"For an energetic, fast-paced dim sum experience, Saigon Seafood Harbor has you covered. With multiple carts circulating the restaurant, guests find it easy to get their desired dim sum in a prompt manner. Classics like siu mai and har gow are certainly popular picks, but the chewy and crispy sesame balls filled with red bean paste are also very popular. The BBQ pork buns come in both steamed and baked varieties, while the curd skin rolls come with a generous amount of shrimp stuffed into light and crispy pieces of fried tofu." - Cathy Park

This place is definitely popular—we saw a long line out the door. Luckily, we went around late lunchtime and only waited about 15 minutes. Just a heads-up: they don’t seat people strictly in order. It seems they go by group size, so your wait time may vary. The food itself was excellent—flavorful, fresh, and lived up to the hype. However, the dining experience left a lot to be desired. The noise level inside was overwhelming. It was so loud that we could barely hold a conversation, which made it hard to enjoy our meal, especially since we were catching up with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Another downside was the service style. Staff constantly pushed food carts around and were very insistent about us ordering more—even when we said we were fine and still had plenty of food left on the table. It felt disruptive and a bit too aggressive, breaking up our conversation multiple times. While the food was great, the atmosphere was chaotic and not ideal for a relaxed meal. It’s also on the pricey side—we paid around $130 for four people. I might consider takeout next time to enjoy the food without the stress.

The atmosphere was very nice and the food was very authentic! Started with octopus and jellyfish which was very chewy and tasty! The chow mein was yummy too! I personally loved the fried oysters and definitely recommend it! Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Google
The dim sum here is fresh and hot straight off the carts. I particularly love all the seafood items, and although a lot of the staff doesn't speak English they still are helpful and try their best to explain the different dishes. The restaurant is clean but always packed, so be prepared to wait a while if you come at peak dimsum time on weekend mornings. The dining room area is very noisy due to the crowds, but it's not any different from any other dim sum restaurant.

Ordered Half Roasted Duck, average standard not as before over sauces nothing to shout about Omg.Doubled Ginseng soup was a failure. Steamed whole fish is not as expected standard but pricey. Lastly chicken fried with Kai Lan was sub par standard than take away from Pandan Express. What a disappoint dinner tonight. Never to revisit again

On Father’s Day (6/15), I went to this restaurant with my family — we were a party of 3 — and we spent a total of $138.48+tips $13 = 151.48! Our meal included dim sum, 1 order of fried rice, and 1 additional dim sum to take home. When I went to pay, the cashier handed me the receipt and I chose to pay by credit card. The suggested gratuities were 15% or $20, but honestly there was barely any service to justify a large tip. The only person who provided any service at all was the female boss, who packed up our leftovers and helped us order the fried rice. The cashier made a comment in Mandarin, stating that my tip was less than 10%. I was surprised because gratuities are supposed to be optional and reflect the service we received. Nevertheless, I crossed out the $10 tip and chose to leave $13 instead. The service fell far below what I’d consider reasonable. The cashier herself hadn’t greeted us upon entering, hadn’t gone around with a dim sum cart, and hadn’t provided any service aside from printing the receipt. It felt unfair and unprofessional for her to pressure me to pay more when the service simply hadn’t been there. The restaurant should reassess its training and policy. Tips should reflect service — not a set amount dictated by the cashier — and employees should be reminded to treat diners with fairness and respect. Furthermore, it might be worth reconsidering whether automatic suggestions or pressure from the cashier are appropriate, especially when service falls short of expectations. Not going back to this restaurant anymore for dine in is not worth it!

This place has been around for ages so I originally didn't feel the need to review. I loved this place as a kid and wanted to eat here for my birthday occasionally. Later on, my coworkers liked to come here for lunch. The food was going downhill at the time but the place was famous for their taro buns, which my boss usually tried to go for. The service is so slow here, he used to grab the plates and chopsticks from that wooden shelf himself. What I like about this place is that they have a dim sum menu that lists some platters that are not available on the carts, like the surfer clam mifen, xo rice cakes, fried turnip cakes, and some special desserts (fried almond pudding). All that is missing is a sticky rice chicken. The workers are pretty rude and they prefer you to order from their carts for obvious reasons. The managers are quite perfunctory as well. You know, the norm for dim sum places in the bay. But don't let that deter you because there is a great variety of dishes and it has been coming out hot the last two times I went.

