5 Exciting Things To Eat & Do In London Between August 6th - 8th - London - The Infatuation

"We are suckers for a funky logo and absolutely powerless in the face of good wine, therefore we have zero hope of not spending some serious cash at Shrine To The Vine. A brand new wine shop and delivery service from the people behind Noble Rot magazine (and importantly, wine bar heaven, Noble Rot), you can now officially head here for everything from classic wines to more left-field numbers that have huge present potential for your vino-loving mate. Find them a couple doors down from their OG wine bar on Lamb’s Conduit Street, open 10am - 8pm Monday to Saturday. Oh, and if wine isn’t your thing, know that they’re also stocking magazines." - heidi lauth beasley

Noble Rot: One of London’s Best Wine Bars, Opens Shrine to the Vine Shop | Eater London

"A new wine shop opened by the Noble Rot team on Lamb’s Conduit Street in Bloomsbury, established as part of their Keeling Andrew & Co. import business and reflecting the wines featured in the group's magazine and restaurants. In addition to a focused wine selection it stocks merchandise, magazines and books, and its logos and shop art were created by long‑time collaborator Jose Miguel Mendez (who also designed the label for the house 'Chin Chin' wine). The inventory emphasizes mature classics from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rioja and Brunello, sought‑after grower Champagne and up‑and‑coming natural producers; highlighted bottles include François Rousset‑Martin’s lightly oxidative 'Cuvée Professor' 2018 (£58) and Justin Dutraive’s Fleurie 'La Madone' 2019 (£43). The retail launch was accelerated by the pandemic: as an importer the owners could leverage an existing stockholding but required new premises, staff and systems to service private customers to their desired standard." - Adam Coghlan

What a lovely shop! Really excellent, well thought through selection of wine; so you’re covered from the cheaper, weirder alt-natty end of things, up to classic French and Italian stuff that’s a couple of hundred quid. It’s intelligently laid out, with plenty of space so not overwhelming at all. Bonus points for smelling so nice (there’s an Aesop shop next door).

Amazing wine store with an impeccably curated selection at terrific prices. I bought a 1986 gewurztraminer and 1995 Barolo for less than 100 a bottle, both were perfect condition. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I never go to Bloomsbury without a trip to the Shrine!

As per the other reviews, the customer service is excellent. Sylvio spent time with me in choosing the right wine. Not rushed and thoughtful choices as per my price point. Ended up buying more than intended just because the service was so good.

Walked in here with a very nice bottle of Scotch I needed a carrier for in order to take it on the plane in my luggage. The sweet man behind the counter popped off to get wrapping materials even though they didn’t have a carrier I could buy. He wrapped my bottle well and wouldn’t take payment! This is a shop the understands the value of good service for high quality product- even if it isn’t there’s. Well done.

Easily one of the best collections of wine in the city. Very knowledgable team and to be honest you can kind of close your eyes and pick anything and it will taste great and be made by producers who champion authenticity above anything else.

What an amazing selection of wines and awesome people. Probably the best wine boutique shop I found in London. Whatever they recommend will be great!
