The 18 Best Restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky | Eater

"When chef Anthony Lamas brought his farming background and the flavors of his Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage to Louisville in 2005, there was nothing like Seviche in Derby City. Though the culinary scene has grown exponentially since then, his restaurant remains a standout. Ceviche is a highlight, of course, but there’s also the Churrascos de Argentina, Lamas’s version of a meat-and-potatoes plate: skirt steak with chimichurri, served with red potatoes that have been mashed with sour cream, cheddar, white pepper, salt, and butter. If you drive: Parking around Bardstown Road can be a bear, but Seviche offers valet service. Just pull to the right as you turn onto Stevens Avenue." - Lennie Omalza

Where To Celebrate Old Fashioned Week in Louisville | Eater

"With a menu that combines Latin traditions with Southern ingredients, Seviche offers dishes like Kentucky bison empanadas and “Black” cherry ice cream made with vanilla bean crema, bourbon, and cherry puree. For guests who’d rather drink their bourbon, this well-known Louisville restaurant also offers a bourbon list that includes selections that are only available in limited quantities, such as Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, which can be used in an old fashioned for Old Fashioned Week (and beyond.)" - Vox Creative

‘United Tacos of America’ from Austin’s Taco Experts Premieres Tonight | Eater Austin

"It was my first time in Kentucky, and I loved how that mix of Mexican culture and Southern culture just shines through — at Seviche, for example, they made bourbon carnitas that embodied that surprising, satisfying fusion." - Erin Russell

Pike Place Market’s Southern Brunch Charmer Is Gone | Eater Seattle

"I was disappointed to learn that, after a little more than a year in business, the well-received Southern restaurant Cycene has closed; owner-chef Hassan Chebaro and his wife Patsy Williams decided to move back to Kentucky. They opened in November 2016 serving Southern-inspired breakfast, brunch, and lunch centered around sandwiches and grits bowls, and their fare was received warmly by critics." - Megan Hill

Anthony Lamas’s long-running institution merges Latin technique with Kentucky produce — think pristine ceviches and churrascos. A repeat James Beard semifinalist and newly refreshed on Eater’s 2025 map, it remains a Louisville essential.

The evening was amazing. Our table was ready when we arrived. The drinks were brought to the table in secret for a celebration toast. The food was amazing, had a great presentation and the taste was out of this world. I would highly recommend Seviche for any special occasion!!

Seviche restaurant is a long standing Louisville landmark from decades now. We recently rediscovered it during a friends and family dinner. We were able to get in pretty easily, and the valet parking made it easy to get in and out for only five dollars. The host was gracious and sat us at a round table by the window overlooking Bardstown Road. We started with several appetizers, including ceviche, mussels, and dumplings. All were absolutely delicious. One of us ordered the fish, one street tacos, someone ordered the beef and we all shared. I thought the salmon was cooked perfectly and had an amazing sauce and flavor. The service was on point and super attentive. She was solid with wine knowledge as we ordered a bottle to share. I think everyone should revisit.Seviche since it is a classic among all the dozens of new restaurants popping up everywhere. I absolutely adored our dinner here and will come back soon.try for yourself.

The food was amazing. I had the skirt steak. It was so juicy and flavorful. The potatoes were nice and creamy. Our server was great! Always checking on us, clearing dirty dishes and bringing new silverware that was needed. Overall, it was a great experience.

My absolute favorite restaurant for 1,000 miles. Always surprised with their blending or meshing of items to create a new and excellent dish. Their gazpacho was already the best ever made until they served me the watermelon gazpacho. OMG. The server Layne (sp?) was better than perfect. You need to go there now and often.

We attended the Pirates of the Caribbean dinner and movie. It was so fun! 10/10, no notes. Such a great idea, thank you Seviche! Keep them coming, we will be back!

I’ve been to Seviche several times, but the food and service have declined tremendously. Today, we had the calamares, which was good, but the quality of the main course was beyond disappointing. We ordered two Churrascos de Argentina, and the meat was poorly prepared. I mentioned that it was far from what we requested and the second time it seemed like the chef intentionally served it rare after the complaint. This is unacceptable. If you’re looking for good food, stay away from Seviche. There are much better restaurants in town.

It's easy to see why Seviche A Latin Restaurant is a Louisville favorite. It's one of my new favorite places now, too. The steaks and scallops were deliciously devine!! The service, the drinks, the beautiful outdoor patio... all 👌 👌
