This is hands down one of my favorite spots, and I finally made it here for brunch on Sunday ☀️🍽️ The vibe is always on point, but brunch was such a fun change up. They have a birria burger that’s only available for brunch and only on a specific day, so it definitely feels like a must try 🍔🔥 The flavor was amazing, super savory and comforting. I will say for the price I expected the portion to be a bit bigger, but the taste absolutely delivered. I also ordered the pancake skillet and it came fresh out of the oven 🥞🤍 So fluffy, warm, and perfectly cooked. The caramelized bananas with the fresh whipped cream on the side were such a nice touch and made it feel extra indulgent. I’d 100 percent come back here for brunch again. Great food, great vibe, and always a solid go to in Hoboken ✨🍽️

This is so good. I saw quite a hype of this place on a tiktok and waited a while to go but I genuinely believe Antique lives up to the hype ESPECIALLY with the bread pudding. I think it was the best dessert I’ve ever had. it’s massive and the 4 of us couldn’t even finish it which i’ve never had an issue with before. Really worth checking out! Great cozy vibe and good staff.

We used to love Antique Bar and come here often, mostly for their escargot. But this time the experience was really disappointing. The escargot was nothing like it used to be. The bread they served with it was actually burned, and the sauce tasted completely different. It felt like the spicy sauce was gone, and even the oil seemed different. The whole dish just didn’t taste the way it always did.We also ordered pasta and fish, and unfortunately those weren’t great either. The quality just didn’t feel the same as our previous visits.It honestly felt like something has changed. We always enjoyed coming here, so this visit was very unexpected and a bit disappointing.

Overall rating: 4.7 My oh my, my friends wanted to try this place being in New Jersey. Through some research I realized it was a very popular place, especially their bread pudding for lunch. I came around 12 so I didn’t really want breakfast food by the time I was ready to eat. I ordered the mussels and while they were good, I was expecting the sauce to be delicious. The green sauce was a lot thinner & tasted very healthy. Not sure why I thought it would taste more like the typical sauce. It was just okay. I also ordered the infamous bread pudding with my friends who agreed reluctantly and wow 3 people was too little. You need at least 4 people to eat that! I took a good amount to go & it filled my dessert for the whole week! It was a really nice setting but the waitress was so friendly! She was selling every piece and wasn’t pushing either. We went around 1 so I think the brunch rush was coming to an end. Everyone was so friendly and I’d definitely go again if I’m in the area. Recommend trying something else that I didn’t order.

We loved this place - we went for brunch and were so happy and stuffed. The bread pudding is to die for! My husband was craving it for his birthday dessert - so we brought one home! It heats up well in the oven. Highly recommend!

Had heard decent reviews for the place and considering how busy they were it seemed others agreed but unfortunately it did not even get close to expectations. Ordered the lasagna edges to try something new and I’m not sure who thought that was a good dish to have on the menu. Just straight grease, no flavor topped with a big stick of bread that goes with nothing. Just severely disappointed with my experience based on the prices and the fact we were also tucked away in a corner too.

Atmosphere is nice! But the food is just above average! Steak was over cooked although ordered medium rare. The server was no where to be found for 10 min so we just started eating! The muscles are great, but portions are small. Pasta is really good only thing i would give a 5 star Bread budding is good! The caramel and the oven bake flavor is what is making it good! It was a good experience! But it isnt worth coming back for this price. Drinks are great thou!

We enjoyed our Sunday family dinner. Tasty and rich with a bit of a kick here and there. Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff we met were amazing and helpful. There were a few issues although my only complaint is the limited wine list. Chef is doing a wonderful job with the huge flavors in every dish. Thank you all.

Service is very good. Michael was busy but he checked back to see when we were ready. Everyone's meal came all prepared at once. No pressure to leave but prompt attention for orders, to pay , and honored any special meal request. Very good.

This was my first time dining at Antique Bar & Bakery and it was a great time! The restaurant is cozy with some nice history behind the brick oven. The drinks here are great! We came during Sunday brunch and the menu had so many unique items it was hard to pick. I ended up going with the Birria burger and it was phenomenal and super delicious! My fiance loved his chicken sandwich. Everything was amazing and we cannot wait to come back next time we are in the area!

