Donut Heaven

Came in with a small group after our soccer tournament and they were really great about accommodating. We had intentions of splitting kids and parents to sit separately bc we knew it wasn'tsuper big inside. They went above and beyond to seat us together (even some of the guests offered to move table). Felt welcomed and kindness from the moment we stepped in. My boys enjoyed the chicken and waffles and it was plentiful for a soccer player. Brought some donuts home and my other kids loved those.

I see this restaurant all the time and just never stooped until this morning. We got the Chicken Biscuit with Egg, and bacon minus the gravy, and plain glazed donuts. Their donuts were fluffy and warm but not too sweet. My mom said the chicken biscuit was delicious. It was huge. Probably enough for two people. We will have to come back for lunch!

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Pearland. Local feel, meals taste made at home. Diverse menu. Love the donut and other baked goods. Wry reasonably priced. What you pay at another fast food spot gets you a well prepared meal here. IMPORTANT NOTE: Avoid busy times. You will be in for extended wait and diminished food quality.

We love coming Sunday mornings. Food is always good and they're great people. We absolutely love Josie!

I ordered the Meaty Trio on a croissant, and it was absolutely delicious! The croissant itself was buttery, flaky, and baked to perfection, which made the whole sandwich shine. The flavors came together really well and left me more than satisfied. The service was excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even better. The only downside? The price tag. At $10 for just a breakfast sandwich, it felt a little steep, even for something this good. Because of that, I can’t quite give it a perfect five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)

April 27, 2024 As always the food is delicious and service is fast, even though it seems to always be busy. There is outdoor seating for those nice Houston days. One of the best parts of coming here is being greeted by, and chatting with, Josie. We of course will be back. December 16 2923 Always fantastic. It’s a little loud but it comes in waves. The counter staff is pleasant and the food comes out in a timely manner. Never disappoints. Photo is from today December 17. Our granddaughter thought this was cool. Breakfast is always yummy and donuts are a staple. 😉 Last review March 2022 We were looking for another breakfast place and found this gem. Came in a Sunday morning and the place was hopping. Even though there was a ‘revolving door’ with take out orders we did not have to wait a long time for our bacon, egg and cheese breakfast tacos. Tacos are tacos but these had real chunks of bacon that you could actually see and taste! Very yummy. We will be back.

First visit was good! Ordered the migas and they were delicious and just the right crispness. Good variety of doughnuts. Got some kolaches To-go for the next morning. Great friendly staff, plenty of inside and outside patio with a cooling mister! Definitely coming back here!

Stopped here for breakfast after Christmas. Everything is delicious and you can taste the quality. Fully covered porch let us eat with our dog. If I lived here I'd come at least weekly.

Peña's is a staple in the Pearland community. They've provided great food, clean environment and super friendly services for years. Their menu is great and the prices are more than reasonable. My family and I visit often.

This location is my go to most weekends simply because of the friendly atmosphere and great customer service. The selection of donuts and kolaches are freshly baked. Most days Josie the owners sister is here. She has such a welcoming gesture always attentive to each customer. I ordered something new today, the veggie breakfast sandwich. It came with a fried egg, spinach, diced tomatoes and button mushrooms and white cheese. The pesto spread slathered on it made all the difference. I chose the croissant for my bread and was sadly disappointed. While they attempted to toast it on the grill, the texture was doughy versus flaky. It ruined the whole sandwich. There was no flaky buttery texture and seemed poor in quality in comparison to most of their bread items. Due to the bustling of the establishment at the time I told a staff member who offered to tell the manager. It's pretty bad when no one walks around to ask how your food tastes. Even as a loyal patron of this lovely spot I still felt uncomfortable addressing my concerns. Simply don't get the croissants they will end up a soggy mess at the bottom of your tray. I appreciate coming here but perhaps it's best to purchase the donuts, kolaches and tasty beverages. I hope they focus more on customer satisfaction versus getting them through the line. This could be one of the best spots in Pearland with a bit more customer interaction.

Love the breakfast tacos and donuts! My favorite is the chocolate glazed but it's only available on the weekends. Staff is friendly and helpful and the food usually comes out quick.

Vibe- This is a nice small business to support! They sell donuts, tacos, and more. They have a nice area to sit outside and a good amount of seating inside. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got flour tacos with potatoes, mushrooms, avocado, and refried beans; they were so good! Parking- There's a good amount of spots in the lot the restaurant sits in.

