On Sunday, my husband and I enjoyed brunch at Seasons Restaurant, It was one of the best brunch experiences we have ever had. We are foodies, and have been to many places for brunch.
OVERALL: Exceptional experience for foodies. Five excellent prepared food stations and dessert, including: fresh seafood, salad, omelet, cheese, Mediterranean, and the most wonderful dessert stations in any brunch I have even been to.
Bottomless flowing sparkling wine, and orange or grapefruit mimosas are included, so are Juices and coffee. Guest can order egg benedicts, waffles, and French toast from a la cart menu as well, included in the price.
After reading so many reviews of people thinking it costs too much money, I unfortunately do not agree. It is the Four Season's hotel, service is top notch, the food selection is fresh, gourmet, and totally worth the price. If someone's idea of brunch is an omelet and fruit, I do not recommend this place. This place is for those that enjoy fine food, and excellent service. If you are concerned about the price, and do not enjoy trying new foods, it may be cheaper and better experience to go somewhere else.
FOOD: For seafood lovers, Seasons got an amazing selection of fresh seafood, including cocktail of shrimp, lobster salad, ceviche, Ahi tuna, crab Louie, oysters, scallops, and beautiful cured and smoked salmon bar. Some Sundays, they will alternate and have crab claws instead of the oysters.
The cheese station contained a wonderful selection of cheeses, meats, and compliments. The salad station had a refreshing watermelon Gazpacho and several salads, grilled vegetables, and Israeli Cous Cous.
My favorite dish overall was the grilled lamb chops- they were cooked perfectly and beautifully seasoned. They also had amazing tender short ribs, and a beautifully cooked Arctic char. Their crab cakes contained no fillers and were also wonderful. I also enjoyed the tomato and truffle mac and cheese, not to be missed. The protein station also had countless side dishes, including many grilled and perfectly cooked vegetables. I skipped the breakfast omelet station, but walked around and saw breakfast potatoes, sausage, and bacon, made to order eggs and omelets, with cheese fresh vegetables, crab and lobster. I also skipped the Mediterranean station but picked a few items from my husband's plate. The stuffed grape leaves were wonderful and the hummus was pungent and spicy, very yummy.
Now let's talk about dessert! Executive Pastry Chef Charles Froke is incredible. Seasons has one full room for the desserts station. You will certainly have a hard time making up your mind and deciding. Chef Froke recommended his Mango tres leches dessert and it was decadent, simply perfect. I also had the Crème Brule, super rich chocolate cake, lemon and raspberry bomb, and the passion fruit panna cotta. All amazing! The dessert station has several chocolate and fruit cakes and tortes, cookies, cupcakes, panna cottas, and a shortcake station with fruit, nuts, and all the accompaniments.
PRICE: Price came up to about $100 per person; we found it reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food. If you drink mimosas or sparkling wine, and have more than a few drinks, it is money well spent.
PARKING: Cost for parking is $14, a discounted price, validated by Seasons.
Please go, you will not be disappointed!
