Tom Sietsema Rates Rooster & Owl Worthy of Three Stars | Eater DC

"I was particularly enamored with the pho Lao som soup at Sen Khao, the noodle stall from Thip Khao and Padaek chef Seng Luangrath: with its base of sour chicken broth, the soup is a collision of colors and ingredients — garlic chips, scallions, stewed tomatoes, chile oil, fish sauce, dried shrimp, celery, preserved cabbage, peanuts and noodles — and its power is derived from its twin poles of attraction and repulsion, life and death, sweetness and decay. You won't understand it, even after it's gone." - Gabe Hiatt

This is my new favorite Thai restaurant! Every dish we ordered was full of flavor — the tom yum noodle soup and the pad Thai were perfectly balanced, and the papaya salad with salted egg yolk was very unqiue. Service was fast without feeling rushed, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were very nice and attentive. I would definitely come back!

The noodles here are absolutely delicious! The Yen Ta Fo is super flavorful and rich. The crab curry with noodles is also amazing — a bit spicy but so tasty. The seafood pad cha goes perfectly with rice and is full of flavor. The staff are really friendly and lovely too. Highly recommend!

If you love Thai food, you have to eat here. The Isan sausage appetizer is the most delicious sausage I've ever eaten. I order it every time I eat here, and I make sure everyone I dine with tries it. I can't wait to return for more. Everyone agrees that it's fantastic. The panang curry is an easy recommendation. One of my personal favorites is the Thai papaya salad. I love the fried tofu, too. I've ordered or tried at least ten different items on the menu so far and all of them have been delicious. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Be patient when you come, though. They make fresh food here, so it might take a few minutes longer. You won't be disappointed in the wait, though.

This is the best Thai restaurant in Las Vegas. It is very authentic. It tastes like I am in Thailand. I have lived in Thailand for more than 10 years so believe me I know good Thai food. Most people fly here to gamble, but this restaurant is a sure thing, not a gamble. If you like Thai food this is the place. The food and service is so good they deserve 6+ stars because they are off the chart delicious. I will be back here again. Don’t miss this one!!! Sawadee!

Google
Highly recommended! This place truly serves some of the best Thai food in Las Vegas. Every dish is packed with authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and careful preparation that really stands out. The menu offers a great variety, and the portions are generous without being overpriced. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it just as perfect for a casual lunch as it is for a nice dinner with friends or family. If you're craving real Thai flavors at a reasonable price, this is definitely the spot to visit☺️👍

Google
Incredible food. Peter was so helpful in taking our order and recommending his favorite dishes. Haven’t had such stellar Thai food since visiting Thailand! The Khai Soy was a stand out favorite, give it a try! Also loved the Thai Tea and Thai Green Tea; never had the green tea variant before and it was so good! This place deserves its 5.0 star reviews!

I was visiting Vegas and saw that a new Thai restaurant had opened recently. The restaurant was super clean, the servers were very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend the Pad Thai with shrimp and Tom Yum Noodle Soup. We got the spice level 3 out of 5, and as a spicy food enjoyer, it was a mild/medium spicy. They even brought out a tray of spices and pickles peppers to make our meal even spicier. Overall, would highly recommend.

Google
I gotta say having a good place to eat Thai food very refreshing. Not in the mainstream strip able to get away very family orientated, great staff. Great service, great food. The ambience is great, very attentive. The tastes and death of complexity in such simple dishes really presented. Well, made you want to eat them in this case. Eat them twice really fantastic. See my pictures, you'll understand

