Shake Shack Opens Marin County Location in Larkspur - Eater SF

"The second Bay Area location of New York-founded, frequently fawned-over burger chain Shake Shack opens this Wednesday, March 27, in Marin County. The new Larkspur location is tucked inside the Marin Country Mart, at 1401 Larkspur Landing Circle. The new Shack is 2,796 square-feet in size, and features a multi-level deck to accommodate the dining hordes. There, they’ll order Shack classics like crinkle cut fries, ShackBurgers, and frozen custard concretes, plus some new items culinary director Mark Rosati whipped up for the area specifically with local purveyors front and center." - Caleb Pershan

There are touch screen kiosks to place orders. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. The burger was good, but the fries were OK at best. Paid extra for the "spicy" fries, which are just their regular crinkle cut fries with their spicy seasoning dumped on top of the fries. They would be so much better if they just tossed them in the seasoning.

Google
Burger, fries and banana shake were yummy. Ordered single burger with bacon and avocado, very sparse. Restaurant is not set up to accommodate guests from Hotel nearby. It's only a 5 minute walk all the way around restaurant building and through the parking lot? No back or side access, and no sidewalks? The order/pickup system is random. Everyone behind the counter were all busy doing their jobs. I thought it would take longer to walk there, so I requested a 15 minute delay. Young man working front counter saw me waiting and did ask if he could help - very cool of him to see me waiting.

Google
Way too expensive for what you get. We’ve given them several chances and the food is just not worth the cost when you have options like Super Duper Burger and IN n Out close by it’s just not worth coming here. There’s even a great burger at CheeseCake Factory that kills this place. Only reason to eat here would be that you just feel like throwing money away on subpar selections and you do not own a car and live in the parking lot of shake shack.

Google
We really enjoyed the burgers we got the other night. This was my first time having Shake Shack. The ordering process was easy and the food was done quickly. We played Foosball while we waited, which was fun. I like the bacon and cheese fries I got with my burger. The burger I got was cooked well and was still nice and juicy. I’ll definitely eat here again. It was more expensive than the average burger place but it’s a nice treat every once and awhile. The shakes here were great!

Google
The very first visit ever in my life 🤷🏾 I started out with the initial five 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 mostly because I was homesick and #Prince came on while I was in the lobby ❤️ so I just knew I was in for a special treat and that all changed quickly the burger was slathered and almost invisible under the black truffle sauce as it was “plentiful” so much that I just wiped it off. The chicken bites were so salty and the breading came off as I tried to pick it up to eat it 🤦🏾 the best part of my meal was the fries they were still warm when I got back to my hotel 💯 Take your time people and put it together like you want your food to look 🤷🏾

Google
Great burgers and shakes if you are willing to take the calories overload ... great location in a quaint and very charming mall with plenty of kids and adults attractions ... and some serious competition on Sundays from the food truck court. I've been a fan now of Shake Shack burgers as a cut above the rest of the typical burger joint for a while, and restaurants continue to be cleaner and more pleasant than that average joint ... price increases have made it a bit less of a great value than it used to be just 18 months ago. The photos are from the surrounding outside the store as we did quick takeout and forgot to take pics inside.

Google
Had the Golden State Double, fries, & cookies & cream milkshake. Dinged a star for not having Mt. Tam Graham and Vanilla Larkspur. The burger was tasty, juicy, & really delicious. But, they put lots of mayo (or whatever sauce). Crinkle cut fries were crispy so that's a plus. The milkshake was good. But, I thought it didn't standout from other milkshakes I've had. I dinged another star because the iPad I tried to order from didn't work. Also, if you're a cash customer, you need to pay at the cashier (only 1 register). Get in early because parking in the shopping center gets packed quickly. I got in around 10:45 AM & still had to park a ways out. Not sure if I'd come back. Distance, toll, & first impression is holding me back.

Google
The food is exactly as they market it. A great place for a greasy burger and a milky shake. The bathrooms are clean, and the best way to avoid the mediocre customer service is to simply use the kiosk! 👍

Yelp
I've always been a big Shake Shack fan for any of their burgers, crinkle fries & cheese sauce, any of their shake's. The price point is a bit higher than most fast casual burger joints but since I don't eat burgers all that often the extra price is ok with me. The whole burger is made with organic and fresh items and I particularly love their shake sauce. If you want to keep the carbs low you can get it with a lettuce wrap. They have a large variety of lemonade's, fountain soda and so forth. If you really want to splurge there's an extensive choice of shakes and custards. I would recommend getting the malted choice on the shakes. For the dog owners they also carry dog biscuits for your furry family member (s) too.

