Schmaltz Appetizing

My girlfriend and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon at Schmaltz. She had been here before and wanted to bring me for some fresh bagel sandwiches. They did not disappoint. The shop is tucked around the corner of Dupont and Howland. The bagel shop itself is pretty small but the owners have some good things going on in here! My girlfriend made her own sandwich with Novalox, cucumbers, scallion cream cheese on a sesame bagel. She had no notes for her sandwich. It came to around $24. I had the Klutz sandwich with the hot smoked turkey, scallion cream cheese, mustard and pickles on an everything bagel. It was huge and super tasty!! The bagel was soft and the hot deli meat was tasty and fresh. It came to around $23. The two people that served us were very kind, specifically the man behind the cash register - he was chatty and sweet! Made our experience too notch! At the back, they have a cute little heated patio with big wooden tables where we were able to sit! I would love to come back in the summer to see their outdoor garden patio!!

i stormed through the snow and the slush of torontonian december to come and eat schmaltz appetizing and it was very worth it. the double down latke is an INCREDIBLE invention — the latkes were super thick and dense while crispy at the same time, and the potato-y flavour was strong with a bit of burnt char to it as well. it was LOADEDDD with super CREAMY MILKY and RICH scallion cream cheese that was a bit tangy and a bit acidic and went sooooo well with the perfectly salty smoky salmon and fresh cold juicy onions. the REUBEN is also MINDBLOWING. it was MASSIVE and absolutely STUFFED with lean slices of meaty savoury pastrami and melted swiss cheese. my favourite part was definitely the challah bread though — the exterior was toasted perfectly crisp but the bread itself was SUPER thick and soft and fluffy and was a bit eggy and a bit sweet and it was PERFECT AND INCREDIBLE. so much better than the stale, thin, unremarkable bread that deli sandwiches usually come on. the mustard was sweet and added a strong pungent kick, and the sandwich was also swimming in a very tangy and sweet russian dressing that balanced out the salty meat well. i added a latke to the sandwich and it was definitely the right move. the only thing i was disappointed by was the chocolate babka. it tasted quite stale and old, and the dough wasn’t soft at all, it was mostly crunchy. there was a cinnamon sugar coating and it wasn’t too sweet or chocolatey. im wondering if this was an older batch? i’m upset that i didn’t get to try schmaltz’s babka in all its gooey, freshly-baked glory if that’s the case. also the back patio was basically indoors and it was super cozy and nice.

Definitely one of the best bagel spots in Toronto. A bit out of the way, but worth it. Tried the Chazzer but swapped the salmon for Lemon Dill Gravlox—salty, not just from the salmon but also the fish roe, still tasty. NY-style bagel, chewy and delicious. Highly recommend! I’ll come back and try the Maven Bagel. Back with chazzer again! Try scallion cream cheese and sesame bagel, the sandwich was amazing, but would be better if their staff could listen to customers, they cut my every time when I asked them not to.

Loved the variety of different bagels they have, we got the double smoked wolfhead and sturgeon lox bagel and it was top tier. Also love the seating area, feels like I'm in Northern Ontario!

Schmaltz completely blew my mind. No exaggeration. Pictured is the [Maven] and the [LATKE DOUBLE DOWN] - the star of the show. Its crispy crunch first bite, then the scallion cream cheese which is smooth and perfectly flavoured, then comes the punch of the flavours combined there’s nothing quite like it. This has made it to my top Toronto food items. Schmaltz is a must-try, and I’ll be back very soon for a repeat and for the unassuming patio connected to enjoy your sandwiches and bagels.

Was so excited to give this a shot but so disappointed. The sandwich was really stingy in terms of salmon (see photo) and the latke was far from crispy and honestly tasted stale. $4 for that addition is honestly insane. The babka was also not good - dense and not the greatest quality chocolate.

Decadent variety of sandwiches that never miss! I got the vegan lox on the double down. Do it! Thank me later. Such a fun atmosphere and the service is fast and flawless. Highly recommend!

⭐️BEST⭐️ bagel I’ve ever had. The “Maven” Bagel was absolutely amazing. Cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers on an everything bagel was amazing. The two men there were very welcoming and nice and you could this place was full of Love.

