"Chef Thomas Keller’s retro-glam dining room channels midcentury Miami, serving shrimp cocktail, Dover sole and martinis with art-gallery precision." - Ty Gaskins

"The Surf Club Restaurant by Thomas Keller offers nostalgic bistro fare alongside plenty of stiff martinis. Housed in one of Miami’s most storied buildings — now one of its chicest hotels — the dining room is adorned with art deco chandeliers, warm wood paneling, and plush leather banquettes, transporting guests back to the city’s golden era. Kick the night off with one (or two) of those martinis or a well-chosen wine from the restaurant’s impressive selection of vintages. The menu complements the old-school feel of the space, with upscale renditions of beef Wellington, Caesar salad prepared tableside, and a well-executed roast chicken for two. Don’t miss the decadent ice cream sundae, prepared tableside and topped with an array of indulgent toppings, including chocolate drizzle, marshmallow fluff, Chantilly cream, and more." - Allison Ramirez

"On‑site at the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, this One MICHELIN Star destination from lauded chef Thomas Keller makes dining a draw in its own right." - The MICHELIN Guide
"Yes, Surf Club is quite expensive. But, in a city where so many restaurants promise guests a dose of old school glamour, this Surfside spot is one of the very few that delivers on that promise. That’s why we dress up like it’s 1955 and we’re about to attend a Grace Kelly movie premiere to eat here. The menu reads like a greatest hits of dishes your grandparents probably loved. But the Surf Club makes them feel (and taste) exciting, not stuffy and boring. The $152 beef wellington is—yes—so freaking expensive but also a life-changing piece of beef. Plus, the service is so spectacular you’ll half expect them to tip you on the way out." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"There aren’t a lot of restaurants in Miami where you can dress like you’re going to a very fancy wedding without feeling like a high school freshman severely overdressed for Homecoming. But Surf Club is one of those restaurants. This place feels like the set from a classic movie where the main characters break into dance every 20 minutes and is also housed in a historic (and gorgeous) hotel in Surfside. The food is expensive classics like beef wellington and lobster thermidor. Sure, there might be a few streetwear A-holes here, but at least they’ll be the ones who should feel stupid, not you." - ryan pfeffer