Yelp
Shake Shack Marin Country Mart has solid burgers and service, but the dwindling sizes makes me question the value. Shake Shack will always have a special place in my memories because I remember being so pleasantly surprised by the their burgers at their original location in New York. The burgers were top-tier: the meat was cooked and seasoned well, the fixings were the perfect ratio, the sauce put everything together, and the bread was slightly sweet and soft. While I still enjoy the ShackBurger, I do not get the same satisfaction and feel like I need another meal. It just feels like shrinkflation hit Shake Shack hard. Plus, since then, many more burger chains have opened, and I feel like there are equally good burgers at a better value now. They do at times have interesting new burgers or shakes that can be interesting, but I still feel like their classics are what keep me coming back (even though half-heartedly). The Marin Country Mart location is nice because it is fairly new with self-service kiosks. Alternatively, you can order through the Shake Shack app. It does take some time so be patient if you are hungry or order ahead on the app! The parking can vary depending on how busy the Country Mart in general is, but usually possible to find. Overall, Shake Shack has solid burgers that I will go for nostalgia but hard to recommend when there are now better options.

Yelp
Chicken nuggets are super greasy, deep fried. Could only eat 3. French fry portions are small. Don't recommend.

Yelp
My only complaint was the bun that was used for my hamburger was soggy by the time I took a bite of my hamburger. However, overall the food and service was very good and my order was on time. I'm glad I ordered the portabella mushroom with 100% Angus beef hamburger with guerye cheese instead of a regular hamburger. It was delicious. To top that meal, I ordered the root beer float with their homemade custard ice cream. Very satisfied with my meal, I would highly recommend shake shot period Shake Shack. I was impressed, Will definitely return to shake shack. Their gourmet hamburger beats any of the hamburger I've eaten around Marin county.

Yelp
I had their SmokeShack (Angus beef cheeseburger with applewood-smoked bacon) today for lunch. The overall taste was fine, but I was reminded of the old commercial "Where's the beef". The beef patty was about 1/8" thick. That's not what I really want in a burger. And yes, I'm willing to pay more for a better burger.

Yelp
This was my first ever Shake Shack dining experience. This Shack is in the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, CA. The cheeseburger, fries, and shake was delicious! Milkshake loving intolerant folks rejoice. The Shack offers non-dairy chocolate shakes and custards. The shake was delicious. It was thick, creamy, and chocolatey. Mmm. I offered Hubs a sip and he couldn't believe it had no dairy. The crinkle cut fries was served hot and fried perfectly. Yum. I took a bite of Hub's cheeseburger, it was juicy considering it it grass feed beef. But for $7.19, the size of the patty and overall burger was smaller than I expected. Another notable menu item worth mentioning was the wine options. It's wine served in a can... white, red, and rose. Also the seating is wood bench slats. I didn't find it particularly comfortable though. But we didn't stay for very long.

Yelp
ordered for pick-up & was ready in ~7 minutes! as we walked in we were immediately greeted. we decided to dine-in due to the weather - thankfully, they have condiments and water available! my boyfriend had a double shack burger & i had the avocado bacon burger and added lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. there was a good amount of avocado on mine, though the entire burger was soooo soft. i like texture in my food, so i was expecting maybe a crunch from the bacon or lettuce, but had none. the fries were alright, nothing i'd crave, and we dipped them in a side of shack sauce (mayo-heavy). honestly, those had more crunch than our burgers. with $5 off, our order came to $25 total. with that price & quality of the items, you are better off going to in-n-out instead.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Good burgers and fries. Recommend eating it fresh there! I placed an order for pickup via the app and there was a bit of a wait to get our food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There is a parking lot but it gets pretty busy during the weekends and lunch hours. It may take several circles before finding a spot.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance are consistent with the Shake Shack brand. The Shack burger has a nice smashed patty. The sauce is pretty good. Solid burger. No complaints. The fries are crinkle fries, which (again) is on brand and yet somehow funny to see because not many places do that outside of really old school diners. That said, the fries are good. Drinks and condiments have their own station. Tables inside are set up mostly for small groups, but there are also a number of places available to sit outside and put tables together. The Larkspur Landing location is convenient, with plenty of parking options. You can also avoid the crowded parking lot and park along the street because Shake Shack is right on the corner of Larkspur Landing Circle and Quarry Road. This location is understaffed, so it's much easier to order ahead via the website or app. You can also order on the iPads located inside. For whatever reason, it's tough to customize orders that way, so if you have kids who need something exactly right, ask someone for help. Overall, totally fine burger spot with a not-too-greasy burger.