Starting out with the food - we split the butternut squash rice balls, the meatball, the mezzo rigatoni, the burger, Brussel sprouts, and the bread pudding. First of all the bread pudding is a must. I always saw videos and pictures of it on Instagram and now I know why it's so popular. It's amazing. 10/10. Next thing we loved that was recommended by our waiter was the Mezzi Rigatoni - a lot of good flavors going on here, probably our favorite out of the other things we got. Burger was good, very juicy and a lighter burger feel with the pickled onions however the bottom bun got very soggy. Buffalo Brussels Sprouts with homemade ranch were surprisingly really good - if you need to get a veg in this is a solid option to add if you don't want a salad. Butternut squash rice balls were yummy, nice mouthfeel , however they didn't scream butternut squash to me. If it wasn't labeled, I probably wouldn't know there is squash in it - very subtle. And we got the meatball as well - which was yummy, solid portion to split and comes with bread to soak up the tasty sauce. The Vibe of the restaurant is very cool. Nothing really like it in Hoboken. Lots of character all over and a nice moody vibe. Had a weird first couple minutes with service but then once our order was in everything came out super timely and staff was very attentive. Left this restaurant very full and happy we tried this place out. Would come back - curious to test out their cocktails as when we went we were doing dry January!

It's my fourth time at Antique, and the experience never disappoints. The cocktails are delicious, and the food is always some of the best you'll find in the area. We had a large group and sampled several dishes including the stuffed bread, rice balls, lasagna edges, roasted farro, hanger steak, and of course the famous bread pudding dessert. The staff were all very attentive, and the restaurant gets busy so be sure to make a reservation far in advance. The vibes are great even if you're just getting a quick drink and meal at the bar. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

What happened to this place? The flavor, service, and atmosphere have all gone down hill. The menu is so limited and the employees are rude. The bartender was kind and personable, but the rest of the host/waitstaff here were so short with me and rude when I asked if I could get a table. These guys act like teenage boys who don't know anything about eye contact, communication, or hospitality. For this price range per person, I would expect staff would be trained to be kind, professional, and welcoming. There was only 1 type of rose on the wine menu, and it tasted so sour like it had been opened a month ago. I was really excited about the lasagna edges but the dish was underwhelming. It's just a lot of butter and cheese. It needed some flavor, maybe another cheese, or meat, or some garlic or pepper flakes? I would pass on this dish and instead try the rigatoni or order a steak. (That's if I were to come back... not sure if I would give them another chance.. maybe for the bread pudding but that's it.) Lastly, sitting at the bar isn't comfortable. The stools are way too high for the bar height if you want to eat it's poorly designed. I'm 5'11'' and have a long torso so I felt like a giant, and I ended up taking myself outside to the streatery at a regular table that was more comfortable. Still tipped the nice bartender.

Some of the best food in the area if you're looking for a real culinary experience! I've come here numerous times and am always interested in the specials. Definitely recommend the priest stranglers and cocktails (albeit a bit pricey). The slight con could be the space. The outdoor area is convenient, but it can get hot quickly if you're sitting in the sun. I've also eaten inside, which has fun novelty decor, but can get a bit loud if you're in the back near the ovens.

I've heard great things about this place and on every list of best places in Hoboken this is always near the top. I really wanted to live it and be blown away but unfortunately was not. The restaurant itself is super cool and the inside is super unique. The service was a little slow but I was with a group and we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't that big of a deal. We started with the mussels, shishito peppers and the carbonara appetizer. All were pretty good but nothing mind blowing. I will say the bread that came with the mussels was the star and highly recommend ordering bread here. I got the birria burger which was recommended. It was pretty good but like most burgers with some type of other meat on it like brisket or this case short rib it kind of just turns into a short rib sandwich. It wasn't bad but not really a burger. The consume that came with it was very good though. The mezzo rigatoni was okay but I wouldn't say it was a stand out pasta dish. We finished with the bread pudding that was a 10/10. You have to get this if you are coming here. Overall, expectations were super high and they were not met but the food here was still really good and I would came back and try the other dishes here. Would recommend trying g this place out.

recently had the chance to try what might just be the best bread pudding I've ever tasted, and it was worth every penny of the $25. The texture was perfect--soft and moist on the inside, with a golden, slightly crisp exterior. Each bite was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. But the real star? The sauce. WOW. It elevated the dish to a whole new level. Creamy, indulgent, and perfectly balanced between sweetness and depth, it tied everything together beautifully. If you're a fan of bread pudding or just looking to treat yourself to a phenomenal dessert, this one's a must-try!

