Marinara Pizza

Best pizza in Plano, and it's not even close. We have been ordering Marinaras for years and they have only improved with the new Sicilian crust option. Veggies are always very fresh, and the marinara and alfredo sauces have excellent flavor. The stromboli is also fantastic!

Decent pizza and sandwiches. Ok pastas. Had the side salad and lasagna. Simple salad is good. The lasagna was ok. Calzones and Stromboli have been good in the past. Guys like the subs.

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and when I moved to Texas one of the things I missed was good tasting pizza… in fact whenever I visited NY I always ate pizza and if I had room in my bag I would bring back couple of slices.. I don’t have to bring back pizza from NY ANYMORE.. this pizzeria has definitely captured the local pizza taste of Brooklyn… especially when it’s extra crispy/well done! Try it if you like authentic Brooklyn pizza.

This place is legit - good NY pizza. I grew up in the 5 boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Manhattan) eating good NY pizzas. When I left NY, 2 things I missed the most are good bagels and pizzas. Marinara Pizza resolved one of them for me. Every time I have a pizza craving, I get my favorite from Marinara's - meatball pizza. I eat one large pie by myself :) and share the other with my kids (if they are around).

Absolutely horrible. Pizza was mostly crust, skimpy with toppings and was undercooked with nothing in the middle being solid and everything falling off and messy. Taste was bland and with only the rare topping bearing any flavor. $20 for garbage. One of the unfortunately many places that demands a tip BEFORE you get your order, and I begrudgingly gave a tip and still received unsatisfactory service and food. Tried to get the staff attention on something and was ignored. Place is dirty and not cleaned up after others. Never go to this place.

This pizza was awesome! I went in just knowing I wanted some good pizza but unsure of which to get. And I wanted to try a Brazilian for the first time. This beautiful young lady, Petra, helped ease my indecision. She told me all the best recommendations based on what I liked. I ended up getting a half Brazilian (chicken w/a cheese sauce) and half Magherita. It was perfect and so glad she helped. Definitely will be going back. Well worth it.

We were looking to try a new pizza place and one that was close to where we play basketball. Was not expecting a lot from this place as we’ve never heard from it but we were pleasantly surprised! Food: We got 2 slices of pizza. They were HUGE! It was like getting a medium pizza at other places. We got one slice of meat lovers and one slice of all the toppings. Both were delicious. The meat one seemed to have gyro meat and might even be Halal but either way it was delicious. We got it to go but it was still crispy when we got home. One of the best pizza slices I’ve had in a while. Way better than any pizza chain. Price: $3 a slice but it’s almost 2 large slices so it’s a really good deal. 2 slices is definitely enough for one person. Atmosphere: Small and cozy but it’s a typical pizza place in Dallas. It’s clean though. Inside is a little dark but perfect for a date! Service: The cashier was nice and the food came out in about 5 minutes. No complaints. Overall, We would come back here again and recommend to anyone looking for delicious pizza at great prices.

For years and years we been going here for high quality Italian food. This place never disappoints, even late at night. Pizza is true NY style and folds well. Stromboli and lasagna delicious favorites too. If I were to suggest changing anything about this place, it would be the old fashioned drink machine with just 6 options. I mean come on, Freestyle has been out for years now. Step up your beverage game!

We haven't been here for a while and it sounded good, so we came here to eat in. PB wanted big pizza, so he can eat the rest later and the crust for the doggie babies. I ordered garlic knots(they have the best garlic knots)and baked Ziti. It's located off US 75 N Central Expy and Chisholm Trail next to Del Ray Coffee(good coffee)and it's pretty spacious inside. The gentleman who helped us ring up was very nice and kind. They bring your food to your table. My pasta was hot and tasty and PB's pizza was good, but he wanted more sauce and cheese, so he said he'd ask more sauce and cheese next time. We love this place as they have the best NY style pizza and their desserts are very good as well. We will def return again soon.

AMAZING PIZZA BY THE SLICE!!!! My boyfriend and I are new to the area and decided to try this pizza restaurant on New Years Day. The pizza is wonderful and delicious. Some of the best pizza we have had. Will definitely be eating here again. Stop in and give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Ordered a Caesar salad with Caesar dressing they gave me ranch dressing and the ranch isn't even good. It's nasty totally ruined the salad why can't people read a freaking ticket is beyond me!