Love this place! Staff is always patient and pleasant while taking your order. They offer breakfast, lunch and several drink options. Indoor and outdoor seating available but if in a hurry check out the drive-thru! Portion sizes are filling. My food came out fresh and had that homemade taste. I've tried their breakfast sandwich with meat of choice, fried egg and cheese on a buttery croissant. Yum! Check out this hidden gem!

So I live close to Pena's but never really had a chance to check it out. However, I went recently and it was very good! The donuts are big and although there are not a lot of options it had the basics. I thought their kolaches were ok, nothing spectacular and not the best kolache I ever had. However, what I really liked here was the brisket kolache they had and the brisket breakfast sandwich. I really regret not getting those. overall, I'm glad I live near here and will definitely be back.

I was on Nextdoor following a thread about the best burger in Pearland and someone said, Peña's donut heaven... and followed up with yes for burgers! So we went today... hubby had fish and chips and said best around! I had a classic cheeseburger... juicy, seasoned so good, fresh lettuce tomatoes and pickle... homemade bun... fries were seasoned and delicious. Got a full a box for $5 and by did they! Counter service was super friendly and patient and the place was packed! Clean and cozy and busy for a reason. We've already planned our next trip back!

This place is great. I wish I lived near here. It looks like a donut place, but offers much more. I had a bacon cheeseburger 4.5/5. Decent indoor and outdoor seating. The service staff are great.

donuts here are expensive but look at the pictures; apple stuffed and jelly donuts. Very little filling and must have not been made that day as dough was stale and dry. I also bought 2 coffee cups for nostalgia. The first wash both cups lost their emblems. I went back and asked about the issues and all I got was a shrug. Pena's does not resolve customer issues. Not recommended

Donut heaven? Really?! If that's what's expected, then it's definitely heaven on earth once that donut is bitten into....see you there @ donut heaven, because that's exactly what you'll be experiencing

Peña's is a great option for fast on the go food that isn't your typical fast food breakfast option. I love that they have a drive thru for convenience. They have a very extensive menu from donuts, to pancakes, to breakfast tacos. They offer drip coffee and lattes, and juice options. I'd like to give them more than three stars, but the food is just ok to me. Good, but not great.

So yummy and seasoned very well! Everything seems pretty tasty. So many breakfast options and hard to decide!

Something has changed with their donuts. I don't know what it is, but the donuts are not as good as they used to be. They didn't taste fresh at all, and the icing was wet, which I hate.

Was my first time visiting yesterday, and it wasn't the best experience. Although it was busy, I stood at the pick up order line for 10 minutes without any employees acknowledging me. I then had to ask about my order, which had been called in prior to arriving. My food was ready, but no one said anything. I purchased two breakfast burritos, a donut, and a cinnamon roll. The burritos had no flavor, and the cinnamon roll was kind of hard like it had been sitting out.

Excellent food and reasonably priced. Mr. Peña is a donut wizard and you won't be disappointed!

Wish I could have given them a 0 star rating. Ruined my Mother's Day breakfast. DO NOT DO DOOR DASH FOR THIS PLACE!!! I ordered $70 worth of food for me and my kids who wanted a "stay-in" Mother's Day breakfast. After waiting 1 1/2 hours, the driver left 3 donuts and a tea on my doorstep. I called the restaurant. They quickly blamed the driver and told me it was not their problem. The manager was extremely rude. She basically dismissed me with an "oh well" attitude. Then I called the driver and he said they handed the order to him and that was all there was. He refused to go back and get the rest. I finally called DoorDash and they eventually agreed to a full refund. Never will I ever again do business with Pena's. They don't know the definition of customer service. I live 2 minutes away and they could not arrange for the situation to be corrected on Mother's Day. I truly believe it is their fault for handing the driver an incomplete order. Who mistakes 1 little bag and a tea for a $70 order!!!

The only thing better than the donuts is the atmosphere. We went during Christmas and the shop was well decorated. There is a full spread of donut favorites, which made it had to choose. My favorite part was the heart warming interaction between my kids and the owner.

Second time coming and the food is delicious! They're open for breakfast, brunch, and that's what we got. I ordered the ultimate southern biscuit with a fried egg, bacon, and cheese on top of a fried juicy chicken breast. OMGoodness! The Hubs ordered the meat trio on croissant. He subbed ham for extra bacon and extra bacon is what we got!