We finally made it to this Hoboken classic, 125 year old restaurant. Service was great, they even sat us 15 mins early then our reservation. I like how they told us some of the history of Antique Bar, like that it has the oldest coal oven in the USA. All of our dishes were delicious and nice size servings. This vintage restaurant is cozy and has a speak easy vibe with delicious drinks.

I'll start off by saying the atmosphere was so cool here! It matched the name as it was set up like an antique film set, the menu was set like a script and the place was covered in old movie references and props. Also a HUGE brick oven in the back, it's the biggest in the entire USA. Everything we got was decent. My lasagna edges was similar to an elevated Mac and cheese like dish that blended well together. The burger was cooked really well but I thought it was lacking a depth of flavor. It could have used a lot more seasoning to let the beef really shine because it was high quality beef and that was easy to detect. The fries were cooked great but also lacking salt. The favorite dish I had was the side of the pesto zuchini, honestly it was so delisious and happy we got that! The service was extremely quick and very friendly! Bummed I didn't grab any pictures!

Our server Chloe was a gem! She didn''t rush our party of 6 and let us chat and drink and eat. The vibe is cool and rustic. The food is very good BUT the kitchen did not time it right. The food came out two dishes at a time with about a 10 min delay

Unexpectedly tasty! I went into Antique with little to no expectations and they wowed me. The place is the oldest working bakery that used to service all of Hoboken! So of course we had to try their bread. We ordered a fresh baguette and it may have been better than bread I had in Paris. The Mac and Cheese was pretty standard. My fiancée got the Barbacoa Short Rib. We also ordered the Bread Pudding and it was unlike any other! Besides the food, it was a really cute, cozy atmosphere. I liked our server. I noticed that people were dressed well and felt a little underdressed so an fyi for anyone considering going!

My absolute favorite restaraunt in Hoboken. There was a giant party happening at the same time so it was extremely loud and crowded. We tried a lot of foods, the bill was very very expensive. But the food is so good. And the bread pudding is worth every penny.

Maybe the best restaurant in New Jersey! I can't recommend this restaurant enough! All the food options are excellent and the portion sizes are large! The only exception is that the burger seemed kinda lazy. That doesn't matter though because the food I got was life changing! The Barbacoa Short Rib was huge, spicy, and delicious. We got that and the Mac and Cheese. It turned out to be really smart because combining the two is easy and delicious! We felt like mad scientist who had discovered the cure to the common cold! We also order a toasted baguette with butter because we had to try the bread from the oldest bakery in NJ. Totally worth it! Also don't be a dummy, save room for the Bread Pudding, it's the best thing you'll ever have. Really great spot to impress a date or have a nice date night with your partner!

We saw this on tick too and it lived up to the hype. The meatballs. Short ribs and bread pudding are must haves. Great service and interesting drinks. I loved the location and would definitely go back.

Came for Saturday night brunch and started with the mushroom ragú rice balls that felt a bit emptier than usual rice balls but they were delicious, they were also on the smaller side but definitely hit the spot and loved the garlic aioli that came with it. The homemade fries were unsalted and needed some salt but loved how fresh looking they were compared to the usual frozen fry. For my entree I had the eggs Benedict and loved it. The n'daju sausage was a nice addition to this dish and gave it some more depth of flavor. The home fries lacked flavor and the salad was a bit too acidic. Last but not least - the infamous bread pudding! Large enough to share and so delicious! You have the option to add caramel which we did and definitely added a nice touch extra flavor in there but if you prefer it less sweet, you can skip on the caramel. Service was ok, could've been a bit more attentive but overall she was friendly. The ambience is definitely a cool, vintage look - loved that they kept it as it matches the name. Only street paid parking in the area so make sure you leave early enough to find parking. There's also another spot nearby called Antique 112 so make sure you enter the correct location!

