The Best (And Worst) Foods At Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Location: Fan Fare (Field 10, Reserve 31) The best burger in the stadium. The pile of tender shaved pastrami on top does raise the price, but it adds some nice salty-meaty heft that lifts the relatively thin burger patty and complements the dill pickle chips and mustard. A word of advice about burgers at Dodger Stadium, however: they're usually made in advance and sit under heatlamps, so we find they taste way better earlier in the game. Don't wait until the seventh inning stretch." - garrett snyder

Where to order burgers for takeout and delivery in Las Vegas and Henderson | Eater Vegas

"Equipped with a drive-thru and delivering daily via DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub, Sammy’s L.A. Pastrami & Burgers on Tropicana features a huge menu of sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, melts, chili fries, and chicken wings. The standout 502 sandwich is built with a pound of fries topped with pastrami, chili, and ribeye steak, while the as seen on TV pastrami burger is a big draw, adding pastrami, provolone cheese, bacon, and a fried egg to an already generous burger." - Bradley Martin

I was looking for something for lunch on my way to work and came across this place. I pulled up to the window and ordered a PASTRAMI BURRITO after asking what they put in it (pastrami, mustard, pickles, and cheese). It cost me $15 and done change. I waited 7 minutes, got my burrito and went on to work. Clocked in at 3 so at 5:30 when it was time for my break, I was good and hungry and ready to core down on the pastrami burrito. I put half in the microwave, got some sour cream and sat down to enjoy. But lo and behold did I get a GREAT big surprise. I picked up a piece of meat and I’m like, they slice their pastrami thick and popped it in my mouth! WTH!!! I opened up that burrito and all I saw was a few speck of (what looked like) pastrami and a WHOLE LOT OF cut up WIENERS!!! YES!!!! I said W I E N E R S! Like HOTDOGS!!! I was so P****D! Without thinking I chucked out onto the trash cause my WHOLE appetite was ruined. I mean, like, WTH puts wieners in a pastrami?!?!?!? Sammy’s Pastrami and Burgers SHAME ON YOU… if y’all didn’t have any pastrami meat, that’s all you had to say! I would gladly drive my car right on out and be on to something else. Next time… be honest with your customers and don’t try to disguise hotdogs for pastrami meat. They don’t look nor taste the same. And not to mention that it’s dry as he double toothpicks. I will NEVER go there again!!! I had to dump the other half so y’all can see what this SMDH

Google
Don't let the other reviews fool you. This place has stayed consistent in the last 4 years that I've been going. Fact of the matter is that this is a hole in the wall goat. Huge portions great flavor! This ain't no fancy 5 star restaurant. It's a 5 star big back paradise. They give you your money's worth guaranteed. Animal burger, pulled pork pastrami fries, and steak burger are a must.

Google
I had the loaded Philly cheese steak and a small order of their garlic fries which was actually a huge portion! Definitely try their handmade lemonade, I had the blueberry flavor and now I can't wait to try the rest! Everything was delicious, will definitely be back again soon!

Google
I ordered some chili cheese fries. They gave me a great portion, but the fries looked and tasted like they were just sitting around, and the chili was bland.

We went about 3 in the afternoon and realized it was only a drive through after we parked and walked up. The seating out front was slightly misleading as to the drivethrough only, but lack of parking should have been a sign. The medium garlic fries seemed like 3 potatoes worth of fries should have kept with the small. The medium drink also was quite large, good value there. The burgers that we got were the original bacon cheese burger single, and the black and blue pastrami burger. Not sure what brand of blue cheese dressing they used but it was missing the normal chunks, very very messy. The pastrami was quite dry IMO, the burger bun was extra toasty and quite firm(i didn't like that) but the rest of the burger was quite yum.

Google
Food is horrible. The homemade mac and cheese is flavorless. It’s just soup noodles with cheese that have no flavor. It takes like nothing. I had a Bacon burger and the buns were literal mush. Like think of the mushiest wettest feeling ever. I also pulled out this string that wasnt cheese and more like plastic.

Having lived in Las Vegas for 20+ years up until 2015, this place was always so damn good with great portions of fresh food. I arrived back in Vegas tonight and headed straight to Sammy’s. What a disappointment. Indoor seating is gone. You can only order through the drive thru now. The employees spoke very minimal English. I asked him about when they did away with indoor dining and he couldn’t understand what I was asking. I ordered my usual LA Pastrami medium and fries and waited at the window. About 10 mins later I had my food. I parked and made my way to the outdoor seating which was absolutely filthy. Found a clean a spot as I could and ate. The sandwich was nothing like I remember. Skimped on meat when it used to be piled high. The whole sandwich tasted like it had been microwaved. Flavorless and soggy. This isn’t the Sammy’s I grew up with. It’s like they have lost their passion completely. Sad.

