seems fresh made, unlike other highly processed cheesecakes. -- Mango Cream Cheese Pie - Only one I'd skip, the topping was a bit too artificial and not strong on mango flavor. I had also placed an online order for full cake and everything went smoothly from confirmation to being ready for pick up on time. They also have an assortment of other desserts including donuts, long johns and cupcakes too. If only they weren't so far away; I'm seriously waiting for another event to order another reasonably priced full sized cake here.

The desserts here are amazing. So vibrant and full of flavor. The passion fruit cake was very citrusy. The guava strawberry pie was our favorite. Perfectly tart and creamy with the perfect crust. This place also sells island flavors donuts and ice cream! Not pictured, we also got some donuts and they were perfectly fluffy and stuffed There is parking right out the front!

I have heard so much about this bakery and seen so many of the products from here in various spots. I finally got to try a slice of the Chantilly Cake my friend had in her fridge! The chocolate cake was light and fluffy, and the coconut frosting was rich and flavorful. I love that it was not too sweet! (really let the cocoa and coconut flavors shine through) The frosting-cake ratio was on point and the cake was also so pretty with the flower on top! I definitely need to come back and try more of the tropical creations :)

Cakes was absolutely delicious! Loved them so much we had to have their cakes for our wedding festivities. Our favorite is the Chantilly one and the pineapple coconut. They do not disappoint! They also provide great customer service and a friendly atmosphere. They are truly a hidden gem and a taste of Hawaii!