Yelp
I've been going to Shake Shack since the first NYC location. Best burgers, crinkle fries, and milkshakes. Such a great deal for the price. I was elated that this location opened. It's convenient, has good hours, is reliable, and has ample indoor and outdoor seating. This place is a staple!

Yelp
We ordered food for eight people for a co-workers birthday, Used DoorDash for delivery. We did not receive our whole order and Shake Shack said they reviewed the video and the DoorDash person stole the rest of our food. Said we would have to reorder and pick up the food. Alternatively, we could have credit on the DoorDash account. Problem is, we paid with company credit card. Shake Shack was not helpful. Based on how expensive the food was (came out to $35 per person for fast food...not kidding) vs. the quality (so/so at best) and zero service to resolve the problem, will never order from Shake Shack again. For anyone ordering using Doordash, make sure to check your entire order before the delivery person leaves.

Yelp
I guess the choice is whether you go to Shake shack or In-N-Out Burger been from California I choose In-N-Out because I think it's a little better than Shake shack. I don't like the ordering system at Shake shack
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around noon. They were fairly busy, but not packed. You walk up and order at a touchscreen. It's fairly well organized and easy to navigate. We ordered * regular fries: very crunchy on the outside and well salted. It's got the fluffy potato goodness inside. Finger licking, inhale it, good. * I ordered the shake shack burger w/ pickles and sauce on the side. It's a satisfying and filling burger. I like this party better than super duper, which is dryer (leaner); the sauce felt heavy in Mayo and I needed a bit of ketchup in it * hubs got the burger with bacon and crispy onions. It was good, but I thought the onions were a bit overpowering of the burger flavor Overall, tasty but not as beefy as I'd have liked -- maybe because the patty is so thin My daughter got the hot dog which was a bit dry. Overall, food we respectable and I would r be sad to eat here again. If it were priced 70% what it's priced, this would be 4-5*. At ~$10 per burger and ~$4.5 for drinks -- it just felt pricey. I'd come for the fries for sure!

Yelp
$17 for a small burger and a watery shake. Poor value. There are lots of better options in the world.

Yelp
Just came out of your place . I was looking for my husband and my two granddaughter . I walked in with my daughter n before even getting past the door one of the employees asked ( very rudely) if I was there to use the bathroom . I said , no we were looking for my husband and grandkids . She said they haven't seen anyone here and if I was lying or making it up . I'm sorry , what??? Definitely rude and very unprofessional. Found my family outside eating in the car because I'm accepting people inside but the actual heck is going on. You may want to train your employees on how to handle their customers
google avatar

Delilah L.

Yelp
I ate here earlier. The burgers were good but the only issue was that they were so small you might as well go to a different place it doesn't not fill. I feel like it could only be good if it was like a late night dinner where you eat light. The service all together was pretty good. You order then sit and they bring the food. Not a bad place.
google avatar

Yelp
We always stop by this Shake Shack location when in the Marin area. It's convenient to get to right off the freeway with plenty of parking in that back area of the Marin Country Mark plaza. If I planned far enough out I'll usually place an order on their app, otherwise, there is never really any line here so I just order at the kiosk inside. The food is prepped pretty quickly and generally ready within 10 minutes. The cheeseburgers and crinkle cut cheese fries are always a go-to. Occasionally, I'll try something limited like the recent "Hot Ones". It was not spicy at all. My burger only had a tiny dollop of the hot sauce. I can't wait til they bring back the black sesame milkshake. That was my favorite!
google avatar

Tanya M.

