Seattle Restaurants With the Best Views | Eater Seattle

"While the old-timers know that Place Pigalle was once a darling of the fine-dining scene in decades past — and a jazz club before that, and a brothel tavern before that—this charming little bistro in the sky has gotten kind of slept-on lately. Alongside the sweeping view of Elliott Bay, it offers guests a BOGO: They also get a cool territorial view of Pike Place Market on the way in, looking down on the vendors from a few floors above the action. Then, inside, the menu is keeping Seattle’s PNW-meets-French-cuisine movement of the ‘80s alive with pristine local oysters and mussels, escargots de Bourgogne, shellfishy Northwest bouillabaisse, Dungeness cakes, truffled salades, and onion soup gratinee, all overwhelmingly sourced from the Market below. The decor works hard to keep this era alive too, with abstract art, pink lights, and a checkerboard floor. Plus there’s a twee elevated bar, and they don’t hold back on the pours either. It’s Seattle’s prettiest, most delicious time machine." - Meg van Huygen

11 Phenomenal French Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"In Paris, Place Pigalle has a raunchy reputation, thanks in part to the infamous Moulin Rouge. Seattle’s Place Pigalle is less risqué, yet offers its own peculiar vibe, and includes the inventive gastronomy that the Pigalle area is known for in today’s Paris. Tucked neatly behind Pike Place Market’s famous fish throwers with a view of Puget Sound, this place greets diners with vintage decor and old world charm and seals the deal with dishes like steamed mussels with bacon." - Leonardo David Raymundo