* This review is about their Smoked Salmon only. In my quest for the best smoked salmon in the city, this place always hit my search but I have not had chance to visit until recently. I learned that they carry Smoke Bloke's Nova Lox Smoked Salmon. I happened to run errands in the area so finally got this! Honestly, the smoked salmon was the best I ever had. Natural saltiness, smoky (not overwhelming) and not oily but soft with perfevct amount of natural fat. I saw a lady making sandwiches the other side of glass counter, piling steamy warm pastrami on rye bread. Looked solo Juicy! I had a plan to have lunch elsewhere so I gave up eating here this time. But I should come back!!!

Schmaltz Appetizing, located on Howland Ave near Dupont is the destination for all things bagels, cream cheese, and smoked fish. The small shop is primarily take out only. They have bagels and other sandwiches which you can order at the counter (made fresh!) as well as other items that you can purchase. There is a small section of the shop where you can enjoy your sandwiches. I've had Schmaltz Appetizing before at their previously opened location at Ossington and Dundas. Since I was in the Dupont area I figured I would stop by as well for a sandwich. This time I ordered the Maven (classic bagel with lox, cream cheese, onions, and capers). I ordered at the counter, paid and picked up my bagel at a reasonable time. Service was friendly. My bagel sandwich was delicious. A bit pricey but you can definitely tell the high quality of the fish. The bagel was loaded and made well. Definitely would return for more bagels if I'm around Dupont! A must try if you love bagels, cream cheese and smoked fish!

Very casual deli vibe with some seating in the back. Exceptionally clean which is how I like any place that handles fish. The woman making the sandwiches was very kind to explain all the different types of fish on the menu. I ended up just going with the smoked salmon and it was delicious - I expected a little more filling but the quality was excellent. They seem like they have fresh coffee which was very popular with their customers but I didn't try it. Will visit again if I'm in the area.

The bagel sandwiches are better than any I've ever had (including in NYC) Lovely food, great service, kind people. They also love puppies, a big bonus in my book. We went one day when it was raining & still stayed dry eating on their deck. 10/10 recommend

I come here for the Chazzer bagel. Pastrami Gravlax, horseradish creamed cheese, salmon caviar on a sesame bagel. EVERY TIME without a doubt I eat this. One of favs

Oh my, it's like Russ & Daughters moved from the Lower East Side to the Far North...sorta. A friend of mine recommended this spot, and as it turned out, it was right around the corner from the restaurant I was really interested in trying, Fat Pasha. But hell, since we were here anyway, a little sample of the Nova Salmon wouldn't hurt, am I right? Don't judge me. Schmears. Schlimazels. I was peckish, you should pardon the expression. The young staffer was so nice to us she gave us a couple of slices each. Oy gevalt! So tasty that we wished we had room to order a bagel with the salmon piled high. Alas, what we decided to get was four slices to go for about C$18. Pricey? Sure. High quality? You bet your genechtagazoink. And for C$1.50 more, we got a giant Kosher pickle (photo: http://bit.ly/2xz9olm). You need a vegetable after all. Hands down, Schmaltz appetizing is the best in the city when it comes to lox in the city. Ordered the maven sandwich and it did not disappoint. The bagel had a nice texture and bounce with each bite, cream cheese was perfect, smoked salmon and capers also was perfect. This was definitely a filling sandwich, shared the other half and I was beyond satisfied. Came back 2 weeks later to try the chub chub and again, not disappointed. I'd recommend trying to chub chub, this is my go to sandwich moving forward. One of the things I like most about Schmaltz is the service. Friendly staff, painless online ordering process, and most important, it's fast. Ordered and picked up within 20 minutes, crushed the sandwich within 30 minutes of ordering. AMAZING

This is the closest place to Russ and Daughters (NYC) that I have ever been to. The Deli and smoked fish game in Canada is alive and kicking. Phenomenal smoked fish (and fresh fish for sale) sliced while you wait by a skilled fish monger. I highly recommend the classic. Some of the best smoked salmon that I have had. Limited seating and parking but worth the Trek!

I'm constantly buying their lemon dill salmon gravlax and capers to eat with toast for breakfast. It's not too salty and has a really great dill flavour! I haven't been able to find anywhere else in the city that sells dill gravlax. Unfortunately their items here are all pretty pricey. The gravlax is all great quality so it's understandable.

