"Heights favorite Savoir has reopened its doors with a new chef-owner (whose résumé includes Lucienne, Étoile, and Brasserie du Parc) and a menu that trades the former California wine bar feel for more French-Mediterranean flavors. Expect escargot in garlic-herb butter, duck confit over Toulouse sausage and lentils, and beef cheek agnolotti with fresh black truffles, along with less fancy staples like wood-fired pizzas and burgers. The space has also been refreshed with new art and patio furniture, with plans to revive Patton’s, the hidden steakhouse in back, later on. "Patton’s in The Heights is a restaurant within another restaurant called Savoir. Even though you need a reservation to dine here, it's still incredibly difficult to find. Luckily, the Savoir host will lead you behind the cocktail bar, through a wine storage fridge, and into a space so dark you’ll have to wait for your eyes to adjust to avoid walking straight into a wall. From there, Patton’s functions like any other upscale steakhouse: dry-aged 36oz porterhouse cuts that cost $160, big sides, and the pomp of everything being delivered to your table on a tiny cart." - Chelsea Thomas

"A beloved American bistro in The Heights, Savoir on Yale Street will host pre-dinner cocktails for Patton’s and runs happy hour from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends; reservations are encouraged for pre-dinner service.