Yelp
First time being able to eat inside as I found this place during the pandemic and we ate in our car at the time. This is a great location with other eateries and shops to check out and has a big parking lot too. We ordered Shack burger for mom in love, smokehouse burger, fries and Oreo & cream shake for me and hubby got the bourbon burger combo. The cashier gave us a number for our table but didn't bring food to us instead yelled out the number. Thankfully the place was quiet and not very busy. That was my only negative. Hubby prefers the shack burger as his burger was just alright. I loved my burger but the highlight of my meal was the shake! I normally don't like shakes nor can I finish them but this thing was so good that I was kind of sad when I finished it! Definitely will always be getting a shake from there. My entire meal was great though. Looking forward to coming back whenever in the area.

Yelp
Annoyed. Their website was not taking online orders and when we drove to the restaurant, it had a sign that they are only taking online orders. Dining room is closed and no explanation. What a way to treat customers who drive out of their way.
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
Burger was ok but for $13 I'd expect more. The kiosk is a waste of time and energy especially if you order a beer bc you have to wait for an employee to come over. You add your phone number to get texted but that never happened. You add a table number but they don't bring it to you. Service was below par as many employees were just waking around on their phones. Could have been better. Total bill for burger fries and soda was $25! I could go to in n out twice for that.
google avatar

Robin W.

Yelp
When you order on an iPad, get the confirmation via text that says you will be texted when the food is ready - and then you don't get a text, nor is the food delivered to your table despite taking a table number and entering it in the order...well Im sorry I tipped. Food was cold by the time I walked to the counter to check on it.

Yelp
Things continue to deteriorate at this location; it was a few years since I've been here and the consistency is not there. I've never had chicken nuggets with so much oil, mind you the oil tasted dirty/used for too long. For the price point, probably one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend this as I'm still trying to digest the oil while trying to write this review. Please shake shack, train your cooks when someone pays $8.99 for teeny nuggets they expect them to be edible.

Montréal O.

Yelp
Yummy! Truffle Fries and burger are so good! Got delivery so can't speak to the dine in experience.
google avatar

Michele A.

Yelp
I have heard about Shake Shack for so long and was so excited to finally be able to try it, sadly disappointed! I ordered the crispy mushroom burger, so small and no mushroom flavor with just a gush of kind of not so great cheese. The fries were mediocre at best. The shake was quite good, so I guess there's that....
google avatar

Catherine W.

Yelp
Chicken Tenders (6 count) came out too hot to eat and they forgot the ranch sauce. When they cooled down enough to eat, they were very salty. Creamsicle float looked and tasted chemically. Crinkle cut fries ok. Self ordered at kiosk and as i removed my credit card, the credit card reader fell off into my hand. There was no service as we ordered at the kiosk, then fetched food when they paged us. Ambiance - ok, not too busy on a Tuesday afternoon.
google avatar

Est A.

Yelp
Their burger is relatively delicious and their fries are my favorite not a fan of the cheese sauce. Has more of a breakfast yellow cheese flavor. Their frozen custard is a must-try. Staff need to improve their customer service skills. They provide an air-conditioned indoor dinning area with plenty of seating and an outdoor shaded are with a good amount of tables and chairs.
google avatar

Yelp
The app doesn't work, can't order online, they won't help you order over the phone. I was trying to buy lunch for my team and we were going to order food for 10 people. I couldn't get the app to submit the order. I couldn't get the order on the website to go through. When I called into the location the manager said they can't take phone orders. I provided a solution to order on the tablet at the location for me and he wouldn't do that either. Terrible service. Never spending any money at shake shack again.

Mark B.

Yelp
Food was great....but, music inside was very loud and I question the whole tip thing! Left tip on the computer for what? I did my ordering, he brought my food to table but no napkins or ketchup. I had to fetch both of those. I think I deserved the tip.

Yelp
Hungry for a great burger? Head stratight to a Shake Shack ASAP! I started going to Shake Shack in NYC after Martha Stewart raved about it. Food is great /'prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I know that many people love their Shake Shack, especially East Coasters, but I have to admit I'm more of an In N'Out kind of guy. But a burger for lunch sounded like a good idea and we were spending a day at the Marin County Mart so this sounded like a good idea. I ordered online and though I'm much prefer dealing with a real person, I didn't have any issues with the system like many others in this review had. I got a double shackburger with fries. The burger overall was decent but I'm not a huge fan of the potato bun- seems like a little soggy/soft for me. Also it seems a bit pricey for me. I do love the crinkle cut fries though, they are always fun to eat! Definitely not my go to burger place, more of once in awhile for me.

