We had a great experience at Solbam. The atmosphere was warm and understated, and the service stood out immediately. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the chef took the time to welcome us and greeted us on our way out as well - it felt personal, not rehearsed.
The tasting menu showcased Korean ingredients in a refined, modern way. Flavours were new, clean and well-balanced, and the pacing of the meal was comfortable. You can see and taste the amount of thought that goes into each course.
The only small detail that felt out of place was the use of a steak knife for one of the fish dishes 🤔 - it didn’t match the delicacy of the course. Not a deal-breaker, just a mismatch in the overall fine dining presentation.
Otherwise, an excellent meal. Great service, foreigner friendly and a chef who truly cares about the craft, and a memorable dining experience. Would recommend for anyone looking for contemporary Korean fine dining done with sincerity and respect for ingredients.
