The Best Wineries In The Willamette Valley - Willamette Valley - The Infatuation

"Converted from a former dairy barn, Sequitur sports a modest lineup of dinner table-ready pinot noir and chardonnay, and it’s proof that a bare-bones approach can still be polished. We’re into what 2021’s ridiculous heat dome did to their Woodstock, and amphora fanatics will freak over Sequitur’s clay-aged pinot—a refreshing departure from the typical barrel business. After a tour of the facilities, which includes a dizzyingly cool spiral staircase, complete your tasting in a new-construction schoolhouse-type structure that feels at once present-day and historic. Bring your friends who like shiplap and tartan fabrics." - aimee rizzo

5 Questions with Erin Brooks on Oregon Wines

"The best examples of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Oregon have the ability to express many different layers in the same glass: fruit, earth, spice and minerality. Most wines can easily be classified as either earthy or fruity. Oregon wines strike a beautiful balance between both. Some of my favorite producers include Sequitur." - Rachel Tan

One of my favorite wine tastings here in Oregon. The wine is incredible, and the tasting room is intimate and sophisticated. Staff is personable, friendly and overall awesome. I even met the owner when I was here. That's almost unheard of anywhere else. Got to tour the winery also when tasting. Would definitely come back and I highly recommend it.

The juxtaposition of modern and upscale with cozy gardens and friendly roosters Toffee and Honey makes this winery a uniquely sensational experience. The seating areas are thoughtfully carved out for couples or small groups for an intimate feel that you don’t get in many places. The chardonnay and pinot noirs were my favorites among the few wineries I toured in the area. Our wine pourer shared some great history about the wines and was a delight to chat with. I look forward to visiting again!

They had the best wines of the 10 wineries we visited in Oregon this May. The facilities were nice and clean and the host knew her wines and taste profile. They allowed us to tour their facilities and it was just a wonderful trip.

I had an excellent time. The wines are all good, and while the tasting is expensive, it is waived with just a one bottle purchase. I went for the pinot, which was great, but came home with chardonnay! The outdoor patio is lovely and shaded, and the inside tasting area was very nice.

I recently visited here with some girlfriends, and it was amazing! Beautiful views, great wine, and superb service. We had Colin as our tour guide, and he was so kind and welcoming! This place is a dream.

Words don’t properly describe the experience we had at Sequitur. The landscaping, architecture, design, atmosphere, hospitality and wine all come together for an unbelievable sensory overload. We loved the tour, the setting and the wines. In a valley full of wineries to choose from, Sequitur is unique and beyond worthy of being on everybody’s must-visit list. If you go, say hi to Char, the resident barn cat. He has a penchant for sunny spots and leather boots.

This should be included on your list of stops on your Willamette wine tour. The intimate tasting space was so hygge in the early morning fog. I loved being able to experience the small batch Pinot not only through different seasons but through time as it aged through the bottle. The staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The best tasting experience I have ever had. I made a reservation on a Thursday afternoon in December. I was the only person there the entire 2.5 hours. I had a private tour of the facilities and got to learn all about the property, wines, processes, inner workings, ect. Anna was the most amazing tour guide & sommelier, it felt like we had been friends for years by the time I left. The tasting house is immaculately designed. Even on the moody cloudy days with so many beautiful windows it's full of light and space.
