"There aren’t many days out of the week that there isn’t a line snaking out of the building or a waitlist less than an hour long at Scrambled. The fine dining roots of the diner’s former iteration, Josephine’s, show clearly on the menu. Whether it’s in the crab cake Benedict with spinach and sherry fondue, the stacks of golden brown pancakes with lacy edges, or the buttery biscuits and gravy, this perennial brunch spot is the one to visit." - Sara Akhavan, Kay West, Matt Lardie, Kathleen Purvis, Nikki Miller-Ka

This spot was a cute spot to try. It was definitely busy when we went but as much as I wanted to love the place, at the end of the day it was just ok. I had the Rosemary Ham skillet, cheese grits and Gluten free French toast. I will say the French toast was delicious. I would definitely recommend that. It’s not often gluten free French toast is an option and the bread they chose was very good. The cheese grits were on the salty side and the skillet was good but I guess I was expecting more flavor and it just fell a little flat. The service was excellent and it was a cute spot.

Wait time was long, but staff members were nice. Parking is challenging. I ordered the French toast, eggs, chicken and grits. The grits were really good but a little too thick. The fried chicken was dry, bland, lacked flavor and was cold. The French toast was salty, which was very confusing. Why would French toast be salty? The eggs were good and cheesy. I wanted pancakes but their grill was down and they were not selling pancakes which was very disappointing since that was the main reason I went. Since hearing such good things about this place, my experience was below expectations.

In Greensboro there are many places to have breakfast or brunch but this place has so many different items to choose from, you have to visit multiple times to sample everything. The only 2 negative items that I can say about here is the parking is atrocious, so you either have to street park, if you're lucky find a spot in their 10 car lot. The other downside is that they will not let you sit down until your whole party is there, even if you are meeting someone you have to watch everyone get sat before you and you hope that it doesn't fill up by then. After perusing the menu I opted to go with the shrimp and grits because it's a classic brunch dish. I would say of you choose here for breakfast either get here right when they open or come later for brunch. Overall it was a great breakfast place that I will dine in again.

Food is delicious and plentiful from eggs to pancakes and waffles. Best coffee at any Triad eatery. Fun atmosphere with clever signs, tables, bar, outside cafe. Only negatives are metal chairs are not comfortable, parking can be challenging due to popularity and the wait time is very long on weekends. Use the on-line wait list and enjoy.

Me and family stopped by Saturday evening for lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. When and if we ever come this way we will definitely be back.

I ordered a tenders kids meal… they were cooked in old grease and tasted like it (I thought it was gizzards at first bc of how knarled they look). Overall my meal of corned beef over 3 potatoes left MUCH to be desired as far as taste. The scrambled eggs were amazing though! But def not worth the parking hassle

If you're ever in Greensboro, NC, there's a foodie experience you must try! The place is called Scrambled Southern Diner The Fried Green Tomatoes are incredibly delicious! They're laid on a smoked gouda pimento cheese spread, then topped with olive oil, balsamic onion jam, crumbled sausage and chopped green onions Unbelievable well-balanced flavor combination! The atmosphere was set perfectly! The service was a 10 out of 10! #Foodie #Greensboro #NC ☺️❤️

Google
Such a cute diner with fast service. We went here after a graduation at Elon and got a delicious brunch. I ordered the classic breakfast with grits and a biscuit and it was so good! If i'm ever back in the area I would come again!

Yelp
Very yum! Fast and friendly service. You might have to wait a little bit but it's worth it!

Yelp
Food is always on point! Great vibes and great drinks. Definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious birthday brunch here with my wife and some friends! It had been many years since I had last visited and it sure did live up to the memories I have of it! We learned that they have a waitlist sign in through their Yelp page which saved a lot of headache. When we got there, the line was all the way down the side of the building, but we walked right in, to the hostess and only had to wait a few minutes. The service was quick, staff attentive to our needs, and the food was delicious. I got the Night Night Skillet and it was fantastic, very filling and tided me over nearly until dinner. I also had a pineapple mimosa, they had several juice options to pick from when making a mimosa. Highly recommend, and hope to be back soon!!

