How Protests and Coronavirus Are Impacting Hong Kong’s Vibrant Food Scene | Eater

"The US burger chain’s Hong Kong operations are managed by a large local catering group; with only two locations inside upscale malls they’ve been relatively buffered from street-level clashes and vandalism. Still, public statements by the owner’s daughter led community-created protest maps to label the outlets as aligned with the pro-police/pro-mainland side (blue), making them politically visible even if not obvious street targets." - Amanda Kludt

Shake Shack Debuts in Hong Kong’s IFC Mall With Milk Tea Shakes | Eater

"A New York–born burger and fries concept has opened at IFC Mall in Hong Kong, housed in the waterfront skyscraper among high-end retailers like Tiffany & Co. and Rolex. The outpost largely mirrors the brand’s global menu—burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and frozen custard—while adding local items such as a milk tea shake and a concrete made with vanilla custard, french toast, bananas and peanut butter sauce. The operation emphasizes fresh, “all‑natural” burgers to appeal to consumers who may trust foreign food brands more than some domestic options, and the Hong Kong opening is part of a broader Asia expansion executed via a licensing agreement with Maxim’s Caterers Ltd." - Whitney Filloon

I’ve ordered delivery from this location several times, and while I’m not the biggest fan of Shake Shack in general, I stopped by in person to try the limited-time Dubai Pistachio Shake. To get there, take the escalators next to Falcone—they lead you straight up to the restaurant. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available, with a nice view if you opt to sit outside. The ordering system is quite efficient, especially considering we visited on a busy Sunday during lunch hours. We didn't have to wait long for our food. I tried the Veggie Shack, which was just okay. It leaned heavily on the salty side and didn’t have that satisfying “veggie burger” flavor I was hoping for. The Dubai Shake, on the other hand was better than expected—not overly sweet or heavy. It’s served in a takeaway cup (as it’s labeled “takeout only”), but you're still welcome to enjoy it at a table. I'd recommend sharing it if you're not into overly rich drinks. The self-ordering kiosks made the process smooth and convenient, especially since only one cashier was available at the time. However, the indoor seating area isn’t well air-conditioned and wasn’t very comfortable for dining in.

You really can’t beat Shake Shack. Top quality burgers everytime. Their Smoke Shack is a classic go to but their Texas Burger and Chicken Shack were also really good as well.

I had such a great experience at Shake Shack in IFC Mall! The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Central, and the view from the outdoor seating area is incredible—you can see Victoria Harbour while enjoying your meal. The food, as always with Shake Shack, was fantastic. The ShackBurger was juicy and flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the crinkle-cut fries were crispy and addictive. I also tried their milkshake (the vanilla one), and it was rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. The quality of the ingredients really stands out. What I appreciated most was the staff—they were friendly, efficient, and kept the place spotless, even during peak hours. It does get busy, so finding a seat can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to sit outside, but it’s worth the wait. If you’re in Hong Kong and craving a great burger with a view, this Shake Shack is a must-visit!

Shake Shack (IFC) is one of my top recommendations in Hong Kong, offering both great views and easy access. Located on the upper floor of IFC, it has plenty of seating, making it easy to find a spot. The view, especially at night, is stunning. With beer? With burger? With shake? It is up to you. I believe you will be satisfied with the overall experience there.

Google
This is the only the second time I have visited one of their locations and I have been in Hong Kong for over a decade. Being there again reminded me why. The meat patty is extremely small and thin for the price. The fries had been sitting to long beg they were served. The system for delivering the orders needs to be severely revamped. The counter workers are calling out orders and everyone is rushing to the counter and the food is not bagged or ready. This causes a real bottleneck at the pickup counter and confusion. Sorry 😔 this is a pass for me. The visitors from out of town wanted to try so I felt pressured.