Yelp
Wow, that's a good way to describe this place... We have our usual spot whenever we're in Vegas that we visit. But with the big game going on, I didn't want to deal with all the traffic getting there. So we found this place on Yelp of course. It's in the Chinatown area of town. There's parking lot along the front of the entrance of the restaurant. Once inside, there's a pretty nice wall fixture of Thai accessories both for cooking and daily use. Not sure if they're for sale or ifs it's part of the decor. On the other end, it's like a mini store with spices, goodies, ingredients and other Thai items. The restaurant is one main room. It's very industrial chic with the tables and metal chairs. Also I've never seen the metal and wooden chairs in a love seat version. It was pretty cool. Menu wise has an amazing options on everything. Classic Thai dishes to chef specialties. There were loads of amazing dishes on the menu. Also, I don't think they serve alcohol as we didn't see any on the drink list. Food, we started off with the Thai style papaya salad. Portion wise was pretty good. It was perfect for sharing. Spice level is from 1 to 5. Depending on how spicy you like your dishes. It was quite tasty with or without rice. I prefer having mine with rice. Also had an order of the chicken larb which came with cucumber slices and cabbage. That as well was perfectly seasoned and spice level was perfect. Minced chicken with onions and all the Thai spices and veggies chopped up together. It's was very good. Entrees, the panang curry with chicken mixed with bell pepper and Asian long beans. Curry was nice and rich and the coconut milk was a perfect match. The drunken noodles with mixed seafood were very good. The veggies and thick rice noodles were a nice mix with the seafood of shrimp, mussels and squid. A dish that's highly recommended. And the tom yum noodle soup. Let me say this dish was excellent. I've had many versions of it and this by far was my favorite. The different mixtures of meat, Chinese broccoli, bean spouts and fish balls. Also a first time having it with fried pork belly. It was amazing and definitely worth it. Everything was excellent. Service was great and food was a perfect match. An incredible menu with incredible food. Portion is pretty good in size. Pricewise, it's pretty common now but some dish were a little pricey. Overall, we found a new Thai place in Vegas that a must. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I dined here earlier this week with a party of 10. The restaurant was very clean and the service was good. There's a sign near their pay window that says that they're 'not a fast food restaurant so please be patient' and I thought that was so cheeky. No one in my family had an issue with the wait time and the service was excellent. I really like when restaurants monitor glasses of water and make sure they are filled so that was a plus. I had to dock a star because the drunken noodles were not good! And Level 4 out of 5 spicy was not spicy at all! Just extremely salty. I don't know what they put in there... it was an adapted recipe to accommodate my gluten allergy. If it was going to taste so different than the original recipe, it would have been nice if I was told this so that I could look into ordering something else.

Yelp
We walked in around 7pm and were seated immediately. It is a small place and ambiance seemed okay. We ordered the tom kha hotspot spice level 4 and pineapple cashew fried rice spice level 3. The food arrived after 10 minutes. The soup was very thin and tasted more like tom yum but not Tom Kha. They deep fried tofu to a crisp and it was tasteless. I would rate the soup 2/5. The fried rice had tofu and onions and large chunks of canned pineapples, we did not enjoy it. The people seemed nice and service was good.

Yelp
Sen Thai is a bit of a hidden gem tucked behind Shanghai Plaza. The food here is excellent! I ordered the Pad Thai and the Beef Panang Curry. Both dishes were bursting with rich, authentic flavors. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with a hint of tanginess, while the Beef Panang Curry was creamy, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. The spice level was just right, enough to give a little kick without being overwhelming. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Thai food in a cozy and welcoming setting!

Yelp
After a long day of exploring Death Valley, I headed straight to Sen Thai Noodle for dinner as soon as I got back into town. I love Thai food and even spent time in Thailand sampling dishes in different cities. So, I'm picky when it comes to authenticity. It's hard to find real Thai flavors in my city, so when I heard Sen Thai serves authentic food, I knew I had to try it. I went alone and was immediately seated. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The menu had so many tempting options, but I decided on the Spicy Catfish ($24.95). The catfish was deep-fried and stir-fried with bell peppers, basil, finger root, fresh peppercorns, and a flavorful curry sauce, served with rice on the side. The dish was aromatic and perfectly spicy. Despite being deep-fried, the catfish was tender and juicy, and the combination of herbs and fresh peppercorns really elevated the flavor. This felt like a true taste of Thailand in the middle of Las Vegas. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine.

