Among more daring pies like the chalupa Batman (chipotle pesto and taco tofu) and shepherd book (vegan bacon, corn, and red pepper) is the Society’s classique pepperoni, with red sauce, vegan pepperoni from Portland’s own East Village PDX, and basil chevre. "We ate a lot of pan-style pizza this year, but the pies from Aaron Lindell and Hannah Ziskin’s pandemic pop-up turned permanent location blew the competition out of the water. With an entirely vegan menu that utilizes cashew- and coconut-based substitutes, Secret Pizza Society has managed to harness the power of unprocessed dairy-free cheese, mastering its texture and application, which many other vegan and non-vegan pizza joints haven’t nailed just yet.