Google
The place is very busy. The food is very good. We got two shake burgers, two fries, and two tiramisu milkshakes. The best was the tiramisu milkshake because it’s unique and we don’t have that back in the US. The service was pretty busy but you can tell the workers were working hard. The place is excellent since there is a seating area you can look outside and have a great view. I would recommend coming here if you’re around the area. Overall, good experience and would come here again for the milkshake.

Google
Shake Shack Delight with a View During my recent visit to Shake Shack, I indulged in a delightful trio: Parmesan cheese fries, a Smoked Shack burger, and a mango sago milkshake. Each item offered a unique and satisfying experience that elevated my meal to a memorable level. **The Parmesan cheese fries** were a standout, with perfectly crispy crinkle-cut fries generously topped with a rich, creamy cheese sauce and fresh green onions. The blend of flavors and textures made for an indulgent side dish that complemented the main course perfectly. **The Smoked Shack burger** did not disappoint. The juicy beef patty, melted cheese, and crispy bacon nestled within a soft, fresh bun created a harmonious combination of savory goodness that left me craving more with every bite. **The mango sago milkshake** was a refreshing treat, bursting with a delightful mango flavor. However, the thin straws provided made it challenging to enjoy the sago or boba pieces within the drink. Despite this minor inconvenience, the milkshake was still a satisfying and tasty addition to my meal. One of the highlights of the visit was the stunning view from the outdoor seating area. Overlooking the picturesque Victoria Harbour, the scenic vista added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, making it truly unforgettable.

The restaurant is located on the rooftop of the IFC mall. I went there on a Monday around 3pm and it wasn't crowded. It's a straightforward burger joint with a nice view. Be forewarned that it could be a bit windy, so be sure to weigh your napkin down.

Yelp
After seeing Shake Shacks in Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and China on this trip, I just had to try it Hong Kong to see what it's all about. Looks like it's known for its Angus beef from "humanely fed" cows. I ordered the "steak" Burger which really a fresh Burger patty with the carbonara shake. Great Burger. Just wish it was a bit hotter and juicer. The shake was interesting with, of all things, bacon bits on top of the whipped cream. It's was far too sweet and I couldn't finish it, which is rare. The price is right. I also went to the one at Harbour Terminal which offered a window seat with the panoramic night harbour view. And for the same price, that's a deal.

Yelp
I was thrilled to see a Shake Shack in Hong Kong after not having it for so long. The ordering kiosk is pretty straightforward and allowed for a quick ordering process. They had the limited edition hong kong milk tea shake when I was there, so we grabbed that in addition to their regular shack burger. The food came out relatively quick, given that it was packed that day. The milk tea shake was hands down the best item I have ever tried from Shake Shack. It was creamy, had a strong milk tea flavour but not so sweet at the same time. Unfortunately, when I came back again the following week to get it, they replaced it with another limited edition item. I am really hoping they bring it back and make it a permanent item. Actually, just bring it to all locations because it was that good. The burger and the fries were amazing as usual. This is probably my favourite fast food chain of all time.

Yelp
It depends on what you're looking for but in my opinion, Shake Shack is the best burger chain on the planet. If you want good quality at great prices, In n Out. Habit burger, what a burger, five guys. All good options. But if you want the highest quality, you go with Shake Shack. Don't get me wrong, it's expensive. Be prepared to spend $15 USD pp but also know that you'll be satisfied. The meat is fresh and not over cooked. The bun is soft and buttery. The lettuce and tomato are crisp. The fries are salty and crispy. The hot dog is just ok so just stick with the burgers and you'll be fine. Yelp
I've been wanting to come to Shake Shack for sometime. I was in the IFC area and decided to finally bite the bull it and brave the line. My four star rating is based on the following: Food: 4 stars Environment: 3 stars (would be higher if this place wasn't so crowded) Service/efficiency: 4.5 stars The line here is really intimidating but it moves really fast. I give the staff here a lot of credit for making ordering and service so efficient. I had the bacon shack burger with a single patty. I haven't had shake shack for almost ten years so it was almost like eating it for the first time. The price of the burger was 62 hkd, which for Hong Kong is not expensive at all. It is pretty hard to find a decent burger at this price point. The burger isn't very big but the patty itself was quite substantial and had a real nice juicy beef flavor to it. The cheese was also nicely melted and even though I don't like American cheese I enjoyed it. The bun is soft and a tad sweet. It is much better than an average hamburger bun that is often dry. The bacon was crispy but wasn't too flavorful. It provided a contrast in texture but I would have preferred my burger without it. The burger also had some red peppers which provided a little bit of tartness and heat to the burger. I really liked the addition and the peppers were a pleasant surprise. My favorite fast casual burger chain is still In and Out. I'm biased though being from California. Shake Shack isn't the best burger in HK. I still prefer Honbo. However, I think it's well worth your time if you are in the mood for a good burger.

