Meet the "World's Freshest Doughnut"! Our doughnuts are made daily, from scratch, using only the finest ingredients possible, and no preservatives...ever! We use fresh, seasonal products and make everything in house from real ingredients--infused glazes, hand crushed compotes, flavored custards and creams, and even homemade pie crust and streusel crumble toppings. Our doughnuts are fried in small batches every hour, guaranteeing each customer a fresh and warm treat. Flavor selection changes monthly, with a weekly Gluten Free option. And since everyone knows that doughnuts and coffee are a match made in heaven, we also feature our own signature blend espresso, as well as a rotating single origin drip and cold brew.
"Sidecar is a fancy donut mini-chain that started in Costa Mesa and has since grown to seven locations around LA. If you’re looking for the upscale donut trend's patient zero, you'll find it here: Sidebar started putting things like salted malt cookie dough and huckleberry jam on dough rings back in 2013, and they’re still the best at it. We’re not sure their signature claim of making fresh donuts every hour is true at all locations these days, but regardless, eating one of their Butter & Salt donuts while warm remains a religious experience. Go with the cake donuts over the yeast ones." - Garrett Snyder
"Sidecar Doughnuts is making a big push into Los Angeles. The Orange County upstart known for its inventive flavors and long Costa Mesa lines only just opened a new outlet down in Torrance, but now Eater has confirmed at least two other locations are on the horizon. First up is Manhattan Beach, the South Bay city already known for its culinary prowess. Sidecar will slide into Manhattan Village shopping plaza off Sepulveda, which is already home to a variety of restaurants including chains like Island’s and LA Mexican food staple Mercado. The second location lands at busy Third and Fairfax, right next door to the Trader Joe’s and within walking distance to the Original Farmer’s Market (with its own old school doughnuts) and the Grove. Both locations are slated to open sometime next year, though there are no formal timing announcements to be made just yet. Sidecar Doughnuts continues to thrive even with increased competition in the artisanal doughnut market from names like Blue Star and Voodoo. The company has a busy location down in Del Mar, and opened up in Santa Monica back in 2015. It’s Torrance location is hosting its first full hours of service just today at Rolling Hills Plaza." - Farley Elliott
"The flagship store of Sidecar Doughnuts, founded in 2012, is located in Costa Mesa, Orange County." - Candice Woo