Google
Taste :4.6/5 Environment: 4.1/5 Service:4.1/5 Saigon Seafood Harbor at Sunnyvale is the real deal when it comes to authentic Dim Sum in NorCal., they have traditional Dim Sum carts rolling right up to your table for you to pick and choose from. It's like a delicious! The variety of Dim Sum options is seriously impressive. From steamed dumplings to fluffy buns, every dish make you feel like you are in HK and worthy for the price 😊

Judy Y.

Yelp
Great dimsum place in the South Bay Area. You know it's good because 30 min after opening on a Saturday the whole restaurant is full and it's a pretty big restaurant. They have an extensive menu! I really like the concept of dim sum because you can see what you like and ask for it. Love it. And you share with your table. All the items I tried were good. I was super happy with how they have soup dumplings and they tasted pretty good! I would come here again. There was a parking of in front and we didn't have any issues finding parking

Yelp
Saigon Seafood Harbor is one of the OG dim sum places in South Bay and I've been coming here since I was a kid. It has all the classic dim sum dishes (pushed around on carts) and does them well. They also have an extensive menu besides dim sum items. There's no wait on the weekdays but be prepared to wait on weekend mornings. The tableware can be dingy and the restaurant is loud with no frills, but food is solid. Overall, 3.5/5. Rounded up to 4 for being a consistent spot for the past ~20 years.

Tianhui Y.

Yelp
A good brunch spot for traditional dimsum. They serve the dishes via rolling carts and you select the dishes you want. I particularly enjoyed the chicken feet and deep fried sticky rice dumplings. I wasn't the biggest fan of the pork feet as I found it a bit too sour. Note: there might be a language barrier with the servers if you don't speak Mandarin nor Cantonese.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Saigon seafood Harbor is my spot for dim sum in the bay. I always go a little bit beforehand just to make sure there's not too many people waiting in line because this place can be popping. Has the standard regular dim sum food. The hargow is kind of thick dough but still tasty. The xiu mai is really good there. The standouts here are the taro bun and the baked barbecue pork buns. They are so soft and delicious and he can definitely devour two plates at once. I would recommend the spot and will always be by

Yelp
Walked in for a Friday lunch and got a table right away. However, instead of the usual dim sum experience where the cart ladies practically beg you to take their food, I had to tap the on ladies to get them to stop with their carts and get food!! Weird!! The char siu bao was a disappointing: bland and boring, both for the char siu inside and the bun outside. The fried tofu is my childhood favorite and still favorite today. I could eat them for days. Shao mai was good too - juicy and flavorful. The turnip cake needed oyster sauce but was still good. The pork (pai gu) was just fat and bone--definitely skip next time. Lots of shrimp dishes overall compared to other dim sum places. I was curious to try the seafood truffle fried rice (special order), but I was way too full. Next time, maybe? Ambiance: not too loud for a Friday lunch but I know on weekends it gets loud. Prices are average for the area. Will probs be back as it's an Asian family staple in the area. I've been coming here for like 20 years.

Shellie H.

Yelp
One of the better dim sum restaurants in the area. I usually order To-go from here when back in town. They are fast when you call in. Weekends dining in can take awhile for seating and not the most attentive service. But it's typical. Overall, love this place.

Eva C.

Yelp
This place used to be my family's favorite dim sum spot in the Bay Area, but sadly, it's not what it used to be. We visited for the first time since COVID, and it's clear that things have changed. Before, there was always a crowd outside, especially on weekend mornings, but now it seems like the popularity has really dropped off. And unfortunately, so has the quality. The food was pretty mid overall, and some of our favorite items are no longer available. They used to have this delicious fried shrimp wrapped around a sugarcane stick, but it's gone from the menu. Same with the tofu dessert. On top of that, prices have gone up. However, their salty egg yolk bun is still better than most places probably. Overall, though, it was a disappointing visit. Not sure we'll be rushing back anytime soon.