John E.

Yelp
The good: we like the burgers, the shakes. The bad: PLEASE, pull out the booths and reinstall them at a distance inhabitable by humans. Two of us whacked our knees hard on the steel I-beam table leg today. All the booths are crammed together and screwed to the floor. Our legs were interlaced with the people sitting across from us. Terrible design.

Yelp
Great experience! I came in a large group and the service was awesome as well as the food! I would recommend this location!

Yelp
Came about 1hr before closing to grab some late night snacks for our drive back across the bridge. First no one was at the register and even though a few employees saw me i was ignored. One young man came to the register and appeared he didn't know what he was doing. Another young man can to the register and again said he needed to get a manager. Finally Gwen came to the register and said "i see you already have a bacon cheeseburger?" NO! I haven't ordered yet "I said very politely with a smile" They proceeded to take my order: 2 fries, 10 piece nuggets, The new veggie shack, small chocolate custard. $30+ dollars Added chocolate shake in second order Gwen was very nice with excellent customer service everyone else was a child in training. Nuggets were greasy to the point the breading fell off Fries tasted like reused old oil and very greasy as well Veggie shack was pretty good but Id pass on the pickles next time 4 people ate the food and all of us got extremely bad stomach aches Highly recommend the health department visits this location

French fries are good for crinkle. Not my favorite style. The truffle burger is very good but nothing like advertised photo. Jake S. Business Customer Service. Don't see where I can message you Andrelarouche2@gmail.com

Yelp
Came her just for dessert. Place was relatively empty compared to other Shake Shacks I've been to so I was pretty happy except that the 3-4 terminals for ordering were pretty cramped and the scanner at the register was having trouble. Also some kids were rolling around crying and screaming at the feet of their parents. Only in Marin!! Anyway, ordering was easy and I sat down and observed the gal who was making shakes and ice cream. I watched her make our order and place our two containers in the side freezer next to the counter. This is something SS does right. Just like not watching your burger go cold sitting on the counter, you don't want your ice cream to melt. But as the minutes rolled on, we sat there in a fairly empty restaurant watching people working and putting orders on the counter and calling names. After 5 minutes and watching someone after me get their order, I asked if I had missed my name and was told no. Finally roughly 10-12 minutes after I had ordered my ice-cream and milkshake, my name was called when I saw her pull out my shake and ice cream (the place was so not busy that I saw only two milkshakes made during my wait). So by the time I got my dessert at least everything was nice and cold and frozen! Their ice cream and milkshakes are arguably the best amongst burger joints (not a fan of their small overpriced burgers and have had issues of uncooked fries in the past). I just think they need to change their process for ordering dessert like their competitors at Gotts and Super Duper which have you wait at the counter as they dispense your ice cream. That way you can come back quickly after your meal, etc.

Yelp
Food was mid. Subpar even. The service was decent I guess, since you order through a kiosk. An exception for the only staff member who interacted with us by bringing us our food and politely asking if we wanted any other items. Anyway, I could've sworn the burger came with lettuce and tomato (that's a mistake on my end) and I'm not sure if that's something you have to ask for but I was so sad to see it was just meat, bread, cheese and half of a black avocado for extra. The fries suck. There's like no salt and they feel stale and microwaved. I could've sworn the food here taste better before. Did love the passionfruit drink tho, bedside the fact that it was filled 3/4 way with ice.

Yelp
Standard Shake Shack meal. Posting a review due to great customer service. My wife didn't realize her shroom burger came with cheese, which she doesn't eat. They re-did her order with no hassle. The employee even came to the table to make sure she was fully aware of how it was made to ensure it met her expectations. Great job Shake Shack!

Yelp
so good, as always. fresh, hot, delicious. would dine in again. good price for a quick bite near sf too!