There literally the best coming out the south side every time I come to this spot it's always love food always comes bomb my kids been coming since there babies they also love this spot the whole team keep doing an amazing job job ‍

A great place to sit and have a bite while reading or simply enjoying the aroma of delicious food. I tried the breakfast sandwich and I honestly wish I ordered another. It was not overly sweet as one would expect but it just simply worked together to form a yummy medley of flavors. The waitress was extremely patient while I looked over the menu and she even offered some suggestions. Great service and great food at a reasonable price!

Have been coming to Pena's since we moved to Pearland - always consistent for breakfast or lunch. Staff are courteous, and portion sizes are generous. You cannot go wrong with the chicken nachos, the bacon cheeseburger or the fried chicken sandwich. All delicious. Happy to patronize this wonderful family establishment

Donut variety heaven. It took me five minutes just to decide on what donuts we wanted to try. The donuts taste were amazing. Their breakfast tacos were delicious. This little shop is just a one stop hit. Delicious delicious delicious.

The guy in the drive through was so nice. He asked me if it was my first time and gave me a free kolache that food was so good I am an fan for life. I owe him a tip. He was cool friendly. And the drive through was fast.

I was looking for a place to get some local donuts and found this place. I saw they had a drive through so of course I went in and I do not know if I missed it but I did not see a a menu anywhere which made it my first time ordering kinda weird . So I went on yelp and quickly had to see what they have to offer. I ordered two pink iced donuts and two chocolate iced cake donuts. The pink donuts were nice thick delicious donuts, the cake donuts were alright they were firmer than what I'm used to but still delicious. Overall they were good donuts and great for the price.

Love Peña's! Their breakfast is always delicious. Customer service is always good and the owners are really nice!! I've never had any issues and we eat here all the time. Even during holiday rush like Mothers Day, Fathers Day and such we still get great customer service!

I've been in Pearland since 2015 and my family and I love Pena's! Family friendly and there is something for everyone here. Thankful to have a sweet spot like this in Pearland.

This place was amazing! I ordered a mushroom burger that came with fries. The burger was huge and it was soo delicious. The fries were crispy and salted the way I like as well. It's a small and causal place. They take your order and pay at the front. I really appreciate the waitresses (I think they may be the owners?), they were very attentive and friendly. I didn't get a chance to try their donuts but they look so appetizing. I definitely recommend this place and would come back!

I went through the drive through for a quick breakfast this weekend because I keep hearing good things about Penas. I tried their breakfast tacos which are labeled small on the menu but they are a pretty good size in my opinion. They are stuffed with ingredients and taste pretty good. I ordered potato egg bean and cheese breakfast taco on flour and the other on corn so I could try them both. I liked each type of tortilla but I think I'm partial to flour. Service was great. The staff were very friendly and answered my questions. I waited maybe 10 -15 minutes after ordering to receive my food but it was very busy. I will definitely go again and check out some of the other popular breakfast menu items. Penas is five minutes from my house, so I can see this being a place I might frequent often.

Every donut, taco and food I have tried there is my favorite!!! If I could eat every meal, everyday, I would!

My family has visited and ordered out from here countless times. Consistently delicious food and friendly service. The donuts are very fresh. My favorite has always been the maple bacon. I also order from thw keto menu (the have a great selection) and I have never been disappointed. My husband's go to is the Ultimate breakfast platter. They also have a unique black pepper bacon that I always get on the side. Very thick cut and delicious. My kiddos love it. They could use some help with their coffee. Lol Final grade: A Definitely one of our usual weekend family breakfast spots.

8 of 10. Good donuts and migas plate. Not the best, but good. I think it's popular because of the TV show, but not worth the 30 minute wait. We will go at off times.

Made a special trip from Deer Park for breakfast this morning. Disappointed that they no longer make the donut I really like and was looking forward to having. The selection in the case was pretty low. Settled for a different one and it was just average and not very fresh. Looked like the donut makers, a male and female, whom we could see through the window were just playing around, talking, and watching customers. Will probably not bother to go out of our way to eat there again.

Dined in this past Friday and actually was seated by the owners. The food was great and a fan of the chicken fried chicken and green beans. It reminds me of my grandmas. Wish the space was bigger, but it's kinda like sitting in your kitchen which is cool. The owners were very pleasant along with the staff. Definitely one of my go to places now.