Yelp
We were looking for a new staple dim sum spot in the South Bay, since my all-time fav is a bit of a drive away in the East Bay. After some searching on Yelp, we landed on Saigon Seafood Harbor. They have the classic dim sum carts here, which gave a nostalgic feeling immediately when walking in. They have your standard dim sum offerings: our go-to's are the chicken feet, siu mai, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and fried shrimp balls. I think this place hits the spot, but the taste and quality wasn't anything too extraordinary. We were in and out in a matter of 20-30 minutes, as service was quick. The custard buns here are great, definitely grab them if you visit!

Sylvie D.

Yelp
The quality of this place has really gone down over the last decade. Some of the dishes are still solid (no BS) like the shrimp rolls for example. However, the cleanliness of this place is quite questionable. The service isn't all that great either. We ordered one order of everything, but for the siu mai, they brought out two even though we marked "1" on the menu, which was still on our table. They denied it, and I just let it go because the siu mai are good anyway and didn't mind two orders. Price: $62 + tax + tip for about 6-7 dishes. Overall, we probably wouldn't come back mainly because of the lack of cleanliness of the place.

Dev R.

Yelp
Ridiculously good dim sum. Awesome with a big group! Go to spot for several close friends who have eaten dim sum their whole lives. Efficient service, would recommend ordering off the menu or coming in with a set of dishes you want to get! Some favorites: - xiao long bao - chicken feet

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. Saigon had been my favorite dim sum spot 15 years ago, and I recently re-visited it with my mom and aunt. Location and decoration-wise, nothing has really changed during this time. However, I noticed a marked decrease in the number of customers. Or maybe it had something to do with the fact that we were dining there at lunch on a Monday. The food itself was solid. The flavors are slightly bolder and more savory than I remember, as I prefer a subtler spin to dim sum dishes and letting the handiwork of the delicacy speak for itself. Two dishes stood out: the shao mai and the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves. The others were just okay, in my opinion, squaring up to other average dim sum joints. Service was super quick and offered via off-the-cart style. The bill was surprisingly high for what it was, in my opinion. Will I be returning to this restaurant? Perhaps only when I'm feeling particularly nostalgic.

Young Y.

Yelp
I came here with my family and really liked the food. I'm not sure what all the dishes are called in English since we ordered in Chinese, but the flavors were superb. My favorite were the duck, the beef and mushroom, and best of them all - the fried oysters. The fried oysters were fried in a nice batter with some little bit of Sichuan / Hunan like spices. The oysters were soft and juicy but crunchy on the outside. The beef and mushrooms had a sweet and savory flavor, and beats the fake Shanghai angus steak from Panda Express all day any day . The flavors were authentic. Service was nice, pretty good and standard. The place is pretty spacious and nice, and decent ambiance for a family dinner.

Jon Z.

Yelp
This place came very positively recommended by multiple sites/people that I have heard from, and we were craving dim sum so we recently finally tried it. Overall it was very good! The restaurant and food are very authentic. I will however say that I do feel like it was fairly expensive compared to some other dim sum places I have been to. Still very good but I would also like to try some other restaurants in the area just to compare and find the place I like the most!

Lloyd C.

Yelp
A nice large restaurant that can accommodate large parties, groups of people, or small intimate parties. Dim Sum is served daily during lunch hours. But Cantonese/HK style dishes are readily available all day for dine in or takeout. The food is good and authentic. Live seafood is displayed in their fish tanks. They used to have a Chinese bbq station in the back, but it is no longer there.

Dian M.

Yelp
As with all authentic Chinese restaurants, the service is on par with that. Don't be shy about sticking your hand up in the air and flagging down a cart pusher, or somebody who can put in a special order for you. Dim sum at this place is pretty decent, most of the time the items at dim sum are steamed just right, but once in a while, something is over steamed... Usually the over steamed ones are the translucent wrapper-types like har gao. If you're looking for more vegetables, especially the leafy type, you'll need to put an order in with the waiter. Otherwise all you have is the Chinese broccoli option on the carts. Save a bit room for their special dessert ... baked taro buns, and also the custard buns with the yellow-lava filling. You might have a major sugar buzz I'm trying all the desserts, but it's worth it!

Arthur H.