Yelp
As a Thai who grew up in Thailand, I can confidently say this is THE BEST Thai noodle spot in town!!! This is the closest taste to home. My favorites are the Tom Yum noodle and Yen Ta Fo noodle, both are so flavorful! The boat noodle is perfect too, barely any five-spice taste, which is exactly how it's supposed to be! Peter was our server and kept us laughing with his Thai jokes. Amazing food and great service, we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Parking was easy altho it's a small lot. The staff is attentive and very kind. The space is a small family owned establishment. We ordered duck Khao soi and it was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
We went there for lunch, but they had no lunch specials. They wanted us to pay as much for dinner as for lunch. A $30 bowl of soup was definitely out of the question. So, we left without buying anything.

Yelp
My partner is from Thailand and was so impressed by the spicy catfish batter and how the yentafo tasted pretty similar to what they had back in Thailand. I've never tried any of these foods before but, wow, the flavor profiles on everything we ate was top-notch. The Thai ice cream bun was sooo good. They sprinkled nuts over the coconut ice cream, and with the sticky rice on top of the bun, the taste and texture of everything surprisingly worked well. My partner said they haven't had Thai ice cream bun since they were in Thailand, and I hesitantly ended up offering some of my portion because I could tell they were eyeing my half It's been a few weeks, but I'm definitely craving Sen Thai again. Excited to try some of their other dishes! There was one waitress working the night we went, but I couldn't even tell there was only one. She was fast and on top of it. The restaurant was cutely designed. Loved seeing the image of the black cat eating noodles as I went to the bathroom. Overall, a nice place to have a date night or just eat with friends.

Yelp
new hidden gem!!! this restaurant is right off spring mountain, kind of in a weird spot with small parking but once you go inside it's the complete opposite. so beautiful! all the food tasted so good. the fish was soo crispy with the delicious sauce. pad thai was so good and refreshing. my family and i ordered around 7 dishes and all came out very fast! definitely will be back. also side note from a person who likes to look at the menu/food before coming, i love that the owner has pictures of all the food on yelp!

Yelp
I came in there and it was pretty empty. I was the only customer on a Monday noon. I think the location is just bad. Its not really a tourist area and its not really a local spot... Well, maybe it is. I thought it was kinda expensive for a local spot. The prices were more for tourists. Most dishes were like 30+ i was looking for noodles but decided on thai basil ground beef. I eat this thing all the time in thailand. But its always ground pork I think in thailand. Anyways. It was really good. I can say better than thailand. I think cuz better ingredients. I usually get this for 200B at cheap mall stalls. Which is like $5-6. This one is $20. It is what it is. I dunno if its cheaper in bay area local spots. It is not cheap that's for sure. But it was good.

Yelp
Love the interior decor of this restaurant that represents their culture. Food is amazing! They got my pad thai meat order wrong but didn't make a fuss about it. Excellent dining experience. Never had Massaman curry before and it was delish!

Yelp
Found this cute Thai restaurant in China Town and boy am I happy I did! The restaurant is really cute inside and the restrooms are very clean. I believe the server mentioned they hadn't been open very long and he seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Also, He was more than accommodating when I asked for steamed vegetables instead of rice and even those weren't over cooked and still had some texture to them. We order the Spicy Basil and also the Yen Ta Fo. The Yen Ta Fo was some of the best we have had! The portions were a very good size and value. The flavors were spot on! Can't wait to head back.