Yelp
I've tried this place twice and both times the food was good and plentiful. Service wasn't sufficient the second time because the hostess skipped over our place in line. The aesthetics of the restaurant is simple but pleasant. I will return but will keep checking with the hostess for my place in queue.

Yelp
Scrambled southern diner is a staple on Spring Garden Street here in Greensboro. On every occasion, I've been I've had food of the highest quality. My most recent visit I came to the restaurant around 1 PM on a Sunday with no reservation. One downside about this restaurant is you should expect a lengthy wait especially on a weekend in regardless of weather or time of year. They do a good job of updating the waiting list and estimating the time that you will have but I would expect at least an hour, so don't go super hungry. Seating within the restaurant is tight as it is a small location and it is consistently packed . on my most recent visit, I set alone at the bar and despite being extremely busy and overworked staff was still kind engaging and made sure that my food was exactly to order. This restaurant is highly recommended and always a good spot to take people for a southern breakfast when they coming to the city.

Yelp
I love that they have a waitlist on Yelp. Makes joining the waitlist a lot easier since you don't have to be at the restaurant. I wish the wait times were accurate though. We were told that the wait would be 15-30min and we ended up waiting a little over an hour. The food was good but nothing really special. I got the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict with a side of cheesy grits. The eggs benedict was slightly overcooked. One of them was cooked over hard (eggs didn't run at all) and the other one was probably closer to medium and ran like I expected it to. The crab cake flavor paid well with the tomato hollandaise sauce. I was a little surprised by the cheesy grits when they first game out. I was expecting something a little more liquidy like traditional grits but these grits were very firm. Almost reminded me of a mashed potato type consistency. It tasted really good though! The service was good for a breakfast restaurant during brunch. Our server was running around a lot but made sure to take some time to check in with us from time to time. The restaurant seemed a little dark and dingy compared to your average brunch spot. One thing worth noting is that we saw a dead cockroach near the bathrooms by one of the doors. Not taking any stars off because I'd like to think that it came from outside and died after stepping in some insecticide, but I obviously can't confirm that.

Yelp
This popular breakfast spot gets pretty busy and it's normal for the line is out the door during prime breakfast & brunch hours. But despite how busy it gets, the staff manages to check everyone in and keep track of the waitlist. It was also apparent that the host and wait staff communicate with each other to not lose track of who is next in line. Once seated, you'll see some fun art and decorations throughout. The menu adds beyond the usual eggs and pancakes with other specials and skillet meals. I ordered the Night Night skillet that was brought out in a hot skillet pan and the portion was a good size, possibly enough for two people to share. The combination of the crumbled, sausage, bacon, and cheesy grits within the eggs made it the perfect breakfast dish. The house-made strawberry jam that came on the side was the perfect sweet complement to the English muffin. I ordered a Bloody Mary had a good balance of spice and fresh celery. The experience was well worth the wait which was only about 15 minutes. The food is outstanding, and the staff handles the rush with ease.

Yelp
What a wonderful brunch spot!!! We got on the waiting list o line and were able to walk right in and get a table. It's not a huge place, but plenty of space. They also have a bar area. The service was great!! Mimosas for brunch are always a plus, and they have a great menu of cocktails. The food was great. I ordered over medium eggs and they were cooked perfectly. French toast was sooooo good and the bacon was super crispy. We also shared the fried green tomatoes and they were wonderful. Definitely would recommend for brunch!

Yelp
There was not a lot of parking so we had to park behind some houses, looks like additional parking for the restaurants over there, if not, I guess you can park on the side street. We had a slight wait but were seated and greeted by our lovely server who was patient, helpful, and attentive to the table. When our meals came everything looked so good and at first taste, everything tasted soooo good. The French toast had a slight crisp to it and everything else was good (eggs, bacon, and cheese grits). Everyone enjoyed their meals. The shrimp and grits were really good, the shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the gravy was amazing. Those who got the Catfish just commented on how small it was but otherwise said everything g they received was good ( mac n cheese, collards, and hash browns). We did order biscuits on the side and they gave us 3 jellies to sample, amazing. All 3 were good but blueberry was the best. Definitely worth coming here for breakfast. I can see this place being packed on weekends.

