Seoul Tofu - Review - Sawtelle - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If you’re looking for Korean food on Sawtelle in a slightly more upscale setting than nearby Tofu Ya, head to Seoul Garden. They also excel in the sundubu combo department, but the prices are slightly higher and the banchan aren’t quite as exciting. Head here instead of Tofu Ya for a sit-down meal with friends where you’ll drink plenty of beer and soju while inhaling tofu stew and sweet, salty meat." - Arden Shore

Tofu Tofu Review - Chinatown - New York - The Infatuation

"Korean food in Chinatown. It exists, and it’s pretty good. You won’t feel compelled to rearrange your schedule around Tofu Tofu, but if all you need is a bowl of bibimbap or some reasonably priced LA galbi, it’s a great pit stop. There’s plenty of room in the brick-walled dining room with an abundance of edison bulbs dangling from the ceiling, and the menu has a huge variety of things to choose from. Tofu soup is the house speciality, so start with that. Whether you get it with beef, pork, clam, or oyster, it’ll arrive at your table perilously hot and packed with silky bean curd. The fried chicken is also great, although you should know that the “god damn spicy” sauce isn’t nearly as aggressive as it sounds. photo credit: Bryan Kim" - Bryan Kim

Overall pretty good food, with nothing particularly standing out to be spectacular, but with nothing exceptionally terrible, either. All of the dishes contain good flavor and can offer an authentic Korean cuisine experience without a doubt. I came here with a group of friends so we ordered a few dishes to share altogether. The seafood pancakes were leaning on the plain side relatively and personally I felt like it contained a bit too much dough and not enough of seafood or scallions, but it still had good texture. The jap chae was as standard as I could imagine, which was a positive thing because the dish itself basically was seasoned vermicelli noodles, meaning delicious. The soon tofu was pretty standard. The hot stone bibimbap was also as standard as I could imagine, and of course I used gochujang on it which made it flavorful. Both the spicy pork bulgogi and the galbi were seasoned well enough, which was pretty good. Not the best I have had anywhere, but good enough for me to say that it resembled what I have had in Korea. Since this establishment is on a very popular and busy street, I recommend people walking there if they are able to. I lived close to the area so I basically walked there and enjoyed everything else the street had to offer as well. It also tends to get very busy on weekends so I recommend people arriving early if they are there for lunch.

This place has been around for a while. Food quality is stably good. I won’t say it’s ktown level good but one of the best you can get in west LA. Bibimbap + tofu soup is a great value combo that’s large enough for me as 2 meals.

💣💣💣 JUST BOMB! MY FAVORITE K-FOOD without having to drive to K-Town. I got the galbi beef and Sundubu-jjigae combo. Boy the waiter thought I couldn’t finish but I DEMOLISH that food in a heartbeat! Mucho delicious 🤓

Korean Foodie's Take: Slightly Above Average with Great Ambiance As someone 100% born and raised in Korea, I'd say this place is not bad for a Korean foodie—it's good, though not amazing. For those who are more casual Korean diners and less familiar with the intricate spice and flavor profiles of Korean cuisine, I think you'll really enjoy it. My kimchi stew was slightly above average, and the bibimbap was good with fresh vegetables. One suggestion for all Korean restaurant owners: please consider keeping a bottle of gluten-free soy sauce for customers with gluten sensitivities, like my wife! The ambiance here is a big plus. It's clean, bright, and has abundant natural light, which is a refreshing change from many Korean restaurants that can be dimly lit or filled with BBQ smoke. Overall, my honest opinion is that it's a slightly above average Korean dining experience.

Google
Well-rounded Korean tofu place but with a bit steeper price tag compared to a few years ago. We stick to soong tofu (tofu soup with the protein of your choice or veggie) and it tastes decent when served with rice. We ordered the mixed version (seafood, pork and beef) combo, which comes with grilled bulgogi beef as a side entree. The side dish (banchan) comes with 6 mini plates with fish cake, pickled daikon, kimchi, broccoli, mashed potato and bean sprouts. Make sure you ask them to refill!