Yelp
Two of my friends recommended Sen Thai Noodle to me. They both said that the food was executed quite well and worth the visit. Therefore, I rounded up some friends and went in for dinner on a Sunday night. We had a party of 6 and were seated promptly at a long table. The establishment itself isn't that big. There were only several tables and wasn't busy the night we went, which was good for us. It means less waiting! We decided to order a few things to share: Pad thai with chicken - pretty decent. I think it could use more tamarind flavor but as far as pad thai goes, it's probably one of the better ones in the valley. The chicken pieces were decently sized and very tender. Drunken noodle with chicken - I think we got this at a level 2 or 3 spice but it didn't really taste spicy. Good flavoring, good amount of veggies, and overall solid dish. Massaman curry with beef - Great flavor profile as it has the sweet, the savory, and some spice. I think we also got this at a level 2 or 3 but didn't really taste spicy. Good amount of beef and potatoes in there and goes great with rice. Crab fried rice - decent. It's not the best crab fried rice I've had it town but definitely not the worst. It has a good amount of crab in it as well. If you like to eat spicy foods, I'd recommend eating this with pickled peppers or the fish sauce with thai peppers. Crying tiger - the grilled ribeye was cooked perfectly. It was tender and juicy. It also came with a thai chili lime sauce that had all the tasting profiles: sweet, salty, and spicy. It was absolutely delicious and my favorite dish of the night. Pad kana moo grob - crispy pork belly with chinese broccoli. Pretty decent but some pieces of the crispy pork belly were very dry. Custard toast (pandan) - I think this is just a giant block of toast with a thin pandan custard poured on top. I mean, it was delicious and another favorite. The toast was soft and it soaked up all the pandan. It wasn't too sweet and was a great ending to our meal. Overall, Sen Thai is decent. They execute the dishes well and the prices are pretty average compared to other thai establishments. Portion sizes are good and service was good as well. Loved that they left the whole sauce tray with us so we got all the peppers and hot sauces that we wanted.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm with a party of 6. Sen Thai is a fairly new opened thai restaurant sitting unknowningly behind the bustling Shanghai Plaza, on Arville, between Desert Inn and Spring Mountain. If it wasn't for yelp, I would've never knew this existed here. We were instantly seated in the long table in the middle of the restaurant, that's "separated" with a wall with another table. One of my friends had came here recently and said Sen Thai was good so we all decided to come and check it out. Since we had a decent amount of people, we decided to order a variety of things (BEEF +$3) MASSAMAN CURRY w/ tamarind, potato, onion, peanut curry paste and coconut milk ($16.95) Good amount of curry (portion) overall. Decent amount of ingredients. Decent flavor. Ended up using rice from the PAD KANA MOO GROB to eat with this since the original bowl was quickly eaten up. CRAB FRIED RICE w/ real crab meat, eggs, tomatoes, onions, garlic, pepper, cucumber, and green onion ($23.95) Not a bad crab fried rice. For spice lovers, it went REALLY well with the "salsa" looking sauce from the tray they bring to the table, as well as any of the pickled chilis in that same tray. Not much "wok hei" flavor. Kind of on the "plainer" side in terms of any kind of fried rice. (CHICKEN) PAD THAI w/ gluten-free rice noodle, bean sprouts, scallions, egg and peanuts ($15.95) Simple pad thai. Indifferent from most pad thai's served in this city. (CHICKEN) DRUNKEN NOODLE w/ stir-fried flat rice noodles, basil, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, egg, garlic, pepper, oyster sauce ($15.95) A decently made drunken noodle. Good amount of egg as well. CRYING TIGER w/ 5 oz grilled ribeye served with thai chili lime sauce ($16.95) This was one of the tables favorite. Well cooked medium rare rib eye with an ADDICTING chili lime sauce on the side. PAD KANA MOD GROB w/ crispy pork belly, stir-fried chinese broccoli, oyster sauce ($22.95) Can't go wrong with crispy pork belly and stir fried chinese broccoli. A fan of both items and they're both in the same plate. This rice was used to eat with the MASSAMAN CURRY. (PANDAN) CUSTARD TOAST a DELICIOUS end to our meal with a creamy pandan sauce over a really good thick slice of toast. The pandan flavor was REALLY nice with the toasted rice? bits. Overall, good place. Food was pretty decent. I think my review is a bit skewed because I had a REALLY GOOD thai place a week before trying this one, so comparatively, this was underwhelming on the same dishes. This restaurant is on the smaller side so it could potentially fill up quick during busier times.

Yelp
Most bland Druken Noodles I've ever had. Come to think of it, the most bland Thai I've ever had.