Omg this pizza is INSANELY good. We tried it on a whim tonight and ordered to go, and it's seriously some of the best pizza I've ever had. It was so good I wrote this review while driving home after being unable to resist eating some in my car. They deserve to be way busier than they are. Give them a shot guys. The food is so well priced and delicious. 20/10

The Pizza here is the closest to New York style Pizza in Plano and their 14 inch hot sub sandwiches are the best In the metroplex The secret is out now !!

Bad phone connection when we phoned from our car, but we still got the order in. Clean inside, tons of strip mall parking located in a somewhat dying strip mall. Employees were friendly, and pizza was made fast. I'd rate our pizza a 7 of 10...a little underbaked and topping distribution was uneven. I'd give them another try but they won't be my Plano go to pizza spot. 22 bucks and change for an 18 inch all meat pizza. See my pics.

Had delivery last night and could not finish all the food. Delicious and big portions. Delivered hot! Loved everything. We tried three different pasta dishes with three different salads and three different desserts! We look forward to trying their pizza next time!

A great spot for pizza, a real hidden gem in Plano. Came for the food and kept coming back because the service, and food of course too. Cool New York ambiance as well!

I went as a group of three on a Tuesday night for dinner! The restaurant is located on a relatively small strip of stores, and two doors down from a gym. We ordered the following: 1. Calzone 2. 18" Supreme pizza 3. Chicken Florentine specialty pasta (spaghetti) The menu is listed on the wall, facing the open kitchen/oven, and you order at the front (which is to the left of the restaurant). A worker will brings your food out as it's ready, so each dish comes out fresh. It seems like a mom and pop shop, which I'm a huge fan of - the workers there are SO kind and attentive. I didn't have a picture of the supreme pizza, but holy moly was that good and MASSIVE. Our group's favorite was the chicken Florentine pasta, so wonderfully made and creamy. There aren't a ton of reviews on the pasta here, but do not sleep on the pasta!! The calzone was loaded with ingredients, and it came with a side of marinara sauce. The portions are massive, but the quality is also equally as great, so it is most definitely worth it. There was way too much food for three of us (we were ambitious, and with the amount of food we had leftover, it easily last someone 4-5 meals. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Huge portions for a great price. Bread is homemade and so is the sauce. Very tasty! I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and my friend had the calzone. Neither of us could even come close to finishing them.

Food was great! First time going and we weren't sure if ordering 2 pizzas would be enough for us but the portions were huge! And the place was nice and clean. Pizza was amazing 10/10 definitely recommend.

Great pizza and super crunchy just like I like it! The guy that's always there has a smile and a very welcoming spirit. The inside of the restaurant is decent too and always have cool brasilian music playing. Highly recommend!

The taste is amazing- if you catch them in a good day. The quality is STILL very hit or miss. Sometimes the crust is almost burned. Often the toppings are all in the middle. And as ours was just now, very, very skimpy on the cheese- as in two inches from the edge there was hardly any, and there was a little more in the center. We keep coming back, but it's getting rarer and rarer. The tiramisu is great, as are the Italian Cream Cake and Lemoncello cake. BTW: that is the tiniest piece of lemocello cake I've ever gotten from them. It was $4.50. And

Hidden Gem! First time trying this place me and my husband are celebrating 1yr and 3 months together.customer service was amazing, food was very affordable and tasted better than Olive Garden hands down! wasn't crowded either and wall art is amazing. Will definitely be coming back I got fettuccine Alfredo with fried chicken that came with garlic knots and my husband got the calzone, we both didn't finish our meal but we're completely satisfied with our choices.

They do a really great job with everything here! Great setting to stop by on a quick lunch break.

I've been back a couple more times and the pizza is consistently excellent. Get the pizza, not the pasta. Especially good here are the white pizza and the Margherita and they'll let you do half and half to try both. For this, it's easily the best in the metroplex.

We happened in during a huge family party taking up the whole restaurant. Fortunately we were able to score a booth by time our food was ready. There is a significant Brazilian influence - they even have Brazilian Pizza - but their traditional pizza is New York style and we ordered the Pepperoni to play it safe. We also ordered Garlic Knots. We are from Chicago where pizza is kind of our thing, so we were leery of Plano Pizza -- but Marinara got it right! The pizza dough, sauce, and pepperoni were tasty and the garlic knots were EXCELLENT - cooked thoroughly inside and not overcooked outside. We definitely will return next time in Plano to break up the meat scene everywhere.