Very very good food. The place is small and cramped and dimly lit. We had to use our phone light to see the menu. The music at times was so loud I was yelling over it to talk. The bathrooms are small and kind of dirty, there was no holder for the toilet paper and I found it behind the toilet which is gross. The wait staff felt very chill. Our waiter was nice, he forgot my friends drink and then brought it out and didn't charge for it so that's good. In order to eat at a decent time you need to book a reservation way in advance. I had to keep my eye on it when the new reservations would open online so I can get the time slot I wanted which was 7:30. I booked like 2 weeks in advance. We ended up getting there at 7:45 and it was no issue. We had a to wait a bit for the host to arrive at the front to seat us. There were some people trying to get in without a reservation and it seemed the staff was nice to them and tried but I don't think it happened. I got the burger $26. Big filling burger. The flavor was like no other burger. The crisp/ char on the outside tasted so unique. Perhaps because it was cooked in the 100 year old oven. The fries where cooked perfectly. I loved the addition of the pickle on the side and the pickles on top of the burger! I love pickles. My friend got the Mezzi Rigatoni and the sauce was delicious, also never tasted a sauce like that before. She really enjoyed it. All big portions. And we had to get the bread pudding the size of a head for dessert! $25. Best bread pudding I ever had!! It's crispy on the outside but hot and steamy and puddingy on the inside. The cocktail I got was "grow a pear" $16 and it was very good. Sweet and bubble but not too sweet and had a delicate fruity flavor. Despite its flaws I would definitely come back just because the food is so good. The prices are spot on for the portions and quality of food you are getting. Come try this place!

Food was phenomenal, service was literally abysmal. We had a 7:30 reservation and didn't leave until 10:15 [on a Tuesday]. We also had to beg for the check 3 times before we were even able to close out. I will definitely go back and allow them to earn that extra star though with better service! The highlights were the mussels (literally best muscles I've ever had), meatball and pastas. Super cool vibe inside as well, and very good espresso martinis.

Vibrant and engaging - that's the predominant energy you feel when you enter the restaurant. There's the smell of varied and mouthwatering food, open-kitchen theatrics to spy with your side eye as you dine in, and the chatter of the crowd. We were already off to a great start. After getting ourselves some libations - A glass of Cab Sauv for me, and Beer on tap for my partner, we were ready for nourishments: Mussels in Green Garlic Butter Sauce with a side of Bread smeared with the Green Garlic Butter (5/5) - the mussels were cooked to perfection and the sauce was out of this world. We even boxed up the little sauce left behind at the end of it because of how divine it was. The portion was great and what a delightful appetizer to the items that followed. Loved this so much, ordering it again on my next visit. Short Rib Barbacoa with Mashed Yukon Potatoes (5/5) - this dish presented tender meat with a spicy and dynamic rub, garnished with lovely spiced and pickled pieces of pepper. One word - yum! The Yukon Mash was also the perfect pairing. Again, great serving size and the remains served as the best kind of topping for our homemade nachos the following day. As you can tell, we weren't leaving without trying the infamous bread pudding. The food leading up to it was so incredible but we tried to leave some space for the finale. Antique Bread Pudding (5/5) - we went off beat and asked for the caramel sauce on the side so that we could pour it to our liking. So we missed on the animation of it, but the taste was magnificent nonetheless. The exterior was toasted and had a bit of a bite and the interiors were tender and pudding-ier. Loved it. The caramel was also divine. And I absolutely get the hype behind this! All hits at Antique Bar and Bakery and cannot wait to try more of what they have to offer.

Wow! My mouth is watering just thinking about the food! Our server was Matt, he took the time to introduce himself, give us history and ran down the menu. I can truly say I will be back! This restaurant has gone viral on social media and with good reason. The food is great, The drinks are amazing, the dessert out of this world! My only criticism would be the steak although deliciously flavored was chewy. Please visit and get The bread pudding!

WOW! I'm already day dreaming about the next time I visit. The century-old institution also features a 30-ton coal oven and the restaurant still looks like a historic spot in some areas. So cool! We ordered the spaghetti squash carbonara, butternut squash rice balls, and priest stranglers with spicy sausage. We could really taste the sage coming through in the dishes, the portion were plentiful, and everything was so delicious and tasty. The pasta dishes had enough for us to take home because we couldn't finish it. Nonetheless, we saved some space for the Bread Pudding which I had been dying to try and boy it did not disappoint! It was the perfect amount of sweet without being overpowering. You bet we took that home as well! The service was great, we really enjoyed our waitress and our drinks were fantastic. You won't regret getting anything on this menu.

Antique Antique was one of my favorite places we went to in all of Hoboken. We went immediately at 5pm because we didn't have a reservation and wanted to catch a show in midtown. We were seated quickly and discussed what to get. We split a pasta dish (I forgot the name but it was amazing) and had the famous bread pudding. Let me start by saying the atmosphere of this restaurant is exactly what you want from a NJ / NY bar dinner. It is sexy and bustling, old yet upscale. I ateeee this up. The food was beyond incredible. The pasta dish we had was 11/10. Just so flavorful, creamy and comforting for that December night. The bread pudding can not be missed. It is what they're known for and it seriously is the best you'll ever have. It is physically massive so you can share this with 4 people easily. Overall - a perfect night out with the best food and company. Can not wait to be back!!

