The Best Savannah, Georgia, Restaurants | Eater Carolinas

"In the hierarchy of Savannah’s Caesar salads, Local 11 Ten, and its rooftop dining lounge, Perch, come out on top. This Daniel Reed restaurant, located in a restored 1950s bank, is where locals bring their out-of-town guests for familiar Southern flavors served with contemporary flair. Staples like the homemade garganelli bolognese, grilled okra, and crave-worthy chicken liver mousse, topped with bee pollen, consistently impress. Go for happy hour for wine by the glass with single-digit prices." - Kiki Dy

Google
We had an overnight in Savannah and my wife found this great restaurant to eat at. Kyara was our server and she was great. The menu doesn’t specify gluten friendly or not plates, but Kyara was clever enough of to have a cheat sheet to provide options. To kickoff there is what I always call “fighting” focaccia bread served with rosemary butter, cause it’s so good it’s worth fighting over the last piece. We also had the wonderful spicy mussels and some delicious crispy cauliflower. For main courses we ordered the grouper served gluten friendly and I had the curry shrimp with our daughter ordering the 1/2 chicken. All plates were served with exquisite taste and portions were just right for the plates. Honestly all 3 plates were winners in our book. There was no room for dessert, but I did have some old fashioned while I was there and my hats off to the bartender as well. If you’re in the area, make yourself a reservation and go enjoy some fabulous food and service.

Google
The food is the main attraction here. The farm to table concept works and Local 11ten is proof. The pasta was stellar and the chicken and grits were perfect. This place is off the beaten path but honestly it's worth it. Get the Whipped Ricotta. Just awesome.

Google
Such a beautiful and elegant restaurant! very clean, cozy, and perfect for a night out. The service was attentive, and the vibe felt special from the moment we sat down. We ordered the Veuve Clicquot Rosé, which was wonderful, though priced much higher than what we usually see for that bottle. The Yellow Coconut Curry Shrimp was fresh and flavorful, though a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, it was a lovely evening with great ambiance and presentation a place to enjoy a special night out.

Google
Local 11ten was our favorite restaurant in Savannah. The atmosphere, service, and food were great. We started with the whipped ricotta and the chef’s soup which were both delicious. The chef’s soup was broccoli cheddar with cabbage and olive oil. My wife had grouper and I had the grilled ribeye which was cooked to medium perfectly. Finally, we couldn’t eat anymore food so we took the strawberry shortcake home for dessert and ate it the next afternoon. This was delightful, as it was a blend of strawberry shortcake and tres leches, two of my favorite desserts. We highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again the next time we’re in Savannah.

Google
Fantastic restaurant. If you love Mussels, you should definitely order the spicy mussels with the garlic aioli sauce bread for dipping. I was also a fan of the Whipped Ricotta. The menu allows multiple options also for vegetarians . If your gluten free let them know and they can do something for you . Also a quick side note , if you don’t like mint this isn’t your menu . A lot of their recipes call for mint . But it’s not overwhelming. 10 Stars ⭐️ all the way around.

Google
A little dark, but most restaurants now seem to use low lighting (difficult to read menu). This does allow for nice ambiance though. Easy to hold conversations at the table. Wait staff didn't rush us through our meal, or through each portion. Went to The Perch, rooftop bar after dinner.

Google
Local 11ten is a highly acclaimed restaurant known for its high-quality, locally sourced food, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere. Situated on a two-floor house with a rooftop, the outdoor tables offer a picturesque setting perfect for enjoying a meal in the open air. Due to its intimate size, reservations are highly recommended to secure a table at this popular establishment. The restaurant prides itself on a dynamic menu that changes frequently to reflect the freshest seasonal ingredients. Each dish is carefully crafted with fresh, flavorful ingredients and expert seasoning, ensuring a memorable dining experience. While it's important to note that Local 11ten may be priced higher than other dining options in the area, the exceptional food quality and the overall dining experience make it well worth the investment. I highly recommend giving Local 11ten a try for a truly remarkable culinary experience.

