"Korean food in Chinatown. It exists, and it’s pretty good. You won’t feel compelled to rearrange your schedule around Tofu Tofu, but if all you need is a bowl of bibimbap or some reasonably priced LA galbi, it’s a great pit stop. There’s plenty of room in the brick-walled dining room with an abundance of edison bulbs dangling from the ceiling, and the menu has a huge variety of things to choose from. Tofu soup is the house speciality, so start with that. Whether you get it with beef, pork, clam, or oyster, it’ll arrive at your table perilously hot and packed with silky bean curd. The fried chicken is also great, although you should know that the “god damn spicy” sauce isn’t nearly as aggressive as it sounds. photo credit: Bryan Kim" - Bryan Kim