This spot was on the list of places to try for a bit. However I was disappointed by what I had here. I tried the wolfhead smoked salmon on a pumpernickel. I let the sales person choose the toppings of capers, red onion and plain cream cheese. For good measures I grabbed a cold brew coffee as well. The place is small and has minimal seating outside. Now for starters the bagel was quite bad (I am a bit spoiled by the fresh bagels offered by the competition) and inedible on the edges. I tried to salvage it by just focusing on the salmon which is good. The other items are just run of the mill. At this price point I would skip

Loved this place: simple, friendly, delicious. Small menu and it was all done well. I hope that the jalapeño cheddar special cream cheese becomes a permanent item!

A real authentic place. Great sandwiches. They let us climb in and get food close to their closing time.

Delicious bagel sandwiches. Many to choose from or customize to your liking. The current owners of this quaint unassuming restaurant are so friendly and proud to have served the local community since 2014. Definitely want to return to sample more of the menu!!

I LOOOOVE SMOKED SALMON AND LOOOOVE CREAM CHEESE BAGELS! What better place to have it at than here! There are a good selection of smoked/cured fish and 3 types of cream cheese (all that probably taste wonderful). If I could come here everyday to have the smoked/cured fish and try every single one I would! I had the Nova Lox bagel (don't recall the name on the menu) but it was juuuust awesoooooome! LITERALLY yummy in my tummy! When things are yummy I could have 2 of them...and I wish I did but let's not get too carried away now :P Service was swift and friendly which is great if you are a grab-and-go kind of style person. They also have like a points-like card where after buying a certain number of bagels you get something at the end so be sure to start one up! They also do have a place to sit next to the shop that is like an outdoor patio if you wanna gobble the bagel up before going on your way. Well what are you waiting for? Go indulge those smoked/cured fish and bagel senses!

Gather around lil' kids. The old man is about to tell a story This is Customer Service (read to the end to understand) I visit Schmaltz Appetizing last weekend and BOY i was excited. Ive been on a lox cream cheese bagel trip for the last few weeks mmmmmmmmmmmmm hallelujiah. My girlfriend told me we should go there since its own by the same people as Fat Pasha and we had such a lovely time there, great food and customer service. Well... Ive experienced the worst customer service of my life. But first. The bagel was splendid. That bagel was $12 and well, it was worth it. The richness of the salmon. out of this world. You know when you eat something savoury that is so good it feels like you are eating desserts. Mmmm delicious amazing. Unfortunately this bagel was served with rudeness and frustration over things i cant control and a general negative vibe. I went to talk to the manager and as soon as she saw i had a bad experience, she took me aside, and ask me what happened. I want to personally congrats courtney for her devotion to excellence, taking action, caring about the experience of her guests and going above and beyong to make this right. This is the kind of people we need running restaurant, retail store or any customer facing business. This is the winning attitude. I was quite done with the bagel place before i talk to courtney and well she was so caring for the experience that happened in her restaurant, she didnt wait or find excuses, she apologies and fix the issue. Courtney, thank you so much for your commitment to excellence, i will see you soon for more bagels and hummus, because this is how loyaulty is created. Not when everything goes right, but when something goes wrong, but the people make it right for you, because then you know, they care.

We ordered the Chazzer and the Chop chop. Their horseradish cream cheese is delightful. They carry lox marinated in beetroot, lemon-dill, pastrami-smoked style lox. There's a small patio on the side of their store where you can sit and enjoy your bagel. They're also opening a new location on Dundas.

Went for take out on a hot Saturday. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly, immediately offering to explain things to us. We ended up deciding to split a chub chub on a toasted poppy seed bagel, and a chazzer on a toasted everything bagel. We were never offered options of adding additional items (onions, tomatoes, etc) to these bagels so I'm not sure if they offer that or not; they sort of rushed us to pay while the dude finished making our bagels. They don't have any still water in their fridge, so we shared a sparkling water. We were stupid and ended up sitting on a lone bench outside, but learned AFTER eating our meals that there is actually patio seating specifically for Schmaltz, so don't be like us. Be better. The bagels were really good. First, I hate bagels. So for me to say that is a big deal. They weren't too heavy and the toast was light, which I appreciate because...I also hate toasted bread. I'm the worst. Anyway, they were good. I preferred the everything bagel which surprised me because I'm usually a traditional poppyseed kind of girl. We started with the chub chub. My dining companion felt like he got less lox (beet lox!) in his half, but I think that's because he also didn't realize there is whitefish in there. It certainly isn't a ton of lox. However, I still really enjoyed it. Next, the chazzer. At first we were going to get pastrami lox w cream cheese, but for a dollar extra you can get roe. I LOVE ROE. For those of you that don't know, roe is fish eggs, and these were the big, beautiful, ikura kind. OMG this was a beautiful thing. I absolutely loved this bagel. All in all, I would definitely be back for take out of either pre-made food or food to assemble at home.