Google
Wonderful service and delicious Caesar salad. Be prepared for the garlicky flavour. It began to get a tad strong towards the end. The both of us had the salad so we were not afraid of the morning breath that comes with it. Perfect place to take your main squeeze. First time in the restaurant and Savannah. The restaurant is worth the visit.

Yelp
Hidden gem, underrated! Fine cuisine! Great job chef Jake! Mixologist also has skills! Go!

Yelp
I have been coming to this place ever since their opening and bringing customers here quite many times... food and service are always impeccable. The fresh grouper that I had on this particular visit had an interesting twist with a little mustard crusting flavor . Delicious!

Yelp
Service was impeccable, every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. One of the best meals we've had in Savannah in years.

Yelp
Absolutely a great experience. Customer service was top-tier.. the decor and ambience is very nice. The food choices are limited, however delicious. We ordered wine top that was quality, a half a chicken entrée as well as a steak entrée. Very fulfilling I definitely would be back.

Yelp
There is nothing better then a simple one page menu we're everything looks great. And local 11ten did just that. Loved the modern yet chic look. It brings very simple dishes that just take a step up, such as the Caesar salad. One of the best salads I've ever had. Highly recommend for your next date night

Yelp
Went this past Thursday before an American Legion meeting to have dinner and couldn't have enjoyed my time there any better. This is a very fine place with delicious food and a staff that is amazing. Was able to easily walk in without reservations which is beyond nice and get seated in the main dining area. The decor is fun with original art on the walls. They bring a focaccia out to start which is devine. I got their Vietnamese shrimp crepe which is light but full of flavor and then had their lamb ragu pasta starter size. It was perfect and its flavor is explosive and delicious. If you get the chance you have r to give them a try, they really are a gem of the city.

Yelp
Food was so good, service just right, and the restaurant lovely. Also in an excellent location for discovering parts of Savannah that might be new to visitors.

Yelp
Maybe the BEST Grouper I have ever had. Thats saying a lot being it's my favorite fish. Excellent atmosphere! Wonderful wait staff, and they were able to accommodate our need for gluten free dining needs. A win!

Yelp
We walked into 11 Ten right after arriving in Savannah for the first time. Sat at the bar, Abby was our bartender. The wine by glass menu was pretty good, some nice old world choices. My husband enjoyed a nice rye cocktail with a big beautiful cube. We shared their Sunday ragu with homemade pasta, very nice, and a caeser salad. One bummer: the salad was off the rails garlicy, coming from two people who love garlic. Ambiance moody classy. Abby was great: friendly, attentive and offered great suggestions of things to see while in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing place for drinks and dinner. We had a 6pm dinner and after walking the park decided to show up early and have a drink first Abby and O'Neil at the bar were fantastic.. With a party of 6 were torn between sitting my the vault or down at the end at longer table by the front windows. We chose the latter. Sarah was our server and she was phenomenal. We appreciated her attention to detail and for putting up with us. Must haves * Caesar Salad * Beet Salad * Spicy Muscles * Mustard Encrusted Grouper * Garganelli Ragu * THE BREAD It's the little things * Nice personal use hand towels in the bathroom. * so nice to have your food come to the table and the runners know where to place the plate vs the raise your hand if you ordered ..... cattle call at restaurants these days Service and Atmosphere was great! I Highly Recommend that you eat here.

Yelp
We had a lobster pasta special that was tasty but a little heavy on the sauce. Also tried the bolognese pasta and that was really good. The Vietnamese crepe was very unique and fresh. One friend for the fried cauliflower and said it was the best she's ever had. I tasted it and it was full of flavor and unique in that it had more of a Mediterranean vibe than you usually get with that dish. We also shared the yellow coconut curry and that was great too. All around a really solid dinner.