Yelp
Sen Thai. Fairly new joint in Las Vegas Decor. Beautiful. I knew the food would be authentic right when I walked in. Service was good. Gal was super nice. Helping me order. They do have a big board with recommendations Boat noodle. Excellent Beer was soft. Had all the authentic flavors in a boat noodle that others miss Papaya salad was very good. Was huge. Tasted like how it should home made Oyster eggs was decent. Like a Korean pancake but Thai style. Tom yum noodle soup needed more tom yum flavor. Too much noodles. But still decent Overall very great authentic place to get Thai food in Vegas. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
What a good find on the way to our weekly bowling games! We were searching for food on the way and this popped up on the map, so we thought we might as well check it out as we were both wanting something besides a salad. Our waiter was so nice and answered any questions that we had. The beef jerky was awesome. The sauce was a little sweet with it, which is not my preferred and I ended up using the chili oil instead. Highly recommend if you like spicy My boyfriend had the drunken noodles and I was only able to grab a bite before he finished them off. He absolutely loved them. I had the green curry with chicken and I love the light flavor of the curry. Sometimes it's overly done and this was just perfect. It really went well with the chicken. I did end up trying to spice up my rice some and overdid it a little bit. Oops. There were a few other people in the restaurant and a TV playing YouTube videos. It was interesting to see the TV as it had local attractions as well as views from overseas.

Yelp
I've been here twice now, once for take out and once dining in. I think this is a solid Thai spot. It is new and the decor is fun. It pays homage to Thai ingredients and cooking equipment like rice steamers for sticky rice. They get pretty busy and seem pretty popular for a new spot. I remember the food being good but leaning more on the sweet side. I had their rad nah, crispy catfish in curry stir fry, crab fried rice, and a few more dishes. I think serving sizes are good and their prices are fair.
google avatar

Terry C.

Yelp
I liked this place and will return. The prices were good, food was tasty, Thai style, server was Thai, and they had a nice background of Thai cooking utensils. The moo krob (fried pork with crispy skin) was great! Papaya salad was tasty and not too spicy as we ordered. Boat noodles were cooked well. Moo bing (grilled pork on a stick) was great. Made me miss Thailand.

Yelp
I was in the area and trying to search dinner and this place popped up Depending where you come by from, if you coming from Spring Mountain, is after the Shanghai Plaza on your right, and if you coming from Dessert Inn Rd, is before Shanghai Plaza on your left. The front entrance is pretty...well... how do I put this, is not the most attractive. lol When I first pull into the parking lot, which is very small and all cars facing the street, I didn't see the big restaurant sign on the top of the building, once again is not attractive, I only see the hair salon pictures at the door and windows, I thought this place entrance is at the back. But after got out the car, I look carefully, I see the restaurant entrance Just you know how many restaurants posted a big photos of their food, tried to catch people attention, but not this one, you only see the tiny open and close time schedule at the door. Now, getting that out of the way. Entrance first impression, very nice and clean place, the way they designed on the wall feel a little Thai It was only 2 tables there, and it was around 5pm I saw many photos on here posted by the owner, but he forgot to input the name of the dishes, so your best bet is open Yelp app and check out all these delicious looking food on here and look at the menu too, so you know what you order I order the half duck curry and rice. The curry a bit sweet and spicy enough you don't need to burn and numb your tongue, very good. The duck was fried and curry over it, the sauce is really good over rice. The server Peter is super nice guy, asked me and other customers what do we think about the restaurant and the food, what we like, and what we don't. Came to found out they opened a little over a month ago, delicious food, definitely give them a tried. Now why I'm only giving them 4 stars instead of 5, I saw they have 3 reports for the health inspection, for a restaurant only open a month, that's a lot of report, hopefully they clean things up and continue do good business I will definitely be back, support local business

