Fresh fish market & casual spot for po' boys & boils

"You’ll know you’ve arrived at Seither’s Seafood, in Harrahan when you see a small, brightly colored building in a little parking lot of discarded oyster shells. While Jason Seither’s menu dazzles in its creativity, it also nails the basics, including crawfish. It’s some of the best in South Louisiana, spiced beautifully and served in a fish camp-esque setting that makes the meal that much more enjoyable. There’s live music Thursday through Saturday." - Clair Lorell, Beth D'Addono

"I saw Seither’s Seafood offering a Volcano po’ boy with seared tuna, shrimp, snow crab salad, eel sauce, sriracha mayo, shredded lettuce and carrots, sesame seeds, and flaming hot Cheeto crunchies." - Clair Lorell

"This funky seafood joint in Harahan doesn’t put on airs, but it sure does deliver. Seithers is legendary for its boils, its fried seafood, and its blackened Gulf fish. Owner Jason Seithers’ epic boils are best accompanied by live local music and ice cold beer. Come on Sundays in March— Seithers parks his trailer-mounted crawfish boiling rig outside the Maple Leaf Bar, where he’s been a spring fixture since 2010." - Beth D’Addono

"I report that after taking a few weeks off for the holidays, Jason Seither of Seithers Seafood in Harahan is back to boiling, serving crawfish trays known for unexpected inclusions like sweet potatoes, artichokes, and whole bulbs of garlic." - Clair Lorell

"Tucked in Harahan in a small brightly painted building, Seither’s Seafood (Jason Seither) delivers award-winning po-boys and inventive seafood dishes — I’m impressed by unusual po-boys, indulgent starters, and well-seasoned crawfish boils, with solid portions to match." - Eater Staff