Yelp
Forgot to leave a review the last time I was in town but the brunch here is amazing. I had something with fried green tomatoes and they were fantastic. The ambiance is very cute and the service was fast and polite. Can't go wrong with the food. My friends who have lived in GSO have all raved about this place and for a good reason. Don't miss this spot if you're in town! I'm already looking forward to being back :)

Yelp
We loved everything about this place. We got there for sunday brunch and it was packed, yet service was fast and efficient. Our server gave great recommendations, food came out promptly and it was delicious. Large portions for sure you can share. It felt like having breakfasts at grandmas house after a holiday when all the family gets together.

Dana S.

Yelp
The shrimp & grits are delicious. The pancakes are Hugh. The service is good. And the ambiance is small but cozy.

Yelp
We've been wanting to stop in at Scrambled for quite some time but are rarely in Greensboro during the breakfast hours. Located in the Lindley Park area of Greensboro the neighborhood is cute and charming. There is a parking lot designated for Scrambled customers but we noticed there is also another large parking lot across the street which doesn't seem to be utilized as much. Since we've never visited before we parked across the street and crossed Spring Garden Street. We entered the door nearest the street. It opened into a hallway near the restrooms and we quickly determined the main entrance is at the rear of the building. My wife stopped in at the restroom since we walked right past them and I proceeded to the hostess stand since we had taken advantage of the waitlist feature on Yelp. When I approached the hostess stand I told the young woman we are a party of 2 but she didn't let me finish and quickly asked me where the rest of my party was. She told me that my entire party needs to be here in order to be seated. I told her my wife stopped in the restroom and she was quick to dismiss me and proceeded to grab menus for the other couple in line behind me. Once upon a time I worked in the food service industry and I understand the need and desire to flip tables in order to maximize the number of meals and tables served on a daily basis. However, the young woman working the hostess station was slightly rude and instead of taking a moment to acknowledge me and let me tell her we were also on the Yelp waitlist she quickly turned and helped the other couple in line. My wife joined me at the hostess stand a minute or two later and I told her the basics of my experience. When the hostess returned my wife let her know that our party of 2 was now there and she grabbed menus and we were seated. Fortunately, the Yelp waitlist appeared to not be necessary this particular time of the morning. We were seated at a small table and the interior is cute and appears clean and well taken care of. In addition to the approximate 35 or so tables inside the dining room there is a bar area with room for about 8. We are unsure if the bar area is first come, first serve. Our drink orders were taken immediately and we were provided menus. The menu consists of skillets and omelets, house specialties such as fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits, benedicts, breakfast platters, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches, everything sounded delicious! We each decided to order a skillet. All skillets are prepared with two eggs - any style, choice of hashbrowns or cheddar grits and choice of bread. My wife chose the country style skillet with crumbled sausage, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, sausage gravy and scallions. I chose the night night skillet with country sausage, bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, and peppers. I asked if I could have the sausage gravy versus the red eye gravy and was told that wasn't a problem by our server. The interior was humming with activity, all of the tables were occupied and they appeared to be adequately staffed. Our food arrived quickly and both skillets were served in cast iron pans which we thought was a cool touch. Everything looked great and our server was friendly and efficient. We both really enjoyed each and every bite of our skillets, they were very delicious! We also thought the prices were reasonable as well. After our meal we walked through the rear entrance which leads to a small outdoor area as well as the covered patio areas closer to Spring Garden. This would have been an easy 5 star experience but we are deducting one star for the not so pleasant hostess. We will absolutely come again and look forward to bringing visiting friends or family to Scrambled as well. Delicious!

Yelp
Exceptional service and food. Other than crowded seating , this place is great . I would definitely recommend trying this place for your own experience.

