"Filipino favorites served family-style in a setting that feels like home" - ByThe Bon Appétit Staff
"Sarvida is fun, and the food is straight from Lou Boquila’s heart." - Rachel Vigoda
"Sarvida is a Filipino BYOB in Fishtown from the same people as Perla, but it feels a little different than the South Philly spot. For one, it’s about twice the size, which isn’t saying much considering Perla is the size of a divorcee’s closet. It also has a more sleek look, and an open kitchen setup. You’ll find similar food here, like the calves liver bistek and beef tendon chicharron, but in general Sarvida is serving a smaller menu of dishes that are pretty much all excellent." - Sydney McElwee
"Sarvida is in preview mode on Girard Avenue in Fishtown, testing out the service and flow with friends and family ahead of this Saturday’s official opening. The cozy Filipino restaurant is from Lou Boquila, chef-owner of East Passyunk Avenue’s Perla, which snagged a spot on Eater’s list of 38 essential Philadelphia restaurants. Both are BYOB." - Rachel Vigoda
"Sarvida will open over the summer. For Sarvida (also a BYOB and also named after Boquila’s mom, taking her middle name), the chef is going for a casual vibe, complete with a weekend brunch. Per Philly Mag, the menu will be comprised of small plates, like sweet potato-and-shrimp fritters and spring rolls." - Rachel Vigoda
