Locally roasted coffee, savory & sweet kolaches, cookies

"The South Congress branch of the tiny Rainey Street bar doesn’t serve booze, but more than makes up for it with rotating flavors of sweet and savory kolaches, along with various ways to obtain a caffeine jolt. Takeout orders can be placed in person or online; there are outdoor dine-in areas." - Melanie Haupt

"The original Rainey Street bar’s younger counterpart focuses on well-made coffee and delightful kolaches from its window perch at the Maufrais shop. Takeout orders can be placed in person via the walk-up window or online; there are outdoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury
"Little Brother feels like a bar that doesn’t want to be on Rainey Street. The drinks diverge from the vodka-and-soda formula that’s more common here—instead focusing on tiki-inspired cocktails and a better-than-decent beer and wine list. There are only about four barstools and a tiny bar that feels like it could pack itself into a tiny home. But, reluctantly or otherwise, Little Brother has become one of our favorite spots on Rainey to grab a coffee and a cocktail and take a breather from the outside world. Sometimes with a burrito from that’s right next door. " - Nicolai McCrary

"The café inside the Maufrais shop limited offerings and hours for safety, serving only coffee with modified hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m." - Nadia Chaudhury

"I learned that Little Brother opened a new walk-up kolache and coffee window on Thursday, September 17 inside the Maufrais lifestyle store at 1512 South Congress Avenue in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. The Tiny Rainey Street bar’s walk-up window serves sweet and savory kolaches made by Lindsay O’Rourke (the executive pastry chef at sibling spots Better Half and Hold Out Brewing), with current flavors including cherry/pistachio and tasso ham with Swiss cheese and other fillings expected such as mulled apple and pecan, cherry and chevre, pork cheek carnitas with asadero, and pastrami and egg. For drinks the shop offers a full menu of espresso drinks and iced coffee (there isn’t any booze at this location), and because of the novel coronavirus pandemic it operates as a walk-up window with to-go orders placed in person; hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday." - Erin Russell
