Fabulous experience, one of the best table we ate at this year in Montreal. Patrice and Marie-Josée offer amazing food and service, it’s hard to believe it’s just the two of them! Plates are elevated, original and delicious. Price is extremely honest as well, 100% worth the struggle to get a reservation :)

Amazing place. We were lucky to book it. Trying all these chef-d’œuvres from local products was a great experience. I wouldn’t like to evaluate the service because the restaurant is running by only 2 people, so you must inevitably understand the time it takes to serve 14 people. Imagine it your are doing yourself and your wife. Even you are great in it. Not easy. I didn’t understand some taste pairings like grilled cucumbers with lobsters, in my opinion cucumbers do not benefit at all but the rest of the menu was really perfect. Pistachio ice cream parfait is a killer dessert. Cocktails are strong and good. Wine pairing also good. Thanks for the experience

Amazing experience! I managed to book for the tea experience, and it was great. The tea pairing with the desserts was well done. We especially loved the cheesecake and brioche! I wanted more. Definitely recommend it if you can get a reservation.

Super nice afternoon tea experience! Different from other afternoon tea I’ve been, you don’t choose the tea. Instead the tea was paired with each course. I loved the fact that I got to try different kinds of tea. And they paired well with each dishes :) Will definitely come back to try the dinner too!

I have been a big fan of Patrice since being a regular at his patisserie, so we tried months to get one of the few reservations. I expected the desserts to be amazing, but it was genuinely one of the best tasting menus and wine pairings I've ever had. I can't wait to try the afternoon tea.

I wanted to like Sabayon more than I actually did. Especially since you have to book one of their 14 spots a month ahead of time. Even more because I LOVED the bakery they had years ago. So when we arrived to this intimate restaurant, after looking forward to this reservation for a month, I was really excited. The food was good - some courses (the mushroom broth and foie starter) were better than others (the beef cheeks that seemed reminiscent of dishes I’ve had many times before), and the back to back ice cream desserts, and a chocolate covered ice cream to finish, was just one too many cold desserts for me. The thing I both appreciated at the beginning but saw its detriment toward the end of the meal was this: Sabayon is run only by two people, that’s it. So while it’s an incredible feat - not easy by any means - it did mean that the service dragged on just a little longer than we liked. We had to wait on 12 other people we were not dining with to finish so that we could all move on to the next course. What that meant was that we were too tired, and full by the last savoury course to really want, much less enjoy the dessert courses.