Yelp
Delicious! Just like my childhood! I haven't been back for over 10 years, and it's still busy on a weekend morning. The classic dim sum cart experience is still here. The cart ladies gave fast service and the food was fresh and hot. If you don't know the item, just ask, point and choose and it'll be ready at your tables, no waiting needed. The chili oil, soy sauce, and red vinegar are on each table. The interior design was nice. We got: * chicken feet * sui mai * fried shrimp balls * stuffed bean curds * rice noodles with shrimp * tripe It's definitely on the pricier side but it's a good experience every once in a This is a good ambiance for family and friends. I'll definitely come back. Tips: if you want something from the menu and it's not in the carts, show a photo to the servers and they'll bring it to your table! It's best to arrive in the opening hour (10 AM) to not wait.

Aisling S.

Yelp
4.5 stars. Dim sum review only. Our favorite dim sum place in the area! We have been here many times and I will say their food is a bit inconsistent, every time we go there is at least one dish that is amazing, but also one dish that was not as good as last time. Particularly I find the xiao long bao, siu mai, and beef ball the most inconsistent, but sometimes the dessert sesame balls is not great as well. When you get the dishes at their finest and freshest they are one of the best! Favorites include the taro buns, steamed pork buns, Siu Mai, egg custard buns, and sesame buns. Food: 5/5 but sometimes 4/5. Service: 3/5 They do come by often and you never have to ask for more tea, but they are often all over the place. They sometimes get confused if you order something that isn't ready on the cart. Ambiance: 4/5 The place can accommodate large parties. Larger tables sit 8 people easily. they are always busy, even on a weekday for lunch. If you go on the weekend go right at 10am when they open to get a spot and not wait long. I find the busyness too much for me to be a very pleasant meal, but it's part of the experience.

Amy T.

Yelp
The service used to be terrible OR I have gotten numb to their abuse. Either way, I keep coming back for their food. My favorite restaurant to get dim sum. If you come in on a weekend, be sure to arrive before 11am to beat the crowd. If not, expect to wait 30-60 minutes for a table. All of their steam dumplings are on point and make sure to grab the taro buns when they come by. It is no longer a sought-after dish, they no longer yell at you if you decide to order them.

Justin P.

Yelp
Overall Experience: 0/10 As a restaurant enthusiast this restaurant should be ashamed of their staff and service. No other way to cut it. Came in on a Sunday night to celebrate the last day before helping my sister move in to her dorms, and was seated at a table. The seat still had a huge dark brown chunk of food smeared across the chair, like it hasn't been cleaned for hours after someone else sat there. The tea cups were not even washed properly (or at all) as they had greasy yellow stains on 4/5 cups that we were seated with. Along with the seat and tea cups, the table cloth had pieces of leftover broccoli scattered around. It was whatever at that point because we have been to this place at least 10 times before, even taking friends here for dim sum, dinners, and so we just brushed it off. After, the waitress came to take our order and we ordered a crab dish and she said it was 26.99 a pound. That was fine but we asked to see the crab beforehand, and she brought it out and said it was 3-4 pounds. We looked at the crab but it did not look like a 3-4 pound crab and asked to see it being weighed. When it was weighed the crab was BARELY 2.3 pounds. The waitress fully knew and was going to fully charge us 3-4 pounds (~45 dollar up-charge) on the bill. At that point the waitress threw a tantrum, bickering and outright yelling at our table and in our face. The chefs behind the glass door were pointing at our table too. We are all native cantonese speakers and could understand what was being said and that it was sad to hear. At that point we just got up and left before the food was even placed. We have come here various times before, and even knew an employee who worked there personally, but now it has gone downhill. If u come here make sure you watch them weigh your food if they are charging by the pound or you might get overcharged like us. After years of coming for special occasions we will never be coming back.

Daphne D.

Yelp
This review is for their bake char siu bao only. There were lots of ppl in line waiting. I got the backed char siu bao, omg this is so delicious!!! It's pricey but very tasty! Still hot when I ate at home, will get them again!

Joseph Y.

Yelp
When I lived in Sunnyvale for 8 years, this was my go-to dim sum spot. When things are hot, ie. the bbq pork bun, always good. Chinese broccoli is solid. The shrimp dumplings and pork shumai was on the colder side, because the cart was pushed around. Always busy here and a classic South Bay dim sum spot. It feels like things are coasting here, etc There is wifi, which is the phone number for the restaurant.

