Hands down the best Ethiopian spot in DC! The service can be a bit sluggish, but the food itself and the prices can't be beat. I recommend going for the Mehaberwani combo or the Vegetable combo, and each is big enough to share.
Sadly, the brick and mortar location will be closing soon because the property is being developed, but according to our server they're looking to work out of Union Kitchen or perhaps some other temporary location to do delivery-only service.

Great place. We had around 10 people and sat outside, the staff were attentive and accommodating. They let us split the check 10 ways, I wouldn't have let us split the check 10 ways, but they also did it after splitting off the alcohol so non-drinkers didn't have to pay. I'm told the food is great Ethiopian, all I can say as someone who doesn't like Ethiopian food is that the food was pretty good and I had my fill. Booze prices aren't too bad, food prices are good.

Best cheap and authentic ethiopian in the city. I almost didn't want to write a review to keep it a secret! We got a mixed platter with vegetables and meat, and everything was delicious. Also, Ethiopian beers are cheap and plentiful. Definitely get here early for dinner, the place is small and fills up quickly!

A friend had never had Ethiopian and wanted something low key, so we went here on another friend's recommendations. She got a vegetarian sampler and my husband and I shared the meat sampler and tibs entree. We all enjoyed our meals and couldn't finish them the portions were so generous!
The prices are fair, as well, and the service is quick.
Nothing here blew my mind, but everything was tasty and I would indeed recommend it for something low key.

I can have Ethiopian food all day everyday. Had really good reviews so we decided to try them out. Not the fanciest restaurant, but our server was very helpful with good suggestions. I was a big fan of the collard greens and the cabbage.
I will most likely be returning to satisfy my Ethiopian cravings.

One of the best Ethiopian spots in DC. Their honey wine is house made and absolutely delicious. If you've never eaten Ethiopian before, I recommend ordering a combo plate for the best experience. Enjoy!

You can't beat Zenebech Injera for cheap eats in DC! This City is saturated with Ethiopian restaurants, but none come close to the quality and value of Zenebach Injera. Two people can share the outstanding vegetable platter, order one beer each, and split the tasty lamb tibs for about $12 a person. Really a great deal for the quality! The atmosphere is extremely casual (ie, very romantic florescent lighting), and the service can be slow (but is very friendly!). But don't go because you're looking for atmosphere, go because you want tasty, authentic Ethiopian fare cheap...and then roll yourself home!