Yelp
Since it opened I've been hearing from a lot of people that the lines are super crazy and I didn't believe it until I went one afternoon shortly after 12pm. Given that it was a weekend and lunch time it was to be expected but there is also a metal barrier outside (reminded me of Disney) that didn't have a line yet but the line did wrap around the inside. The seating inside is quite limited so I feel like this location will draw more people on a nice summer day since there are lots of seating options outside with a view. I decided to come again another day 30 min after it open at 11:30am on a weekday and there was no wait. I ordered the HK milk tea shake & Shack burger. HK milk tea shake: great milk shake consistency but a bit overly sweet Shack Burger: I got the single order which was just the right amount and the sauce on it was delicious!

Yelp
*pre-covid* Was so happy to see Shake Shack make it to HK! This is one of my favorite burger chains and the quality of the items was still the same overseas. I love the local menu items that Shake Shack does and would recommend trying out those and local beers.

Yelp
I've revisited the place recently, and the rating stakes. I ordered a smokestack and a black and white shake with fries. While I am still in the fence about the crinkle cut fries, I do have to give props to them for keeping them crispy. That herb mayo is great too! Nothing brings me more joy than a place in HK that gives you actual mayonnaise as opposed to Miracle Whip (gag). The smokestack was good. I liked how smoky it was, and the bacon was light and crispy. The savoury pickles go really well worth the sauce, though I do feel that it would be better served with a more greens. The shake was also good- it was thick, but not overly sweet, and I was able to get a very good balance of chocolate and vanilla in it. 2 years in, it seems they've still got it. PS, that hand washing machine is fun. Shame people fail to the instructions on it properly... IT SAYS PULL THE PAPER TOWARDS THE LEFT PEOPLE!

Yelp
A big hell yes! Have been waiting for Shake Shack to hit Asia for a while. OK, well I've been to the opening of the Japan one but to have one right in HK is awesome. Location couldn't have been better too. IFC rooftop. Enjoy the nice view during the daytime. I am a big fan of Shake Shack (more than In-n-Out.. sorry!) because not only do they offer great burgers but also craft beer. Two awesome things. While you're here, also don't forget to try the HK exclusive - Hong Kong Milk Tea Shake. Just mind when you're going, because queueing for restaurants is one of Hong Kongers national pastimes.