Been ordering from these guys for years. Just finished eating a Calabresa with Catupiry!!! They never disappoint! The dough is awesome! The sauce is awesome! The cheese, the toppings all just perfect!

Have gone to this place 2 times in 4 days and brought family who was visiting as well. Wings were excellent. Pizza is outstanding authentic NY style. Everything is fresh and piping-hot. Can't recommend enough. The owner is extremely friendly, cares about his product and takes price in the quality of the food. Highly recommend the wings, Margarita pizza, Kalamata olives, or just the classic NY style cheese.

I placed an order one day in advance for six pizzas and a 1/2 pan of garden salad for an office lunch. The food was ready on time and it was delicious! Everyone loved it!

Pizza was okay. Crust was a little over cooked on one of our our pizzas. I read good reviews on the garlic knots but we did not enjoy them at all, little garlic flavor and an overwhelming amount of .. oregano? Staff was very friendly and food was ready in a timely manner. We will go back and again to see if this may have just been a bad day.

Ordered a Meatball Sub and Fettuccine Alfredo. They were both delicious and large portions for the price. The sub was huge! Service was good and delivery on time. Delivered hot! I ordered online and it never went through. Got an error message twice trying to order. Make your order by calling.

This place is awesome. Let me tell YOU why. They have a BRAZILIAN Pizza menu option. Mic drop. My husband is from Brazil. We have many a tries at Brazilian eateries with some hit and miss.. But this place is mwah! We discovered it when I was 41 weeks and 4 days overdue and was in major duress. Enter hole in the wall pizzaria. My baby didn't come at the time, but it filled something that was empty. Authentic toppings like catupiry (my fav! Order this stuff if you've never experienced it you're in for a treat). Think elevated cream cheese. People often try to pass off cream cheese for it to cut a cost, but NO theirs is legit! Calibresa - the real stuff! Sausage that is the sausage you'd taste in Brazil. Dessert pizzas. Pizza portuguesa. It's got it all! You need this place in your life. You don't need southlake's trumped up charged one. You need this one. Like yesterday.

Not sure what happened. We order from this place quite frequently. This time around the dough, which was the selling point originally, was dry and bland. The wings were obviously over cooked and dry. I commented to my husband that they tasted like jerky. On top of it all we waited an additional 40 minutes for the order to arrive. Very disappointed. Don't mess with what works!

Worst pizza ever. I had been a huge fan, exclusively ordered from Marinara's. Changed up my order, large veggie and other half pineapple. Very VERY soggy crust, sauce was not spread on pizza, cheese ok, toppings were way overloaded..too much globbed on. No flavor.

Great pizza we usually get the pepperoni Sicilian. Pretty good time wise also. Can get busy on weekends.

Yummy pizza except...this is the 2nd time I bit down on a hard piece of what may be part of an olive pit? Not sure. A few years back I stopped going to this restaurant for that reason as well as biting on a hard plastic piece . What are the odds that this happened again a few years later? I get hangry often and my comfort food is New York Style pizza. There is something about pizza with Sauce, Cheese, and crispy crust. I was craving pizza and came across Marinara in Plano. It's one of the highest rated pizza joints near my work. One weekday in the afternoon, I was committed to trying this place out. I placed my order for a small pizza with three additional toppings. Make a note that it's $1 for any additional toppings depending on the size of the pizza. My favorite pizza is one with Sausage, Mushrooms, and black olives. From the time I placed my order to the time they were calling my name it was about 25-30 min. The pizza is good and will satisfy any pizza cravings.

My wife n I stopped in for a slice. this place was my favorite several years ago. At the time the owner showed me san marzano tomatoes they use and told me how he learned pizza making in longisland. today was not the same pizza. we were the only 2 in the place and asked for our slices well done. they came out warm. slices were not even heated up to re-melt the cheese. my wife could not eat her slice. it looked like black mold in the cheese. it had a gray tone. Barstool would rate it at a 3 since the guy behind the counter did not know how to reheat pizza. I bet the house this is not the same owner from several years ago. Forbthe best pizza in metroplex its the Tom Thu b frozen store brand thincrust.

Mediocre pizza and price not equal to level of quality. Not bad, just not great and with so many choices pizza should be more outstanding.

