"Like SpongeBob Square Pants, Santorini is the spot for everything under the sea. Lay off the heavy meat and moussaka and flaming cheese while you’re here. OK, maybe the flaming cheese is good to start with, but Santorini is where we go for fresh fish simply done. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Late last year, the owners of Santorini began soliciting interest with those who might want to purchase their property at the corner of Halsted and Adams. Like other immigrant enclaves across the country, Greektown has changed as many have headed to the suburbs. Development has also reshaped the neighborhood as the mystique of Randolph Restaurant Row helped make real estate prices soar in the West Loop. As restaurants temporarily closed for winter last year, not wanting to deal with the complications of keeping the workplace safe during a pandemic and trying to serve customers during cold weather, there was hope that Santorini would reopen. As birds begin chirping and ice melts around Chicago, some restaurants are returning from hibernation. Santorini is not among them." - Ashok Selvam

Santorini has a lovely ambiance, friendly staff, and decent food. We're picky about sea food and we enjoyed it, but weren't blown away. The grilled octopus was lovely. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the fish I ordered would be crusted, but I was able to pull out enough fish to enjoy it. I've recently begun a gluten-free diet, so I'm still figuring it out. The flavor was good, if a little salty. My husband's fish was better. The side order of dandelion greens wasn't lightly wilted, instead it was a huge mound of sodden greens. I'm sure if we figured out the right items to order we would enjoy going back.

Very much a meh! Octopus and grouper were both way overcooked, the octopus felt like eating chicken. Lemon sorbet and rice pudding were the only good things. Service was really slow too. It was such a long wait until the server came back to offer the dessert menu. Just lot of waiting. I regretted ordering dessert, it took an hour from entrees clearing off the table to finally paying.

Great food, excellent service, awesome prices. We had the swordfish kabobs and sampler, along with the flaming cheese. We would recommend all of it. We could not finish everything, very nice sized portions. All in all our check was less than $50.

Nice service and delicious food. My favorite was the octopus and fried calamari. The fish is good, but not amazing. Decent prices!

Unique dining experience, quick on service. Ordered Chicken Santorini (marinated chicken cooked with marinara sauce served with pilaf) and Greek fries. Suitable for dining with friends and family on weekends. Exceptional on taste and ambience, friendly staff.

I love Greek food, but Greek town is no longer looking real Greek these days. Not that its Santorini's fault, but this place is old and in need of an update; its not really my idea of fine Greek dining. They are known for their red snapper, but they are always out of it. We went a total of 3 times and gosh, we still couldn't get it - SOLD OUT. Must be something special. So I had the shrimp scampi and added pasta to it. My girlfriend had the fish, trout I believe... But see pics, that may assist with identifying what she had...

Food was well seasoned and priced for the most part, although my seafood platter was definitely on the bland side. I'd recommend the octopus, and calamari. Their wine selection is quite good. There are Greek wines in white, red and rosé. They also have some mixed drinks but I didn't try those.