Yelp
Almost a month after opening... that lineup though! It was a solid 45 mins to 1 hour wait to place your order during the Friday lunch rush. Most people in line are ordering for the rest of their colleagues so that somewhat explains the long wait. After placing your order they give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready for pick up at the counter. This gives you some time to wander around hunting for a table to eat at. The wait for our food to come out was about 10-15 mins, so not too bad. We ordered a double Shackburger, Shack-cago dog, Shack Stack, fries, HK exclusive milk tea flavoured shake, and their Shack Attack Concrete. Holy... this was a lot of food tbh, but I mean... I wait for almost an hour so you gotta make the most out of this opportunity!! Shack Stack: Cheeseburger with a fried portabello mushroom. It was really good! You can tell the patty is fresh and pretty decent quality, it's got a dece beef flavour and quite juicy. Fries: YUM. Crinkle cut for extra crispiness!! Didn't choose to get fries with cheese because it was just nacho cheese-looking sauce, mehh. HK-exclusive Milk Tea milkshake: It was okay. Not really a strong milk tea flavour, more of a vanilla ice cream flavour. Lastly... Shack Attack Concrete: it's crazy sweet and crazzzyyyyyy chocolate-y. If brownies, chocolate, and icecream are your thing... then this is a must get. Cus that's literally it x10000. Definitely recommend sharing with someone else as the food can sit really heavy in your gut since it's so greasy (but yummy!). Downside to this experience was the seating. Indoor seats are extremely limited as their kitchen area is humungous. That just leaves you with the outdoor seats. During any season other than summer, these outdoor seats are perfect. But under the blazing sun? No thanks. There's also only like 2 umbrellas so majority of the tables are uncovered. Hopefully management will add more shaded tables as the temperature begins to rise! Overall, this was really good! But that lineup under the blazing sun... I would return again when it's not as busy.

Yelp
Me on Shake Shack in the US: It's okay, there are bunch of other places I could point you to that are just as good, if not better. Me on Shake Shack here: HOLY CRAP!! Shake SHACK?! Let's f%*&ng go!!!! I waited two weeks after opening to go and then went 2 days in a row. Hong Kong has a bunch of burger places-burgers were trendy and HK is nothing if not a trend chaser, Shake Shack is solid but also pretty easy price-wise. Well, if I was back in the States it would be ok, but in crazy high priced HK it's a decent price. I was surprised at how good the burgers were, better than I remembered. The Smoke Shake had a slightly spicy flavor to it that I didn't notice in any of the US versions and while I was a little iffy on their milk tea milkshake, their concretes are excellent. There's still a wait though so I'll probably wait a little more before returning.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh, Shake Shack, how I've missed you. I got a single ShackBurger which, to be honest, you can't really go wrong with. So delicious! The Hong Kong exclusive Milk Tea Shake on the other hand was a definite miss for me. The milk tea flavor was kinda weird and artificial. A friend ordered the Peanut Butter Shake and it was soooo much better. In terms of seating, indoor options are pretty limited, and the outdoor seating is generally okay if it's not ridiculously hot outside. We did witness one group of patrons narrowly miss getting pooped on by some birds, so I'd stay away from the tables located directly under the trees.
google avatar

Leung T.

Yelp
I had a double burger (no cheese) with some shake shack sauce and a peanut butter shake. First the shake. It belongs on a sandwich. I don't know how they did it but it tastes like you are drinking peanut butter. The burger is alright. Couldn't tell if it was grilled. On a Saturday night, the place was doing a rawing business. 50 people on line and a 20 minute wait for food. I'd come back because it's quick and easy. Kinda higher quality fast food.
google avatar

Anita C.

Yelp
The wait on a Friday night (June): 30 minutes The food: I got a single burger. It was mighty tasty. Cheese fries were really good too! There seemed to be some seats around so it didn't seem too difficult. Happy and chill option when you just want to enjoy a burger and also not feel rushed.
google avatar

Russ S.

Yelp
Fun, fast, friendly, tasty, and innovative! The food is good, (especially the cheesy fries, I'm told!) and is of a high quality, especially for a burger joint. The view is exceptional, the vibe super fun, even late at night, and the shake was phenomenal. You've got to check out their hand washing station. Yes, really. A definite return point.
google avatar

Ben K.

Yelp
Nothing to shout about... not sure why so many people is dying for this burger chain store. At least, I had tried it... ok burger here. If nearby and hungry, will consider... but definitely will not make a trip for this burger in my next visit.

Bianca L.