Yelp
Sen Thai Noodle was the best dining experience I had during our recent trip to Las Vegas for EDC! The service was friendly (and entertaining), the ambiance was colorful and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious! A great experience from start to finish. Do NOT let their unassuming store front fool you! While the outside of the restaurant may not be much to look at, as soon as you open the door, you are met with colorful, Thai street food inspired decor. It is super cute! We were seated right away, and our server was super friendly and funny! He gave us great recommendations and validated our other choices. We ordered the Lao-style papaya salad and the Tiger Cry to start. The papaya salad was fresh, flavorful, crunchy, and spicy! A level 2 was plenty to satisfy our need for heat. While the Tiger Cry was a little overcooked for my liking, the flavor and dipping sauce that was served with it were exceptional! Super tasty. We ordered the combination Pad Thai and the crispy duck noodle soup for our entrees. I had never been to a Thai restaurant where I could get squid and mussels in my Pad Thai. It was super yummy, but my favorite dish of the meal was the crispy duck noodle soup! Talk about beautiful presentation, amazing flavors, and a huge portion size! I could not have been happier with the rich, dark broth and the chewy noodles. Plus, the duck actually stayed crispy despite the heavy soup! It was fabulous. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys duck. Sen Thai Noodle was an amazing dining experience! Good food, good people, good prices. I will definitely return when I revisit Las Vegas in July to see a show at the Sphere.

Yelp
I've been seeing Sen Thai all over Instagram and Facebook and finally had the chance to try it. Ordered their khao soi with duck and WOW, probably the best khao soi I've had in Vegas so far. The broth was delicious and creamy and the duck was cooked to perfection. All the flavors blended very well together. Service was a little slow, but I think that's because there were only 2 servers for a busy Friday night; they were very kind and even apologized for the wait. Be patient with the servers if you decide to visit and you will not be disappointed with their food!

Yelp
Wow!!!! Excellent food and Excellent service!! Peter was my waiter, he explained everything perfect for me. I tried a different type of curry with noodles that is from Chiang Mai area. I was very lucky to spend time in Thailand and it was the first time I've had this dish. it was amazing. Definitely highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Due to the reviews and pictures online, I went to Sen Thai when I was in Vegas for business. Since I was alone, I was unable to try multiple things so I tried the chef recommended crab curry. It was delicious. They did not skimp on the crab meat and it tasted fresh. The sauce had the right amount of spice. I appreciated the variety of things to add to the curry. Different than I was used to, but a great way to enjoy the curry. The service was prompt and everyone was friendly. The decor is more modern than traditional Thai restaurants.

Yelp
It's always nice to find a decent and authentic Thai restaurant in Las Vegas that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. A lot of Thai places we used to frequent in Vegas years ago have either gone down in quality, or have prices that plainly don't reflect the quality of the food. Sen Thai is a newer "low key" spot beside Shanghai Plaza, you would almost miss it if you weren't looking. Sometimes when I visit a new restaurant for the first time, I like to try the more "common/usual" dishes first just to see what the baseline is like, without having to spend a ton. This usually let's me know if quality is reflected across the board, rather than just a "few" special dishes. Sen Thai did not disappoint, and has become one of my top, Thai places in Vegas. Pad Thai: It had the perfect blend of tangy, sweet, and savory. This dish is so common but I found that restaurants rarely get this balance right. Sen Thai got this perfectly! A favorite! Papaya Salad: This is probably the most refreshing, and best tasting papaya salad I've had here. Usually, other places' papaya salad are either too saucy, too salty, or not doesn't have enough acidity. This, again, had the perfect blend. Cashew Nut Chicken: We wanted to try something stir fried to go along with the salad, and their chicken had the perfect amount of smokiness and savory without drowning in sauce. Veggies were still crunchy and not soggy, but just right. Service: We came on a slower day, but service was great nonetheless. Staff was attentive, and made sure we were comfortable. We'll definitely be back to try the other recommended dishes like the Rib Eye Khao Soy, and Duck! Excited to be back! Please keep it up, Sen Thai!

Yelp
This place is incredible! If you're looking for authentic Thai food, look no further--this is it! We're in town for a trade show and were craving Thai food, so we decided to give this spot a try after finding it in our search. The restaurant has an authentic and unique vibe, with cookware displayed throughout that the chef actually uses, giving a glimpse into the tradition behind the dishes. The walls are lined with Thai snacks, seasonings, and ingredients, which adds to the charm. We ordered the Pad Thai--perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and full of flavor. The Yentafu was recommended by our server, and it was absolutely delicious with incredibly fresh seafood. And of course, the papaya salad was refreshing and full of flavor! We're bookmarking this place and will definitely be back the next time we're in town!

