10 Best Pizza Restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Before you write off sourdough-anything as a fleeting trend, one bite of this crispy-yet-soft, wide-brimmed pizza will convince you — this is a special pie. Choose from traditional cheese or pepperoni, or Tommy Boy with caramelized red onions and hot honey, Pear Pressure with roasted sweet potato and goat cheese, or Big Dill Energy with bacon and ricotta. Customize it even further with toppings like Brussels sprouts and roasted garlic, as well as assorted dipping sauces. Order from the counter and enjoy indoors in the small dining area, or outdoors on a gorgeous day in ample Camp North End seating." - Shindy Chen

Alex, one of the owners, made us feel seen and cared for, as he personally delivered our pizza to us. The food quality is exceptional! The pizza looks as good as it tastes. If we lived closer, we would be regulars! We would love a spot like this to open in the north Charlotte area!

I know a little birdie will tell you some the best pizza in town is down the street but Gravity stands it's ground. Exceptional flavor across their pizza and cheese sticks. The tommy boy hits all the right spots. It's hard to beat a high quality pizza with hot honey. It played great with the ricotta and greens. Cupped pepperoni to top it off. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend eating here. The dine in options are very limited so prepare your trip if you want to sit inside. Their carryout shelf stayed full. They were putting pizzas out constantly and I can see why.

What a great find while visiting Camp North End for the first time. The food was all fresh and tasty as can be. The dough wasn’t overly doughy; it was crunchy and soft without taking away from the pizza itself. Such a plus! I would definitely come back.

Gravity Sourdough Pizza has ruined any other pizza for me (in the best way!) The Tommy Boy is the absolute best! All of the toppings complement each other so well. The parmesan fries are also delicious and great if you’re visiting Camp North End looking for a lighter snack. I have dined in and gotten takeout, and I can say that both experiences were wonderful. Employees are always kind and helpful. I will continue to dine here for as long as possible.

I tried gravity sourdough pizza for the first time today as I found this place on TikTok and it was most definitely worth the hype! I got the Tommy boy pizza (replaced pepperoni with chicken) and it was so good! I really loved the freshness of the pizza which is so rare nowadays and the ingredients were so good! I highly recommend this spot. Added bonus is the music and the vibe of the spot is so good too.

Some of the best (and most unique) fries I've had! The pretty fly pizza was good, a little lacking in the white base sauce. At least there was more sauce on top but was still a bit dry. Other than that I enjoyed the flavors and chewy crust.

The pizza looks pretty but it was just alright taste-wise. We ordered in person and they told us it would take 30 minutes, but it ended up being almost an hour wait. It was a Wednesday night - no big event going on. We came here because we like that it’s sourdough crust. My biggest complaint is that the pizza I ordered says it has caramelized onions on the menu, but these onions were basically raw. The pizza is sort of a Neapolitan style so it’s floppy and the bottom has some char. It’s a pass for me overall.

Wow. What an amazing pizza! I preordered on Friday for a pizza flight. It came with three dipping sauces. I got regular ranch, hot honey ranch and red sauce. We got a mushroom pizza with white sauce and truffle oil, da bomb, and Tommy boy. They were all so good. Da bomb had a bit of a kick with the Calabrian chili! The Tommy boy was nice with a little sweet hot honey and creamy with the ricotta. The flavors in each of the pizzas were well balanced. The crust was light and delicate. The space was pretty small- 6 2 person tables. They only serve non alcoholic beverages right now. The people working there were really nice and observant and helpful. They really wanted to make sure the order was right and that we enjoyed the meal. It was so easy to pre order! We will be back!