This place was amazing!! I ordered the Peña's Classic and it was very well cooked. The pancakes were fluffy and not overloaded with chocolate chips or fruit. The sausage and bacon were cooked to perfection as well as my eggs. Always my favorite to order!

Great family owned business, they make great breakfast and donuts and kolaches, their breakfast tacos aren't the best but they are good for the area!

Best donuts Pearland for sure! I can't say say "in Houston" because I haven't tried'em all yet. If you're in shadow creek area you most likely know of this place. But it's worth the drive if you're in Houston. They serve a hearty hot breakfast fresh ingredients daily. Been going here over 15 years!

This place is famous for the cronuts, but they didn't have any by the time I made it there. The donuts were good but nothing great. I did really like the cinnamon roll, we asked them to warm it up first. Other menu items look good, probably worth trying.

I began eating at Pena's Donut Heaven over 3 years ago as a drive-thru customer, which is how I became acquainted w/ Josie, the owner's sister. She usually brought my orders out at which time we'd briefly chat. I always found her to be engaging and full of positive affirmations. On my last visit I called in my typical order: the bacon/egg and cheese breakfast croissant (bacon crispy/egg fried hard w/ provolone cheese). This was also the first time the owner ever took my order. When I arrived he was seated at his normal table beneath the menu board so I said hello. After clarifying that I was the call-in customer he replied, "Oh, so you're the one w/ the difficult order." I didn't see what was so difficult about the same exact order I've previously placed *dozens* of times but okay.‍‍ About 20 minutes later the counter associate brought out my breakfast sandwich, which already felt cold. I removed it from the bag but didn't feel any heat through the foil; unlike the considerable warmth usually felt through the bag when it's served promptly. Realizing that someone obviously forgot to bring it out sooner I patiently waited for Josie to come back inside before politely explaining that my order was not hot. Now instead of offering to correct the problem, she became visibly annoyed before turning to her brother and pleading, "Uuh, Ruben, can you handle this?!" She then stormed off to the kitchen w/out another word. I was actually surprised by her dismissive reaction, but waited for the owner to resolve my issue. However, he tried to play it off by assuring me they don't actually prepare the food until it's ordered. Duuuh! That wasn't even the issue. But how about when an order is somehow overlooked and gets left in the kitchen longer than usual? So instead of offering to simply remake the breakfast croissant he asked if I wanted them to put it in the microwave. Really?! Why tf would I accept such a sorry-a$$ *solution* that: (A) Shouldn't even be necessary for an order I just received or (B) Is something I could actually do myself? It became clear he was only trying to appease me w/ minimal effort. Realizing that would be my last visit I simply left and later discarded the breakfast sandwich. All this time I thought I was a valued customer, but people's actions always demonstrate their disposition.

Go here now. Just not on Saturday between 9-11am. That's my time. My go to breakfast spot. The tacos are a little steep but the ingredients and i don't have to drive too far. I'm alright with that. Variety of foods here/ tacos, donuts, country breakfast, bbq breakfast. Seriously whatever your inner kid wants. I normally go for the tacos but the kolaches I hear are good. You can always find one of the owners in her working on Saturday serving the people with a smile. Oh, another bonus! There's a drive through! Seriously. Anything I want for breakfast AND I don't have to get out the car. I am there!

I love this place! Their barbacoa tacos are phenomenal and not very expensive. Their staff is always friendly and polite. The owner is usually there and will greet you if you sit inside. It's a little small inside, but they make up for this with patio table space. My only concern is that their chocolate icing has a slight metallic taste to it, but everything else is wonderful!

I didn't want to have to go to Pearland, but when I needed to be there early and wanted a great breakfast sandwich, Pena's hit it out the park. Their 3-meat breakfast sandwich on a croissant is probably top 3 breakfast sandwiches in the Houston metro area. The staff are friendly, service is quick, the coffee is great, and it's never too loud inside so it's nice to stay and eat in if you have time. Five stars across the board.

Breakfast at Peña's is amazing whether you're running late and just grab a coffee and an amazingly decadent cronut to start your day off or you have time to experience the best pancake ever with your choice of protein! Their pancakes are better than homemade! Quite frankly they're a real treat!! The breakfast burritos will not disappoint and are perfect for on the go!! They live up to their name!