Google
We got the bibimbap and soft tofu soup combo and it was awesome! Reasonable price for lots of yummy food. Came with authentic side dishes too. Parking available. Also vegetarian/vegan friendly options

Google
Pretty standard Korean food. I got the galbi combo with the regular beef soup (medium spice), and the galbi was BY FAR the best part of the meal. Juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. My only gripe is I wish there were more! The tofu soup was just okay—I’ve had better at other Korean restaurants like BCD. All in all, not bad at all for somewhere located in a place known for Japanese food!

Google
It’s my first time here and it’s definitely one of my favorite places, not to mention it’s close by! 🍚 I ordered Bibimcap with chicken. It was served as in the photo and sauce on the side. The chilli paste is perfectly flavored for people who love the sweetness in Korean cuisine but not too spicy. 🥒 the texture of the vegetables were incredible! Crunchy and fresh, making this bibimcap my favorite of all time!! Already can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
I've been to seoul house of tofu twice, once while I was in college as most UCLA students do - and again just last week. Surprise when I went this last time it was during the holidays so it was not a long wait as we also beat the normal dinner rush getting there around 5:30. My party of four was seated immediately And was attended to fairly quickly. Only one person in our party bought tofu soup, lol, another, but the hot stone Bibibop, the next person bought the seafood pancake, and I bought the short ribs Everybody loved their meal. The only comment that was received was that the seafood pancake was a lot more pancake this time than the last time the person had it meaning there was less seafood and veggies and much more dough as it was definitely really thick and not thin as it normally is . The galbi ribs or flavored well cooked super perfection and sizzling hot when they came to the table. The Banchan was also very good offering a variety of the following. Broccoli, fish, cakes, potato, salad, beans, kimchi, pickles, etc For a Thursday night it progressively got busier as a night went on but all in all it was a great meal

Yelp
We arrived at 6 PM on a weekday and was immediately seated. When we were almost done eating there was a huge line out the door around 7:30 PM, highly recommend going earlier or during off hours if you don't want to wait. There's a parking lot in the plaza and many spaces available when we arrived. The side dishes weren't my favorite, it wasn't special in any way but they did provide a variety. We ordered the seafood soondubu and galbi combo. The soondubu was enjoyable, with a comforting flavor, but it didn't quite stand out compared to other Korea restaurants I've been to. Galbi was very flavorful and chewy! Service was very quick and they made the effort to check in on us frequently throughout our meal to ensure we had everything we needed.

Yelp
Seoul House of Tofu is a super popular place for comfort food among my friends. I've been here several times over the years because the food is good, service is outstanding, and vibe is cozy. We went here for my friend's birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service was light on a Monday night compared to other days and times where people are waiting out the door. Our server joked with us and set the tone for the rest of our meal :) He made recommendations when learning it was some of my friends' first times here. The banchan arrived first and all are delicious. The wait staff came by often to ask if we wanted more. Thank goodness for the limitless banchan! We ordered the bibimbop combo with tofu soup, bulgogi, extra spicy tofu soup, and hot stone bibimbop. My hot stone crisped up my rice beautifully. The sauce is available in a squirt bottle for you to decide how much or how little you want. The staff also give you a container to bring some sauce home in case you have leftovers like me! Overall, Seoul House of Tofu has been a pleasant visit each time I've gone and I will happily be back again for more in the future. Bonus gold star for our server!

Yelp
Early dinner on a Thursday was great timing, not too busy and fast service. Everything we ordered tasted great, good flavors and well cooked.

Yelp
It's a gloomy day in LA, best time for hot tofu soup. We got here about 2 and still quite busy but got a table right away. Ordered a galbi tofu combo and a regular tofu soup. The tofu soup was flavorful but the seafood inside was very tiny. The short ribs were good and decent portion.

Yelp
This place is a must on Sawtelle! I was so happy to see a ton of vegan/vegetarian options here. I got the vegetable dumpling soon tofu and it was soo good! I loved the flavor the dumplings added over just getting a veggie/tofu soup. It was semi easy to get a table for 2 on a Saturday night around 6pm. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years (first soondubu ever!) and can say this restaurant is consistently incredible. There's enough soup options that every time I've come I get something different. From dumplings, to beef, to tofu, to kimchi; the food is exceptional every time. In my most recent experience dining here, I tried the bulgogi combo for the first time and the meat was so flavorful and deliciously marinated. Everything is always so fresh and because of all of this, Seoul House of Tofu has been one of my restaurant staples since moving to LA. Seating can be tricky. Usually, you have to place your name on a list before being seated and all members of the party must be present before sitting (at least during busier times). I've been here at other times where it is really quick and easy to get seated. Though with the location right in the heart of Sawtelle there are so many options to walk around and enjoy if you do have to wait to be seated! Food generally comes out very quickly and the service is prompt, regardless of how busy the restaurant is.