Linda P.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast experiences ever! My Fried Green Tomato Benedict was the best Benedict I've ever had! The waffles were insanely tasty with hot syrup and the Forester omelet (mushrooms, Brie cheese, truffle oil, tofu was uniquely scrumptious! Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you're in Greensboro, you HAVE to stop at this restaurant! Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Based off the menu it seems like it'd just be another normal breakfast place but let me tell you, it definitely is not. The food here is AMAZING. Everything is very reasonably priced as well. This visit, I had the night night skillet. The flavors pair perfectly together! I normally am not a big breakfast person but if I could eat this for breakfast everyday, I happily would! This restaurant is a must visit if you're in the Greensboro area.

Aniya E.

Yelp
Dine in | Brunch | $10-20 No complaints here. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. They were busy on a Sunday morning of course, that's expected. The wait was over an hour which was fine as I joined the waitlist while in church. Parking is tight and limited. The host stand entrance is also at the back of the restaurant, and not through the first door in the front so l would take note of that. Pretty neat spot for breakfast. One note: The seats were very uncomfortable! But nothing not worth visiting again. Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sausage Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free parking lot, Free street parking Parking: Located beside Hops Burger Bar which is a popular busy spot as well.

Divya A.

Yelp
I joined the online waitlist at 10:20 am Saturday and it said 55 to 70min wait. We arrived close to 12pm and were seated within 5mins so i highly recommend the online waitlist as it gets pretty busy. Indoor seating is low lighting so we sat in the patio which was lovely. Lots of food options for brunch, i went for the black bean Benedict which was 10/10 very good. Especially the tomato-hollandaise, delicious! I chose hashbrowns for side and that was good too. One star off for the coffees- as you can see, both drinks are indistinguishable. The latte did have a mild mocha flavor. But it was overall underwhelming, served on the colder side of the"just right" warm. I might not order hot beverages here next time.

Rachel F.

Yelp
Scrambled Southern Diner is a must-visit gem! Although it was very busy, I recommend getting on the waitlist early to avoid a long wait. The ambiance is reminiscent of a classic diner but with an upscale twist on the dining options. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were absolutely delicious with Gouda pimento cheese and a sausage tomato jam. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy, and the Chicken Little Benedict was cooked to perfection. We can't wait to return and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

Rosa O.

Yelp
The food is delicious. However, this place is very popular so expect waiting on line to be sited. The service is decent. But because they are so busy it will take a while for your server to check on you. The ambiance is crazy. This place gets so busy that it gets crowded and very hot in the waiting area. It is definitely worth the wait.

Melissa Z.

Yelp
Food and service were wonderful. The chicken little was recommended but the server who was incredibly friendly and attentive. I took her recommendation and it was on point. The bit of fried chicken with the egg and biscuits and sausage gravy was a wonderful combination. The Caramel latte was on point too! Very very good! The shrimp and grits was a new take on them with full chunks of onion and peppers to season and it was very good as well. The grits are cheddar grits and were very smooth and creamy. It was a great meal and we will be returning as new people in the area.

Melissa L.

Yelp
For starters I ordered the fried green tomatoes. It came with onion jam, crumbled sausage and smoked Gouda pimento cheese. It was soooooo good!! The tomatoes were crispy and not soggy which I like. I ordered a sangria mimosa which was good with pineapple flavors. Finally I ordered the shrimp and grits. I enjoy shrimp and grits, but this was just not for me. They make their grits, very buttery and top it with mixed vegetables sausage and a brown gravy. The shrimp was very fishy also. It did not pair well with my taste buds. I feel it would've been better if the shrimp would have been grilled and not so fishy and less butter in the grits. Overall, the atmosphere was really cool and staff was super polite. I checked out other tables and what they ordered and the food looked great. I definitely will be back to try other items.

Kim G.