If your overthinking about giving this place a chance I'm here to tell you don't and just go! Food was simply amazing ! Everything was delicious and made fresh! Nothing tasted over seasoned at all. I had the priest strangler and it was so delicious and had a unique taste to it . I took a few bites of the artichoke salad and was seriously impressed! Drinks were also very good and refreshing. Service was great, our server was honest about food taking a bit to cook. The serve gave us history to the place which made it even a more pleasant experience. Ambiance: this place is for everyone! Simply amazing I am eagerly waiting to go back!!

This is one of the coolest interiors of any restaurant in Hoboken. You could play eye spy for hours with all the tchotchkes. I wish I had photos but every time we come here, we devour our food so quickly. The crispy artichoke salad with garlic parmesan dressing is my hands-down favorite. We also like the mac and cheese but to share around the table so as not to fill up before dessert. You have to get the bread pudding of course. Don't do the caramel on the sauce, just trust the process. Anticipating you won't be able to finish the bread pudding (we couldn't even as a group of 4), it reheats very well in an air fryer.

Cocktails and apps were great along with the artichoke salad. The mains were average. Service at 530pm on a Thursday could have also been better. All of our food came out at the same time even though we requested coursing. The bread pudding is good but massive and hard to take home. Overall, restaurant was ok I would only go back to sit at the bar for apps and drinks.

Celebrated our son's birthday at the Antique Bar & Bakery! Loved the atmosphere!! The menu reads like a movie script! There's movies playing on the walls-- circa the 1960's with scenes of Hoboken. Our Server Jack was AWESOME! He knew the drink and food menu well. Appreciated his recommendations! We made reservations and we were seated while we waited for my daughter and boyfriend. Enjoyed cocktails! Once we were all there!, Jack informed us! We need to place the entire order- appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts! He gave us plenty of time to look over menu! Appetizers were delicious! The meat special was served with sides. The short rib was served over mashed potatoes with a spicy kick. The rest of entrees, you needed to order sides. We ordered way too many sides! The carrots were my favorite side! I absolutely love bread pudding! This bread pudding was top notch! Loved it!!! From the presentation to the taste! And you can order the bread pudding online with goldbelly! Suggest you make reservations! Plan ahead, always traffic to get to Hoboken and you have to find metered street parking. You have to feed the meter until 9pm. Noticed on Sundays they serve brunch! Thank you for a wonderful night with family celebrating our son's birthday! Looking forward to returning!

Dined here again two years later and the experience fell short of expectations, especially given how hard it is to get a reservation. 1) service was slow and absent minded. We were clear with our servers that the 3 of us were planning to share everything. They never brought out serving utensils/extra silverware with each course. We had to track help down and even then it took a while and our food got cold. 2) dishes were average at best. The burnt edges lasagna was not good at all this time. The lasagna noodles were not well done/crispy at all and the cheese sauce was way too overpowering. It's weird they don't even tell you what the cheese is in the description. Would not order again. They couldn't even bother to melt the cheese on the toast. I'm having dinner here again in a few weeks. I will be sure to try different things and hope they have some good specials and see if it's at all better.

I started off the New Year right by visiting Antique Bar & Bakery and it was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived. I went with my family and friends for brunch and we had an incredible time. The host greeted us promptly and seated us without any delay. Our server, Matt, was very knowledgeable about the restaurant's history and shared some interesting facts about its vintage look. We started with two appetizers, the butternut squash rice balls and the arugula artichoke salad, and both dishes were outstanding, deserving a perfect 10/10. My friend and I ordered the steak and eggs, requesting it to be cooked medium rare. Although the steak was a bit chewy, it still had great flavor and I would rate it 8/10. My friend tried the priest stranglers and absolutely loved them, while my cousin had the birria burger, which they claimed was the best they had ever tasted, earning it a perfect 10/10. I will definitely be back because not only was the food exceptional, but the drinks also received a perfect 10/10. Lastly, I must mention the incredible bread pudding, it was simply divine. Antique Bar & Bakery is doing an amazing job and I highly recommend giving it a try.

