Absolutely in LOVE with the vibe curated at Las Perras. There’s art all around to admire while awaiting your order, as well as plenty seating to choose from. They had a food pantry right outside their door, which I truly loved to see. This is the kind of coffee shop that deserves our coins! Their Yemeni Chai is toooodieeeeforrrrr. The honey really elevates it! I had it with oat milk.

Honey matcha w/pistachio milk - 10/10 - Best honey🍯 matcha ive had and matcha was strong Banana matcha w/vanilla cold foam - 8/10 - Matcha was so good but barely had banana🍌 flavor Gingerbread latte w/pumpkin cold foam - 6.5/10 - Foam was good but coffee had a sour taste, and didnt taste like gingerbread Maple pecan latte w/pistachio milk - 7/10 - More on the bitter side, i liked the bits of pecan but didnt taste much like maple Hot cocoa - 9.5/10 - Loved the spices in this🍫 Gingerbread cookie - 7/10 - Kinda hard but gingerbread flavor was nice and lightly sweet Pumpkin concha - 8/10 - Soft and moist🍞 with a nice coating but didnt taste much like pumpkin Las Perras has some really good matcha 🍵 so if youre in the area, stop by to try it! They have many syrups and foams to choose from as well. Their coffee ☕️ is on the more stronger/bitter side so if you like that then you might like the coffee!

Warm pink distressed walls, handcrafted wooden tables (made by the owner’s father), lush greenery, and vintage touches make the space feel both lived-in and loved. Whether you sit indoors or on the patio, it feels like a sanctuary for community and creativity. 🪴 The Story Behind It Andrea, the owner, is from El Paso and spent four years selling handmade bottled teas and coffees at local markets — each one named after an activist she admires. She eventually bought the café from Eden Plant Co. and preserved its lush, botanical feel as a tribute to its roots. Every corner tells a story — from the furniture her father crafted by hand, to the menu she thoughtfully developed. Flor y Miel, a multigenerational food concept rooted in Dominican heritage, operates both inside the café and from a stationary food truck on the patio. Their dishes pair perfectly with the drinks and baked goods offered at Las Perras. Their $20 lunch special includes your choice of protein and a side — full of bold, soulful flavor. It’s hearty, affordable, and beautifully complements the overall vibe. 🍵 What I Ordered I tried the oat milk matcha latte with handcrafted banana syrup — and I’m still thinking about it. They don’t charge extra for alternative milks, which is rare and deeply appreciated. They also source from green importers who support micro-lots — small, cooperative-based farms where growers work together. The ambiance is unparalleled. Not a huge rush of people. It's such a beautiful space to relax in and think. It's such an oasis and the drinks are so yummy. Plus it's always the best supporting Latina owned businesses!

I stopped by Las Perras Coffee in Houston’s Second Ward and from the moment I walked in I could feel the laid back vibe that sets this place apart. The scene carries an ease to it, yet it is rich with character. The aesthetic is thoughtful and feels in tune with the history of the neighborhood, like the walls and design are in conversation with the stories of this part of the city. Ashley, the barista, greeted me with warmth and prepared a double shot of espresso that was crafted with care. It was strong, smooth, and became the perfect finish to my visit. That espresso was not just a drink but a detail that tied the whole experience together. What I love most about Las Perras is how it creates space for both stillness and community. You can come here to read, to meet a friend, or just to pause for a moment in your day. It is a place that invites you to slow down and take in the energy of Second Ward. This coffee shop is so cute! Super nice ambiance and the barista was really nice and sweet. Unfortunately their drinks aren’t great :/ Paid almost $20 for two matchas and they were so disappointing and watered down? They tried to mask this by adding more sweetness and it tasted like a watery sugar drink. My sister ordered a chai and same thing. It tasted so watery and had no flavor. The drink size is so small for price you pay as well. Maybe I need to try their coffee instead but wouldn’t recommend as a go to matcha spot.

Very kind staff I loved the decor of the place i felt very welcomed and at home. The coffee is amazing. The taro syrup is SO GOOD! It actually tastes like taro. I LOVE THIS PLACE

I’ve known the owner of LPC since her pop-up market days and aside from her being the best human being on this planet, she has always taken so much pride into her work, her branding, and pouring into the community. LPC is so much more than a coffee shop, it’s a family and community hub! I am not a coffee person, but I have had their matcha, teas, and taro drinks, all of which are delicious, especially the jasmine green tea! The couple coffee bottles I have tried, I have enjoyed, I will say the bottles are a little on the sweeter side (which I enjoy, personally!) The space itself is beautiful and inviting, it’s unbelievable to see how it all came together. I tried the veggie empanadas from Flor y Miel (food truck outside), which weren’t my favorite, but I will definitely try out other items on the menu! All in all, I love Las Perras Café!

These Perras Know Their Coffee!" Okay, first of all--the name alone pulled me in. Las Perras? Iconic. Bold. Spicy. Just like their espresso. This place is not your average hipster coffee shop. From the neon sign that says "Sip Like a P*rra" to the playlist that bounces from Bad Bunny to old-school Selena, the energy here is unmatched. It's like your abuelita's kitchen met a trendy downtown café and they decided to open a business together. I got the café de olla with oat milk (bless them for having dairy-free options that don't taste like sadness), and it was a warm, cinnamon-spiced hug in a cup. Also tried their concha breakfast sandwich--yes, you read that right--and I may never recover. Sweet. Savory. Magic. The staff? Sassy in the best way. They're quick with a recommendation and somehow remember everyone's name by your second visit. Love that for us. Seating is limited, so get there early if you plan to post up for a bit. But whether you're grabbing a to-go cup or sticking around to vibe, Las Perras delivers.

Loved this coffee shop. I stay away from sugary drinks, I prefer strong, good tasting savory coffee. So I really enjoyed this place. Every time I am in town I have to stop for coffee. I always get a lavendar iced latte and a cortado.

Bueno hoy que al fin decidí ir a visitar Las perras cafe , no tuve suerte, ya que hoy no tenían una gran variedad de café, solo tenían cold bru, y drip , porque tenian una baja de fuerza en la electricidad y no podían ofrecer más, y no se si sería por eso, pero no se sentia tan fresco dentro del local , bueno el café que ordene , si estaba rico tenía buen sabor , tienen buen servicio, las personas que me atendieron fueron muy amables , también hablan español el local tiene un aspecto vintage , muy tranquilo, y también ofrecen comida dominicana , espero poder ir a visitar otra vez y tener mejor suerte. Y cambiar la actual reseña .

Got an iced cafe de olla latte and it tasted a bit watered down. Maybe I didn't order the right thing? Will come back in the future to try a different item. Such a cute coffee shop though!

Las Perras cafe has such an amazing aura. As soon as you walk in it feels like a warm hug! I had their banana matcha and it was delicious to say the least! Go try this amazing neighborhood shop!

The atmosphere at Las Perras Cafe is fantastic. There are several different places to sit snd enjoy your coffee. The owner was very welcoming and she patiently explained what the drink I asked about was made. I love cold coffee and ordered the Espresso Mocktini. It was amazing - best cold coffee I've had ever! It's made with dark chocolate and brut cocoa, oat milk and espresso. My daughter ordered the macha latte with oat milk and brown sugar syrup. She said it was the best also and better than Starbucks by far. We are definitely coming back. We're only sad we live so far away, but the hour drive was definitely worth it.

$7.58 for a standard ice vanilla late. Bad parking. Flavor was just ok. I wasn't impressed.