Google
What the hell is up with the fries I seen some reviews but I really didn't think I will get some s*** like that I ordered pastrami fries, before I left I opened my food to check it out it looked okay a couple fries on top were decent then I noticed the guy started sweating. Got home under all that crap was Fry's that look like they came out of a dumpster need a refund* 2

Tumau V.

Yelp
It's ok. The fries need to be changed though otherwise the chili and pastrami is good.

Yelp
Don't judge a book by the cover or this restaurant on the outside. If you are a snob then this place is not for you and you will miss out some some awesome food. The people are super nice and the food is super good. Aside from the graffiti, trash around the neighborhood and drive through speaker not working. The food is amazing. The Pastrami's are not that New York deli stuff that you can get anywhere in Vegas. This pastrami is a completely different animal. But it is stuff on par with famous L.A. pastrami places like, "The Hat", "Johnny's Pastrami", "Steven Burger I,II,and III", the "Astroburger" chain. Thin cut fatty pastrami on a French roll with just mustard and pickles. Make sure you get some yellow chili peppers to go with it and squeeze that fiery hot juice onto your sandwich before taking a bite. NO, there is no coleslaw, so don't ask. It is not that kind of deli place. You order a sandwich of this kind with french fries or fried zuccini. Again this place looks sketchy but it has been awarded food awards and featured on TV. The lines are long and service is slow. If you go in expecting this and know that the food is worth it, then you will come back despite all your senses telling you to run away. I am warning you ahead of time. This is not a place to impress your date. But you will certainly impress your taste buds! That relationship will last longer than your date anyway! Cheers! Greg

Yelp
Got my Uber eats order. Not worth the value, $3 more for a "large" 2 pieces of bread not even a roll sandwich well over priced. Also extremely soggy. Not even fries ? I don't often write bad reviews. When I'm disappointed, I need to let everyone know. I do not recommend.

Yelp
Have been here one time years ago. Decided to try again. Dining room not open drive thru only. Order board down must order at window. Just a heads up. Good news is food is cooked to order so be patient. Food was good and shake although pricey is huge and delicious. We had a plain burger added bacon, pastrami burger, garlic fries, onion rings and a Oreo custard shake. Service was long as a car was before us but it's cooked to order so that was to be expected. Ambiance isn't the best but sometimes that is the sacrifice for good food.

Jacob W.

Yelp
My first thought looking over the menu was "man $20 for hot link fries, that sounds great but kinda pricy." 10 minutes, one very friendly employee, and one look inside that box and my mood changed to "oh, it makes sense now." Y'all I'm a big guy, i can pack it away and I was real hungry and that box was an easy two meals (or shared.) Size aside it tasted fantastic: exactly the right amount of spice, great homemade fries, absolutely loaded with meat and cheese and glory. Sammy's is not a fast food place, don't expect it to be, but it IS a ton of very good food fast.
google avatar

Yelp
Lemme just say, despite the rating I gave, the food is 5 stars. The seasoned fries and the pastrami is craveworthy. Absolutely craveable. The shakes are also great. This is the kind of food where you smell it and the mouth waters. The service is 50/50. Sometimes you get friendly service, sometimes it's a bit cold. The place is small, rundown, and looks a little busted. Yet there are people waiting for food in that small 4 table room. Dont eat in. Always do take out. Food Network has been here. It's that legit.

Yelp
My dad showed me this place when I was just a kid, had to come back more than 10 years later and still just as good as when I first had it. I ordered the three square; a true amalgamation of fries and meats I assume they call it three square because it's for sure three square meals in one being topped with pastrami, carne asada, bacon and eggs featuring some pico liquid, cheese and jalapeño and pizza bites which turned out to be deep fried pizza rolls with parmigiana cheese. Honestly if I could give Sammy's more than 5 I would, the only draw back is their small size and cramp location. If you're in the area and you consider yourself a foodie stop by and grab something to go I promise you it's hard to be disappointed here.

Yelp
absolutely disgusting. never EVER come here. rather eat at mcdonald's. took over an hour to get my food. dude spoke 0 english. he charged me way more then i should of been charged. NEVER COME HERE. they need to shut this place down. HORRIBLE.