Sean L.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years before the pandemic. It was my first time back since maybe 2018. The food here is still super tasty and amazing! However, the prices have sky rocketed! I remember maybe spending $15-20 per person pre pandemic, but now its closer to $30-40! In my opinion, unless you love dim sum, you could eat a much "fancier" restaurant for the same price and get more unique food. I wish I kept the receipt, but when I saw it, I remembering my eyeballs coming straight out of my face! I think each dish was roughly $8-10 per dim sum dish. Like shumai, har gow, egg tarts, char siu buns, etc. I would give this place five stars, but -1 to -1.5 stars for the price. Just too overpriced, especially when you can get dim sum for a lot less at other places and the taste is not that much lower.

Andrea M.

Yelp
The wait was longer for a party of 5. They let all the groups of two or one go in first. Finally food was alright. The har gow was stuck to the parchment paper and ended up getting ripped open when trying to pick it up. Siu Mai was okay, the ha cheung fun was not filling and there was more soy sauce than that shrimp rice roll. The jellyfish and beef plate was okay. The best thing that came out was the feng chao (spelling? chicken feet). The red bean sesame balls were not hot and fresh, little flavor. The shrimp balls with the fried noodles on the outside was good. Overall the food wasn't amazing but the worst part about dim sum here is that each plate costs $9.50. The lesser popular ones are still $6.00 something. For 7 or 8 plates it was a little over $100. Then having a party of 5 they charged $18/20 for a mandatory tip.

Shayla L.

Yelp
Ambiance 4.5/5 - We arrived just at opening time so got seated immediately, but the place filled up very quickly on Saturday morning. Loved that this place still uses carts and how lively it is, although it was difficult to grab our favorites as they kept running out by the time the carts got to our table in the middle. It's a great experience if that's your expectations for this traditional way of ordering. Food 2/5 - Some dishes like the deep fried glutenous rice dumplings and shrimp balls were decent. Soup dumplings were flavorful but they were no longer soupy. The turnip cake was not to our liking as it was a bit too soft, there were whole chunks of radish in the cake so that might have also made it feel more soggy when bitten into. Would definitely prefer a firmer texture. The biggest disappointments were the Har gow and Shumai! The Har gows are hefty looking and has a lot of filling, but it also comes with a thick and quite dough-y exterior. The shrimp was more whole than minced and it did not hold together well. It was as if you just ate dough and shrimps separately. Similar story with the Shumai, the pork and shrimp did not blend together well, there was no cohesion on each bite and the fillings didn't complement each other. Might have better luck ordering their specials or entrees but dimsum here was definitely a let down.

Sarah Y.

Yelp
We were seated off to the side so carts sometimes passed us. Otherwise there was a good variety of dishes and everything tasted good. I enjoyed the fried tofu and the meatballs.

Shannon W.

Yelp
This is my favorite dim sum restaurant in the South Bay. I try to get here between 10-11am on weekends to get seated in less than 10 minutes. After 11am I usually have to wait at least 30 minutes. Parties of 2 get seated much quicker than parties of 3-4. They unfortunately do not have a waitlist system and you have to sign up with the host in-person and wait til your ticket number gets called. Their Feng zhao (braised chicken feet) is amazing and consistently good. Sometimes the carts run out of that dish by the time it gets to us, if we're not seated at the front, so we can order it directly from one of the waiters. Each order of that has 4 items. I also like the sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf with meat. It doesn't come with egg yolk but it's still really good and filling. Their Baked Char Siu Bao (BBQ Pork Bun) is crispy-topped and super good as well, although it's not super consistent - sometimes it's undercooked and pale, and other times it's almost burnt. Nevertheless it's good and I get it pretty often. The Zhaliang (Fried Dough Rice Noodle Rolls) is pretty good and I order that from the waiter since it's not on the carts. The spare ribs, siu mai, and tripe are not bad. The har gow has always come out sticking to each other excessively so I don't get that anymore. Service is chaotic and noisy and fun, with the carts going around, just like how dim sum restaurants should be.

