Where to Eat in Copenhagen | Bon Appétit

"If you want a quick excellent taco, Rosio Sanchez’s taqueria in Torvehallerne delivers three fresh-tortilla tacos daily (get all three), but for her pastry and dessert wizardry head to the sit-down Hija de Sanchez Cantina at Nordhavn harbor — the ancho chile rehydrated in piloncillo syrup and filled with a semi-frozen chocolate mousse is not to be missed." - ByMacKenzie Chung Fegan

Best tacos I’ve ever had. I tried the combo — beef, pork, and vege — all three were insanely good. Full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Must-try in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn district!

The real deal. Genuine food by Hispanic people. The food is fresh and tasty. We had the taco platter, chicken gringa, chips with salsa and guac, as well as drinks and finally churros. I'd rate the chicken gringa the highest. PS: order at the bar, don't wait for them to come take your order.

We went for early dinner to celebrate my birthday with my husband and our two young daughters. We had been there several times before when it was a full service restaurant (which was way better and more enjoyable). The service was very bad today, the lady taking the orders was so rude and in a rush all the time. I asked if we could have the fish taco without any dressing as it was for our 4 year old, and she responded extremely rude that no they couldn’t change anything as that was their policy. They couldn’t accommodate any of our basic requests. We felt treated bad and in a rush. She had the same rude manner with all other customer. The food was also not good, the only good one was the “kids gringas”, the beef taco was way too greasy, and the fish tacos overflow with dressings, chips way overpriced. I don’t think we will go again to this place. It is a shame as we really liked to have a Mexican place in Nordhavn.

Very impressive food. Fresh and has great flavours. The vegetarian option tacos were sublime. Amazing taste and flavours. Soft taco. Went for lunch and food was just right without being overly heavy.

$360Kr ~$52Usd for terrible service and mediocre “authentic mexican food”. My group of 3 came into a completely empty restaurant and had to get the 2 employees attention. We asked if we could have the chicken tacos on corn instead of flour tortillas and they said no. When our food came out we asked for more lime for the fish tacos. The server brought them and made a snide comment about the tacos already having lime. We then realized we didn’t get the rice and beans we ordered and had to go back in to ask for them. They said oh yes we forgot that. I’d understand if the restaurant was busy but it was totally dead and they weren’t even doing food prep. Honestly very disappointed as a Mexican who has been a fan of Rosio’s growth online. Very disappointing. The rice and beans were over salted, the tortillas were not fresh or had a good corn flavor. The fish tacos had too much mayonnaise and chipotle to compensate for the plain “beer batter”. The barbacoa was the only thing with flavor but the cilantro and onion were minimally put on as toppings. Not sure if my expectations are to high coming from San Diego, CA and being of Mexican decent. The CPH community is definitely getting ripped off.

Service was minimal. No water offered on table. Sauces came in plastic containers. Great for takeaway but we were eating in No hot sauces to choose from. Cocktails served in water glasses- everyone knows they taste better in a fancy glass.

I rated this place over half a year ago and found myself back in the area. Unfortunately it has gone down from 5 to 4 stars for me. The taste is still there but the fish tacos come with pickled cabbage, no lime and no choice of salsa anymore. The fish, tortilla etc still taste great but why would you take away the lime and pickle the cabbage? The esquites was mostly cheese, which I don’t get as it’s more expensive to put together but you buy it for the corn and not the cheese. Michelada is still great.

The best Mexican food in Denmark. Yes, this place is expensive and if you don't want to splurge, then stay away. But if you don't mind, it's completely worth it. Most, if not all, ingredients are sourced from Mexico and the cuisine is highly creative. They never compromise in flavor and service.