Yelp
It is best to reserve a table in advance prior to coming. I reserved through the Yelp app and we were able to keep track of our place in line. Highly recommend doing this in advance. We still had to wait even after checking in, but that is to be expected. They are typically busy. There is a parking lot across the street and along the side street. Yes, this is one of the best breakfast/brunch places in Greensboro. My review will be no different than any one else's, but I'll share my awesome experience. The host was friendly and the waiters are top notch. This lady spilled water beside our table and they swarmed to clean it before I could finish blinking my eyes. It is a smaller place, so the seating in some areas are fairly close. The decor is cute. The food is served on porcelain dishes. Everything taste fresh and is cooked as you like it. I ordered the classic platter. I added peppers on my hush browns. It was so good. The sausage...my heavens...I don't know where they get these from but I was getting full and I forced myself to finish them. Yes, I could have probably taken the last one home, but no I needed to eat them all right then and there. Lol The coffee was exquisite. My daughter's French toast with strawberries looked amazing. When the plate was coming to our table, it caught several eyes. I could hear some whispers saying "I want that..." She finished them and said they were delicious. Go. Period.

Yelp
I want to start this by saying, Today 5/23/24, I surely hope was a 1 off experience here at Scrambled and I look forward to April, the owner, to hopefully make things right. Let me begin by saying, we come here as a group, as a means to celebrate our hard work in the field of what we do for our own living to put food on the table. Ordinarily, one of the BEST places around! For starters, we come from Hillsboro, Southern Pines, Burlington, Asheboro, Thomasville, High Point, Trinity, Jamestown, and Greensboro respectfully to dine in here at Scrambled. Since I've been apart of our team, I reckon we have been here at least 6x a year as a result usually amounting to about 200$ or so given our group of 9 totaling now. The young lady as hostess today for starters was incredibly rude. I can deal without the eye rolls and disregard of respect towards patrons. We are aware of the typical policy that Scramble aims to have the full party prior to seating. We occasionally do not have everyone come to these celebrations as they are not mandatory but a choice provided by our one of kind boss. Per normal, since it's made aware that a few of us are coming from over an Hour away, we typically get seated once we have about 5-6 of us arrive. This time, we were blessed to have almost all of us be able to come. Back to the Hostess, I personally arrived at 8am, and followed by 3 others by 8:10am. I respectfully informed the young lady of our hopeful expectation. It was met with an "eye roll" and she proceeded to just carry on biz as usual. I don't come to eat somewhere to hear someone discussing it takes 2 hours of personal time getting dressed. Further more, Pink booty shorts, gym shorts, whatever they are, certainly are inappropriate attire for greeting folks as your Hostess. As we got 6 in, we were still being heavily criticized for not having our hopeful few more to appear. Once seated, things did not get better. Our server, Tammy, and some other woman, whose name I did not get, seemed agitated from the get go at the idea of 2 more people may be appearing. Now, we are of all sizes and colors, and genders, so this is not just some disgruntled white mans perspective. The whole team felt the intensity of disrespect from our servers this go around. From aiming to have an extra table to accommodate our party, to the eye rolls even from Tammy & other woman, who had to unfortunately do her JOB, at wiping down a table. God forbid. We are all on one ticket meaning there's guaranteed gratuity, in addition to what's added by our team leader. Always. Never have we seen more scorn looks of anger at the 3 members of staff we had to engage with during this trip. Tammy made minimum efforts to come by on any refills. I had to request another server to bring part of my own beverage, a mocha, and that too was met with "I'm not your server". Get over yourself. Just flat out rude. This place is dearly special to our team, and super special to our ladies in our bunch. I didn't think they could express a negative thought but they definitely did today. Learn to leave your feelings at the door when you come to work, or perhaps quit your job? Since these celebrations are a team choice, I assure you next time, I will not come if this is how we are going to be treated going forward. Wish I could say more but limits on characters. Do better and share some love instead of your disrespect and rudeness.

Kaicey W.