This charming bagel shop behind Fat Pasha on Dupont wants to be Toronto's answer to Russ and Daughters in New York. Unfortunately, it lacks the perfection and balance of the original. We had the Chazzer with smoked pastrami gravalax and the Heeb with salmon salad and hot peppers. I believe the bagels are from Kiva's which are very large, bready, and not particularly my favourite. I found both sandwiches to be overly acidic and unbalanced. I didn't get a lot of fish flavour on either. Staff were friendly, and there was a little patio out back. It's pricey, but the portions are huge. It's a cool spot, but I think I'll stick to my Gryfe's!

My favorite place in the area, a hidden gem, there are no big signs in the street so you need to know. I lived 2 years beside it without knowing, I was missing our! One bagel sandwich will definitely fill like a real meal. They are quite generous on the (good quality) ingredients. The bagels are nice, fresh and big, the salmon tastes amazing and is nicely flavored, I recommend and will definitely go back.

This place is a takeout joint with patio seating in the back that they share with fat pasha customers. A 3.5 for me. Essentially a lox and bagel place that resembles some of the Jewish New York ones I used to go to when I lived there. The fish was very good but my main knock is that the bagels are pretty average. They're very doughy and thick bagels. They're not really chewy but more like dense bread. I suppose this is good for sandwich purposes to keep everything together. The counter people and cashier were both very nice. They were helpful and helped us pick our bagels. Two of their speciality bagels came out to be about $22 which is decent. I would come back for another sandwich. Not sure if they even sell bagels by itself but it's definitely not the place for it.

Ethereal Smoked Fish As a lifelong lover of fish, I am always looking for another and innovative offering. Schmaltz is just that place. Primarily because they smoke fish onsite but in ways, you probably haven't tried before. Two standouts from my visit were the lemon dill and beetroot infused smoked salmon ($10.99 w. a shmear of cream cheese on a bagel). Their bagels are sourced from Toronto icon: Kiva's. Which don't produce my definition of a bagel. Montreal bagels are the real thing! However, they are baked daily and you'd be hard-pressed to find fresher ones. The location not so easy to find! But persist as they have a DuPont street address but you enter off of Bathurst.

The food scene on Dupont keeps on getting better and better every year. I do agree with Mark H's comments about the ingredients inside the bagel surpassing the actual bagel - there is definitely room for improvement here. Yet I want to express my gratitude for having a deli spot in the hood, even a small one, that offers good fish, latkes, pickles, rugelach, blintzes, and other delights. They also do catering. Thanks, Mr. Rose! Ms. Baker looks forward to Bar Begonia and the backyard bocce court. Update: The bagels are brought in daily from Kivas and if you get them while they're fresh, they are great!

My sole reason of venturing into the Dupont neighbourhood was for this cute little joint! (Will definitely be returning). My friend heard that they have one of the best bagels in town, and boy-oh-boy was that so true. My friend and I both had the Chub-Chub. It's a smoked whitefish salad, gravlax horseradish cream cheese with dill cucumber. I chose their everything bagel because they ran out of poppy seed :'( We also had the Latkes which was very delicious and served warm! I also had the Rugelach, which unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of. The presentation was great but, it's probably just not my cup of tea. I definitely will be coming back and potentially try everything they have, because everything sounded so delicious (and also to try that poppy seed bagel)!

Very disappointed with customer service. Tried ordering the Cottage Getaway platter for a friend's birthday through their website, but it's jammed at the date/time input - every time i enter the date and time, it doesn't input and says information is missing to complete the order. I tried using my phone, and computer (both firefox and chrome) multiple times, to no avail - same message every time. Called the store to ask for help and/or to order directly from them and was told website is fine and they can't take my order. Very disappointing - you guys should help out someone trying to place a 100$ order.

