Excellent tavern-style pizza in a creatively decorated small space. White and red pies are both recommended! Staff plays their extensive collection of vinyl records, with Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath being two favorites. Friendly owners and great overall experience!

A honest review of Good Times: Good times is a classic pizza spot on a neighborhood corner. Easy to get to, ample parking and a generally nice area of south Minneapolis. I will start with the positive. The pizza was absolutely fantastic, they advertise a classic square-cut tavern style pizza and without question deliver on that promise. I also enjoy restaurants that care less about a fancy aesthetic and allow for ample wall art made by customers (hence the decorated paper plates). Unfortunately for me, that is where the positive portion of the review ends. While the pizza was good and aesthetic of the joint was nice, the service, price and overall vibes of the restaurant fall off dramatically. For starters, the menu on the wall is extremely hard to read with tiny lettering and hard to follow menu items. The price also follows suit. For two 10" pizzas (one being a menu mainstay) and the other had two toppings, $40 was the total bill. No drinks or other items included. That to me seemed a bit steep. The service was relatively poor as the only vocal interaction that was exchanged with us was while ordering. The entire visit the two staff members working were not engaging with any customers and it wasn't just us, no one around us seemed to have any interaction with the staff either. While the person making the pizzas was hard at work and the hostess/waitress was also working hard, I didn't get a sense that either of them were happy to be there or happy to be serving their customers. The final portion of this review will focus on the wait and hours. For a restaurant that is only open for four hours five days a week, you would like to see a sense of urgency or willingness to please. for our visit which was on a Friday night approximately a week ago, the place was not overly busy but also wasn't empty. Nonetheless, the wait should not have been 42 minutes for two simple pizzas. For the price and the wait, the cost did not justify the end result (even though it was a good tavern style pizza). I think a comparable pizza spot close by would be Mothership Pizza. The price of pizza's there, the staff, the environment, the business is everything and more and this place should take some serious notes. All my best.

This was our first time at Good Times, but will definitely not be the last! The pizza lived up to its name and more. The sauce was very flavorful, the thin crust was done perfectly and had great consistency throughout and the cheese and the toppings were all top quality. Between the delicious pizza and the fun, but still ideally small neighborhood pizzeria feel, I can see why Good Times gets such high praise. If you like great pizza and haven’t been here yet, get it on your to do list.

Good Times is our go-to place for Friday evenings. My favorite pizza in the twin cities with great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I wish I could eat here everyday. The two albums they played on vinyl were Red Headed Stranger and Dark Side of the Moon. If that’s your jam, you’ve found your place. We got two pizzas, one cheese and one with toppings, but the one with toppings was better. Salad was delicious. I’ll be back.

Best Chicago Tavern Style Pizza in the city. Great affordable drink list. Awesome vibe. This place is a neighborhood gem, and we are lucky to have them

The food was quite good; however, the service experience left much to be desired. When my friend and I ordered two glasses of wine for $29, we later noticed that a full bottle was also priced at $29. My friend politely asked the cashier about this, but the cashier laughed it off and walked away mid-conversation, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Additionally, I noticed both the cashier and the person preparing the pizzas handling various items including cooked and uncooked ingredients without washing their hands in between. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. Overall, while the food itself was enjoyable, the lack of professionalism and proper sanitation made the experience disappointing.

Good Times really earns the name they chose. I've had the pizza before and was impressed, but finally made it into the store itself to eat. I love the eclectic decor including a large poster of Prince. While waiting we enjoyed some fun and energetic funk music, coloring, and a Pac-Man machine. The pizzas are worth every penny- I love square cut pizza and how beautifully crispy it is. All the pizzas on their short menu are amazing, but I really think the Pepperoni Pickle Pizza is the best thing on the menu

Very interesting pizza place. The seating is very limited and uncomfortably. But the food is excellent. Loved the pizza.

The real chicago pizza - tavern style. Super crisp thin crust, cooked crispy with even a few burnt spots, it is really good Not bad choices of wine and beer, this place is kind of a locals hangout and fun if very casual pizza place. You want a casual date place? This works to and don't be afraid of bringing kids in either with house made soft-serve sue to please. It's a nice yet super casual place with good pizza.

Good Times makes some good pies. The #4 White Pie had everything I wanted, except I don't like cream base sauce. I was happy to find out Good Times let me substitute for a tomato sauce and the pizza was fantastic! I absolutely loved the house ricotta. Next time I would try without the mushrooms though. We also tried the #5 Nueskies Bacon pie. It came with the "Mike's hot honey". Which definitely adds a kick! Whichever pizza I try next time, I think the house ricotta and hot honey would pair nicely.

I love Good Times. Such a nice neighborhood vibe. Pizza's are fresh & delicious with plenty of classics to choose from and a few original creations. The #5: NUESKIE'S BACON is always our favorite. Weird compliment but I love that the staff aren't *overly* friendly. They're cool, they take your order, they walk 3 feet away to the oven and make it. No frills, no upselling, no BS, no pretense. Not many places like that anymore. Best spot in Kingfield.