Yelp
Eren was one of the best servers I've ever had. He did what a lot of people don't do anymore - he anticipated what we might want or need. He noticed we weren't using a hot sauce and brought out some other options to try. I've never had Bibimbap or Tofu soup, so it was a bit intimidating, but he took his time to explain what everything was and what might be too spicy for our three year old. The food was also delicious and super filling. Big portions. But man, the service made the meal.

Yelp
After a night out, I knew I needed some form of soup to help me out. Spicy is the first thing on my mind and what's better than some soondubu! I've tried BCD and Kaju and this place is on the list when I'm in LA now. I got the Kim Chi Beef Soon Tofu (Medium Spice). The spice was perfect and not overpowering with the flavor at all. There was enough meat and tofu in the small bowl so I was full by the end of it. It also comes with a rice so you can get your carbs in as well! The Ban Chan provided tasted fresh and we couldn't get enough of the refills by the end of it. I'd definitely check this out again when I'm in LA.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Friday night since we were curious on how this compared to all the other big name soft tofu restaurants in LA. Had to wait an hour for us to sit as it was a packed night. Service was really good considering how busy it was. Ordered the tofu and hot stone bowl combo and honestly, we could've just shared the hot stone bowl because it was really big. Did not disappoint hot stone bowl was extremely and crispy. Beef tofu soup was extremely well seasoned and did not have any salty or lingering taste. Side dishes were also tasty and complemented well with our main dish Recommendations: Beef Tofu Hot Stone bowl Definitely will be back to try some of their other options like the galbi combo. The restaurant is really well lit and has a lot of tables but definitely gets busy during rush hour.

Yelp
Such comforting soul food, yummy and delicious. These hot pot concoctions are both fulfilling, healthy and satisfying. They start you off with a salad variety to munch on and as a compliment to the meal and they keep refilling at your request. Also a water jug is placed on the table to keep you hydrated and comfort the spicy and hot food. Busy bustling restaurants, a little loud but overall pleasant.

Yelp
Really solid spot for Korean food in the Sawtelle strip, much better than Tofu-ya. We got their soondubu items and some of their kalbi. Very tasty and tender and large portions - we had enough to take home for another lunch. They also included banchan - lots of varieties, but not the tastiest. Great place to go if you have a Korean food craving!

Yelp
One of my favorite meals I've had in a while! This Korean food came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The meals are huge and are packed with flavor. The bibimbap bowl was exceptional and I loved the wide array of banchan that accompanied the meal. The soon tofu combo is a must, the soup is to die for and you can get it super spicy to your liking :)

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday late afternoon before it got busy and had a really good meal. The waiter I think his name was Eric was a really nice guy. Place was very clean and my food was very tasty. I got the bulgolgi combo which comes with the sides and choice of tofu soup. I chose the seafood tofu soup which came out pretty hot which was awesome. The restaurant is located in a little plaza and parking can be a little challenging. Glad I live close enough to walk here. Come here and have some good Korean food!

Yelp
Excellent consistent food quality. Service is quick always and I really enjoy the crowd.

Yelp
Second time here! Really love their Soondubu. My wife and I usually split a combo and get another Soondubu and that's plenty of food! You shouldn't have to worry about parking. I came here after 6 when the restaurant was packed but was seated in less than 20 mins and the service was fast! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Leslie G.

Yelp
This place always has a long waitlist. Parking is tight here too, but worth the wait. Sides were good. Beef Jap chae was really flavorful compared to other places, highly recommend. Hot stone bibimbap was really good. I wish there was a little more beef, but it was super filling none the less. There's two personal bathrooms, definitely could be cleaned periodically throughout the day as there was toilet paper on the floor and what not. I'm not a big fan of sundubu, so maybe this place will be even better for you if you do like it.
google avatar

Makoto C.