Last morning in Toronto, and was craving a good bagel. After reading several reviews of other places, decided on this here delicious place. Good Things come in small packages. Originally ordered the chub chub which was great! Also sampled a bite of the tuna fish on a bagel which was simple but very flavorful. We sat in the car and tried the bagels, didn't finish what we ordered and went back to get some spreads to go. Definitely worth the 30 minute drive out of the way back to Philly. Try tho place if you're looking for great tasting bagels! They are pretty pricey, and I think their menu needs updating in regards to prices because our order came to $29 for two bagels and two cold drinks.

Was greeted as soon as we walked in and both gentlemen at the counter were friendly enough to explain what they offered and their preferences. Bagel itself was great, would definitely recommend the Chub Chub as its full of flavour and I love whitefish. Also, would choose everything bagel over poppyseed bagel. Would def come back, we saw the patio beside this joint but wasn't sure if it was for the restaurant next door. After reading will have to check it out next time! $20+ for 2 bagels

I love coming here for the bagel sandwiches! I once had an amazing customized bagel with their smoked herring (which I am a total fan of). Their chub chub bagel is one of their best sellers and I can see why. The smoked salmon and the light cream cheese with the addition of pickled cucumbers... mmmm. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Whenever we're in the area, my fiancé and I always make an effort to drop in since it's the only place in the GTA that we're aware of that dedicates themselves to smoked fish bagel sandwiches! The last time we came here, we sat out back on the patio and one of the guys setting up for dinner was really nice and gave us some water and extra napkins! The staff here want to make your experience as best it can be and will give you suggestions if you're totally lost with their menu.

I was feeling exceptionally lazy and our fridge was super empty on a holiday morning so I decided to order us some breakfast via Uber Eats (I recognize this to be ridiculous but my millennial self feels it was worth every penny lol). We opted for a couple of bagels, a pickle and the bakermans square. Bagels were great - chewy and flavourful. The pickle was perfect, super sour (so good). The square was freaking incredible. Try it!! Everything was totally delicious except they completely forgot my smoked salmon (stuff happens!) When I called, the gentleman was apologetic and said he would give me a credit for next time. He also kindly offered to deliver another bagel immediately but by this time I was starving so will be back to visit in person soon. Looking forward to trying the salmon!

Tried this place for the first time and I am very happy with it. The bagels are delicious, the guy working at the front counter is very friendly, knowledgable about his product and funny. He made the experience for me and my boyfriend. Also got to taste test 2 of the types of lox which was very helpful in deciding. The pricing is okay but the product is worth paying for, around $10 a sandwich which is fairly average. We also tried thier potato latkes which were a delicious appetizer and served warm. My boyfriend got the beet lox and I got the pastrami. We also got the cold pressed coffee, an interesting drink. Overall would recommend trying this place.

Decided to visit this place because of all the great reviews on the bagels and lox. When we arrived, the exterior had what we assumed would be a great, peaceful vibe. However, I wouldn't recommend this place solely on the customer service. They were rude, and rushed our order, without bothering to explain the options, or making any recommendations. When we asked them what the choices were, the answers were rushed and quite curt. For the food, Bagel was a little on the stale side, and it couldn't be made better with the average-tasting cream cheese, though the salmon was decent.

Love this place. It's around the corner from our house and a go to brunch spot. My fave is the chub chub or the kvetch.

Excellent smoked salmon! Cannot say how delicious my sandwich was, they do make you pay 25 cents for toppings but if you keep it simple it's really nice and they do load them in.

After living in NYC for 10 years, and frequenting all the hot bagel places, I know good lox and bagels when I have them. The bagel was small, and left much to be desired. The salmon and toppings were delicious though, but it did not make up for the poor service, and lack of professionalism. The guy who worked behind the counter was pompous and rude. A lox snob if you will. He was patronizing and condescending when we asked questions about the different bagels, as if we should have fully understood each and every menu ingredient before even stepping foot inside. I would never go back to a place where they treat the customers this way, no matter how good they think their food is.

Easily the best BAGEL place in the 6ix. The same owners of Fat Pasha however they really did a great job with this place. You gotta try the different bagels each time you go. I loved the Chubb Hubb!