The most flavorful pizza in Minneapolis...it's like a party in your mouth! Great soundtrack on the vintage stereo always and interesting wine selections.

Best pizza I've had in MN. Super thin crust pizzas, but they still have a nice chew to them. Toppings are top quality. A must visit if you love thin crust pizzas.

Such good pizza! I've had a few and recommend them all. Just need to fix your phone system! I called twice and got a weird recording and then disconnected. Third and final (in my mind) try and I got a real person to place my order. They couldn't hear me well, but happy ending with a good pizza, I live within a block.

Yum! My new favorite pizza place. I ordered the white pizza and another with ricotta, hot honey, and pickled peppers. Both were great but the pickled pepper one is my favorite. It's spicy with a crispy thin crust covered in honey. Their pizzas are pricey, about $14 for a personal size, but for me it's worth it. Definitely worth trying. Only open Wed-Sun.

Don't waste your time or money here. The pizzas are stupid expensive for tasting no better than a frozen heggies pizza. They are stringy with their toppings, the cheese is meh at best, and the canned beer I ordered was skunked. We wanted to love this place but we're extremely let down.

Pretty disappointed. Place was super small With hardly any seating. $8 glass of wine was the tiniest pour of wine ever- just a tiny sip! Pizza was lack luster and crust was burnt. Not worth $10 plus for a tiny pizza! Too many other great pizza pLaces in Mpls. Will most likely not be returning .

Best pizza I've ever had. No joke. I had mine with the house-made ricotta, pickled chilies and Hot Honey. It's tavern style pizza, made perfectly. The place is awesome to hang out at as well. Retro vibe with great personal touches and a sense of humor and amusement. Good Times!

If you like thin crust RUN to this place! It's perfectly crispy and the pizzas are cooked to perfection (not rushed). The ratio of sauce, cheese and toppings is perfect! The vibe is small and cozy like an old time pizza place. Not a lot of seating so I wouldn't expect a table right away on a busy weekend night. This isn't too much of an issue because you get free popcorn as you wait:)

No time for pictures as this was all inhaled too quickly for that business. I appreciate the small pizza size, then we could sample them all! I also loved the packaging. Simple. Minimal, and all materials are Earth friendly like paper sleeves for the pizzas, and cardboard for the salads. Quarantine isn't so bad with amazing local options like Good Times Pizza. Thanks for the delectable pizza, beer, arugula salad, AND ice cream sandwiches!

Really effing good. The crust is a revelation. And why had I never had pickles on pizza before!? I feel like past me was cheated out of years of pickle & pepperoni pizza.

My first visit. Shop only open 2 weeks since Valentine's Day. This is now one of my favorite pizza shops. Delicious crust that is very thin, crunchy and chewy at the same time. My pie was a cheese pizza with red sauce and additions of pepperoni, fennel sausage, and mushrooms. Eager to try some of the very interesting sounding combos.

What?!? How did I just find out about this place. Great thin crust, square cut pizza. Did a sausage , pepperoni and pickled chilies with honey. 5 stars. Get the honey.

If you like good crispy cheesy thin crust pizza, this is your spot! Ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza and the white pizza, both were delicious and perfectly filling, we will definitely be back for more ;)

Best pizza in Minneapolis. The cracker thin crust is amazing. Tried the pepperoni and dill pickle and the bacon with pickled jalapeños and honey. The addition of Grana Padano cheese was a nice touch. Both combinations were perfect. Don't miss this place.

I have never written a Yelp review in my life, but this deserved it. Small pizza size let us sample a few at once and they were all absolutely amazing. The burnt crust seriously put it over the edge, officially one of my favorite pizza spots in the city.

I've stopped in a few times for this delicious tavern style thin crust pizza! Reasonably priced with some eclectic combinations. Played little Pac-Man while I was waiting. Friendly staff. I was happy to support small business. I'll definitely be back!

I love pizza- all kinds! I'm usually more partial to thin crust pies but appreciate all styles. We decided to give Good times a shot as we like to support local businesses and have been watching their build out for months. I'm sorry to say we were pretty disappointed. We ordered a white pizza with added fennel sausage. The total cost was just under $20 with tax- for a 10" pizza. The crust was almost non existent- literally translucent when held up to the light. The taste of the pizza was ok- my wife thought I'd was on the sweet side (the carmelized onions) and it was kind of greasy- imo due to the lack of crust to soak it up. In short- ok pizza m, they need to work on their crust but far too expensive. Also- figure out a better take out pay option (online!) and please don't ask if customer wants to add a tip for take out when ordering over the phone.

Soooo good! The crust is amazing! The pepperoni and pickle is to die for -- Trust me!
