An amazing contemporary modern tasting course menu with local ingredients sourced from the chef's hometown as well as integration of different seasonal Korean ingredients. Really an amazing and interactive experience. Also love the open kitchen concept where you can witness the professionalism of the chefs as well. Would recommend for sure

We had a great experience at Solbam. The atmosphere was warm and understated, and the service stood out immediately. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the chef took the time to welcome us and greeted us on our way out as well - it felt personal, not rehearsed. The tasting menu showcased Korean ingredients in a refined, modern way. Flavours were new, clean and well-balanced, and the pacing of the meal was comfortable. You can see and taste the amount of thought that goes into each course. The only small detail that felt out of place was the use of a steak knife for one of the fish dishes 🤔 - it didn’t match the delicacy of the course. Not a deal-breaker, just a mismatch in the overall fine dining presentation. Otherwise, an excellent meal. Great service, foreigner friendly and a chef who truly cares about the craft, and a memorable dining experience. Would recommend for anyone looking for contemporary Korean fine dining done with sincerity and respect for ingredients.

Every dish was crafted with great care. The pairing of seafood and meats was truly impressive, and the final dessert was surprisingly delicious. There wasn’t a single dish that wasn’t excellent! the only regret was not meeting the chef :)

A truly memorable experience at Solbam. The service was attentive but relaxed and personable which we really appreciated. The attention to detail extended from the canapés hosted in the comfortable Drawing Room to the thoughtful parting gift. The sommeliers were very knowledgeable, the three course pairing of European wines went very well with the courses and we tried some very unique and interesting wines. Particularly the white wine was unexpected in a great way! The courses were very well balanced and paced, we never felt rushed or hungry. We really appreciated the use of classic Korean flavours and ingredients brought to life with more classical European cooking style. Thank you Solbam team for a wonderful birthday celebration! Note for visitors to Seoul: the signage is rather subtle, use the entrance on the main road into what looks like an office lobby and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Don’t circle the building for 10 minutes like we did 🫣

Our visit to Seoul included a memorable dining experience at Solbam, and it did not disappoint. We were a group of five from two countries – Thailand and Germany. Two of us requested no raw dishes, while the others had no dietary restrictions. The restaurant accommodated our preferences perfectly, tailoring the dishes with great care. The presentation of the food was exquisite, showcasing a variety of styles with a focus on natural ingredients and subtle, refined flavors. The pairing of wines and other alcoholic beverages was equally diverse and thoughtfully curated. We also celebrated a birthday during our visit, making the evening even more special. One thing that left a lasting impression on me was the exceptional service I received at this restaurant. It was the only place that asked if any guests were left-handed before setting the table. As someone who is left-handed, I usually have to switch the utensils myself, but today they arranged them specially for me. I felt truly touched and impressed by their thoughtfulness. It was truly a wonderful and unforgettable experience for all of us at Solbam.

I visited on 1/15/25. The drawing room is an interior that makes me feel like I am traveling abroad. The chicken liver and caviar at the beginning is so delicious. After moving to the second space, we were seated and proceeded with the full meal. The wonderful and varied food was very satisfying. Mackerel, hairtail fish, octopus, chicken, and Korean beef(Han woo) are used as ingredients. The high floor and wide spacing of the seats made it a very comfortable meal. I would definitely go again if I had the chance. I was impressed with everything until the moment I left the restaurant. Thank you for the team, Solbam.

They altered the taste and the menu to accommodate my partner as she was under the weather on the night. Very sweat of the team and very impressed with the service and the food. Truly the best restaurant I have been as the food was very touching. Left with many “secret” surprises and truly warms our heart. Will revisit for sure and highly recommend this place to everyone.

Out of all the Michelin restaurants I’ve been to in Korea, this one has the most thoughtful touches. I really enjoyed the dinner with the wine pairing. Everything was good and all the creative presentations were a nice touch. The chef was also very nice too and walked around to talk to everyone more than once. I also appreciate that they take into consideration foreigners and let them book ahead of time and solo travelers as well. I always think it’s speaks highly of fine dining restaurants when they accept solo diners because it means they care about the food and giving a good experience rather than just making money.