Yelp
Saw my first 5.0 star review Thai and in general and couldn't resist and had to make a to-go pick up! Ordered yum woonsen (glass noodle salad), chicken pad thai and pork fried rice. Also requested for side of hot sauces to include "Nam prik." my farang gf picked up the order and the restaurant met my requests and all expectations! From my experience if a non-thai person ask for Nam prik and order the Thai spicy level, it usually never turns out that way but man I got the Nam prik plus and two other types of spices (oil and garlic). Thai peppers were used in the Yum woonsen and wow was it so tasty with the right amount of authentic Thai spice level! No wonder this place is rated at 5.0. What a gem! I would def come back here again but will eat there next time! Thanks for a delicious experience at our AirBnB. This Thai chic can't be any happier!

Yelp
Sen Thai Noodle is located near Chinatown on Arville and Desert Inn. You'll find them behind Shanghai Plaza, on Pioneer Avenue, next to a 24 hour laundromat. There's limited parking and it's a tight space. Inside is a cozy atmosphere with wood table seating, a beautiful menu board, and tv screen to view various cooking channel. Music is peaceful and relaxing. Menu offers a great selection of appetizers, salad, hot pot soup, chef recommends, noodle soup, curry, rice dish, stir-fried noodle, fried rice, dessert and drinks. Pineapple Fried Rice ($16.95) with real crab meat (+$9) is magnificent! Fried rice is super flavorful and nicely sautéed in curry powder, garlic, pepper, has fluffy scrambled egg, pineapple chunks, tomato, onion, cashew nuts, cilantro, and plenty of crab meat, Yum! The dish is garnished with finely shredded cabbage, carrots, fresh cucumber, and parsley, served with a lovely crispy wonton. I was brought several condiment sauces to add spice to the dish. It was also nice the owner came by to check in, asked how everything was, and even showed me the special fish sauce they use, which is not overpowering and is a great flavor enhancer. For dessert, I had questions about Thai Ice Cream Bun but could not find a picture, so I opted for Iced Thai Coffee ($5) and Coconut Ice Cream ($5). Iced Thai Coffee is yummy and refreshing! I waited awhile for the ice cream, and when it arrived it was actually a different dessert which is a big portion of two scoops of coconut ice cream atop sweet sticky rice, coconut cream, whole peanuts, and a soft bread which resembles a hotdog bun. In Thailand, they use soft buns for ice cream sandwich and add sticky rice. Thai Ice Cream Bun ($10) is shareable for 2 to 3 people, I could not finish and had to take the remainder home. Other desserts they have are mango sticky rice, custard toast, tiramisu, and chocolate cake. Overall service from Peter and owner Sam is welcoming, attentive, efficient, and friendly!

Yelp
Best Thai food you'll ever have It's very hole in the wall, the parking is kind of weird and next to a laundromat and the restaurant glass is blacked out so you're not sure if you're at the restaurant, but you have arrived. When you walk inside it's really cute and the decor isn't overdone or outdated. There's a handful of tables and we were seated immediately. The waiter came out and he was efficient and fast. We ordered the wings an appetizer, the Pad Thai and Khao Soy. The flavors and portions were absolutely amazing. They substituted the noodles to what we wanted instead of traditional and I appreciated the waiter being honest and saying they can do it but the taste and texture will not be traditional. As someone who has worked in the culinary industry for years I appreciate the honesty because it's a way of telling a customer this isn't how the chef wants you to eat this and it will not be the same experience, but you are the customer and we will make it how you want. For the 3 dishes it came out to $56. The portions were big enough to take home. Everything was outstanding. It was on a weekday and there wasn't many people and the food took a little long to arrive but it's prepared perfectly and served together. Patience is required and rewarded at this restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Thai food or food in general. Top 5 restaurants in Las Vegas without a doubt.

