"Opening Wednesday, March 27, I expect the second Bay Area Shake Shack to draw lines: it's a 2,796-square-foot Shack tucked inside the Marin Country Mart with a multi-level deck to accommodate the crowds. Culinary director Mark Rosati emphasized local purveyors, so alongside Shack classics like crinkle-cut fries, ShackBurgers and frozen custard concretes you'll find the Golden State Double — two Angus beef patties from Richards Grassfed Beef (sourced through Oakland’s Cream Co.) with white cheddar, pickles and smoked garlic aioli on a potato bun — a burger already praised in Palo Alto. There are also two Marin-specific concretes: the Mount Tam Graham (chocolate custard, marshmallow sauce, graham crackers and dark chocolate chunks from Dandelion Chocolate) and the Larks-brr (vanilla custard, marshmallow sauce and “crispy crunchies”). Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday." - Caleb Pershan