Yelp
This is a restaurant with no honor! I booked the table for 16 people including 1 baby on lap for his 1st birthday party on 10/26/2024 at 6:30 pm. We confirmed this 16 people arrangement with the manager when reserving it. But when we arrived, they told us that they would offer us to put two small round tables together instead of giving us the one we booked. Ironically, we saw that the table we reserved was given to a group of people who seemed to know the manager. That explained everything! No one ever ever apologized to us but just kept urging us to take their arrangement and directly asking us what dishes we'd like to order while we were all standing there waiting for the manager to come and explain what was happening. We left. Saigon Seafood Harbor, please treat your customer with respect.

John L.

Yelp
My co-workers & I went out for Dim Sum for lunch. Saigon Seafood can get really busy, but luckily we got in right away. This place is really big, so they have plenty of tables for large parties. Quickly, they came around with the Dim Sum carts. I was a bit bummed the Dim Sum that day (6/14) lacked a lot of variety. It seemed like most of the dishes that came out were all filled with shrimp. I have been here before and I know they had more options for Dim Sum. It gets a bit loud, and with language barrier with our servers, it made ordering a bit entertaining. Next I would love to try something off the main menu.

Ramona G.

Yelp
My friend dragged me to Dim Sum here the other week. I was surprised since he didn't give a good review of it but still wanted to come. I haven't been to many Dim Sum places but according to him this is an authentic place. We got several small places to share like shumai, xiao long bao, charsiu pork bao bun, custard bun, taro bun, honey walnut prawns etc. The food was decent quality. I felt like we ate so fast. We were in and out in a short amount of time.

HanNa P.

Yelp
Casual place that has dim sum and is busy. I like that they have carts, since I don't speak the language. Its easier to order from. Service was pretty fast and functional. Luckily we got a round table far away from the madness. We got a bunch of things like greens, siumai, Hargow, tofu skin, beef rice roll and Tea. Everything was pretty yum. We were so hungry we didn't take photos of the additional foods. But private lot for parking. I would say for weekends go early!!

Dan J.

Yelp
OK, first off, the dim sum here is very good. My problem is that we placed a take out order online that was promised for 11:55. It is now 12:25 and still no food. To be clear, our order is large; 15 items. That still does not mean they can skip over our order to fill smaller orders. In addition, it looks like they are more concerned with table service over take out. When I came in to check on my order, a family of three came in, sat down, ate, and left already! It's best not to order takeout on a busy holiday.

Cathy T.

Yelp
Slow service and rush you out so they can seat another party . We have 8 people table and paid over $200.00. And I gave more than 10% tip in cash because the service not that good . The man asked me if I can give more. I said if your service was good I would give you 20%. He's giving a bad look. Never come back again.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Parking is plentiful and easy to find. My party of 4 was seated right away. There's too much seating for the average human eye to count. The room fits probably close to 30-50 groups of various sizes from 2 all the way to 8. The noise level was pretty loud for how little people there were. The interior is beautifully decorated with calligraphy and colorful seafood. Food could be better. I would say it averages around 2/5. Most of the dishes didn't have enough flavor and were on the bland side. The texture of the beef was pretty hard to chew. Crunchy vegetables like onions and peppers were cooked too soft. Overall Saigon Seafood Harbor could use a bit of work. I do hear their dim sum is pretty good though. Maybe I'll be back for that.

Chau P.

Yelp
Worst experience today! We had 2 adults and 1 kid, our bill was $160. The food was average, the service was meh, we did not get complimentary dessert at the end. Worst part when we went to the cashier to pay, I was writing down $15 for tip (was not equal to the service we received). The cashier lady stopped me, and rudely told me need to tip at least 15%. She even offered me a new receipt so I could rewrite the tip amount....wow. My husband pulled out $43 to give it to her, and she changed her attitude to "ok see you again next time". We are never coming back. Hopefully this rude lady doesn't keep the tip to herself.