The food and ambience is just wonderfully amazing! Truly unique flavor profiles from the 'Hot Hole' oven that everything is prepared in. Best meal in a restaurant in the last 5 years hands down. And the service is great.

10/10 bread pudding. 0/10 service. The food I've had is phenomenal, but they do terrible business in terms of pricing and service. First time I got an Italian baguette it was $2 and they charged $1 extra to pay with card though. Next time they said their baguettes are $3.75 each for cash and card. Their other restaurant, Antique at 112, charged $4.50! For brunch, the spaghetti squash carbonara was $15 and the bread pudding $17. I ordered the bread pudding for dinner one day and was charged $20. These inconsistent pricing practices discourage me from wanting to patronize them despite the fantastic food. Stop taking advantage of your customers. The bread itself is firm yet soft and not crusty. It has perfect consistency and smoothness. Excellent baguette bread perfect for sandwiches. The spaghetti squash was a hefty portion for the price and had squash shaped like spaghetti, a rich delicious carbonara sauce, salty delicious pancetta, and a breaded hard boiled egg. Absolutely fantastic dish. The bread pudding was masterfully made with their great bread, a rich moisture, especially at the bottom, and an ultra sweet caramel sauce on the side. The bread pudding is among the best I've had and perfect except for the too sweet caramel sauce.

Can't say enough good things about this spot, although it's a harder res to get it's so worth it to go. I went for my birthday dinner with family and friends and will say it is a bit loud inside but it's all part of the fun atmosphere. We ordered the pepperoni bread, the meatball, and Arugala salad to start which all exceeded my expectations , especially the famous stuffed pepperoni bread!! Then for mains I split the burger which was 10/10 and the lasagna edges with my friend. And ofc the star of the show is their bread pudding which cannot be beat. The portions are huge so keep in mind when ordering here!

We went to celebrate my friend's birthday but we couldn't get a reservation for her birthday even though it was three weeks away. So the expectations were high last night and we were not disappointed. The Martini's were awesome, the service impeccable. We ordered several appetizers to share at our server's recommendation, she was spot on. The meatball with the crusty bread was delicious, the rigatoni and the Cavatelli was to die for and you can't leave without ordering the bread pudding and I don't care how full you are, you can finish it for breakfast

I loved this place! Great bar area with great music and the tables were spacious and comfortable. The service was good and quick but we didn't didn't feel rushed at all. All dishes were brought out at a good time - not too many dishes on the table at once, which I love. All of the food was amazing and I would get everything again, especially the hot oil shrimp and the spaghetti squash carbonara....both delish! Everything else was also so flavorful and tasty.

Overall I would give the restaurant a 3.5. The waitresses are all very nice and knowledgeable about the menu so you can really ask any question you might have. The place is on the darker side with several old paintings and art work. This place is known for their drinks and bread (made in house) unfortunately I wasn't able to try either so I need to come back. I did try their squash rice balls which left my palate unsure at first but then as I kept eating it I enjoyed it more with the sauce. I also had the steak and eggs and it was just like any other steak and eggs. The star of the place is their famous bread pudding which definitely lives up to the hype but I would get it the caramel on the side next time since it already has plenty of crystallized sugar.

This is my second time coming here, and I'm sad to say that I still do not love this place. Thought I'd give it another try since last time I came for dinner, and this time for brunch. Ambiance here is decent. Has a vintage style, with a skylight at the ceiling in the back. Good amount of seats Service here is good, friendly staff, accommodating . Food I have to say...is subpar. Ordered the steak and eggs, asked for medium cooked, but I think it was overdone. Every single piece was extremely tough to chew...felt like I was fighting every single bite. Definitely looked better in the pictures! Sooo if you get the steak, definitely get it medium rare! (And then if it needs a little more cook time, you can request that). Friend ordered the steak sandwich...and her steak was also very over cooked. Don't think I'll be coming back here.

Downgrading to 1 star. Emailed dissatisfaction with not being seated at a table and got no response.

Antique Bakery has one of the best desserts in town - the bread pudding. It's the size of an adult's head and is a sight to see when caramel gets poured over it. Pro tip: order to go and eat it for breakfast the next day. The drinks are solid and the restaurant is a great vibe when you sit at the bar and see them made. The place used to be a bread bakery and the ownership left a lot of the details like the huge wood fire oven in the back. The food is phenomenal, especially the antique meatball and lasagna burnt edges. I recommend making reservations if you're going with more than two people or for a special occasion. Otherwise the bar is full-service and works well.