Yelp
Before I get judged for coming all the way to Hong Kong only to eat Shake Shack, I just want to preface with the fact that they have specialty Hong Kong menu items that sounded really good :')) I love the location of this Shake Shack, as it has an amazing view of Victorian Harbor on the terrace of IFC. It's always really lively with a diverse crowd of locals, tourists, and expats, and the energy is great here. Moving onto the Hong Kong specialty menu items: [Milk Tea Shake] I'm not too big of a fan of the shake flavors in the US because they run a little too sweet for my personal preference, but Shake Shack really nailed it with the flavor for their Milk Tea shake. It has an authentic Hong Kong milk tea taste, and the consistency of the shake is really smooth, which is what you'd expect from Shake Shack. [HK Style Concrete] I think this concrete is inspired by Hong Kong peanut butter French toast, which I picked up with the French toast bites and peanut butter packed into the concrete. This definitely was on the sweeter end of what I prefer, but I still really enjoyed it. It was creamy and rich, and the peanut butter was a nice addition to the to the concrete that I wouldn't have expected to enjoy. Overall, a unique take on a Hong Kong classic.

Yelp
This review is really just based on one item I had tried here. But before getting into that item the shake shack in Hong Kong is definitely one of my favorite SS locations by far. Aside from the food, the location and views are the best. You get a nice view of Kowloon and there is plenty of outdoor seating. I came to HK SS to try their signature milk tea shake and I left not a bit disappointed. The shake had a really nice distinct milk tea taste with a combination of a smooth milky texture. When slurping the milkshake it can be a bit of work when drinking it through a straw. But it's still do-able just take some work! Too bad I only got to drink this shake only once during my visit. But definitely will be going back to get it again when whenever I go back to HK.

Yelp
My go to spot on a late night out when most spots are close around central. Loved the hand washing station. Was pretty amazing since we dont have that kinda of tech in the states. Quality and taste was on par with the states. Decor was decent nice layout and comfortable. Love the skyline view of hk on the outdoor eating area.

Yelp
The long awaited Shake Shack Hong Kong just opened on May 1st, 2018. It is located on the 4th floor of the IFC mall with an amazing view of the harbor and the Kowloon skyline. It's shiny and new and everyone wants a piece of it. Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours! Inside can seat close to about 50 people, which I prefer because of the AC, but there is also plenty of seating outside. Please don't be that guy/girl that saves a table for your party when they are still in line. It is not necessary and annoying especially when you have another 30-45 min wait in line. Anyway, another plus is, there is a convenient touchless handwashing machine. It was broken the second time I went, 5 days after the grand opening, but I hope it will get fixed soon. Cute promo items are available for sale (T-shirt, onesie, dog bowl, leash, dog shirt, wine), and they even sell doggy biscuits! Puppy Power! The staff is friendly and appear to be happy to serve you. It takes just under 10 minutes to get your food after you place your order, and it comes out hot and fresh! Just make sure to head straight to the counter when your buzzer pager goes off. The food is made from responsibly sourced ingredients with no added hormones or antibiotics. The taste? Well, the cheese fries were a little bit drenched in too much cheese in my opinion. I mean they tasted great until I got to the middle bottom and it was just smothered in cheese goodness. I needed more fries to balance it out. I suggest getting one cheese fries and one regular fries and share with a friend. The Milk tea shake was good, not too thick, but I sat outside when I had it, and it was hot, so... ?? The house made lemonade is refreshing. The Chick 'n Shack was ok. The shroom patty is amazing! -crispy fried portobello stuffed with melted cheese. Omg, yum! The Shack Stack have both the shroom AND beef patty! I savored every single bite. It's probably my favorite burger right now. And no, you do not want to share burgers here! They get murdered! You also can't go wrong with the classic shackburger. To me, the shackburger is perfect. It has a good ol' greasy (tasty) beef patty with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and the amazing shack sauce! I also tried the concretes or 'vanilla custard' cups in the HK Style and That's My Jam, but I have a feeling I haven't found my favorite flavor yet. I will need to return to try the rest. I also love that they serve beer and wine! Ugh! Now I want to go back after writing this review!