Yelp
Lucas was amazing and gave us exceptional service that evening for dinner. This is a family style type of place so make sure to order different dishes and also invite a group . The more , the merrier. We had an 8 lb king crab that was cooked 3 different ways . The first dish was steamed crab legs with garlic on top of a bed of vermicelli noodles. The second dish was the body deep fried with salted egg yolk . Omg this dish was freaking phenomenal. It was my absolute fav. It had nice chunks of meat in there and the coating was exquisite. The 3 rd preparation of the crab was the yummy bits of crab head with fried rice . It was delicious. Although the crab was pricey it's definitely worth it. We also ordered some greens, walnut shrimp and a meat dish ( think it was Mongolian beef ). These tasted pretty decent . All the food was delicious & tasted authentic. For dessert we had a coconut jello and a mango jello . I really liked the coconut jello . Tasted super light and was a great way to end the meal . Overall I would come back again to order the king crab & have it prepared 3 different ways . Great family style restaurant.

Yelp
i called in a phone order, they said it would take 20 mins. i arrived in 20 mins. it was not ready, they asked me to pay immediately. it took 55 mins for the order to be ready. it looks like they prioritize doordash and ubereats first. they leave doordash receipts/tickets on a table in front so i checked them. their receipts say ASAP. mine does not. the doordash receipts had a timestamp after my order, but their food was ready first. it was a wednesday night around 6:00-7:00pm.

Yelp
A friend suggested we meet up so I suggested dim sum and he immediately said we should go to Saigon Seafood Harbor Restaurant. He suggested we get there at 11 AM because there's usually a huge line. Fortunately we only had to wait less than 10 minutes to get a table for four. After being seated I immediately appreciated that this place still uses dim sum carts. Almost all of the other dim sum places have you order on paper which is more efficient but takes a little bit away from the experience. The dim sum was good though honestly I am not very discriminating about dim sum. We ordered the typical, Siu Mai, Steamed Pork Ribs, Shrimp Dumplings, Stuffed Eggplant, Fried Sesame Balls, etc. One thing that surprised me about this place was we were never hurried. I think we were there for ninety minutes.

Yelp
This was a solid spot for lunch for a large group (12 people) of coworkers, as we were able to get a large round table in one of the private rooms, so service is fast. They bring out the food on carts. I heard that the taro buns are good, but I didn't find them to be super standout. Also, the online menu (https://saigonharbors.com/) was confusing since it didn't show the dim sum options.

Yelp
Fairly priced dim sum, not bad tasting and can be an ideal regular spot for dim sum. Food comes fresh from the carts. Will give other dim sum spots a try if looking for better ambience or taste though.

Yelp
Great dim sum place with the best taro buns I've ever had! This dim sum restaurant is always packed, and with good reason! I've come to this place since I was a kid, and it was always super crowed with super long waits if you weren't there well before they opened for the day. I highly recommend coming on a weekday and arriving at least 15 minutes before they open, since that's when people start crowding around the entrance. If you're there at opening, they welcome you in and allow you to choose your table for your party. Within 10-15 minutes of the restaurant opening it was already busy and bustling. The carts come around frequently with lots of good food options. Not all of the workers speak English, so it's good to have an idea of what dishes you want or just be open to trying new things! If the carts don't have items that you're looking for, you can also ask any of the workers and they'll either let you know that the dish is coming or they'll put in an order for you in the kitchen and bring it out to you. The snowcap taro buns are an absolute must if you're visiting this spot. The bun is soo soft and delicate with smooth and flavorful taro paste inside. And it has a light crunchy top that's soo good! We always get several orders of these! On weekends it can be a huge challenge to get your hands on them (at least that was the case several years ago), but when I went recently on a weekday, they were available in the carts and I was able to get as many orders as my table wanted. Also of note: tea is $2 per person.

Yelp
Very bad services , very bad at all and insult the customer. Long time no dimSum, and planned to visit this restaurant for Sunday lunch . The receptionist lady was acting so efficient and she called our number within 10 mins. However by the time we get in there we're not enough table , and so funny she gave the table to other group which had the same size of party but they were behind my queue . WTF! And that "efficient receptionist lady " even asked us to stand in at the hallway inside the restaurant to wait for another available table . What a shame and insult to ask the customer stand at the corner as TimeOut ? Come on i would never visit this restaurant again

Yelp
Ordered the following: Shrimp Dumpling, Steamed Chicken Feet, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Chives Shrimp Dumpling, Vegetarian Curd Skin Rolls, Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll, Taro Paste Bun, and Black Sesame Bun. The chicken feet and Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll were standard, but the sticky rice in lotus leaf was very flavorful. The vegetarian curd skin rolls were delicious: I had some in the restaurant and as takeout, and it was still good as take out later. The Taro Paste bun were as good as always, but In really enjoyed the Black Sesame Buns which were new to me. We also ordered the seafood porridge, and that was very flavorful. The ambiance is busy, and they still push carts, but they don't have everything on their menu, so definitely peruse the takeout menu which has pictures versus the inhouse menu. The service is fast and friendly.