Yelp
I cannot believe I haven't written a review for Scrambled! Like their neighbors with the burgers, there just doesn't seem to be words that can truly sum up how amazing the food is, you just have to try it yourself to see what the hype is about. This place is obviously popular and for good reason. The service is good and the food is amazing. The wait can be long, especially on the weekend so try to get there early or during the week. It's a little small but they make good use of the space. The patio is nice when the weather permits. My favorites are the skillet meals but the pancakes are also hard to beat. Really you can't go wrong with any option, though. Wish I would've visited more often when I lived closer but I would certainly stop in if I found myself in Greensboro around breakfast time. Do yourself a favor and check them out if you are in the area!

Kristi W.

Yelp
The food was delicious and service was spectacular! I love the option of booking yourself on the waitlist and you can track your spot in line to plan accordingly. From a visitor from NJ

Vaibhav M.

Yelp
This has been on the list for a while, but we were never able to get in since the wait was too long. This time we went on a weekday and got seated within 5 mins...off to a great start! Their main parking was full so i had to park in the overflow lot which was in disrepair. It was hard to get my sedan up and down that treacherous path, and that will make me think twice before coming in next mind you. Heading in, the restaurant was PACKED. There were sooo many people and well thats what I expected. I ordered the eggs benedict while the rest ordered waffles and an omelette. There was some mix up with my order and it took a while to come out, but the food tasted good! It was as you'd expect. But I would not say it was anything extraordinary, so i was surprised since the crowds made seem differently. The service was as quick as it could be given the crowd, but the ambience was awesome. It felt like a diner but with a modern twist of interior decor. Im not sure if i will be back here since the food was good but standard and the prices above standard, but its definitely worth a try!

Falguni T.

Yelp
We've been trying to eat at this place for a while, but it is always packed with a long line of waiting. We finally were able to try it the other day, and I can say I had a hearty meal. The service took a little time, but with the amount of people walking in and out, it's understandable. We ordered the fried chicken and waffles, black bean eggs benedict, and a veggie omelette with coffee and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was yum! It was chocolate-y and warm, and just tasted right. The food tasted great too. The waffles and chicken were crispy and went together great. While both the egg dishes tasted good as well, especially the black bean eggs benedict. In all, we had a great meal, but I wouldn't count it as one of the best diner foods I've ever had. But it's great, nonetheless!

Latesha J.

Yelp
I loved my experience at Scrambled! Our server Michael, was kind and very knowledgeable about the menu. We were a party of 7 and arrived towards the end of the shift and they were still accommodating and treated us as if they had all day. I had the Night Night scramble, sausage and a pancake. The scramble was savory and the red sauce on it was delicious. The banana rum almond compote was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Please try it!! I knew I wouldn't finish it all, but the best part was the leftovers! 10/10 highly recommend. If I am ever back in the Greensboro area, I will definitely visit again.

Rafael A.

Yelp
We've been wanting to come to this place for years, always heard mixed reviews so we gave it a try. We were a party of two, from the time we arrived to the time they brought the food, we had to wait 1 hour 50 minutes. The place was packed, I never saw them slowing down. After such a long wait, I guess our expectations were rising by the minute. The staff, very vey FRIENDLY and very nice. However, the food was a surprise, it was simply good, nothing wowww. We had the Mariner with a side of turkey sausage and the Scrambled's Shrimp and Grit with a side of black bean cake. - Mariner: crab*, spinach, tomato, scallions, celery, sherry fondue. But they forgot the crab. We were so hungry that didn't want to wait so we ate it without the crab. We made the comment and with any hesitation they discounted it from the check. * Market Price - Scrambled Shrimp & Grits: cheddar grits, spinach, onion, country sausage, red eye gravy, red peppers, sherry, tomatoes. It was good and tasty. $14.75 - Turkey Sausage, nothing special - Black Bean Cake, not too tasty From 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent): - Service 10 - Ambiance 6 very simple (metal chairs very uncomfortable) - Food 7 - Parking 5 I understand it's simply a diner, but definitely not worth the 2 hour wait!

Victoria M.

Yelp
Good breakfast. Service was great. Espresso drinks are weak, eggs a bit runny but all and all a good breakfast

Amanda E.