Yelp
Ordered buy one get one free burgers. Paid extra to have double dose of bacon added- they did not add. Paid extra to have grilled onions added- they did not add. Ordered pastrami fries- did not receive, they gave us soggy fries topped with gross type of I guess chili and some cheese. Absolutely terrible! We also asked for blue cheese dressing- did. Or receive. We also asked for the onions and jalepenos for pastrami chili cheese fries he added on the side instead of on top- we didn't receive any. This place is terrible! I'd advice not ordering anything from here.

Yelp
Bomb food i especially love anything with the pastrami !! I also tried their mango shake and absolutely yummy as well.

Alvin M.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from this place and they told the delivery person that someone else had picked it up. I spoke with the person and they said that they never received the food. I then reordered and it was the same thing. I think that they never prepared the food and lied to the dashers. Obviously service like this actually deserves zero stars but since I can only give one at the minimum, that's what I'll give them.

Kade B.

Yelp
This place used to be Amazing, 12 years ago. The food was always great and it was a quaint little joint. Service was always slow but worth the wait. It's gone down hill considerably, they need the originally management from years back
google avatar

Yelp
For a fast food, it's not. Went to the drive thru yesterday, April 3, and was there for 15 minutes and the line hasn't moved. I tried calling the restaurant but it seems like there was only 1 employee working.

Woody J.

Yelp
The pastrami chili fries are usually good most of the time. but, I found this visit to be a little disappointing.

K. K.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this goodness. I'm a sucker for Pastrami! This DIVE is a must. The hot cut fries in a greasy brown paper bag and The LA Pastrami Cheese Sandwich Combo was worth every $!! I'll be back! Off the strip

Dawnetta S.

Yelp
This is the worst place I have ever experienced the food is garbage the customer service is garbage I spent 50 dollars I took the food back to ask for a refund they called there people and the police and said I was trespassing the fries were old the food was sloppy and throwed together I saw a rat trap and 2 roaches on the counter this place needs to be shutdown

Dennis W.

Yelp
My wife and I went there many years ago . Sammy was very friendly but , the place was a disaster . The furniture was ugly and cheap ... it looked like it was kept outside all the time . Anyways we were impressed by the amount of food you got but , the turning point was shortly after eating out meal ( which was much than we could finish ) we both got upset stomachs etc . We have never been back .
google avatar

Kenny J.

Yelp
I have to say this was the best Pastrami I've had here in Vegas since i moved from LA I'll most def be returning
google avatar

Pete G.

Yelp
If you can ever find someone working, you might be able to write a review when I drove through. There was a vehicle parked at the drive threw with nobody in it.
google avatar

Kim L.

Yelp
I'm full, it was good, the chilly cheesy french fries are busin, the burger was good it's given Tam's in LA I didn't try the pastrami, but I did try the chilli it's given! Next time I'll give the pastrami a try. On a scale 1 through 10 I'm giving this a seven. But it's not a go to place for me.
google avatar

Tom F.

Yelp
This place is closed. We went there on Saturday around 2pm. Either they don't follow their hours posted or they are permanently closed. What a waste of our time.
google avatar

Jason A.

Yelp
The place doesn't look like it's been open in years, might be wrong but if they do open sometimes it's definitely a building that needs work.

Diamond F.

Yelp
I ate here a couple years ago, I was surprised they survived Covid or did they because I came back on 3/14/24 for 2 chill cheese pastrami sandwiches and this sandwich had roast beef, pieces of ham I saw no pastrami what so ever. I was truly devastated, disappointed and angry because Apple Maps sent me to Henderson first. These sandwiches were coming back home with me to enjoy! I got two sandwiches ate one at home the other is froze. Perhaps Sammy's time is up if he's substituting meat To make the sale. I would have ordered another meal than to be played with and ripped off.
google avatar

Jake V.

Yelp
I was in the mood for pastrami and I found this spot through Grubhub. This spot is located on the corner of Tropicana and eastern. I ordered for delivery and it did take awhile to prepare. However, the delivery person delivered my order quickly! [Food] I ordered the pastrami fries and it was huge! They definitely are generous with the portions. The fries are covered in cheese, chili, and of course pastrami. The fries were okay. The pastrami was great! The meal overall was good but just average in my opinion. I might try this place again. Will probably go with a sandwich next time. 3.5 stars from me.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
It's just ok. Not even Close to an LA Style pastrami, I'm sorry. I tried it twice over the years and it's no Johnnie's, The Hat or even Tom's (which is the worst of all).
google avatar

Karla A.