Yelp
Hit the spot! I was in Hong Kong and stumble upon Shake Shack. I was actually waiting to watch Bohemian Rhapsody on the opening day and had to kill two hours so I walked around the mall and saw a shake shack sign so I followed lol This place gets really busy with a mix of local, expats, and tourists. Food quality is consistent with the brand.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
Went in on a public holiday so was expecting a huge line, and guess what I was right. But it passed quickly. The food is amazing, which is no surprise. lives up to it's sisters in the US. My burger was perfection - I was making inappropriate noises while eating it. I also tried the pale ale and it was okay . . . I wouldn't get beer again though because it just took space away from my burger. The cheese fries are much better when you throw the Louisianna hot sauce on them, so do that. My one complaint is how much waste is involved...makes me sad to see so much plastic and paper trash. Remember to clear your own tables. And also don't be a jerk and save more space than you need.

Yelp
I love Shake Shack!!! No matter where the location, it all tastes the same, great flavor. I recommend the double cheese burger and add pickles. The fries were hot and crispy and i added cheese which is always a great choice!!! The line here was really long but it went fast. Seating was packed, but they opened up as soon as we ordered. Shake Shack never disappoints.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is located on level 4 of IFC Mall. From 3rd level you will see the sign (next to the fitness place) then you will need to take the small lift and it should take you to the restaurant main entrance. Small indoor dining area but the outside sitting is a must. A great view of the harbour

Yelp
I'm unsure if I can write a review for Shake Shake. Ted C. from Yelp has basically said what's on everyone's mind. Having tried Shake Shack in London and here, my sentiments exactly: "Me on Shake Shack here: HOLY CRAP!! Shake SHACK?! Let's f%*&ng go!!!!" Good fatty burgers at good price. I once thought I was brave enough to do a double burger - but no. I was wrong. Not even the 1 hour queue made me hungry enough to eat an entire double burger without feeling like going into cardiac arrest. I'll stick with a single. I was defeated! Stay away from their Milk Tea milkshake (signature only to HK). It just tastes like synthetic powdered milk tea in a fatty form. Unless that's your thing of course.

Chi Ho Steven C.

Yelp
I love eating the Shake-shack burgers, and my first taste review of the shake shack burger is good because the burger matches so well with the sauce and personally I just love the shake shack chicken bites. My favourite burger is the chicken shack burger because I love eating chicken but just fried tender chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my go-to when I'm in HK and want a taste of home. The line on weekends can get quite long, but it's worth it. If you have time, try going in the afternoon on a weekday - then you can get a seat outside and enjoy the views.

Lisa T.

Yelp
I had Shake Shack twice while I was in HongKong. Since I work next to one in the states, it's always packed in there, so I want to know what's really the hype? And brought my mom and aunt to try it out here. I went around 2PM on a Tuesday for my first time in HK. I ordered a chicken burger, mushroom burger, fries and a HK Milk Tea Shake. I went in line, ordered my food and it was ready in 5 min. My aunt loved her mushroom burger and my chicken burger was so goooood. Fast forward Monday night. After coming back from Cheung Chau, I decided to go back there for dinner. Fast and we know what to order. So I went up to shake shack, the line wasn't long to the door, there was another long line outside. So to get to the counter was 45 minutes wait and 15 minutes for my foood to be ready. When I was eating my burger and fries, everything was luke warm. You would expect it to be piping hot. But the food was just mediocre. This bring to a 2 stars. +1 star for the view. From someone who lives in the New England Area where Shake Shack all started.

Yelp
Shake Shack do very good burgers and milkshakes. Originally from NYC but now with branches in London, Abu Dhabi and finally Hong Kong. On the Sunday we went the lunchtime queue was circa 45min. Worth the wait in the end! Burgers are better priced than Burger Circus

Yelp
We cane here for a burger and was not disappointed. My husband voted this the best burger he ever had.

