Por Favor Tacos & Tragos in Colorado Springs

My wife & I decided to finally check this place out after celebrating a great September! We checked in and had fantastic service from Mayra who walked us through the menu (as it was our first time there). Very personable and recommended some absolute great dishes. We were craving Chips, Salsa & Queso and these for the bill. Warm tortilla chips served with a lightly thin queso. This is a quality queso that isn’t too thin or thick, but also isn’t heavy after eating. Great add in of the flavorful ground beef. The salsa had great flavor and wasn’t dominated by onions or tomatoes. Great start! Then the dishes. The birria in both the quesabirria and birria-burro shined. The flavor of Birria had depths to it and adding the consume, onions, and salsa really brings a fresh note to the birria-burro. I was craving both a burrito and birria- this satisfied both exquisitely. Overall I’m stuffed and we’re very happy we came here. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

We were staying in the Colorado Springs area, traveling, and wanted a good margarita and Mexican food for dinner. Searching the area, the general consensus seemed to be that there was not much good Mexican in the Colorado Springs area, but then I came across this gem! We decided to take the 15 minute drive from our hotel to this restaurant in a rather unassuming nice strip mall. I'm so glad we did. This turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. I have had so much bad Mexican food and margaritas elsewhere recently, that this location was a pleasure to find. It far exceeded my expectations. The hostess was warm and welcoming despite the restaurant being completely full and lively. From there we were warmly welcomed by our server, Mayra, who throughout the meal gave us her full attention, was warm, personable and offered guidance when picking our food. She even guided us to the Margarita tasting that my wife and I both shared (and later ordered a full margarita). The food was fresh tasting, not too heavy, not too salty, and offered a variety of option for everyone at the table. My children even found new foods that they liked, such as the Elote. The margaritas were not overly sweet, and clearly were made with fresh juices and not pre-made mixes like many other places I have been recently. The atmosphere of the restaurant was festive, adorned with tasteful Halloween decorations, and while it was full, it didn't feel like we were on top of the other tables. If you live in the Colorado Springs area, count yourselves lucky to have this as your local spot. If you are traveling, like we were, make sure to stop by here if you are looking for a good Mexican food with a fun atmosphere and great staff!

This was our first time visiting and it completely exceeded our expectations. Our waiter, Everardo, did an amazing job recommending dishes once he learned it was our first visit. We started with the queso and elotes, both incredible. The elotes especially had such rich flavor I didn’t know corn could taste that good. For the main course, we had the Birria Taco Plate and an extra Cochinita Pibil Taco. Everardo even showed us the proper way to eat the tacos, which made it even more enjoyable. The Cochinita Pibil was an amazing flavor combination. For dessert, the churros with caramel and pumpkin sauce and the chocolate flan were both excellent. Everything was flavorful, beautifully served, and we left completely full and happy. Highly recommend this place and special thanks to Everardo for the outstanding service.

My new taco place! The vibe is awesome (love the decor), the service was on point and the most important part…the food was so yummy! We had the chips and salsa and street corn to start- definitely recommend. Loved the salsa so much- perfect balance of heat and flavor. Shrimp taco was huge and delicious! And I almost forgot about the strawberry margarita…get one and thank me later. Thanks for the excellent service Rosa!

Queso is rich and delicious, I also ordered the Jamaica margarita which was to die for, the birria taco with consume, and carnitas taco. I have been on the hunt for quality Mexican food on the Springs and finally found it!!! Highly recommend!!

Wow! High end food in a laid back setting! Do yourself afavor and order the elotes- the best I've ever had. Between all of us, our table of four ordered almost every taco on the menu. Every single one was delicious! I also tried the beef burrito which was excellent. The Margarita was legit too!

Food was delish! I only wish they had complimentary chips and salsa but who needs the extra carbs?! (Me… I do) They do have them to order. Queso was good. Birria tacos were amazing! Mule was perfect.

Boy, when I tell you that this was the best Mexican food I've had, please believe it. The server treated us like KINGS with the most friendly & outgoing personality. He said he would change our life forever, and honestly, I should have believed him. The Birria taco here was THE BEST taco I've ever had. And the Elotes appetizer was also the best corn I've ever had. The strawberry aqua fresca was great. The dessert was delicious. The cheesecake (seasonal dessert) & choco flan were amazing 🤤 100% Coming back soon!!! (From my teenager) Update: went back and had delicious pineapple aqua fresca, seasonal cheesecake, elotes (yum!!!!), birria tacos with consome, and fish tacos. Everything was fantastic again!
