"A colourful, lively and happy place, Santo Remedio takes inspiration from its owner’s time spent in Mexico City, Yucatán and Oaxaca. As soon as you enter, the buzz hits you, with plenty of excited diners enjoying what the kitchen has to offer – namely bright and flavoursome dishes drawing together a selection of tacos, tostadas and flautas (rolled tacos), alongside regional specialities like barbacoa lamb shank from Oaxaca. There’s a wide cocktail selection, too, and the bottomless brunch is a hit on weekends." - Michelin Inspector

Santo Remedio Shoreditch Review - Shoreditch - London - The Infatuation

"Sometimes you simply want to eat carbs after work in a place that’s wrapped in palm print wallpaper and dripping in hanging baskets. Enter Santo Remedio, a Mexican restaurant on Shoreditch’s Great Eastern Street. The low-level lighting and flickering candles will be your best bet to make midweek date night a bit more special among the rowdy after-work crowd, or if you just plan on sitting at the bar and inhaling tostadas like your face is a greedy postbox. These tacos aren’t life-changing but the comfortingly crunchy flautas—fat, crispy cigars of tortilla—and mezcal-heavy cocktails are enough to make you forget that you have to go back to work again in approximately 12 hours." - Sinéad Cranna

London’s Best Tacos and Taquerias for Mexican Food | Eater London

"The SE1 evolution of a much-loved (and short-lived) Shoreditch icon, the Bermondsey Santo Remedio serves vibrant tacos (here soft shelled crab, pork belly, or beef barbacoa), with liberal application of accompanying delights like tomatillo salsas, pickles, serrano mayo, and others, alongside a range of options cooked al carbón, like octopus with achiote and pineapple pico di gallo, or ox tongue with pasilla pipián rojo and roasted peanuts. Now back in Shoreditch with a second, more casual site." - James Hansen

Best Brunch in London | London’s Best Brunches and Brunch Restaurants | Eater London

"Diners can sample chef-proprietor Edson Diaz Fuentes’ personal favourites, including a failsafe hangover cure from his university days in Yucatan: huevos motuleños with salsa roja on tostadas, topped with bacon, cheese, and plantains. Tacos now dominate the brunch offering, sporting soft-shell crab; black beans heady with avocado leaf; and a dessert of churros with cajeta and cinnamon sugar." - Suze Olbrich

London Marathon 2019 | Follow Runners Along the London Restaurant Route | Eater London

"Tower Bridge is one of the route’s most storied and hectic vantage points, so it makes sense to have a retreat planned once the pack has meandered over the Thames. A short stroll down Tooley Street lies London’s best Mexican restaurant, Santo Remedio, waiting with hibiscus margaritas, octopus in achiote and superlative salsas, guacamoles and tacos. There’s a terrace out front for catching some rays." - James Hansen

My experience at this authentic Mexican taco restaurant was unforgettable and unique. The Jamaica juice was my favorite drink. The tacos are so varied and delicious. Thanks in large part to our waitress Jessica, who suggested the best dishes and served us with great kindness and professionalism. I will definitely be back!

A fun casual restaurant in the heart of the city. We had an early reservation and yet the whole restaurant was quickly filled. The cocktail was delicious with great sour and creamy balance. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. She ensured we understood the menu and gave some good recommendations. We ate guacamole with chips, ceviche, soft shell crab taco, pork belly taco and cactus and hibiscus quesadilla. Everything was exquisite and close to traditional Mexican food. It was my first time trying cactus and hibiscus in a meal and I loved it. The pork was melt in your mouth and the guacamole was fresh. The only real let down was the tres leches which was very hard and dense. It felt like it was kept in the fridge too long and not allowed to come to room temp, but also it hadnt soaked up the creamy sauce, so this was not a true reflection of the actual dessert. However I would still return.

The food crafted by the chef was nothing short of amazing – each dish was bursting with freshness, colour, and unique flavours. From the vibrant tostadas to the indulgent dessert, everything was beautifully plated and tasted succulent with every bite. The ingredients were clearly high quality and handled with care, and the service was impressively quick, making the whole experience seamless. A special mention to our waitresses and bartender, Jessica and Joseline – they were absolutely lovely! Friendly, communicative, and always smiling, they added such warmth to the atmosphere. Their bilingual skills (English and Spanish) made everything so easy and welcoming – it was a real pleasure being looked after by them. Santo Remedio is truly a gem – delicious food, outstanding service, and a vibrant, authentic vibe. Can’t wait to come back!

I had been craving good chilaquiles ever since a vacation in CDMX. When I saw this small cafe had chilaquiles and good reviews, I jumped for it. Pretty good decision, honestly. The chilaquiles were good, and the tacos among the better ones I have had in London. They were nice enough to accept half portion orders so I could try more dishes. The house margherita is also pretty decent. I'll check out their Marylebone and London Bridge restaurants with a bigger group