Yelp
This place is satisfies my Korean food fix in the west side. The service was very attentive. The sides were a little too sweet for me. I ordered the Kalbi, soon-du-bu, and bim bim bap in the hot stone. I liked this the rice gets crispy in the hot stone. Kalbi could have been cooked a little longer and less sugar. But overall the experience was nice on a rainy day.

Yelp
I've been here many times over the past year and I have yet to be disappointed! Their food is so tasty and I especially love all the complimentary banchan they give (my favorites are the bean sprouts, mashed potato and kimchee~). My go-to order has been the beef sundubu-jjigae with a freshly cracked egg(-: And of course, I have to say yes when they offer a side of rice. It's such a great place to get a comfortable meal or just to gather with some friends (although be aware that lines and wait times may get excessive, especially during peak hours). On the pricier side, but that's to be expected of establishments operating on the west side of LA. I have never left this place not feeling full and content :D
google avatar

Hayden L.

Yelp
It was moderately busy during a Friday lunch around 12pm and we were seated immediately. Service was friendly and prompt. Water was brought to the table immediately. We ordered two soon tofus, one with veggie dumplings and one with kimchi. It was very flavorful and came out fast. There were 6 dishes of banchan; I wish there were a few more. It's a little pricey, yet it's West LA and to be expected. There is a small parking lot out front. The ambiance is simple, modern and clean.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite spot for tofu soup when I don't feel like driving to K-Town. The food is delicious, and they offer a great combo deal. I especially love the galbi and bibimbap combo with tofu soup. Cons: They're often short-staffed, so even after being seated, you might wait a while to order. I also wish they paid more attention to cleanliness; I'd hate to lose my favorite restaurant over hygiene concerns.
google avatar

Abeeha H.

Yelp
A good deal for some good tofu soup and bibimbap! I used to come here more often when I lived in the area and the combo deal is my favorite to bring my friends and try tofu soup with! The ingredients are fresh, the banchan is refilled often (so nice), and the bibimbap is TOO good. If you want a nicer edge to your bibimbap, definitely try the hot stone, it makes the rice crispy at the ends which is really yummy! In general, make sure to park in the garage next to the sunright less than .3 miles from the restaurant, it's really the least hassle method to get parking in Sawtelle. It's also a nice walk back after you've stuffed your face with tofu soup and all the banchan. Awesome restaurant, will be back again~
google avatar

Christy V.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a weekday night and it wasn't too busy. The staff was efficient and quick and taking my order and bringing out the side dishes. I ordered a combo with tofu soup and a bibimbap because it was a much better deal!! I ended up having a large portion of the bibimbap as takeout for lunch the next day because it was ALOT of food. It was very worth it though!! The side dishes were delicious as well. I would say this spot is comparable to other tofu soup chains in LA/OC like BCD tofu house and A Ri Rang, etc. This place does have better deals for combo though. Parking can be tough in the Sawtelle area overall, but street parking is plenty if you're willing to walk and pay the meters. I think they have a valet parking too.
google avatar

Sandra C.

Yelp
I live about 5 minutes from Sawtelle and Seoul House of Tofu is where I go when I am looking for quick and decent soon dubu without making a trek out to Ktown. When it comes to parking, the lot can be a bit of a nightmare due to the busy Sawtelle location, so I like going during the weekday when it's not so crazypants there. Walking in, the restaurant itself is chill. The food comes out quickly and the portions are generous enough. The quality of the food is also good, standard. I wouldn't say it's the best, most fantastic place, but it'll satisfy my cravings! The service is good and it's usually easy to find a seat, even when it's busy. The thing about Korean food on the westside is that it is freaking pricey!!! We ordered the pajeon (Korean pancake) and a galbi/soondubu combo. The pajeon was $17 (insane to me) and the combo meal was $30.. but HEY, they know there's a demand for it on the westside and can get away with those prices! My favorite part about dining on Sawtelle though is after my meal, I usually treat myself to some boba, ice cream, or egg pancakes (all of which are sold in the neighboring businesses). Despite the high prices and high-traffic area, I will likely come back to this restaurant many many times.

Yelp
this place had great food! i came for a friends bday and it was a nice and lively atmosphere to celebrate. we were very satisfied with everything we got. i love their side dishes as well. the servers were super sweet and attentive. kimchi tofu soup: 5/5 -- ate with rice and it was a nice level of spice. spicy pork bulgogi: 5/5 -- the meat was nicely seasoned! good portion too. yogurt soju cocktail: 4/5 -- the soju flavor was pretty strong
google avatar

Stef M.