I never really bought into the hype around this restaurant, but now I get it! There are not a ton of vegetarian items on the menu, but they are happy to accommodate tweaks to a few dishes to make them vegetarian, which makes for a good selection. My favorite dishes were the spaghetti squash carbonara and the butternut squash arancini, which I also thought were the more unique dishes. Both were so decadently creamy with lots of flavor from the key ingredients. The spaghetti squash had a nice bite to it, and was topped with a crispy breaded fried egg that runs a little when you cut into it. The crispy artichoke and carrots were also very good. I was a little disappointed the burnt ends lasagne didn't actually have much of the texture and taste of burnt ends, but it was still a good dish, especially the mushrooms. And of course the signature bread pudding (the size of my head!) was delicious, although it's not different from other bread puddings I've had. The only downside is all the food is pretty heavy / rich, so I'd say best for a group to eat family style. Our waitress was super nice and really great about giving recommendations and explaining the menu, etc., but maybe because it was pretty busy, it was hard to find her for little things like getting cutlery and ordering more drinks. Absolutely recommend visiting here, and I'll definitely go back.

Hell yeah this is amazing. Get walking or get those sneakers ready. It's tough to get a reservation but it lives up to expectations and word of mouth. Great vibes with hip pictures on the walls and chill music set a great tone. Food is next level good. Wife had huevos rancheros and I gobbled down a great burger with well done fries. Finished meal with one of the best desserts ever: bread pudding. Only hitch was overcharge on a Bloody Mary but manager bent over backwards to remedy situation. Can't wait to go back!!

The food was so good and we were so impressed with menu . The service considering it was quite busy was amazing. The restaurant is very well maintained and great for everyone. Do yourself a favor and stop by. Great decor and a holiday vibe . Stop in for some unbelievable food ! Dawn Grzeszczak

The giant size shrimps are back! Absolutely love it! It is snowing but my food is prepared quickly and decently, I'll come back no doubt.

Really cool spot in Hoboken. Came here for my mother in law's birthday who wanted to go here from all the pictures and videos she saw on instagram. We had a reservation and got seated right away. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered a few things off of the menu to try all together. We started off with a round of drinks. I had the "All the Way". It was really refreshing, but the burned berries took over the drink after a few sips. If you plan on ordering the meatball, make sure you have someone to share it with! It was HUGE! The peppers in the sauce and meatball were interesting... would have preferred it without. I noticed that all of the food items had a touch of spice. The charred Caesar salad was good in flavor but extremely soggy. The escargots were yummy and the bread it came with was phenomenal. We ordered the rib-eye burger which was AWESOME! However, there should be a note that the "special sauce" is spicy... The lasagna edges were ok... had very little sauce so it was a bit dry but ok in flavor. The Mac and cheese was delicious and creamy. We all shared it and we all agreed it was our favorite part of the dinner! Now, if you like short rib you HAVE to order it from here. It was literally falling off of the bone. It was so tender and juicy... but again ... had a lot of spice. The main reason my MIL chose this restaurant was because of the bread pudding. Even if you're totally full and feel like you don't have room for dessert ... do yourself a favor and order the bread pudding!!!!!!!! It is INSANE and out of this world.

Here's the deal: I was very exited to try this place! However the hype didn't match results! The restaurant opens with into a long bar area. The tables are in a larger back room and side room. Food : Hot oil shrimp is amazing. The presentation & taste top notch! (Ask for more bread to dig in the sauce ) The Rigatoni & Ribeye were just average and not worth the price points! The bread pudding is a OMG experience. It's massive delicious and best shared with a few people! The spacing and tables are very tight so it's difficult to have multiple plates on the table (even had an empty dish spill into my lap trying to maneuver plates) Parking is impossible! Best bet is to get dropped off or build in time to hunt for parking spaces. There is a hosp parking garage a few blocks away that is open to public Our server was great! He did a great job explaining menu options and restaurant favorites. IF I EVER went back. I'd Uber .. I'd sit at the bar .. I'd order the shrimp w/ extra bread and bread pudding !