Yelp
This was probably my least fav restaurant in Savannah. It was FREEZING inside with the air with the A/C turned up all the way. They turned it off, but then somehow it came back on again. Our food came out semi warm. I was looking forward to the soup to warm me up, but it wasn't hot at all and the bread was burnt. The best thing on the menu was the tuna crudo, ceasar salad, and the complimentary bread that they give you. The server was knowledgeable about all the specials, but she didn't seem the friendliest and talked too fast to where we had to ask her to repeat what she said. Lastly, the bathroom was out of paper towels so we had to use tissues to dry our hands - for a restaurant like this they really need to do better. I would not come back, there are just too many other good restaurants to eat at in Savannah...so you can def skip this one!

Yelp
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. I went for the pork belly which was spectacular. I also tried the seafood in curry and it was very good as well. However, two of the other adults shared a piece of the ribeye and chicken and both plates were extremely salty. They decided not to tell our server about the situation so I didn't say anything. I still will visit this place again, but with hesitation considering that two different plates had an excess of salt. The wine list is very diverse and I'd recommend the Tempranillo is they have it available.

Suzanna T.

Yelp
Great meal- pasta was light and perfectly prepared. All our meals were delicious. Homemade ice cream was amazing.

Mike K.

Yelp
Savannah has MANY options and this was clearly a stand out. Starting with a great cocktail list. Appetizers were excellent starting with White Asparagus Salad, and if you are Mussels lover the Mussels are a must. Seared Duck was the best in recent memory and the homemade pasta Shrimp Scampi Tagliatelle was exceptional. The fresh Strawberry Shortcake was excellent. In my opinion a must for Savannah and away from all of the tourist.
google avatar

Alexis L.

Yelp
Get the Caesar salad you will not regret it. And the halibut as well. One of my favorite meals in this lifetime. The pasta is also really good if the halibut isn't available since it's seasonal

Kristen G.

Yelp
So it's very good...but... -all the reviews say to get the caesar salad..it's GARLICKY. Like an insane amount actually. It's loadedddd with dressing and garlic. -the cocktails are solid -the veggie dish, the broccoli, was disappointing. This is more of a side dish, less of a main. (And a WILD amount of tzatziki) -the grouper was pretty good -the bread?? It's...unreal. Best bread in Savannah.

Yelp
The wedding rehearsal dinner was very yummy. Everyone enjoyed their food and and we had lots of fun and a wonderful time celebrating Irma and Vito.

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner here.everything was awesome! Our server, Kalea, was amazing. Best service I've had in awhile. Will be back again.

Yelp
Excellent food and great drinks. I went there with my husband and we had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is lovely. Good ambience. It was pretty empty when we went since our reservation was at 5pm but by the time we left it was very busy. Can't wait to go back to Savannah and have another wonderful meal at this restaurant.

D L.

Yelp
Pretty restaurant with polite waitstaff and a diverse and interesting menu. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and were happy they were able to accommodate our larger party. However, we were seated next to some over-served patrons who kept harassing our table. Rather than relocate our party so we could dine in a peaceful setting, the general manager gave us a lot of excuses ("oh, he's just like that when he drinks a lot."). I understand that the restaurant is not responsible for patron behavior, but continuing to seat parties next to over-served and intoxicated regulars made for such an uncomfortable dining experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Christine H.

Yelp
We had a reservation here, and were seated immediately, and then waited. And waited. It seemed that one waiter was in charge of most tables and he was stretched too thin. It took a long time to get drinks and food. The food was very good once it came. I enjoyed the shrimp curry. Fair warning to any vegetarians - there aren't really options on the menu for you. My daughter ordered her pasta without meat sauce, and I was a bit surprised that it still cost $36 for pasta with butter, olive oil and Parmesan.
google avatar

Yelp
Not sure about all the pics. We saw a very upscale bright restaurant. The site doesn't do it justice. Only down side was that the AC was set very cold. Food was fantastic. Strong drinks. They make a bread on site that was terrific. Get the mussels !! Unbelievable- you won't be disappointed. Service good. You will appreciate the chef , had the tuna special and was very impressed. Partner had a ribeye medium rare and it was done exactly right. We are going back , great place.