Yelp
I had my first Shake Shack experience a decade ago in New York, and despite the hype I have to say it delivered - a fantastic fast food style burger chain and a suitable East Coast counterpart to In-N-Out burger. Fresh, flavorful burgers with an emphasis on quality. My experiences at the Glendale location mirrored the East Coast quality pretty well, and all around just a very solid fast food location ... maybe a tiny dip from the East Coast outlets, but very respectable. When the Country Mart location opened, I'd say it was on par with the other California locations, and we even saw the owner of Shake Shack overseeing things in those early days. But things have really slipped. The customer service has gone way downhill, employees are harried and annoyed if you need anything like an extra sauce (if you can get one to talk to you at all). It's almost impossible to actually order with a person and the kiosk system sucks. The restaurant never feels especially clean now, either. But all that's forgivable if the actual food is good. It's a burger stand, let's not expect the French Laundry. But at nearly twice the cost of In-N-Out burger, they can't even get a simple Shack Burger and fries right anymore. I've been again and again hoping it was just an off day. A simple burger and fries can cost like $20 and with no apparent benefit to the quality. The burgers are carelessly assembled, they look like an absolute disaster, the amount of sauce and toppings varies wildly from one visit to another, and they've gotten a lot greasier. Last visit my burger patty was blackened and crispy with no sauce in 3/4 of the burger. Dry and frankly off tasting. And because timing of the orders is always weird, it's common for the fries to be cold by the time you actually get them to the table. And the chicken tenders and limited time offers -- best to stay away because they are so darn inconsistent. Gotta say, my last visit was my final. SAD!

Yelp
Good burger. The staff was great A+. I give him alone 10 stars. He did a great job. I will definitely come back. Now the milkshake was meh but that might have been what I got.
google avatar

Yelp
For not being very busy it took them about 15 min to get our order out. I would understand if they were busy but they were not. Burger was just what I remember ingredients are fresh and delicious! Crinkle fries were crispy and soft. The 50/50 was good but I would love if the lemonade was more lemony but that is just my preference I want tart lemonade. All in all I would go back again just hope there service is better and doesn't take as long.

Yelp
Shakes carry HARD, but they also got good burgers and fries and pretty good ambiance. 8.4/10

Yelp
I'll try to give an honest review which may be difficult in the Bay Area with all of the In & Out Fans here. Being a Bay Area local and growing up with In & Out, I had to give Shake Shack a try. Not sure why everyone compares In & Out to Shake Shack as there are other chains like habit burger, Super Duper, Five Guys, etc but somehow we've created "you can only like one or the other." I decided to finally give Shake Shack a try. I ordered just the basics: 1. Shake Shack Burger: I really love how burger places have their signature which makes their burger unique. I feel Shack Shacks signature is their cheese. The same cheese they put on their fries seems to be on their burger and it's SOOO GOOD! The quality of the meat is also excellent and high quality. Just tasting the patty on it's own had so much flavor. The bun was very soft. The only thing lacking I felt was the "crunch" you get from other burgers. It had lettuce but I think the bun isn't grilled or something so it wasn't as "crunchy" if that makes sense. 2. Cheese Fries: SOOOO GOOD! Their fries are perfectly cooked and crunchy the way I like it. Again, the cheese is how I always want my cheese on everything. Perfectly melted, flavorful and delicious. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the service was excellent. I liked how easy it was to order on their ipads and they had my order ready in about 5-10 mins and notified me via text message. The location is beautiful and clean. Lots of in door and outdoor seating. Didn't have a problem finding parking. Shake Shack definitely is more expensive than other burger places. The price for the burger and fries together was about $11.50 after tax. I know everyone is wondering it's comparison to In & Out. Shake Shack's patty quality is definitely way better and their fries blow In & Out out of the competition. However, I don't think people go to in & out for their fries. Overall burger wise, I think for the value/cost aspect, In & Out's bun, sauce and overall "crunch" when you bite into it is the winner overall. You can get two in & out burgers for the price of one shake shack burger. In a perfect world, the shake shack patty placed into an In & Out burger would be orgasmic. Overall I prefer In & Out just because it's cheaper and I'm not as picky but if you're huge on the quality of the meat over everything else, I'd go for shake shack.

Yelp
Great food, very organized, always packed but they are super efficient so by the time our food was ready we had a table. Ordering was simple and service was quick. The location is perfectly located by shops. Always a great experience. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Horrible place. No need to write details, this place will not change. No service here. Tables are dirty, employees seem to do nothing and still want to get paid. I would fire them all. Cashier girl took my cash, check her pockets, pulled up her pants and fixed the fries on an order with the same black gloves.

