The Best Brunch Restaurants in the Twin Cities | Eater Twin Cities

"This focused and elegant French bistro serves an especially delicate omelet du jour. Beyond it, try dishes like a wild mushroom and brie crepe, or shakshouka en cocotte with bacon and harissa — an order of beignets is a must at St. Gen’s. Vietnamese coffee, mimosas, and Bloody Marys are also on offer. Make a reservation ahead of time if you can." - Justine Jones

Cathedral Hill Bar Closing to Relaunch As a Bar with Pizza | Eater Twin Cities

"I heard Belen Rodriguez’s empanada pop-up Quebracho will now be permanently folding dough in the kitchen at Saint Genevieve in South Minneapolis, which will let the business expand with charcuterie and catering while continuing pop-ups." - Joy Summers

The Best New Year’s Eve Parties in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, 2018 | Eater Twin Cities

"Indulge in a five-course meal inspired by Escoffier’s classic French cuisine—think escargot, charcuterie, venison Wellington, and chocolate souffle. The first seating from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. is $67 per person, with a second seating from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for $87 per person." - Stacy Brooks

St. Genevieve - Review - Lynnhurst - Minneapolis - The Infatuation

"Minnesota is not France, but if you want to feel like you’re almost in Paris for a few hours, head to St. Genevieve in Lynnhurst. It’s the kind of place that you spend an entire afternoon at, especially once you start sampling from their long list of champagnes. Like its sister restaurant Tilia, this French bistro does both shared and large plates, but the tartines are what you should focus on. Order both the beet and salmon options, some wine, and see where your afternoon goes. The menu changes throughout the day, but no matter what time you walk in, there will always be something that you’ll want to try. RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE" - Kyle Meehan

Decided to eat at St Genevieve for my anniversary because I heard good reviews. We had the pommes frites, mushroom risotto and royale with cheese (cheeseburger). I agree that you should ask for the sauce on the burger on the side. Atmosphere was good with candles as the centerpiece. Service was ok but felt a little long a couple of times. We were not asked for refills other than the coffee. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrive but was busy when we left. Overall it was an ok experience. The restaurant and menu look more like fine dinning but one of the staff was wearing a sports jersey and plenty of customers were in sweaters and jeans.

The food has never disappointed us and their service is consistent. We enjoy their oysters very much on this side of town, and their brunch is great.

Had a lovely brunch with my partner and her parents. The atmosphere walking in is very inviting and intimate. The service was splendid with nice appropriate information. The food was stunning! Everything was perfectly balanced with flavor and presentation. The brunch menu is limited but well rounded. We will be back for date night to try out the full dinner menu!

Absolute favorite of ours. Small menu, but all items always prepared brilliantly. Wine list perfectly curated to support the cuisine. Can’t recommend enough. Wish we lived closer so we could eat here more! ❤️

St Genevieve is a quaint restaurant just off 50th and Bryant. We went for brunch and enjoyed familiar brunch fare but with an exquisite French touch. For example, French toast but topped with sweet jam, or an omelette with puréed carrots. We will definitely be back again!

My husband and I have been to this establishment several times and had great experiences with the food and the staff BUT we have also had a couple of experiences where the food/drink and service were less than stellar. Tonight was one of those nights and I had to leave a review because it was so overtly disrespectful in my opinion. The host tonight was a male-presenting host and when we came through the door he hardly acknowledged us at all. When we asked if we could be seated at the bar, he said that a group of 12 was coming in to sit at the bar at 8pm, 45 minutes away. We asked if we could sit and have a drink at the bar (this is all we were looking for anyway) and the host said this would be ok. We sat down and had some drinks, but the vibe was waaaay off. We’ve experienced this vibe before at St Genevieve-the staff seeming anxious and on edge, and communicating very short with us. We don’t appreciate that, and surely don’t expect it when it happens. We hope that staff are well take care of/enjoy working there, because it shows when things are off. Hopefully this review can be used for good as well-we love having a nice bar so close to us!

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was noisier than expected. Service was also slow. But this was our first time here, so can't honestly say if that's normal. However, the creme brulee was the absolute best I've ever had & the chocolate cream dessert was a huge crowd pleaser. Can't wait to go back!

Stopped here an hour before closing during the week and perfect ending to the night I wanted something cosy and quiet and I was transported to a French bistro sitting here at the bar chatting with the GM Tim (shoutout!) We ordered the fries with the bernaise dipping sauce, so fresh and perfect amount of salt Also got some delicious cocktails- sorry forget the name and a delicious shared dessert!! Need to come back and try the dinner menu Love the ambiance here!