Yelp
The absolute GOAT. My husband and I share one of these and still have leftovers. It's a small shop but the food smacks every time!
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
I legit have NO idea how we ended up on this side of town, but I'm a sucker for a sign. Throw food network up there and now I'm curious. I went to order, but instead of doing it at the sigh, you do it at the window. I should've called in but experiences make yelps. The lady at the window was cool and funny, I liked her. I wanted the pork fries but she told me the pork is small batch and sells out early in the week (I went on a Saturday). I did chili cheese fries w onions. I ordered a small, but she told me it'd been a long day and the cook made a medium, cool, thank you. I thought the onions might be diced and cute. They were big ass onions! They kind of hogged the attention as they didn't just blend into the bites due to them being so large. The fries were uneventful. A lot of cheese tho so I'll always compliment that. All in all, trust the stars. They were spot on here.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
Owner Brian great food haven't eaten here in a long time but now I will be back. You make great food very reasonably priced and generous portions. Thanks for the great experience. Your place is great will eat again soon.

Yelp
I ordered food for pickup. Was not given a total for the order on the phone. I got to the window in the drive thru (inside is apparently closed. Sign posted says drive thru only and pull forward to order.) The Spanish speaking lady was signaling to me that they don't take credit cards and was cash only. I asked her how much. She came back with a total of around $50 but everything said custom order and prices for the items. I said that something wasn't right. The prices were not the same as the online menu. She didn't understand anything I said. I asked her if there was anyone there who spoke English. She made a phone call and I spoke to an English speaking man. I said these prices were wrong. Online has different prices. I said I would pay for the food but at the prices I saw online. He said that menu was 4 years old and he had no control of what is posted. I told him that he needs to update that information and get people on the premises that speak English (he was off site somewhere.) This business is shady and I do not recommend them. I give them 0 stars but the system made me pick.
google avatar

Shelia M.

Yelp
Las Vegas is apparently not known for good Pastrami's like Los Angeles and I don't want to fool anyone in trying what I've had. Not the same no way.
google avatar

Will Y.

Yelp
Service was great it's just nothing like LA food at all ill give it 3 stars if they take the LA off so I don't have expectations of LA type of food.

Mercy M.

Yelp
I ubered eats the food and they did not give me my fried pickles. Im still waiting on Uber to fix this issue. I'm really upset about that but the food it self was good.
google avatar

Joseph H.

Yelp
Get these burgers asap!!!! We order for work all the time! Huge, delicious burgers with a dab of pastrami to burst the taste buds. Really nice owner and staff!! Go go get it!!!!!
google avatar

Trilo B.

Yelp
Love this place, but seems like they're going through some challenges. Tried to order on DoorDash, but the regular pastrami sandwich and other menu items inexplicably missing. They were on the grubhub menu, so we placed order there. Restaurant accepted order, driver went to restaurant, then the order was canceled without explanation. Don't take the order and waste 45 minutes if you don't want the business. Food is great, but a bit of a gamble to see if they want to take the order.
google avatar

Yelp
Diane and I made a dining visit here for the first time, just before a departure by car to Southern California. We fueled up ourselves at about 8:45 p.m., with an AOL perk $10 off $20 Restaurant.com certificate in hand. As it turned out we ordered over $40 worth of food for a medium Pastrami Dip with Cheese, Mozzarella Sticks, Cheddar Cheese Fries, Pastrami Fries, and a can of diet soda. Even though a sign at the entrance to the dining room said that the restaurant would be open until 10:00 p.m., we were told that, although to go orders would still be accepted, the dining room was closing at 9:00 p.m. As a result the fountain drink machine had already been turned off, and no prepared hot food like Fried Chicken was available. We were also informed that no restroom exists on the premises. However, the sole staffer cooked up great-tasting food while we briefly waited, and portions were huge. I received about 3/4 lb.of pastrami between my large Pastrami Dip and large Pastrami Fries. Pickle Chips were added to the Pastrami Fries per my request. The Provolone Cheese on my Pastrami Dip was very well melted; the meat mostly lean; the hot au jus on point; and the roll holding everything together nice and soft. The sandwich was large, juicy, and luscious, and I devoured all of it right there, in addition to every piece of pastrami in my Pastrami Fries. A few fries were left behind, because I was already quite full and didn't want to nod off on the road. Diane received 11 Mozzarella Sticks when 9 were expected, and more Fries covered with Cheddar Cheese than she could handle. The fries were abundant, but the cheese was somewhat congealed, and only covered the top layer of fries. Yet who's complaining? We both had plenty to eat, and got our money's worth. The place was clean and comfortable, and we left on our own accord at 9:15 p.m., satiated and ready for a 3-1/2-hour night drive. Food was easily four star in portion size, freshness, and quality. But there were just two many items unavailable when we entered the restaurant to merit higher than an overall three-star rating. Next time I will show up earlier in the day, when everything should be running on all cylinders. And I will arrive very hungry, just as I did on this occasion.
google avatar

Mahogany W.