Yelp
This is definitely an happening place!! Tried this place for brunch in a Sunday. The parking is a pain, literally!!! Good luck or should I say wish you luck in finding a place to park. Once entering the restaurant, the place was packed like sardines!! We did the wait list option that has been added to Yelp. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PUTTING YOURSELF ON THE WAIT LIST!!!! We had to wait in line for the check in list. Any...who....we finally got seated. This is a super small establishment with inside and outside seating. I mean it's bumper to bumper seats, they pack you there. Hardly an elbow room, if you're claustrophobic this is not the place for you! Our waiter was very prompt in acknowledging us, thank goodness. We ordered our drinks and mimosas. The cranberry mimosa was super dooper awesome! Cold latte was on spot too. Decided to order a skillet with gravy, eggs, sausage, chives, biscuit, bacon, cheddar grits idk it had a lil bit of everything. The skillet is the way to go!! The portions are pretty good! Ya''ll I don't like grits but these were the BOMB!!! I just got them on a whelm, to try something different! Highly recommend them cheddar grits! This is a loud place so be prepared. I'd definitely come back here! Food was hot, fresh, and on point!!!! The bomb.com! Highly recommend this place!!!! You want be disappointed!!!!

Danielle M.

Yelp
I loved this place. It is for sure a hole in the wall and seating is tight. The food was excellent. They have both breakfast and lunch with lunch starting at 11pm. The food is typical breakfast and brunch items but with an added twist! They keep it southern by adding things like pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes, yum! I heard the fried chicken and waffles are excellent. Unfortunately when I went the waffle maker was down but everything we still very delicious. Prices are average with a meal ranging from $10-$16. I was also pleasantly surprised by how many vegetarian options they had! You can also pretty much mix and match or build your own item on the menu. Oh and you have to try there jams: strawberry and blueberry! I don't know how to explain them but they were so different. The consistency of the strawberry was loose and nothing like a jam but it was delicious while the blueberry was thick and flavorful. I equally liked them both! Our waitress was excellent! she was attentive and friendly. I would say the food runner could have been more pleasant but I just assume she was busy and in a rush. All and all I see why this spot always has a line. Parking is horrendous but it's to be expected when eating close to a college. At least they have free overflow parking, so no complaints!

Yelp
Met out-of-town relatives for brunch on a recent Saturday. No wait at 10:45 AM (but I had joined the waitlist online.) I thoroughly enjoyed my FGT Eggs Benedict & was generously given an extra side of scrumptious Hollandaise at no charge! My sister raved about her Mariner omelette and her husband polished off his Country Style Skillet in no time flat. Service was excellent. Prices were on point for the excellent quality of our food. We'll be back!! (Sorry for misappropriating your slogan, Mr. Schwarzenegger )!

Yelp
My partner and I went here on a Sunday. We joined the line online before we left home and still ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours to be seated. This is our second time going to scrambled because we wanted to make sure our opinion was solid. The inside is cute but definitely over crowded, this place needs less tables or an upgrade in space. The floor was a little sticky where we were seated. Food: We ordered the free bird sandwich and the chicken little. The fried chicken was really tasty, the sauce on the free bird really complimented the chicken and the cheese. We also got an order of the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer definitely recommend. Overall the food is really good but the wait and space inside is a bit much. If we do return we will definitely try a week day or really early on a weekend.

Yelp
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal ate.!I had waffle platter meal, with a couple of mimosas. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a nice family breakfast. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food! The pancakes were so huge! Wasn't too fond of the grits, but that still didn't really take away from the overall experience. Our server was nice! The cheese eggs were so great bc of how they cooked the cheese in the eggs and not just throw it on top. I see why they stay busy!

Yelp
This seems to be a pretty popular place. There were tons of people waiting so I was really happy that we got on the wait list ahead of time. The service was great even though they were super busy. My friends and I all had different items and we all liked what we had and left full. I love the fact that you can build your own biscuit and breakfast sandwich. I can be picky and this ensure that I get exact what I want. My self built biscuit was perfect and so large I couldn't eat it all. Great value and quality.