Yelp
The medium level spiciness for the soup seems to be the perfect level that I like. The mild seafood tofu was just okay but the medium beef soup is pretty good. The tofu is very soft and silky. There were 6 different banchans and they're generous with topping them up when we asked for it. Service is good, we like the ice cold water filled with ice cubes, fresh and refreshing served to us immediately as soon as we're seated. Tables are always filled but turnover is quite fast.
google avatar

Yelp
It's worth going to in favor of the drive to Koreatown. Lots of pan chan with refills but the fishcake (one of my faves!) and popular mashed potatoes with peas are too sweet. The bean sprouts and broccoli were seasoned well but the pickled radish had too much vinegar, so much I grimaced. I tempered the tastes mixing the food with kimchi which was overripe but what's a meal without kimchi? My biggest criticism is their seating policy. Know that if you're not present when your name is first called, they'll come back to your name before moving down the list. I say, "You snooze, you lose" especially when my party of 4 had to wait 30-35 minutes for a table. Even worse they are not efficient or considerate when seating. My wait should have been shorter but they sat a couple at a table for 4 and honored the request of the lady who put her name down after me to also sit her and her SO at a table for 4. Among the big crowd waiting outside this frustrated other customers. There was one employee doing his best but doing too many things - checking the waitlist, seating people and taking orders. Once we were seated, service was fast and friendly. And now, what we ordered: SOON DUBU (tofu) soup - Thank you for accomodating the person with the garlic allergy. They left the paste with garlic out and provided a side of red pepper powder. The soup tasted so hearty and meaty! It's not a big bowl but with rice and pan chan would fill me up. JAP CHAE - big serving for an appetizer, $19 comes with bulgogi. They were all out of dumplings, which they'll pan fry or steam. VERY chewy noodles, thinner than usual, also too sweet. I mixed kimchi with it, my sister asked for soy sauce. LOVED the earthy shiitake mushrooms. HOT STONE BIBAM BAP - Very large bowl and the rice will sizzle to a burnt crisp if you don't dig and stir it often. My leftovers were still warm in the box! I like how they serve the gochujang on the side, too. As the name suggests, they are known for their tofu soups. Choose from 5 spice levels. I think starting at $17. This spacious restaurant has an understated but nice decor, glass walls so you can view inside and smell the wonderful aromas as you wait outside. A few tables outside, no heat lamps. I hope they were just understaffed that night. A passerby dropped a glass bottle as we waited and no one had swept it up when we walked out after our meal. Thank goodness customers pushed pieces towards a pillar and covered it with a chair. Please adjust your seating policy according to business as next time I'd like to get the sure bet soon dubu. I also wouldn't mind digging into the humongous seafood pancake appetizer. But if I have to wait unnecessarily too long, I'm going to Tofu Ya one block away. prices - little pricey but not many options in the area. would definitely come here than drive to Ktown for soon dubu. Very glad the great, fast service made up for the inconvenient choices for seating.

Yelp
Portions were great and food was delicious. Didn't get a pic of the galbi, but it was so good!
google avatar

Clarissa A.

Yelp
This place has been a fixture on Sawtelle for years, but interestingly enough I hadn't gotten a chance to try it until the other week and I have to say it's pretty decent for its soup but the stars of the meal interestingly were the banchan and the pan fried dumplings, which are amazing. The tofu soup I ordered was the assorted version that came with beef and pork and clams and squid came out piping hot but interestingly, it didn't have as much flavor as was expecting came with a bowl of rice as well, but I have to say still, the star was the appetizer dumplings and the banchan. I'd definitely go back just for that! Solid option though if you're looking for something hot on a cold day!
google avatar

Belinda C.

Yelp
Good choice for Korean food on the Westside! Not surprisingly, there is usually a wait, but once you've ordered, the food comes out quickly. Banchan is simple (6 dishes - fish cake, broccoli, pickled radish, bean sprouts, kimchee, potato salad). Hubby got the Spicy Pork Combo w/original soondubu (tofu stew). I opted for the Dolsot Bibimbap w/chicken. The hot stone rice bowl is one of my favorite Korean dishes, and Seoul's is pretty good - lots of veggies, but a little bland. I mixed a lot of gochujang sauce in it, but it still tasted under-seasoned. The Spicy Pork was tastier and very spicy (we got medium spicy). Lots of food - we both had leftovers. Service was excellent. Our waiter gave us recommendations and checked in on us throughout the meal. I would recommend Seoul if you want Korean food and don't want to drive out to Ktown.