I came here last night for Mother's Day dinner. Despite many hiccups the food was really delicious. A lot of menu items were unavailable, but it gave me the opportunity to try different things I may have not ordered before. I ordered a dirty martini and I thought it was nice they offered the option of regular or blue cheese olives. That quickly wore off when I realized they charged me $2 for ONE blue cheese olive in my martini, I thought that was pretty ridiculous. The artichoke salad had big portions of meaty artichoke, it had a really good garlic sauce/dressing, I do wish there was more kale as it felt more like an artichoke dish than a salad. The spaghetti squash carbonara was my favorite dish of the night. The crispy poached egg was fun to break open and the perfect crunchy component to the creamy spaghetti squash with smoky bacon. I had the meatball which was huge, but honestly I've had better meatballs. My mom had the clam linguine and I could probably drink that sauce. The food saved the night but I will say this was not the ideal Mother's Day outing. I was dissapointed by the lack of options, and 40 minutes in to my dining experience the table next to us that came after us had their entire meal served while we hadn't even received our appetizer. I know it was a busy night, but it was a bit of a frustrating experience all around.

We went here on Monday night and the restaurant is totally our vibe decor and esthetic wise. Slightly on the dark side when trying to read the menu. When we got there we ordered a round of drinks at the bar while we waited for our table. We ordered an "All The Way" (Vodka, Simple, Burned Berries Citrus, & Prosecco) and a Dr. Strangelove (Dewars Scotch, Lemon, Gingerbrend Syrup, Laphroaig 8 Year, Cedar Smoke). The All the Way was actually really good and not overly sweet. However, the Dr. Strangelove smelt Smokey but didn't taste Smokey at all (still good but if you're getting it for the Smokey flavor you might want to pass). As for the menu. We were excited to try a bunch of the items and then as we were trying to order the stuffed breads and a few bottle of wine. This was a Monday night and we were told they were out of the stuffed breads and out of almost every bottle of wine wanted to order. For a restaurant that makes their own breads (5 different options) we were confused how the could be out of bread that is very prominently displayed on their menu. We moved on to order appetizers and decided on the meatball which was actually very tasty. An equal balance of sweet red sauce and some spiciness from the peppers on top (would definitely get again). For the entree we were told their "best seller" was the 16 oz. Grass Fed Prime Aged Rib-Eye. Since there were 4 of us we went for two of those. Ordered at different temperatures (medium and medium rare). When the steaks came out they were just put down on the table without telling us what temperature each steak was (which is weird). We had to use our flashlights to determine which temperature they each were. Overall, the steaks were tasteless (barely any seasoning even lacking basic salt and pepper) and not well cooked for the temperatures ordered. Our other entree was the Mezzi Rigatoni (Chicken, Sun-Dried Tomatoes & Mushrooms in a N'Duja Cream Sauce) which was tasty but not something I'll remember next week. Our side dishes we chose were Jenga Fries (Steak Fries w/ Garlic & Parmesan), Mexican Cauliflower w/ Charred Chili Aioli & Queso Cotija, and Brussels sprouts w/ Golden Crisp Apples, Bacon, Honey & Apple Cider Vinegar. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and the steak fries were ok but definitely needed more salt and garlic (which seemed nonexistent). The Mexican cauliflower however was super disappointing. It was just actually big pieces of cauliflower with some seasoning. We thought this side was going to be the best one. How we, it was just big pieces of cauliflower (not even cut into smaller pieces) and was also not really seasoned at all. Finally the best part of our meal was dessert! Their bread pudding is as delicious as everyone makes it seems. This was absolutely amazing and would probably be the reason we came back here! 10/10 for the bread pudding and the caramel sauce was delicious too! Little tip...we got our caramel sauce on the side which worked out great since we were able to save some of that deliciousness for the inside/bottom of the bread pudding! All in all we would give this a 3.5 and would go back for the meatball and bread pudding!

I've heard a lot of hype about this place so I was excited to go check it out. Now I can't wait to go back! The food was phenomenal and the DJ was such a fun touch. We ended up walking in with no reservation and we're able to order at the bar.

This is the fourth time I've eaten here the passed year. I always thought this place is amazing food wise and consistent. The spaghetti squash carbonara has been my go to. This time around this dish was underwhelming. The flavor is not how it used to be, the egg was also over cooked. The lasagna ends dish was bland and the mussels special is what you get in a not great diner. I'm so disappointed at this place. I'm only giving this 2 stars since the bread pudding is still good, this remained consistent. The rest is 1 star. I don't know if I'm willing to try this place again just to see if yesterday was just a fluke.
