MAN, I wish this were closer to Irving. Good pizza is hard to come by in Dallas.
Parking in the afternoon was a bit of a challenge, so don't be discouraged, just be patient.
It is a small place with only about 4 or 5 eat-in tables. The owner will walk you through the highlights of the menu.
The owner and I were chatting all things Pizza, and I was saying how much I love Tony's in SF, and that i have met him a few times and chatted with him. And of course this guy knows Tony too. "It's a small (pizza) world after all"
We decided on the super thin margarita Skinny Marge pizza with sausage (he gets the sausage from some special place and it was delish, not that crappy small crumble crap a lot of places in Texas uses). We also got the Roadrunner sandwich that is the ode to Anthony Bourdain with the fried mortadella, and an order of the chick pea fries.
My favorite thing was the pizza, it was indeed the thinest pizza crust I ever had, not too much sauce and little pieces of high quality sausage. The sandwich was also good, though I couldn't really detect that the mortadella was fried, the bread was perfect though. The chick pea fries were fine, I wouldn't order them again though.