John T.

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Lovely restaurant, with very good food. We ate at several restaurants in Savannah, and this was our favorite.
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
The vibe is very cool, we sat inside. The service was awesome, very helpful and attentive. The food sounded amazing on the menu, but just didn't really deliver on the plate. We had the ricotta starter - a couple bites and you're kind of over it, the Caesar salad was super garlic based, but good. The chicken liver was too sweet and tasted more like a dessert the way it was prepared. The pork belly was also just okay, pretty dry and mid. The cavatelli was very heavy and also basic and okay. The wine list was fantastic and the cocktails were very good. I just think that based on the price, there wasn't anything I'd ever order again, so that was just disappointing.
google avatar

Chanda K.

Yelp
We had the best server I have ever met. Shannon kept it light with laughter and yet professional. She anticipated what we needed before every request. I will come back just to have her serve my table. It was our anniversary and a stressful week for my family, we really needed not just great food, but such kind service. And a beautiful quiet nook to share together. Thank you Shannon-we will be back.
google avatar

Deborah M.

Yelp
The best meal of my life. I still remember the seared scallops and black rice like it was yesterday, but it was actually 11 years ago. Amazing.
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
We had an early reservation for dinner on a busy, spring Friday evening. The restaurant was pretty full, so definitely plan on making reservations (which we had). The menu is limited - about half a dozen starters/plates to share and another half a dozen mains. There is a good selection of menu items to choose from but if you are dining with picky eaters, the menu could be a challenge. I shared the garganelli with bolognese sauce and the smothered half chicken, and both portions were quite large. We ate plenty and had leftovers. The chicken was quite juicy and the mustardy sauce was quite tasty; I'm not generally a fan of mustard but the mustard provided some nice kick. We finished dinner with the parfait - chocolate mousse with a chocolate coffee crumble. Definitely for the chocolate lover and meant to be shared as it's quite rich. Service was great, and our server was particularly attentive to any allergies at the table.

Yelp
With a dearth of superior eateries in Savannah, there are so many excellent places to eat in this beautiful city. Local is one of my favorites amongst them. Taking its name from it's number on the street address where it is located, everything is local here. The food is sourced within the area, where possible. And it shows! We started with cocktails. I highly recommend the lemon martini. It was divine. They have a strong wine menu and you will most certainly find some to your liking. The beef barley soup was a special during our most recent visit. It was the star of the show! It was teeming with meat and simply delish, in a word. My husband was pleased with his chicken entree and I had a steak that fed me for several days after! It was cooked just as I'd ordered. We went for the mousse parfait at the end and we were suitably pleased with our choice. The ambiance in the dining room is uplifting and elegant. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. They work hard and seem to have a rhythm about their success. The next time you want to celebrate a big moment or just a night of self love, look no further than here. With an elegant interior, a fine dining experience that will meet your expectations and on street parking, everything is just right.

Yelp
The staff at Local 11 were super accommodating. We had a tough group with us with a lot of requests and they tried their best to meet them. I went with a party of 6+ and everyone enjoyed their food for the most part. I had the flank steak - which I quickly remembered is not the best cut. For $47 I do think that they could have chosen a better cut. However, the flavors were amazing. Amongst the group, the mussels, Caesar salad, and scallops were a huge hit. I did notice they use a bit of salt on their food though which is ok for those who don't mind it. Overall, I'd come back and get the scallops and polenta if they have it and do the cocktails. The server did say they change their menu quite often. The ambiance is nice - dark and moody.