Yelp
This was the first place I have ever gotten Sundubu at and it has converted me into loving tofu soup. However sometimes this place can be a bit watered down and the galbi was not that good kind of dry. It is definitely good for a late night spot or if you do not have a car it is close to UCLA and accessible by bus. However compared to BCD, BCD is superior in terms of the flavor. The service was also just okay but there are usually a lot of tables inside.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
Not bad but not great. I normally come here when I'm really craving soondubu but am too lazy to make the drive to Koreatown. I typically get the seafood tofu stew at medium spice. The tofu stew here is a bit watery and the seafood portion within the soup is pretty small and not very flavorful. I also wish that they would come by and refill your banchans, but it seems like they don't refill unless you explicitly ask and oftentimes it takes a while for them to bring you out another portion. $18.50 for soondubu is also pretty steep, especially since the banchans are pretty sparse.
google avatar

Phoebe W.

Yelp
Wasn't really amused with the food considering the amount of time i waited for a table. The prices are also quite expensive. I also feel like i have definitely had places with better banchan so this place was overall just alright.
google avatar

Usman A.

Yelp
Their food is amazing! Such good tofu soup outside of Ktown! Been coming here for over ten years and quality is still great! Recommend getting their combo plates for some variety and you still get tofu soup!
google avatar

Bryan R.

Yelp
Portions for this place was very good, and I would recommend sharing the combo if you don't have a big appetite. The shop is located in a busy plaza so keep in mind there may be a wait but they do a good job of getting the food out fast. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they did rush and kick us out at the end of the day but we did get there 30-40 minutes before they closed. I get wanting to go home but also let us finish eating at least.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good tofu spot on Sawtelle! Parking is a bit of a hassle, they have a small lot that's usually full and street parking is hit and miss, they do have valet as a last resort. Service is quick and the food is solid! Ordered the beef Japchae and seafood pancake for the table, also ordered but not pictured was the bulgolgi, and spicy chicken, for myself I got the Kimchi Sundubu. We had 10 at the table, with the banchan, shared plates and individual tofus we were stuffed! All really good food, if you really love spicy, I recommend getting the Spicy or greater level, the spicy was super flavorful and not over the top.
google avatar

Natalia J.

Yelp
Came to this spot on Sawtelle because one of my friends used to work here and she wanted to stop by to say hi to old coworkers! I had no expectations but this spot really blew it out of the water. I just had BCD two days before this, so I thought I'd be sick of soondubu, but wow I was blown away. My friend and I decided to share the hot stone bibimbap combo with assorted soondubu ($28 - so affordable and definitely enough to share for two), and we got a pa jun (seafood pancake) for the table. I was literally picking up my bowl at the end to slurp up the rest of my soup because it was so delicious. The pa jun was soooo crispy (ask for it extra crispy!!) and so thick with big strips of squid. So yummy. We let the hot stone rice sit for a while before we mixed it which gave it this fantastic crunch that reminded me of noorungbap (burnt rice) and it was soooo good. Highly recommend pushing your comfort limits of letting the rice sit before you mix it. Service was amazing, so friendly and so on top of everything especially water and banchan refills. Will definitely be coming back here!

One of the few Korean restaurants out on the West Side and a lot closer than Ktown. This place does get busy so expect a wait especially during peak hours. Overall, the food is good and there's a variety to choose from. There's an assortment of Tofu soup options along with meat dishes. It's also great for vegetarians because they give you the option of beef or water based for the broth which is nice! The spice level is something you have control over as well. From non-spicy, mild, medium, spicy, & extra spicy. For the sides (banchan) you get, the mashed potato salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, broccoli, & pickled radish. Personally, I'm a fan of the combos, especially the tofu soup + galbi rib or the tofu Soup + Hot Stone Bibimbap combo. The stone pot comes with (chicken or beef) along with a lot of veggies (carrot, mushroom, spinach, bean sprout, cucumbers) & egg. For both the Tofu Soup and Bibimbap you have the option to get egg (free of charge). The service is good, even during peak hours the servers will come by and check on you to make sure you have everything you need and will ask if you want refill on sides as well. The ambiance is nice and the restaurant is brightly lit inside with many seating options. Parking can get tricky but there's plenty of options around there. They do have parking out front but it can get packed as there's multiple restaurants nearby. There's also meter parking along with parking in the neighborhood if you're willing to walk a little. I've also done takeout of the dumplings, stone pot bibimbap, and tofu soup and it was delicious. They give you the banchan and even though the stone pot bibimbap doesn't hit the same since its not fresh in the stone, you still get your charred rice and good portions.

