Peruvian ceviche, pisco cocktails, and Nikkei dishes served

"I pick Leche de Tigre for a stylish night out — a lush patio and a cool, cheffy menu where six different ceviches are prepared in front of you to share, best paired with a tart pisco sour." - David Shortell
"Peruvian food is hard to come by in San Antonio, but Leche de Tigre aces both the food and a cool aura for dates and friend nights out. Choclo, a corn with comically large kernels typical for the cuisine, is woven throughout the menu. It’s also served cooked in ceviches—the light, limey classico and the nikkei with tangy ponzu are our favorites—and shows up again fried alongside crackly pork belly. The bachiche is one of the most beautiful dishes on the menu: sashimi scallops in a lake of salty, parmesan-infused leche de tigre contrasts sharp and silky flavors. For more comfort-seeking palates, the wagyu short rib in rich gravy with potatoes and, you guessed it, chaclo, is decadent." - Kris Seavers

"A San Antonio restaurant represented by chef Emil Oliva, which was named a finalist for Best Chef: Texas at the 2025 James Beard Awards." - Nicole Adlman

"Vibrant energy meets bold Peruvian flavors in a colorful, welcoming space that hums on date nights and for group gatherings; fresh ceviches and creative takes on Peruvian classics anchor the menu, while a striking wall mural of prowling tigers ties the room together and nods to the name, reinforcing the bold, untamed essence of the flavors." - Lee Escobedo

"Led by chef Emil Oliva, this San Antonio restaurant earned Oliva a Best Chef: Texas finalist nomination for the 2025 James Beard Awards, contributing to San Antonio’s presence among the state’s honored culinary professionals." - Nicole Adlman