Yelp
Came here for our monthly team dim sum lunch! It was pretty crowded but we didn't have to wait long. I noticed they receive a lot of takeout orders. We ordered: - Siu Mai - Har Gow - Fried Shrimp Balls - Chicken feet - Sticky rice in lotus leaf - Egg Custard Tart - Durian Puff - Steamed Egg Custard Bun Overall, this place was okay. The food was decent but the service could've been better. There were times the waiters would ignore us. We were also missing a dish even though we placed the order. Not sure if I'll come back; I'd rather go to other dim sum places.

Yelp
Good food in the Bay, nice place for dimsum in the morning and family party at night or just when you want to have a family dishes in busy day. Food here are fresh, sometimes will have decent combo offer on seafood or hainan chicken, they will alternate the menu so always check out at the entrance. The service so far way better than most same types of restaurants in the Bay I would say 4/5. Dishes come out quickly, hot and smells so good. They also offer tea for dinner. The menu is variety with all kinds of food.

Yelp
Our good friends took us here as they are regulars! We have not been here in years, maybe decades... Quality/Quantity - Good, see all the pictures of the food they ordered. Sorry about the descriptions on my pictures, as our good friends are so experienced here, we let them do all the ordering. I even think some of the items are either new or on the secret menu. Atmosphere - Huge restaurant. Fresh live seafood, see picture. Remodeled bathrooms, check out the cool signs on my pictures. Plenty of mall parking Open 7 days a week, see picture for specific hours. Cool decor, see picture. Service - Excellent, it helps that our friends know all the employees and managers. Tea pots were never empty. Changed our plates often. Complimentary desserts. Price - $80 + generous tip; not bad for 4 people for Dim Sum. I can spend more at my to-go dim sum places in both SF and Oakland... See other Yelps. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success and your two locations. I will be in Richmond CA today, but will not have time to check out your other location. :) FYI - your link on Yelp needs to be updated. Actually, you need a better website, but I am sure it is just a 3rd party online ordering system. I like the pictures with the online menu. No online orders for Dim Sum...?

Yelp
How could I have not left a review for this place yet that I have been going there for the last 10 years! There are a bunch of dimsum options in South Bay. Saigon for some reason always comes top of my choice because it's reliable - food quality is consistent, quick, delicious (especially their taro buns), service is always the same old cold and bad (jk). The place looked run down 10 years ago, and has not seem to deteriorate as of today. There is always a line, but one time we went when they just open and the experience was very interesting. They let everyone walk in and take a seat they quickly push carts out and fill our tables. Food was piping hot.

Yelp
My visit to Saigon Seafood Harbor left me with a deeply unsatisfactory impression. The discriminatory practice of refusing service based on one's appearance is not only disheartening but also goes against the principles of inclusivity and fairness that should be upheld in any establishment. Moreover, the hygiene standards were shockingly subpar, exemplified by the discovery of hair in the food. This not only indicates a lack of attention to cleanliness but also poses a significant health concern for patrons. Finding foreign objects in a dish is not only unappetizing but also raises questions about the overall food safety practices of the restaurant. The overall experience at Saigon Seafood Harbor was marred by these issues, and I would caution others to consider these factors before choosing to dine there. It's crucial for any restaurant to prioritize both inclusivity and hygiene to provide a positive and safe dining environment for all customers.

Yelp
This is the steamed rib bites. All fatty and joint bones... sorry to see this!! I don't see this eatable.

Yelp
Terrible service, especially the man in the white shirt. His face was very cold. It makes us feel that we are not welcome. When my dad asked for tea refilled, this man was very rude. NEVER COME BACK ANYMORE. Disappointed.