Yelp
I went here a long time ago and loved it, but I've recently revisited Seoul House of Tofu and fell in love all over again. The food is really great value, especially the Soon Tofu. Street parking is definitely possible in this area. Sometimes Seoul House of Tofu is packed and other times, you can get a seat easily. It really depends. I love getting the non-spicy Soon Tofu with beef, because it's so flavorful on its own and I don't like spicy soups. And while you may think it's just soup, it's SO filling! Plus, it comes with a whole bunch of banchan, so you won't leave with an empty stomach at all. I've also had the bulgogi combo (lots of food!) and the galbi. You can't go wrong on this comprehensive menu!

Yelp
Came here to eat on a Saturday afternoon. The service was efficient and everything came out really fast. As for the food, I will say there's nothing standout about their soondubu, but it definitely scratches the itch and was a good meal all around. There's a good selection of side dishes as well. My vegan friend gave the vegetable soondubu (w/ water broth) a vegan stamp of approval!

Yelp
Seoul Tofu is our go to spot for kimchi soup! The flavor is always so potent in the best way. Bibimbap combo is definitely the way to go so that you have the best of both worlds. I will say that dinner here gets really busy. We've gone at lunch and never had to wait, so there's definitely a premium for dinner. Even with how busy they are, the servers are always so nice and very quick! Definitely give them props for dealing with an angry mob.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of dining at numerous Korean restaurants, and I can confidently state that this establishment is the finest among them. The culinary offerings are characterized by an exceptional depth of flavor. I particularly recommend the beef tofu, as the soup possesses an extraordinary taste. The bulgogi and galbi are also highly commendable for their exquisite flavors. The condiments provided are of exceptional quality, offering a delightful combination of freshness and palatability. I found them so enjoyable that I requested multiple refills. The service provided by the staff is exemplary, characterized by both speed and attentiveness. The establishment maintains an immaculate level of cleanliness, as evidenced by its well-deserved "A" rating. While the restaurant's parking lot is somewhat limited in size and experiences a high volume of traffic, I suggest utilizing the available street parking. If you find yourself in the vicinity, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It will undoubtedly become my preferred destination for Korean cuisine whenever I am in the area. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff for their exceptional culinary expertise.

Yelp
Initially I dismissed this place because I thought it might be strictly about tofu, but was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the offerings. The hot stone pot bibimbap was amazing, and making it a combo with the spicy kimchi tofu soup was enough to keep me satisfied so I had to do something walking around to help digest everything I had eaten! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Food was amazing! I got the Bulgogi combo- it was so yummy! And comes with a lot of food. The soup came out bubbling hot and was very flavorful- I got it spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice, hot but not too spicy. The combo comes with a lot of side dishes, I personally loved the pickled onions. Service was quick and the place was packed! Clearly it's a popular spot. Only downside is parking- there is a lot out front but it's narrow and usually really crowded.

Yelp
We ordered a hot stone bibimbap combo with tofu soup, BBQ Gali Combo with tofu soup. They were pretty good but nothing special. I feel like I could ordered them at pretty much everywhere. The service was good. The restaurant was cleaned and bright.

Yelp
I have been skeptical about this place for a while due to the mixed reviews, but this being my first time I was pleasantly surprised. Not too long of a wait, decently priced combo, excellent service. Hope to make this a regular stop in my rotation.

Yelp
While visiting LA eating Korean food was on my list of things to do. I've never had Korean food and my daughter often speaks about how much she loves it. So, we went here for dinner. I ordered the Bulgogi and wow was it terrific! The marinade was light, not overpowering and the beef melted in my mouth.