Yelp
Umm....I am from los angeles and I cant tell you from experience of eating pastrami chili cheese fries and i was not a fan. The cheese didn't look like cheese, the chili didn't taste good and i am not sure but i think that pastrami they used was sandwich meat but that didn't taste well either. I had high hopes for this place but 8 hours later i ended up with bad food poisoning. So try at your own risk
google avatar

Dave O.

Yelp
This place has been around for a long time. I haven't been here in a while but I was craving a greasy burger and this place came to mind especially after seeing it listed on a Eater Vegas list. I got the Big Ass Bacon Burger and the Garlic Romano Fries. A good solid burger just as expected. The fries were exceptional and better than I remembered. I will be back again soon.

Doc D.

Yelp
If you are going for taste, 5 stars. For portions, 5 stars. For price, 2 stars while good and portioned nicely, the food is too expensive. For location and ambience, 2 stars as well. When last I went the little place was very run down, too small tables. They were also VERY slow in getting the meal out. It took forever, and when we did finally get the last sandwich, one of my party was already half way done eating hers.
google avatar

Summer P.

Yelp
The lady working this foul-smelling pastrami joint was hella disrespectful. Looked like she wanted to fight me when we asked for extra forks. Go to open my food, and I see a hair poking out of the sandwich. Not worth $18 for a damn sandwich. Disgusting
google avatar

Marcus O.

Yelp
Had hopes higher than their sandwiches when I saw this joint. Unfortunately, it lives up to 3 stars despite its stardom on all of the foodie channels. This place in a strip mall would make it legitimately a hole in the wall. However, it's a standalone restaurant with the fewest sitting options possible. I think four tables, tops. There was only one lady working there when I went, which made the entire dining experience last about 45 minutes longer than it needed to. I had the chipotle burger which comes stacked with stuff like an egg and french fries. Wow. Good taste, too. The only thing that didn't really live up to the hype was the burger itself. Rubbery, firm, packed. Nothing like what you should expect from a place with these street credz.
google avatar

Andrea K.

Yelp
Drove up and the place looked closed. Someone was inside who said they received a$500 delivery order and wouldn't have any food ready until after 1pm.
google avatar

Oceanbreezer F.

Yelp
Very run down, can't see through the windows and place is just filthy outside. Wouldn't recommend unless you go there to see for yourself.
google avatar

Gary J.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times using Grubhub. Their pastrami and corn beef are excellent!
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
I asked for a hamburger special and they didn't know what I meant. Everywhere in LA they do. Pastrami chili cheese fries pretty good. Hamburger was ok. $35 for chili fries and burger combo is ridiculous
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
The place has been closed the last 3 times i have tried. I have tried different days of the week and different time of day and per plackard it should be open but it is not.
google avatar

Steph J.

Yelp
I ordered on uber eats, the service was super fast. The food on the other hand was so tasteless...it's by far the worst burger I've ever had, never thought you could go wrong with a burger. It was also overpriced, comes with nothing. The meat was overcooked, barely any cheese, grilled onions were huge and not really grilled enough. And it was such a sloppy burger. Ugh.

Tylene G.

Yelp
The food is over priced, and the food was not good, fries where soggy, the strawberry lemonade was not good (too sweet, after taste)... Im surprised for 20+ dollars just for one combo.. why would you put LA and make us look bad
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
I got the LA pastrami burger. The pastrami was good. Note - this is drive in pastrami, not deli pastrami. Two different things. The burger was middle of the road. I would not go out of my way to eat here in future visits, but if I were to drive by, I would just go with the pastrami sandwich and skip the other items.

Samuel G.

Yelp
Sammy's use to be a good lace for pastrami sandwiches not anymore and the fries I didn't like , sad to say they lost their way and the restaurant pretty much is in disarray...
google avatar

jay s.

Yelp
Kinda upset... they used to have the zombie burger here. It's no longer on the menu and when I asked the only worker there about it, I was greeted with such an attitude as if I inconvenienced her with that question. Also the zucchini fries are a complete ripoff for $6!!Unfortunately, there is no substitution for the zombie burger! You will be missed zombie burger!!! This will be my last visit to Sammy's.
