The Shelborne By Proper

My partner and I booked the Shelborne for our 5th anniversary and every single aspect was phenomenal. Every staff member is incredibly kind and welcoming, the rooms are beautiful, and we just had a wonderful, relaxing time! Crispy from guest services provided us with a welcome gift which was so sweet and unexpected. The pool and beach staff were also wonderful. Adrian from the valet was also extremely helpful upon checkout. I really want to thank everyone from this hotel for going above and beyond to make our trip so seamless and special. This was my first time in Miami and I will definitely be back to this resort!

Our stay at the Shelbourne was truly delightful and enjoyable. Everyone from Jenny at the front desk, to Shane at the pool and beach, to Marta at breakfast ,was phenomenal. They really could not have been more attentive and more accomodating a staff as a whole! They are all eager to please and to make the experience perfect - they succeeded! Its beautifully appointed, funky and cool and perfectly situated. I wish them huge success and would go back again and again

The Shelborne is a fabulous hotel. I stayed in the accessible partial ocean double room and it was clean spacious and perfect for my two friends and I. We had an amazing time during our 3 day stay. The beach chairs were so comfy and service was 5-star level from the valet and front desk staff, to those who worked at the pool and the beach. Everyone was so nice, professional and accommodating. A huge thank you to Will, Guillermo, and Jenny for welcoming me when I arrived. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I’m back in Miami.

An Exceptional Stay at Shelborne By Property, Miami We spent the last weekend at the Shelborne By Property in Miami, and it was truly an amazing experience. The hotel has been beautifully renovated — everything feels modern, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. The entire team is incredibly attentive, always ensuring that every detail makes guests feel welcome and cared for. The pool area is stunning, and the beach service is absolutely five-star — complete, efficient, and friendly. We also loved how perfectly located the hotel is, just a short walk from excellent restaurants and great shopping areas, making it easy to enjoy everything Miami has to offer. We certainly plan to return and highly recommend the Shelborne By Property to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and outstanding hospitality in Miami.

Wow — what a stunning hotel! The Proper Hotel collaboration was exactly what this place needed. The design is flawless — modern, airy, and beautifully executed. The daybeds alone are worth the trip: soft, plush, and impossibly comfortable. Service was top-notch from start to finish — true luxury in every sense — and the beachfront location couldn’t be more perfect. A huge bonus for us: it’s dog friendly! We travel everywhere with our 10-pound chihuahua, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. They even brought out water bowls without us asking. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. This truly felt like a dream hotel in Miami. We loved it so much, we’ve already booked another stay in three weeks. Can’t wait to be back!

I stayed at the Shelbourne as we were hosting an event on the Terrace. Event space was beautiful and unique, overlooking the pool. Rooms were small but had all the amenities, the grounds were clean, and the beach access and location on Collins was amazing. I wanted to specifically call out that the staff and service were impeccable - the front desk staff were personable, the doormen were so helpful, and the lounge and pool staff were friendly and engaging. I want to give a special shout-out to the manager, Jenny, who went above and beyond tracking down my iPad for hours, which was inadvertently left in the room safe in an inconspicuous, hard to find way. She not only found it but was able to send it back to me, no problem - above and beyond! I would stay here again!

truly loved this place! my favorite Miami Beach hotel now! We enjoyed our stay there very much. Such a relaxing vibe and everything is so aesthetic! Friendly too. & good coffee in the mornings. The pool is the best part and the beds were so comfy, I slept great which is rare for a hotel in my opinion. Also the loungers at the pool were the comfiest I’ve laid on! The lemon ricotta pancakes are to die for and we will definitely be returning on our next trip back to Miami! 🩵

This was the best stay ever in Miami. From friendly staff to gorgeous interior design and nice ambiance it was an amazing experience. If you want to escape a reality and find yourself in a luxurious bubble -The Shelborne by Proper is your place. |A special heartfelt thank you to Crispy, Director of Guest Services, who went far and beyond to make sure my daughter's birthday trip was unforgettable. Crispy even went out of her way and got my daughter a babble bath because I mentioned she liked taking baths. I have never experienced that level of customer service. Thank you, Crispy and the staff of The Shelborne. We will definitely be back again!

Perfect location. Fully renovated in May2025. Excellent service. Great food and rooms. Fully renovated with excellent modern decor and intentional interior design. Rooms are spacious, clean and offer great ocean, garden or city views. Service is exceptional. Shout out to Adrian, who is running all things at lobby, greeting guests, giving excellent recommendations, problem solving, all with a great smile. Also, staff on the beach: Andrew and Alexander made sure our chairs, umbrellas were properly set and were very courteous and professional. Lastly, food was also excellent. Breakfast options are healthy and vast. Food at the beach is seafood based and very well served. Dinner at the lobby bar was delicious. They also have great wine list and cocktails. All in all, an excellent experience that we highly recommend.

From the moment I walked into The Shelborne, I felt like I was on a true getaway. The hotel is absolutely stunning full of charm, character, and Miami vibes! I went for lunch and the experience was top tier. The service was attentive, the Miami Spice menu was creative and delicious (the guac toast and shrimp salad were my favorites), and the dulce de leche paleta was the perfect sweet ending.

I spent months researching Miami hotels before I finally stumbled upon this gem. I already trust The Proper name and the fact that it's a recently restored art deco property sounded so exciting! My expectations were sky high, yet they were still surpassed! Everything about our stay was more than perfect. We were promptly greeted outside (side note: maybe avoid the cabs at the Miami airport. Was more expensive than an uber, there was no A/C, and the fumes were awful). The lobby was beautiful, there was no line at the counter, and we were given cold water. They took our bags up to our upgraded room right away and gave us a little tour. The room was very clean and well decorated, as I've come to expect from the Proper. And of course, always stocked with Aesop products. We also had some surprises waiting for us that we really appreciated! The staff and management truly went above and beyond to make our stay special and perfect. The next day we used the gym, which was decently sized for a hotel gym. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. Then we visited the pool and the beach -- WOW! I commend the Proper for keeping as much of the original architecture as they reasonably could have, especially the beautiful high dive. It's only there for decoration (can't blame them, people would definitely hurt themselves), but is such a beautiful structure that really anchors the time travelling vibe. Plus, they have Super Goop sunscreen available at the pool and beach (as a sunscreen connoisseur, this is a great brand). To get to the beach, an employee takes you down the short path and checks you in with the beach staff. They asked us about our preference for where we wanted to sit. It wasn't crowded at all so we had our pick of chair/umbrella setups. We stayed at the beach for a while and had such a great time. The water was so clean and warm. I've been to Miami beaches before but somehow everything seemed brighter, cleaner, and more beautiful. Watching the shimmering ocean from the shady lounge chairs is a memory I'll forever cherish. The only hiccup is that we had late checkout but the cards are still programmed to automatically stop working at 11am, so we had to awkwardly walk to the street and into the lobby from the beach to get the cards turned back on so we could access the property. As far as hiccups go, this one was very small and did not cloud our fantastic experience. Finally, we took the private car service to our next stop. The car was extremely nice and the driver was super friendly and helpful! We could not have asked for a better experience.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were great, the food was amazing and staff was incredible. Would definitely come back again.

i love it here! i've been to the hotel before they renovated and loved it also but this is definitely an upgrade. the vibes are immaculate. loved the pool. the beach was also amazing but there was a ton of seaweed when we went so we couldn't go in the ocean. we have a toddler and everyone there was so nice. Adina at the front desk was super accommodating. Joshua, Nick and Adrian were also amazing. We cannot wait to go back!!
