"Located in the Plant in Second Ward, this new coffee shop celebrates Latin culture with coffee drinks crafted with homemade syrups, many of which are named after activists. Try the Angela Davis (Mexican natural cold brew mixed with jasmine syrup and oat milk) or the Alice Valdez (Colombian cold brew, taro extract, oat milk, and vanilla). The new, cozy, plant-filled spot, ideal for remote workers, is in collaboration with Caribbean food truck Flor y Miel, which serves empanadas, beef stew, and Dominican fusion dishes, such as “Rasta Pasta,” on the patio. The cafe will eventually add alcohol to its menu, but the space already seems pretty lively without it, with live music and community events." - Brittany Britto Garley