I love their chopped liver bagel and latkes. Good food and excellent service. Not cheap but worth every dollar

Had the best sammy here the other day! I byob-ed (build-your-own-bagel), and ordered up a toasted everything bagel with horseradish cream cheese, beet-cured gravlax, red onion, capers and a sprinkle of black pepper. Walked over to Christie Pits, sat down and opened up the most photogenic sandwich ever. The bright beet gravlax was delectable, with an earthy element and I loved the combo of ingredients... whoever thought of that is a genius. Yes, this place is certainly pricey when you consider single sandwich vs. purchasing all the goods yourselves. But, they are pulling out all the stops with the specialty options like pastrami-style smoked salmon and lemon-dill gravlax. It feels worth it. Bite into it.

This is a great bagel shop with plenty of savory options, highly recommend the chub chub. It's a nice big filling sandwich. Laid back place with limited but available seating. I would definitely go back again -- the self serve coffee is a big plus.

I came all the way from the east end to give the Maven bagel a try. It is amazing so fresh and so filling! If you love smoked salmon you have to give this place a go.

Another one of the Rose and Sons properties dominating Dupont Street, Schmaltz Appetizing is tucked in an easily missable storefront behind Fat Pasha (and yet another from Anthony Rose), which reveals itself to be a decent gourmet lunch option in the area that lacks such a thing (if you attend the nearby GBC campus, yeah, there's very little in terms of good food places in the area thus far). The tiny takeout shop lacks seating of any kind, save for maybe the patio shared with Fat Pasha. I'm not much a fan of bagels, never mind bagel sandwiches. But even if you absolutely hate bagels, it makes no difference what kind of bagel you choose, because the things they put in it to make your sandwich will own the whole meal and make you forget it's all held in place by two halves of a damned bagel. Watch as fresh fish gets sliced to make your sandwich, then watch as you salivate with each bite! Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area to check out. There are simpler and customizable options with your choice of fish, or not even. Predesigned schmaltz bagel sandwich choices are definitely a go-to for those who can't think. The Chazzer ($10) oozes goodness with the horseradish cream cheese and spillover of salmon roe caviar, all while the gravlax slices seals the experience. The Chub Chub ($9) is decent too with the pickle-y taste of dill adding savoury flavour. {TTC: 26 bus to Howland, or a short walk west from Dupont subway station}

Yo wallahi , the smoked meat was lit, i got me a basil soup too, fire. My man enjoyed his hamburger n fries, bare ratings from him. The owners were mad chill, remind me of my dukes biz back home. Whole ting ran me about 13 bones. Bare ratings for the place, three outta 5 no forest styl

Quick and friendly service! There was a lineup out the door but within 10 minutes we ordered and already had our bagels in hand. They were not skimpy on the salmon. My only wish is that they had more cream cheese options.

Holy mother of bagels and smoked salmon - this is delicious!! I ordered the Chazzer for today. Had it on pumpernickel. As soon as I had my first bite, I fell in love. The salmon roe popped in my mouth. The salmon was so rich and tasty. The horseradish cream cheese scared me because of the name. But I really enjoyed it as it melded with all the flavours. The women who worked there this morning were friendly. I got some salmon and pickled beets to bring home. It won't last me too long! I'll definitely come back a lot more often than I want to due to my salmon addiction. P.S. It's not pronounced Chaz-zer. More like Khazzer. I felt pretty silly when I heard them pronounce it the right way!

I was told about Schmaltz a few years ago, and now I go all the time! The Lox are amazing, their bagels are dense and the people that work there are always very friendly!

I was extremely disappointed by the Schmaltz Appetizing. Upon my arrival into the store, I was greeted with a 10 minute wait prior to even being acknowledged. Thereafter I was mislead by what seemed like a straight forward menu. The menu stated that a bagel with lox and cream cheese would cost 6$ and I ended up paying $13.65 for my one bagel with smoked salmon. To summarize, if I am paying 15$ for a bagel you best massage my feet when I walk into the store, as opposed to ignoring me and making me wait 20 minutes for my food. Also please do not charge me 15$ for 100 grams of fish unless the salmon was caught by Jesus himself. ( Please note: The bagel was good, but not 20 minute wait 15$ good) Thanks for your time, I hope you find this review useful.

Ordered a $5.99 sesame bagel with tuna and a $2 latke. Grand total $9.02 I got a poppyseed bagel with generic, just ok tuna salad (no lettuce, tomato, etc.) and had to return for the missing latke. Having just opened, those miscues are expected and not a big deal. But the prices, oy veh! Never thought, I say this but the Subway next door is by far the better value.