Stroggo ..

Yelp
**Superior choice for Burgers in Hong Kong (and perhaps for hotdog too)** At 10:30pm, there were around 15-20 people ahead of me in the queue!!! I mean....Shake Shack officially closes at 11:00pm and still so much crowd! But I MUST SAY- KUDOS to the staff for taking the orders quite efficiently/quickly. Honestly, I didn't have to wait too long in that queue! A FAIR WARNING TO ALL THOUGH, if you go during peak hours of the day and there are 50 people (not 15 people!) ahead of you.... then I don't know how the situation would be Perhaps the queue is shortest around 10:30pm - 10:45pm.......MY WORDS OF WISDOM . Besides it's a nicer view of the harbor at that time of the night. Let's go to THE FOOD - With just the FIRST BITE of a Shake Shack Burger (SMOKESHACK BURGER and CHICK n SHACK BURGER), you can feel right away that it's better than most other burgers in Hong Kong! I also tried the SHACK-CAGO HOT DOG had a similarly nice experience with the VERY FIRST BITE. The Exclusive HK-Style Milk Tea Shake was good and has a nice after-taste. The CHEESE FRIES were definitely better that most Fries I've had at other burger places in Hong Kong I am not done with ShakeShack and it's my mission to try everything else on the menu (and also repeat the SmokeShack Burger and the Shack-Cago hot dog)

Yelp
I'm an In-N-Out girl all the way, so I'm never giving Shake Shack 5-stars. It was good, but not In-N-Out good, namsayin'? Also, the line was at least 40 minutes long the month its opened. I hope its died down since. The one cool thing I like about this place is its Hong Kong menu items like the bubble tea shake. I didn't have enough money on me but I'd want to try this next time I go back to Hong Kong.

Yelp
Shake shack perfect for a family dinner with foods that range from sweet savory or even local wine . This shake shack is located at ifc one of Hong Kong's largest mall which had 2 different seating areas . My only complaint is that the burgers tend to be too greasy and the milkshakes are to heavy .

Yelp
The patio seating is just what I needed on this solo trip! The food comes fast. The burger was good but no seasonings! Very fresh!

Yelp
Went here about two weeks after the place opened. Place still had lines and it's too early for the novelty to wear off. Burger was as expected and meaty. While I can understand the long wait to order, the wait after ordering was just as bad. In fact, the latter spoiled the entire experience. I can tell the company deployed some of their US staff here but it didn't help as that post order wait was slow. I imagine they will fix this problem in due time especially if volime slows. Shake shack burgers are great especially if tired of Cantonese food. There are alternatives though like BLT burger which gives SS a run for thier money in both taste and IMO better value and a nicer sit down environment. If your Keen to cook SS is nothing but a home made burger with generous amounts of ground beef. I still like In N Out better and think it would give SS some good competition.

Yelp
The food is good, but the prices are simply out of line for what the customer is getting here. Many more places deserving of these prices.

Yelp
Shake Shack is a popular chain in the east coast and is a great restaurant, but WARNING TO ALL VEGETARIANS the food is not appetizing for us. They only have one burger for vegetarians and the patty is undercooked and bland. If you are looking for good burgers try somewhere else, you will do much better. The shakes are bland and too thick as well.

Yelp
Pretty good decent burgers at a price that won't break the bank. Not a fan of the soggy buns we got, but the meat was juicy and dripping with flavor.

Yelp
Fries are better than McDonald's fries and I freaking love McDonald's fries so that's saying something. Burger bites so easy so you don't have that weird slurpy thing where you have to pull out the entire tomato with your teeth. Plus service came in literally ten seconds so that's nice, 11/10 would recommend

Yelp
The place is packed as always like the other stores in US. We came here after the play, meat was a little over cooked, and the recipe are the same as the other franchise store.