Yelp
WHEN: Sunday @2pm - During COVID-19. I thought that perhaps around 2pm after lunchtime it wouldn't be busy. Boy, was I wrong. There were a good amount of people there waiting for their food. Around 1:55pm I was too late to place an order for the 2:15 curbside pick up slot, so I chose the the next: 2:30pm. Here's a tip: No matter how many times you arrive earlier than your time slot, you will never received your food earlier. Even if you arrive in the designated parking spot for curbside pick-up and hit the button "I'm here". Your food is usually ready at least 5 mins after your time-slot. Heres how you order on the app: 1.) Choose your location 1.) Choose pick up option: at counter or curbside in car (where you'll enter your car info.) 2.) Choose your food 3.) Choose your time 4.) Upon arrival park in the spots labeled Curbside Pick-up. 5.) You should have received a text to confirm that your order. 6.) In the app, you can hit the button "I'm Here" 7.) You will receive a text when your food is about to come out. Here's what I ordered: KOREAN-INSPIRED FRIED CHICK'N - $7.99 This limited-time chicken sandwich features a spicy-sweet gochujang-glazed crispy chicken breast over white kimchi slaw and toasted sesame seeds. Shake Shack teamed up with Choi's Kimchi Co., a family-run kimchi biz from Portland, Oregon, to use their tangy white kimchi (salted, seasoned, and fermented veggies (this one includes Napa cabbage, daikon radish, and green onion)). You know, even though I didn't get to eat it until about an hour later cuz of my commute, it was pretty darn tasty. I really enjoyed the spicy-sweet gochujang-glaze and kimchi. It has a tiny kick but totally manageable for someone who can't handle spicy food like me. KOREAN GOCHUJANG CHICK'N BITES (6) - $5.49 Crispy, whole white meat chicken bites served with spicy-sweet gochujang mayo sauce. I got the 6-piece one. Okay, so I thought they would cook the sauce into the chick'n bites like they would with the Koren-Inspired Fried Chick'n Sandwich. But you're really ordering Chick'n Bites plus $0.50 extra for a side of the sauce. The Chick'n Bites had a very nice crispy batter with nice flavoring, but its all super dry white meat on the inside. So you will definitely need some sauce! And man do I love that spicy-sweet gochujang mayo sauce! It's pretty much sweet Spicy-Mayo. KOREAN GOCHUJANG FRIES - $3.65 Crispy crinkle cut fries served with spicy-sweet gochujang mayo sauce. Same here...it's like you order regular fries and you pay $0.50 for the sauce. Ofcourse I ordred a ShackBurger ($6.19) too! Gotta have my backup plan! That's because a friend went just a day before me and unfortunately had "a batch batch". She said some parts of the fried chicken wasn't even battered. I'm glad mine wasn't the case! Everything was delicious!

Yelp
I've eaten at various Shake Shacks over the last six months - midtown Manhattan, downtown San Francisco Westfield shopping center, and this Larkspur location today. Believe it or not, this one exceeded the other two. How can that be? Especially NYC where it originated. We came here for our 19th hole after playing golf in nearby San Rafael. My Shack Shake burger was temperature hot, and it was prepared in a timely manner. Crinkle fries were good. I only wish I wasn't so hungry. My burger seemed like a slider. The seven of us sat outdoors at two tables. Plenty of outdoor seating. They've got this motion detector garbage can. Pretty cool. Lots of parking as Shake Shack is located at the Marin Market Mart.

Yelp
I only ordered a single standard ShackBurger so no complaints from me. I like having the tablets on the side for people to place their order and pay. Find a table then listen for your name to pick up your food at the counter. Napkins, condiments, water cups, and other items on the side if you desire. Burger was yummy and tasted fresh. I would say it's an In-N-Out equivalent. Interior was generally clean, along with the restroom.

Yelp
My first visit here two years ago was marginal so we decided to go back to see if it had gotten better. I'd say we had a better visit this time. It was less busy and we could find a table outside. That was better. My daughter's burger (Bourbon Bacon Cheddar) was the stand out item of our meal (4 stars). It was the bourbon bacon jam. I ordered the Chicken Shack sandwich. There wasn't enough herbed mayo but it was a decent sandwich (3 stars). My daughter also ordered the churro shake. It was good for one or two sips but had way too much churro in it. My daughter didn't finish it. If you know what to order, this can be a good place to stop for a meal. I won't be rushing back next weekend, but would stop by for the Bourbon Bacon Cheddar burger if I was in the area.