Yelp
This place is hyped up and the wait is long so you think you are going to get a good meal but it's just average. I started with the mocha latte which was overly sweet and had way too much chocolate in it. We got an order of the night night, corned beef hash skillet, the breakfast platter with french toast and fried chicken and an order of crab cake. The fried chicken was very bland and didn't have much flavor and we didn't even finish the crab cake because it was overly fishy tasting. Other than that the food was ok, it was too rich in some flavors and lacking in others.

Yelp
My first time here. Went on a Sunday after church. Wait wasn't bad because we put our name on waitlist prior to arriving. Food was so good! Loved the waffles and cheese grits the best. Tammy was our server and she was wonderful!

Yelp
I visited twice. First, I made my own scramble based off the country style with a side of French toast. just thinking about it. Second, I order the classic platter, crab cake, and a biscuit on the side. My friend had the shrimp and grits. All of the food was delicious. I suggest getting on the waitlist via yelp which helped us get seating. There is always a wait.

Yelp
Stopped by scrambled for some brunch this week and it proved why it's still a GSO staple. To start for those who don't know, they share a small lot with another GSO staple HOPS, and so there is limited parking on the lot, but there is street parking around back as well as a small gravel lot off to the side with signage for additional parking! We came in on the tail end of service today and they were still extremely busy for a Monday afternoon, however we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving so no complaints for us. I went with the Country style skillet for my main dish, which consisted of your choice of eggs any style (i opted for scrambled), choice of hash browns or cheddar grits (hash browns for me), crumbled sausage, cheese, mushrooms, sausage gravy, scallions and a choice of bread (biscuit, toast, or English muffin). Overall, the skillet was great. The hash browns were cooked perfectly, slightly crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy inside. The eggs were good, I feel like eggs can be a hit or miss at most places, but these were fluffy and well cooked. And to finish it off, the gravy stole the show with loads of crumbled sausage throughout and seasoned perfectly. The only complaint, was the biscuit was a bit dry, but when dipped in the gravy it was pretty good. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese in addition to the skillet. On its own, the Mac and cheese was a little lack luster I'll admit with not much seasoning used. However, I tossed some hot sauce on top and then mixed it in with a portion of the skillet and it made for a nice addition to the skillet so no harm! Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was even better so we will be back for sure!

Yelp
Wake up Greensboro and head to Scrambled. Good southern breakfast (but they do have Benedict's too). We had the French toast platter which comes with two eggs (how you like them), a meat (I went with country ham) and either chedder grits or hashbrowns. Service was good and the inside was cool, hip, and even fun with all of the sayings on the wall. Parking directly at the location is limited but there is extra parking across the street.

Yelp
Our waiter Brock was excellent! Attentive and very friendly! The food came out accurate. I ordered a waffle platter (pictured). My bacon wasn't flavorful but it was bacon. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, crispy! He ordered ribeye and eggs. He said the ribeye had ZERO seasoning but it was cooked correctly. Grits were ok...I think they needed cheese and I'm not a cheese fan. Overall not a bad breakfast spot.

Yelp
My daughter was attending a track meet at North Carolina AT&T with her friends and ate at this restaurant. The food was delicious! They ate there for two consecutive days and were quite pleased. They ordered takeout so we did not dine in. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, depending on the day and time.

Yelp
As the first review here everything is still amazing. The food here is so good. We had a great waitress as we did the first time. The place was packed for a Thursday morning but we made a reservation and got right in. It's very tight inside and it was a little hard for me to get around with my prosthetic leg but I did fine. The restaurant itself is well maintained and was very clean. The bathroom was very clean and had lots of room. If you haven't been here you really need to give it a try. It's a little pricey but well worth it.

Yelp
Not sure what happened today, because I have been here before and my breakfast was delicious...I ordered Egg Benedicts like before. This time the eggs were medium hard, the spinach was soggy and my first bite was just pure vinegar...I couldn't finish eating it because I was so disappointed. I wished we had gone to Shirley's Breakfast place instead...Don't know if I will be back.