Yelp
All is well at Local 11 Ten. Pleasantly surprised. Went for an early Galentine's Day dinner with my beautiful girlfriends. We settled on the semi private room. The restaurant in beautiful. Looks like it may have been an old bank. The private room is situated where the bank drive thru window is. Separated from the main dining room with a curtain. Service was impeccable. Restaurant opens at 5:30pm. Not a moment sooner. Reservations recommended; clearly this is a local favorite. Rightfully so. Menu appears limited, but all of the options are full of flavor. Expansive bar menu. Limited happy hour options. Cocktail: Local 11 Ten version of a Paloma Appetizer: Caesar Salad with Anchovies Entree: Fish Stew Friends ordered, grouper, steak, and chicken for entrees and cleared their plates. Expect huge portions Friends also ordered, mussels and the snapper crudo. Both delicious. You cannot go wrong here no matter what you order! Next time, I'm going to make it to the rooftop for a nightcap. Any reason to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
This was the best meal we had over a three day trip to Savannah, hands down. Great atmosphere, excellent menu, and top notch execution. And if you ask for an unfussy cocktail, you will get one an expertly mixed one, served without any lip curl that you've strayed off the 'curated' list! Also, the grown up chips and dip are totally worth it.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
Arrived early on a Friday evening. Let hostess/owner know we had reservations but would like to head to the roof-top. She was awesome and walked us to staircase. Had cocktails on the roof-top bar (Perch). Perfect time. Walked back downstairs for dinner. Staff was 10/10 Food 10/10. Will always visit again when in Savannah. TY Local 11 Ten!

Burke T.

Yelp
Great food & drinks at not an entirely outrageous price for a birthday dinner. Drinks were interesting, appetizers were each bright and not too heavy, & entrees were rich and satisfying. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance was perfect for an evening birthday celebration for two. Besides the pictures, also tried the Chef's Soup, Ribeye, Homemade Ice Cream & Espresso Martini. All delicious.

Ben S.

Yelp
Seemed like a more local focused restaurant in a touristy city, this little American focused restaurant had great dishes overall and quite great service. The food was interesting - schnitzel on the menu was a fun choice and quite good. An eclectic wine list, fun food options and a cool space makes this quite a choice to make if you're up for something out of the norm. Solid to consider for any night out, among many others.
google avatar

Gina S.

Yelp
So, the ambiance is great. The food is good, but the menu is a little small and very eclectic. There was only one salad on the menu, which was a Caesar salad. Very garlicky. The bartender was not good. It was honestly the worst martini we've ever had. We ordered a dirty martini with gin and a regular martini, they were both served in a glass that was too large for the pour. There's nothing worse than getting a martini that's only 3/4 of the way full. They tasted awful. Overall the restaurant was fine, but wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Emilie W.

Yelp
What a wonderful place! I ended up sitting at the bar and made friends with Abby the bartender who was absolutely amazing! She made me a krampritz which has aperol, cranberry, Prosecco, soda and GLITTER! Such a beautiful drink! For dinner I had the green tomato tart....but the star of the show was the rosemary butter and bread.... If you want a life changing experience you NEED that butter in your life! Absolutely AMAZING!!! Such a great place to visit! And event better staff
google avatar

Alice J.

Yelp
This was after work stop with a great friend, I've never been to this location, so first time which was exciting, The ambiance was just awesome, very well designed and laid out. The service at the bar was not lacking at all, both bartenders were attentive and very authentic. My friend and I both had the Rosemary lemon martini, 2 to be exact. Oh Happy hour 5:30-6:30. As you can see I choose the tuna , very delicious and tasty along with the bread and butter I& to top it off I got the steaming hot sweet potato, yes I did eat the whole bowl. I am going back other food on the menu I want to try.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 2 people at 530 pm. I called to change it because 3 more wanted to join and I spoke to restaurant directly. I received text that reservation was by restaurant changing reservation to 5 people but changed time to 715 pm because nothing early for 5. Totally understandable. When we arrived at 715 they allegedly said we did not have reservation. They blamed the reservation company but I talked to the restaurant directly and showed text. Then front staff talked among themselves ignoring us. Then said we could eat at sunroof when it opens at 730. Waited and when we asked at 730 another person came to the front and same b.s. and self discussions. Then changed opening of sunroof to 745. We got tired of waiting and the self discussions between the front staff. We left and spent our funds elsewhere. We will definitely not return. Much better places to eat in Savannah with the ability to properly care for customers.