We wanted pizza, but had been disappointed the last few times I was visiting family in Plano. I found Marinara Pizza on Yelp and was impressed by the reviews, prices and the large menu. I ordered a large, thin-crust cheese pizza with half meatballs and half plain, garlic rolls with extra marinara sauce and cannoli for dessert. The order arrived sooner then expected and we all enjoyed the excellent, New York-style pizza (even my finicky granddaughter. The garlic rolls were excellent, but the 'piece de resistance' was the cannoli. As good as any Italian Bakery in NYC. Marinara's Oizza is definitely on my Plano, TX Dining Guide.

It's a small, nothing fancy little local place, and it takes a while for the food to come out. HOWEVER, the food is really, really tasty. The baked ziti is super yummy, and the meatball sub is one of the best I have ever had. I am from CT, and we have amazing meatball subs/grinders in CT. So, it takes a pretty great sub for me to give out a compliment like that.

As a new Texan, I was overwhelmed by the amount of food. I ordered online an 18 inch Supreme Pizza and a side of Mozz Sticks. The order arrived 15 minutes early than the estimated time and that was when I knew I was in for a treat. The pizza was AMAZING! From the quality of the dough to the toppings they knocked it out of the park! Mozz sticks were equally tasty and filling (They even added an extra marinara sauce cup which was a much appreciated bonus). This was a great experience. Special thanks to the cooks/chefs that made this amazing meal possible. I appreciate it. I would recommend anyone to give this place a try. The food is THAT good.

I like this pizza, but I don't love it, and I would nara mari it. I mean never marry. Never mind. Bad one. I really wanted to like this place a lot more than I did because the guys in here were really nice, and served me a massive slice for a decent price really late at night when I didn't expect them to. The only problem is that the pizza wasn't really my favorite. It was pretty good but it tastes a little bit like Dominos or something so definitely not the best that I've ever had. But in Dallas I think that is about the standard so they get 4 stars for being really cool guys. There is an amazing place around here for pizza though, but this one is far from awful.

This place is a legit pizza place! The pizza is a 5 star just on its own!! It's labeled as a classic New York style pizza place and they definitely hit the mark! The pizza is freshly made, huge, delicious, and they make they own marinara sauce!!! You can tell how fresh it is if you order the garlic knots, they give you dipping marinara with it and boy it's delicious! If the garlic knots by themselves are amazing! I plan on going back to try their pasta and their meatball sandwich because I have been craving an authentic one lately! The inside looks very New York style, quant and typical pizza place decor. Next door there is an old school gym which adds to the New York grimy feel, the cheese is refrigerated, oil is left out if you want to add oil to your food, Honestly even if this place had no customer service I still would've given it a five on the strength of the pizza and price! Definitely a must go if you are a pizza lover!

When we first moved to Plano, we read their reviews and were delighted with their pizza. Recently however, service declined when we ordered, we're told a wait time & would show to pick up and I'd still wait another 20 minutes. It got even worse and I'd arrive to pick up and my order was all but forgotten or not even in the oven. Then I'd get a pizza with the items thrown on, not spread evenly around the pie. A shame. They have a good tasting product but, seemed to have lost interest in delivering it in a timely manner, if at all.

This is the ONLY place that comes close to authentic New York pizza! We used to drive all the way from Prosper to eat here! The BEST!

I finally found a good tasting pizza ! Lived here two months and could not find one. The locals suggest papa john Fresh dough with good flavor. Genuine Italian sausage vs those gross little balls. Garlic knots have great flavor. I'll be back

Marinara's Pizza just knocked my other favorite pizza joint in Plano out of first place. I never thought that would happen! This place is amazing. The pizza is the star in my opinion, although I have had other dishes there also and they are equally worth every penny. I love that the pizza is New York style with a delicious crust. All the ingredients are fresh and if you like italian sausage on your pizza, it is shaved strips that are the bomb. Where else can you purchase a huge 18" pizza (think "Friends") for less than 20 bucks?? Especially one that is not skimpy on the toppings. Their delivery is very reasonable and their drivers are very nice and polite. My newest love. Try it...You WILL NOT REGRET IT!.

Their calzone with ricotta cheese and mozzarella (and other additions, such as garlic and spinach) is delicious. Or, it can be ordered in the pizza format.