Yelp
Crab fried rice was good however the tomatoes, which are obviously non-organic tasted like the chemicals they are grown with

Yelp
After randomly seeing Sen Thai Noodles 5 star ratings, we decided it's a must try. We were so happy we did. Our server, Peter is super nice, genuine, helpful, efficient and professional. The food was phenomenal. We had Fish cakes, Tom yum Kha soup, Green curry, and Spicy Thai basil. All 5 stars. I would definitely revisit again real soon to try the satay, basil fried rice, Lao papaya salad and so much more to try. The tray of spices sealed the deal for me, the miniature bottle of fish sauce is too cute. Loved the decor as well.

Yelp
Sen Thai means noodles, so of course I had to come try! The space is open with plenty of seating, and the service was super friendly and helpful explaining the menu if needed. Upon arriving they provide the spice tray that has a good amount of options which is a must with Thai foods. I ordered the Thai boat noodles and the rad na. I like my boat noodle broth on the murky side, and they delivered - just wish there were more veggies, but the flavor was solid. The rad na is a wide noodle dish with a nice char, topped with a savory gravy. They also offer crispy noodle options which I'll be back to try!

Yelp
No one greeted us when we walked in. It took forever just to place our order, and the food didn't start coming out until 45 minutes later. We had only taken a couple of bites when the server came to pour water and ended up spilling it all over my son's pants and into his shoes. Absolutely speechless.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to try out a new Thai restaurant and so happened to find this location on Yelp since we were in the area. Service was welcoming and friendly. Got seated really fast. The vibe of the restaurant felt like I was in Thailand. Aesthetically pleasing. We ordered the Pad Thai, Fish cake, Spicy catfish and for dessert Pandan Toast. Everything was delicious and had the authentic Thai flavors we were looking for. We mainly came here for the Spicy Catfish and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and we didn't have to ask for much cause they were on top of everything. We definitely will come back again with family and friends.

Yelp
I had the Pad Thai and it was excellent, great flavor and perfectly cooked. My buddies ordered a couple of the soups, and all of the food was absolutely delicious. Our server, Peter, was outstanding. He checked in often, was friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, great food and great service. Highly recommend Sen Thai Noodle!

Yelp
Sen Thai serves authentic Thai flavors! Our favorite dishes were the Lao-style papaya salad -- super flavorful and spicy -- and the Crying Tiger, which had tender, perfectly grilled beef. These two dishes were so good that we went back to the restaurant two days in a row! The crab curry noodle was a bit too sweet for our taste, more like a yellow curry than the Southern-style crab curry we expected.

Yelp
Amazingggg food, service, and ambiance. I've been to a lot of places in Thailand, and the dishes here are incredibly authentic. Truly impressive. They were also super accommodating and swapped out the rice for a salad without any hesitation since I can't eat rice. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I'm in town!!

Yelp
wow amazing flavors, everything was a 5/5 my favorite dishes were the pad see ew and tom kha soup. the tom kha has the rich tangy coconut soup flavor which I love and the pad see ew was decorated with fair amount of sauce making it so flavorful. the sukiyaki is a new dish we tried and it's tomato-ey and so flavorful

Yelp
Great food and great service. We had the tom yum and tom kha. They were both excellent. Would go back again.

Yelp
Had lunch here yesterday. The food is pretty good, although their Yentafo wasn't what I expected. Yentafo should be tangy and you should taste the flavors of the red bean curd, but theirs had more of a Thai curry flavor. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't say it's representative of how Yentafo should be (as it is at most places I've had it in Thailand even). My mother had their papaya salad which was pretty good. The best thing was their pandan custard toast for dessert. The interior is clean and open. The Thai pop music they play is also a nice touch. The service was also pretty good. We did get charged $11 for the fried tofu appetizer which was listed on the menu for $9.95. I didn't catch that until after we paid. Overall, not a bad Thai place. I'll definitely come back to try some other dishes.

Yelp
I have been living in Vegas for 17 years, and this is definitely by far the most authentic Thai restaurant we have. I am so glad that my friend found this place and told me about it. This restaurant is cute, the food is delicious and service is great! The Glass Noodle salad is always my must order dish when visiting a Thai restaurant and they executed it so well. The boat noodle just tastes like the one I had in Thailand. Kao Soi with crispy duck is delicious and flavorful. We will definitely be back to try more dishes. Wanted everything on the menu!!!