Catherine O.

Yelp
Diego was so fun and intelligent. he's the best. definitely will be back. The food was great and good cocktails.
google avatar

Suzanne D.

Yelp
We visited Local 11 Ten on a recent mother/daughter trip to Savannah. Without a doubt it was our best dining experience of the trip. The food was fresh, flavorful, and creative. The interior is beautiful. The aesthetic is peaceful and calm. The staff is top notch--professional, available without hovering. My daughter ordered the mussels and loved them. They were a tad spicy as advertised--fresh and delicious. I got the pork schnitzel that was amazing. We also shared the tomato salad--definitely summer on a plate. For anyone who loves great food, Local 11 Ten should be top on your list in Savannah.

Susan B.

Yelp
We went to Savannah on December 16, from Florida. We made an online reservation for Local 11 Ten. When we got there the building was dark and we eventually found a sign on one door that said the restaurant was closed for the evening. Very disappointing, when we thought we had a reservation!
google avatar

Laynie J.

Yelp
Service was good. Food was delicious. But took an hour to receive our appetizer. High quality bread.
google avatar

Tina R.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! We had a reservation at 6pm and we did get there a tad early. But they seated us immediately, and were greeted by the waiter Casey the moment we sat down. The attentiveness and customer service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. Cheers to the chef hands down one of the best experiences! The flavors in every single dish was delicious thank you for a wonderful experience!

Yelp
After a pretty long walk from our hotel as we were exploring we found This gem and dropped in for a cocktail and snack at the bar. It's swankier than we expected, and we didn't have reservations, but we snagged a seat at the bar. I went with a local beer, a crispy and tasty Blonde, but I can't remember the name. My girlfriend went with a Jalapeño lime spritzer. Refreshing with a subtle burst of heat from the pepper, but perfectly balanced, We ended up getting a little snack as well. The seasame seed tuna was excellent. Perfectly seared tuna with an avocado cream sauce. Super nice staff that checked in often to make sure we didn't need more water or another round. This was a perfect pitstop for us. The menu isn't huge, but I'm assuming what they do they do really well, based off the cocktails and dish we had.

Yelp
Located right outside Forsyth Park, @local11ten is a cozy restaurant inside the Old Savannah Bank. They use local ingredients from Savannah farmers and fresh seafood from the Georgia coast. * Market Crudo * bacon dashi, buttermilk, fennel, benne seeds, lemon zest * Lamb Brochette * green chermoula, cucumber, carolina gold rice, basil

Yelp
Imagination meets excellence. White fish pate: grade A+++. Outstanding. I've tasted all kinds of food, and love when I encounter a composed dish with elements that I've never had before. Don't hesitate. Just get it. Lamb tartar: grade A-, Again, another inventive combination. The tart mustard seeds from the white fish pate dish added a nice kick. Summer squash gazpacho: grade B+, I liked the flavors, but would've preferred it as a hot soup. The New York strip: grade A++++, the steak was full of flavor with a great crust. This is a large entree and is probably best shared.

Yelp
This place has it all, good food, outstanding service and great atmosphere! Definitely recommend for date nights.

Yelp
This is my last review to write for the places we dined on our recent trip to FL/GA. Saving the best for last! Local 11ten was a great experience from start to finish. Ambience was spot on - muted lighting but not too dark, a bit of buzz but not noisy. Service from Thomas was crisp and attentive - just what you would expect from a restaurant with the reputation they have - and peppered with local intel for the remainder of our trip. All courses were well done and didn't disappoint. This will definitely be a place we return to when we can visit again.
